I thought going out late yesterday on my outing, the stores would be less crowded. I was wrong! Have never seen so many people in Ross for less I had to wait 30 minutes in line to check out. I found some nice Goody hair brushes for Sadie Grace for Christmas… In pink of course the cashier said they were so crowded because people are shopping for school clothes. The 2027 journals are out, so I got a really nice one, so it wasn’t a wasted trip. I also found a planter to put my fake olive tree in. I might ruin it, but going to try to cut it down from 7 ft. to 5 ft.
I went in Home Goods to look for a small lamp. They do n’t sell touch lamps with USB ports, so I left. I want one with the USB port so I can charge my hearing aids.
I had a good loss this morning, so I’m a happy camper! Maybe next week I will be at my next goal if I behave, I am back on intermittent fasting and not cheating, lol. 😀
Judy, that is funny about the pizzas. It just shows how much you know each other.

I got a lot done today! Got up and exercised. Got two things ready for mailing. Made a to do list so I don’t forget things. We had a bunch of clothes and kitchen things to donate, and we have a new thrift store in town who is taking donations that she will then sell, so we dropped those off, with a bunch of blue Walmart bags. Then we went to IHOP for brunch. Got my Walmart order started. Texted with my brother and the man I call my third brother, and my girls.
Yesterday my baby turned 43, and it was also her 12th anniversary!

Good evening friends!
Monday and Tuesday were pre-transplant testing days at the Cleveland Clinic for Dean. They were long days, but productive as he has to have those tests and be cleared in all before any transplant date will be final. Now he has to have a 3rd round of chemo since his transplant date is not set. They do not want him to come out of remission, so chemo it is. We are not happy about it, but I don't want his leukemia to flair up. Nobody seems to know what the delay is on the transplant date. Our coordinating nurse did not know either. She said he has a 100% nonrelative stem cell donor match, which is rather rare. He is showing no signs of a "leukemia blast" in his white blood cells and his cells are very low. Well, we just have to wait. I have to say, the Cleveland Clinic is like a city!! It is has so many buildings and is so spread out! However, we had to go from building A to the building J and we never had to step foot outside. They have aerial walkways connecting the buildings. It did take us a little while to find our way, but they have help stations all over and they are very informative. Plus, if one is too tired to walk, phones are located every so many feet and we can call for a shuttle. They have golf carts to deliver people. So nice.
Trish, I agree with the soccer statement about the goalies. My son, Aaron, played goalie position and he was very good at it. I hated when those players were one on one with him as they were nearly impossible to stop the kicks from entering the goal. He always felt horrible when they scored on his watch. Sorry the USA and Australia teams are out.
We had a break in the weather today as it was lovely and nice. We had over 100 degree weather and then tons of heavy rain. We enjoyed today for sure. Dean and I walked a while at the lake, but he tired easily, so we only did a mile and came home. We did see a couple of herons, so that was fun.
I have not forgotten to put clothes into the dryer, but I have put clothes in the dryer and forgot to turn it on! I had to re-wash to make sure they had not soured after I discovered them. ![]()

GOOD MORNING!
PODIATRIST IS ONE APPOINTMENT THAT LOOK FORWARD TO GOING. ACTUALLY TOO LONG BETWEEN VISITS, BUT THAT IS WHAT MEDICARE DICTATES.
STILL HOT. WELL TOO HOT FOR ME. GOD BLESS THE CREATOR OF AIR CONDITIONING. GRATEFUL FOR IT.
MY GRANDMOTHERS HOUSE COULD BE FAIRLY COOL. IT WAS A TWO STORY WITH LARGE ATTIC FOUR SQUARE. WINDOWS ACROSS FOR VENTILATION. FRONT PORCH ACROSS FRONT THAT HAD AWNING SO FRONT OF HOUSE STAYED SHADY. BEDROOMS UPSTAIRS COULD BE A LITTLE WARMER THAN DOWM STAIRS. GRANDMOTHER WOULD CLOSE WINDOWS AND BLINDS WHEN SUN ON THEM. ALSO ATTIC HAD SOME WINDOWS THAT COULD LET HOT AIR OUT. IT WAS BUILT IN EARLY 1900s. LIVED THAT HOUSE, FOND MEMORIES. MY GRANDMOTHER HAD A VERY GREEN THUMB AND HAD LOVELY FLOWER BEDS.

Linda, your remembrances are always a pleasure to read. Always sounds like you had a lovely childhood. And you and your sister are such good friends. Another blessing...
Having no siblings, I still have been blessed with good friendships. Sadly, seven of my eight girl classmates and many other friends have all passed except for the one classmate who lives a bit away from here. I have my close friends, Bobbie and Cheryl, nearby, Mary Leigh all the time, and the bonus? All of you, for what? over 20 years, now and just a keyboard away at any time. ![]()
QB, I looked at your blog and the casserole recipe. It looks easy and good. Right down my alley, now. Thank you. It doesn't really matter who come up with the ideas, it's the fact that you all don't just sit in your respective apts., alone, but get together, share and help one another. AND, we get to hear about it! ![]()
Cheryl, thanks for keeping us up on Dean's progress. Our friend, Jeff, when his dx was pancreatic cancer was able to get into Cleaveland Clinic and with their help got his on-going treatment at M.D. Anderson in Houston and he's doing well. Was recently accepted into a trial with a new CA drug of which there was only a 50% chance. Anyway, glad that you and Dean can still do some of the things you've always done. ![]()
Howard got another small electric hand mower for the slope between our property and the neighbors fence. And...he can't get it to start. Is tearing his non-existent hair out trying to return it, since he's done everthing he can. I thought he should just let it grow up, as he can't mow it with the his new riding mower. (too unstable and tippy). It would hardly be noticeable, as their back yard is a jungle. But he won't do that.
Here's tip from Heloise's daily column: A doctor's advise for itching insect bites is to put a compress of hot water, as hot at you can stand on it. The person said it increases the itching terribly, but after that her bites don't itch anymore. She's done this for years, successfully.
My current bites are past that point but I'm going to try it on any new ones I get. ![]()
It's suppose to rain here this afternoon, but so far, it's sunny, hot and humid-- typical mid summertime.
Have a good day and sweet dreams. Indy

Went for my outing and only stayed gone an hour. It was a bust because I wasn't in the mood to shop, but did get to walk around awhile.
Greg and Carter are visiting. This is the earliest they have come and it's usually on the weekend, but they've been tubing in Helen, GA and got home yesterday.
Cheryl, it's good Dean will have a 100% stem cell match. Sorry he needs a 3rd round of chemo.
