IN THE MIST OF CHOOSING COLLEGES.......
1.  IN MY SENIOR YEAR I AM SERVING AS WRITTING EDITOR OF THE YEARBOOK.
2.  I HAVE MADE THE HORROR ROLE EVERY SEMESTER.
3.  I PROLIFERATE WITH ENGLISH COURSES.
4.  I WANT TO BE FULLY BILINGUAL IN THREE OR MORE LANGUAGES.
5.  I CAN READ, SPEAK, AND WRITE GREEK FLUENTLY.  MY OTHER TWO SPORTS ARE TENNIS AND VOLLEYBALL.

IT LOOKS LIKE WE MAY GET MORE RAIN TODAY,  WE COULD USE IT.  TEMPS HOVERING AROUND 70.

HOLLY........SORRY TO HEAR YOU ARE NOT UP TO PAR.  YOU ARE IN MY THOUGHTS FOR A SPEEDY RECOVERY.  ITS AMAZING HOW MEDICINE HAS IMPROVED DURING OUR LIFETIME.  I AM SURE YOU WILL BE HOME SOON AND GETTING INTO YOUR USUAL PURSUITS.

JUDY......I MADE STEAK SIMMERED IN SAUCE YESTERDAY.  IF YOU WANT A DELISH STEAK THAT'S TENDER, TRY SIMMERING IT IN TOMATO SAUCE FOR 2 1/2 TO 3 HOURS.  MMMMM GOOD.  I USED WOME LONDON BROIL FOR THIS ONE.  SERVED WITH LINGUINE.  I HAVE ENOUGH FOR LEFTOVERS TO ENJOY TODAY.
WHEN HOWARD GOES TO THE VA FOR HIS APPTS, DOES HE AND THE OTHER GUYS GET TOGETHER AND CHAT AND PASS THE TIME TOGETHER.  IT WOULD MAKE IT EASIER TO TAKE THE WAITING I THINK.
HOW NICE YOU MET SOMEONE YOU COULD TALK ABOUT OLD TIMES WITH AT PT.  A GOOD WAY TO PASS THE TIME.

CHERYL.....I NEVER REALIZED BEFORE WHAT A PATIENT WENT THRU BEFORE HE GETS WELL WHEN FIGHTING THIS DISEASE.  ITS A LONG, TIRING STRUGGLE.  I AM SURE YOU ARE BOTH EAGER TO SEE THE END OF IT.  BLUE SKIES AHEAD FOR YOU BOTH.  GIVE DEAN OUR BEST WHEN YOU SEE HIM AGAIN.

TALKED WITH MY INSURANCE PEOPLE.  SHE HAD AN ACCENT BUT WE MANAGED AND SHE WAS SO GOOD ABOUT HER JOB.  I NOW KNOW WHAT THE COSTS WILL BE FOR ME WITH 3 DIFFERENT BLOOD THINNERS.  ITS DOABLE.  I HAVE A $600 DEDUCTIBLE BEFORE I GET THE COSTLIER TWO MEDS AT A SMALL COST.  THE COUMADIN/WARFARIN THOUGH WOULD COST ME NOTHING.  OF COURSE THERE IS THE TESTING ONE MUST GET DONE OR DO ONESELF WHICH MEANS MORE WORK, BUT IF ONE HAS TO HAVE AN OPERATION OR A TOOTH REMOVED, THE WARFARIN TAKES A SHORTER PERIOD OF COMING OFF THE MEDS SO ONE CAN DO THE JOB SOONER.  SIDE EFFECTS, TOO, MAY BE LESS OF A PROBLEM WITH WARFARIN.  I SHALL DISCUSS ALL THIS WITH MY CARDIOLOGIST ON THE 14TH.

I SORTED MY PILLS FOR THE WEEK.  GOT ANOTHER BOOK OUT OF MY STORAGE SO I CAN READ.  WILL TRY TO GET OUT OF MY APT FOR SOME PUZZLE WORK TODAY.  MY CHORES ARE JUST A FEW AND THE PILL SORTING IS ALREADY DONE.  ITS GRAY OUTSIDE, LOOKING LIKE RAIN THO THE THE CLOUDS MAY MOVE FURTHER INLAND.

I don't know if it's this site or my internet but it's pokey and odd???  But, I'm going to give posting  a whirl.

Holly, what a shock for you.  QB had some good thoughts about modern medicine.   I'm sure you'll be in the best hands and you have Ralph and Heather and now, Eddie as nurses to take care of you, if needs be.   Hugs.

QB, Howard, while polite, is not a person to visit with others unless they persist.  He is stopped regularly (because of his Navy cap) in W-M by other old veterans who want to reminisce (sp) about their service days and as I said, he is polite and always chats with them.  I generally go on with my shopping and he catches up with me.  At the VA, he says it's abuzz with that, but he tends to keep to himself and read his book on his phone.  Yesterday, he was there 6 hours for a 5 min. appt. to continue applying for the various things he qualifies for. He's already receiving a monthly amount of $180.   He always comes home hungry and tired, but not usually crabby.  He could have done this years ago but always felt like he made a decent living so let others, more needy,  take advantage of VA benefits.  Interestingly, besides the old vets at W-M there are those that walk around the store for the very purpose of looking for and then urging qualified vets to sign up for the benefits they've earned. (Sometimes, I think they're asking him  for money because there are people that do that, too.) I must say, he always gives them something.  

Cheryl, I know you'll do okay.  I have several friends who are not medically-trained who have had to do things that they thought they could never do.    I'm sorry Dean still has to go thru hard things.  Having him home and living normally will be so meaningful. 

We are Roomba-ing the floors.   It won't do what I want it to so Howard, who is upstairs watching football, has to come down from time to time  and get it going again.  It's a great help but running it seems to be "out of my wheelhouse" (a lingo-ish comment I do hate.) 

Devonne, caring for an aging pet is so very tiring, plus all the worry and the watching over them.  My friend, Cheryl's two daughters are each  dealing with their beloved old Lhasa Apsos, both of whom have major medical problems.  I hope you and Gracie get the rest you need, today. 

Howard just came in with the mail.  He received an ad  decorated with rubber duckies that says, 'Howard, don't miss our LUCKY DUCK walk-in tub sale', which gave me fits of laughter.  With that, I'll say goodby and have a nice day.
