Hi, everyone!
I've had no time to read, but thought I'd get on and bump and lock the threads.
My brother is slowly improving, and he is still in a rehabilitation facility. We are peaying for a complete recovery. 🙏🏻
I hope you are all well! 🙏🏻

MY GRANDSONS' UNCLE ON THEIR MOTHER'S SIDE PASSED AWAY. IT WAS FROM CANCER. HE WAS ONLY 51. THE FAMILY IS VERY CLOSE. HIS WIFE HAD A HEART ATTACK AND UNDERWENT DOUBLE BYPASS SURGERY A FEW DAYS BEFORE HIS PASSING. THEY WERE IN SAME HOSPITAL, BUT IN ICU ON DIFFERENT FLOORS. SERVICE IS NEXT SATURDAY.
HAVE A NICE SUNDAY.

2. THIS MOVIE IS NOT FOR THE SCREAMISH.
MORE SNOW COMING. LOCAL FORECASTERS TELL US 5-8" STARTING LATE TONITE AND INTO MONDAY. NATIONAL GUYS PAINT A DIFFERENT STORY AND WORSE SAYING 12-18". I HOPE OUR GUYS ARE RIGHT. I HAVE A DR'S APPT ON TUESDAY. THAT'S WHY I HATE MAKING THEM FROM DEC. THRU MARCH. YOU NEVER
KNOW WHEN A STORM WILL HIT US.
LINDA......SO SORRY FOR YOUR FAMILY'S LOSS. AND HE WAS SO YOUNG. THAT'S REALLY SAD. HUGS FOR THE FAMILY.
DIANE......NICE TO HEAR YOUR BROTHER IS IMPROVING AND EXPECTS A FULL RECOVERY. HUGS FOR HIM.
I WOKE EARLY AGAIN. I SEEM TO BE FALLING ASLEEP EARLIER THESE NITES AFTER SO MANY CHORES DURING THE DAY. I WAKE EARLIER SO I AM ABLE TO DO A CHORE OR TWO BEFORE LUNCH, OR BRUNCH. TODAY I SORTED MY ELECTRIAL DRAWER. I HAD SOME REALLY OLD STYLE CORDS IN THERE LIKE WHEN I HAD EQUIPMENT CONNECTED TO MY TV THAT IS LONG GONE. TOSSED THAT STUFF OUT.
I GOT ALL MY FABRICS DONE AND SORTED. GIVING AWAY A TALL OVER 4"PILE OF IT AND I STILL HAVE ENUF TO LAST ME TEN YEARS OR MORE.
TODAY MY SON SHOPS SO LAST NITE I MADE HAMBURGER SOUP FOR HIM TO TAKE HOME. HE ALWAYS TAKES HOME SOME ITALIAN SANDWICHES EVERY TIME SO THAT'S A GIVEN. AT LEAST NO COOKING IS NEEDED FOR HIS MEALS TONITE.
I AM ALL SET FOR ANY STORM. BLANKETS ARE READY AS ARE THE BATTERY LANTERNS AND FLASHLIGHTS. I WILL KEEP RECHARGING MY PHONE THROUGHTOUT THE DAY. I HAVE SARDINES ANDCRACKERS AND THERE'S PEANUT BUTTER AND BREAD FOR FOOD IF THE POWER GOES OUT AND I CAN'T HEAT UP ANYTHING. ALSO CANNED FRUITS ARE AT-THE-READY. MANY HALF GALLON BOTTLES OF WATER FOR DRINKING AND WASHING AND A BRITA PITCHER FOR CLEAN,SAFE WATER. BOOKS TO READ AND CARDS FOR PLAYING SOLITAIRE IF IT GETS DULL. I AM PREPARED.
STAY SAFE AND WARM ALL THOSE IN THE PATH OF THIS NEW STORM. ITS GOING UP THE I-95 CORRIDOR SO WILL HIT MOST COASTAL AREAS AND SOME MILES INLAND.
HUGS LADIES. QB S ![]()
OH, IF YOU DO NOT HEAR FROM ME TOMORROW OR EVEN TUESDAY, BLAME IT ON THE STORM AND NO POWER. I AM FEELING HEALTHY AND IN PREPPED FOR THIS STORM.![]()

I came home from retreat about 4:30 yesterday afternoon. It was actually scheduled to end after breakfast today. But because of the weather prediction I figured I’d best leave. Anyway there was only light rain, 43 overnight and now the sun is struggling to come out. The locals say we will have wet “non accumulating “ snow this afternoon. Like Sandra said, hopefully the locals are correct because I have a dr appt tomorrow and another on Tuesday.
The retreat was ok. Nice to get out. I didn’t know anyone but most wee welcoming and friendly. I’m terrible with names, always have been. The food was much better than the January retreat…
Back later. I’d like to unpack my stuff.
Painters are scheduled to start a week from tomorrow so we need to prep the 4 rooms. I was hoping DH would have done some of that while I was away, but didn’t. 🙁
Sorry to hear about the illnesses and passings. 😞

Good morning. Old Man Winter is back! We woke up to four inches of snow blanketing everything. It's still coming down and the wind is fierce in gusts. And, after church on-line, Howard is off to the grocery.
Not me. I'm staying in. The stores around here are trying to lure more customers for their 3-day weekend specials and there were some things he was determined to go for. He's fairly willing to go alone, now, since he can make much better time without me on several levels. Actually, we ended up conferring on a list before he left. How can two people eat so much? ![]()
I thought I have a lot of fabric, but you girls have me beat I'm pretty sure. You'd probably gag at the stuff I have, much of it weirdo stuff I've pick up here and there at garage sales. But, I do love it when something works and I can use it. Will be going up to my sewing room, today to check for something I can use on my current hand sewing project--a small spring wall hanging using some beaded, floral embroidered trim from an old blouse Mom had.
Diane, better news for your brother, thankfully. Hope you're health is improving, too. ![]()
And, Linda, so sorry for the loss in your extended family. Fifty-one IS so young and then, the serious surgery with his wife. As for you, keep coming back. I, for one always enjoy your posts and hearing about your family. Hope Darrell is doing well...
QB, you are "setting the house on fire"...with your reorganization and chor-ing. Is that a word? Grandma used to remind Grandpa to get "coated" up to do the "choring". ![]()
I'm going. Have to revel in the small dose of alone time I have right now. Blessings.

It was 75 yesterday and 46 for the high today. Tonight it's going to be in the 20's. I want the sun back. ![]()
I thought Greg & Carter were coming back today, but they are flying into LA today; Atlanta tomorrow. He said they did good with the train station, but said you would be totally lost if you didn't educate yourself before you go. I'll be relieved when he texts me. He's really good about that and has sent me some great pictures and videos.
Diane, prayers for your brother.
Janet, I thought you wouldn't go on this retreat, but I'm glad you did. I probably would not have went if I didn't know anyone.
I didn't get the dishwasher unloaded yesterday, so I'll go do that now. Hope y'all have a wonderful Sunday.
