I STARTED A NEW JOURNAL YESTERDAY.  MINE RUNS OUT ON TUESDAY.  THIS TIME I AM RESERVING A WHOLE PAGE TO DOINGS AND NOTES AND AS A DAILY DIARY OF WHAT'S HAPPENING.  
I NEVER MADE THE POTATO SALAD OR PANCAKES YESTERDAY.  I MADE FROZEN FRIES INSTEAD.  TODAY I HAVE STEAK I REALLY NEED TO COOK SO WILL MAKE PEPPER/STEAK SUBS.  I HAVE PLENTY OF PEPPERS FROM THE FARM MARKET,

Temperature 75. Humidity 78%. AC still on. 

I saw an interesting article. When we hear ducks and geese overhead in August, they are doing practice flights with this years babies, teaching them how to fly in formation, and how to position themselves for the best airflow. They will do the actual flights south next month. 

Lunch today with F and C will be at Mission Barbecue, always good. 

Sandra, I have 2 planners. One I follow my weight and what I’m cooking, the other is my craft journal. I keep a list of the books I read in a little notebook, I’ve been tracking that for years. 

The food thief is interesting. Is it someone really poor who needs the food, or someone just greedy. 

QB, that time is getting closer.  Today the Tom behind us climbed in his tractor's bucket while his girlfriend drove and sawed down the  top of his tree that hung over our back yard and hauled it and a dead tree of ours into his woods.  I went out and met her for the first time and we exchanged names, and niceties, ie, 'if you ever need anything,  please come over'...for example.   I expect it's a good 200 ft. to their back door, so it's a trek, of sorts.  Having a tractor is beyond necessary with this kind of work.   And we don't have one!    So, bless him...

Guess Theresa and Todd are in Alaska.  Can't wait to hear all about it. 

Glad you're home, Trish, tired but content.  Plus no one to tend to or even talk to.  Well, maybe Pete...

ML is finishing up helping with a 3-day garage sale at her friend's in town.  They've had quite the characters come by.  She's kept me laughing as she has called  while they have dealt with them.  One of them was Claudia's 80-ish male neighbor who, when it was suggested to him that he didn't have to stay, told them he liked the social outlet and proceeded to talk with various customers and refer to things as "our" sale.  Also, took up one of the chairs  meant for the helpers and then offered for them to sit on his lap.  Men never seem to look in the mirror or get it that they aren't God's gift!  I 'spect they'll all collapse this evening.

We are having our usual frozen pizza for supper tonight.  And, fresh peaches that are delicious.    Tomorrow is Medicare checkups and grocery shopping.

Gracie's vet visit was this morning. She does have arthritis, confirmed by just feeling of her and it's in her back. She was prescribed pain meds. I had her anal glands expressed because she's been scooting on the concrete patio on her butt. When we got home from the vet, she went on one of her running sprees...first time in months! Greg said this was her problem. I found out she will be 13 next month.

I went to Walmart after I dropped Gracie off at home. This is the second time this has happened to me...weird it only happens in Walmart! I could hear my voice echoing thru my right ear and my breathing! It's so annoying! I read it's caused by weight loss and can also be caused by dehydration. I always have a bottle of water with me. It's called patulous eustachian tube, where it stays open and doesn't close. I read it's because of the dry air in a huge store, but it hasn't happened in any other store? By the time I get to my vehicle and sit there a few minutes, it's already gone. I guess Walmart can deliver my groceries from now on.

Greg told me Dolly Parton passed away...How sad...not long after her husband died.

Carter's high school has open house at 6:30 so I will be going with Greg. I'm anxious to see the inside.
