Re: ODT SUNDAY 6 SEPT ~ SAT SEPT 12

Trish, I would have loved to go to one of their concerts, but we didn't. I'm with Warwick on the yogurt, lol.

I was on the porch picking up a package from Walmart. The Amazon truck came and left a package at my neighbor's house. I got a text my package had been delivered. No package at my house. I walked across the street and it was my package. First time this has happened to me with all the Amazon packages I get.

I weighed this morning and weigh the same as last week. I guess that's better than a gain.

Today is laundry day...I have no specific day, just needs to be done today. I'm going to get my suitcase from the garage and start laying out what I want to take for this cruise.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 6 SEPT ~ SAT SEPT 12

Okay, I'm here.  I've been reading along most weeks, but this darned keyboard is just so weird.

This is what Cheryl is referring to. I thought she needed some hugs to wrap around herself during this difficult time.

I'll come back tomorrow if I can to post some updates.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 6 SEPT ~ SAT SEPT 12

Sandra- I had shingles 3 times in a short period of time about 20 years ago. It was diagnosed quickly each time, treated with an antiviral (valtrex) and last about a week each time. No big deal. I never got the shingles shot, nor did DH, and we won’t. After the Covid fiasco, (only took the first 3 shots)…no boosters, etc we never got any and have no plans for that either. We do get the flu shot every fall.
I have to get a tetanus shot as I haven’t had one in at least 15 years.
It’s pouring here in the Adirondacks since 4 this afternoon. Hopefully, it will rain itself out and warm up the rest of the time we’re here.
Carol- good to see you posting.  Love the quilt.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 6 SEPT ~ SAT SEPT 12

CAROL so very thoughtful, as always, you have a heart of gold ((((hugs)))) I know Cheryl will love it, it's gorgeous!

SANDRA possibly the RSV as well as shingles, we had to have them both, our Dr recommended it. The RSV is to prevent serious illness in older patients, nasty virus.

JANET looks like rain here also today!

HOLLY has had the surgery, an update from someone a separate post, maybe her- not sure, says Drs said it went well, I'm sure she will be in ICU for a bit.

I just got back from getting Dean, we are into the last of everything LOL - he is very happy about it all, although he had a complaint - a lot of girls have been messaging him on Instagram, they are collecting for different teachers for an end of year gift, he said it's annoying and going to cost him a fortune LOL Typical that the girls are doing it, the boys don't worry about end of year gifts.

I need to get organised, I ordered a new floor cleaner ( for tiles and wood) and it's coming tomorrow -  hope it works - Philips electric floor mop, looked good on the ad, we shall see, better than what I have - I hope LOL

(((hugs))) and prayers
Trish

Re: ODT SUNDAY 6 SEPT ~ SAT SEPT 12

Carol, you are always so kind and thoughtful to our ladies here. Another beautiful quilt!

Holly, glad to hear things went well.

I have a lot do do today so need to get busy!

Janet, I'll enjoy Lake George through pictures, as I have no plans to make it to New York. I read the tourism season is short there and that's why it's so expensive. Is that because of the cold weather moving in?

Re: ODT SUNDAY 6 SEPT ~ SAT SEPT 12

Today was beautiful…80* and full sunshine!  Depending on one’s interests there are lots for tourists to do all year.  The busiest time is May through mid Nov.
Lake George is 35 miles long and 32 miles wide at its widest part.. Queen of the Lakes…
If it wasn’t for the cold snowy winters, medical care we would be living here… the taxes and politics of NY are also deterrents.  Reasons why we left NY.

 SIGNS OF THE TIMES......
1.  ON THE WALL OF A BRITISH COLUMBIA CLEANING SERVICE:  ABLE TO DO THE WORST POSSIBLE JOB.
2.  IN EACH ROOM IN A LONDON HOTEL:  IF YOU WISH FOR BREAKFAST, LIFT THE TELEPHONE AND ASK FOR ROOM SERVICE. THIS WILL BE ENOUGH TO BRING YOUR FOOD UP.
3.  IN A MEMPHIS BARBER SHOP:  HAIR CUT WHILE YOU WAIT.
4.  IN A BEDFORD NH RESTAURANT:  FREE DINNER ON YOUR BIRTHDAY.  IF TODAY IS YOUR BIRTHDAY, SHOW US A VALID DRIVER'S LICENSE AS PROOF AND YOU WILL GET YOUR ENTREE FREE.  ONCE A YEAR ONLY.
5.  IN A NEW YORK JEWELRY STORE: GENUINE FAUX PEARLS.

ITS ANOTHER GORGEOUS DAY.  LOVING IT.  WILL ENJOY IT TIL THE SNOW STARTS BLASTING.

MY SON SHOPS FOR ME TOMORROW SO THAT MEANS CHICKEN WITH RICE SOUP FOR HIM ALONG WITH HIS USUAL ITALIAN SANDWICHES.
WITH DAU COMING MONDAY TO BRING ME TO HEART DR. I PLAN TO MAKE HER LITHUANIAN BUNDIES.
MY COOKING PLANS ARE MADE.
TODAY IS FRIDAY.  NEARLY THE WEEKEND.  NOTHING MUCH PLANNED EXCEPT A FEW CHORES.  I HOPE TO READ.  I AM STARTING THE JAN KARON SERIES OVER AGAIN.  LOVE THAT SERIES OF BOOKS.
WISHING YOU ALL A GOOD DAY AND WEEKEND.
HUGS FOR EACH OF YOU.  QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY 6 SEPT ~ SAT SEPT 12

Holly, thinking of you and sending love & hugs.

Linda, I was on the way to work and thought the guy was joking on the radio! I stopped at a phone booth and called Billy at home. I haven't watched any of the coverage and don't really want to.

I met Gary for lunch at Chickfila. He filled me in on what's happening with his family.

The kids start back in public school on Monday. They will be riding the bus, which picks them up at 6:30! School ends at 2:30. Hannah is going to school to be an anesthesiologist and that's why they are back in school.

Emily fell beside the bed, hit the nightstand, bruised 3 of her ribs. She is only working half days for now. Gary thinks it was low bp.

Logan starts a new job on the 17th...yea! I am so happy about this!

Emily's Dad has been passing out. He passed out in his truck in their yard and hit a tree. The doctors don't know yet what is causing this. It has happened twice. He's a really nice man.

Wegovy increased dosage has made me very fatigued. I take the second one Sunday. At least there is no nausea or vomiting, which Emily has had on Ozempic. I don't see me ever reaching the highest dosage, lol.
