PARENTS GET IT WRONG.......
1. PLEASE EXCUSE MY DAUGHTER'S ABSENSE. SHE HAD HER PERIODICALS.
2. SUSAN WAS NOT AT SCHOOL YESTERDAY BECAUSE SHE HAD HER FIRST MENOPAUSE.
3. STANLEY HAD TO MISS SOME SCHOOL. HE HAD AN ATTACK OF WHOOPING CRANES IN HIS CHEST.
ITS GRAY AND LOOKS LIKE RAIN AND ITS COOLER TOO. ONLY 74 RIGHT NOW.
SEW HAPPY/ PATTI.......ITS ANOTHER ANNIVERSARY FOR YOU TODAY. I HOPE YOU AND YOURS ENJOY A GREAT DAY TOGETHER. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.![]()
JONI.....HOW NICE YOU ARE GETTING SOME VEGGIES FROM YOUR CONTAINER GARDEN. NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS FRESH PICKED.
I, TOO, NEED TO GET BACK TO SEWING BUT MY SEWING ROOM IS TOO HOT DURING THE SUMMER, EVEN WITH A FAN. I HAVE A FEW PROJECTS IN THE WORKS BUT THEY HAVE TO WAIT.
HOLLY.....OUR FREE PRODUCE WAS SOME KIND OF GRANT TO OUR TOWN. THEY PAY A COUPLE OF FARMERS WHO BRING FRESH PRODUCE TO THE FIRE STATION PARKING LOT ON THURSDAY MORNINGS. ITS ACTUALLY A BIG LOT ADJOINING THE FIRE STATION. I THOUGHT IT WAS FOR SENIORS ONLY BUT I SAW A YOUNG MOTHER THERE WITH 2 YOUNG BOYS. I SHOWED THE BOYS THE CARTON OF CHILDREN'S BOOKS. ITS AN ALL MORNING THING SO I DON'T KNOW IF OTHER YOUNGER ONES SHOWED UP.
DEVONNE......GOSH, 80 TO 100 OZ OF WATER A DAY? I BARELY HAVE 2 QTS AND THAT INCLUDES MY TEA AND SOFT DRINK. I GUESS I HAVE TO TRY A BIT MORE.
AS FOR STORES RUNNING OUT, WEEKENDS ARE PROBABLY THEIR BUSIEST TIMES. I KNOW OURS ARE WITH THE VACATIONERS DURING SUMMER. OUR STORES PRETTY MUCH RESTOCK DURING THE DAY AS WELL SINCE WE HAVE SO MANY MORE FOLKS SHOPPING IN SUMMER, BUT ONCE IN A WHILE MY SON CAN'T FIND SOMETHING ON MY LIST.
I MADE THE CHICKEN RICE SOUP LAST NITE BUT NOT THE BUNDIES. I MAY TRY THEM THIS MORNING SINCE THEY WON'T TAKE AS MUCH TIME USING PUFF PASTRY BOUGHT AT THE STORE. WE SHALL SEE HOW THAT WORKS OUT.
I WISH YOU ALL A FINE DAY TODAY. HUGS, QB S ![]()

Good morning.
I must be livin' right. Howard reminded me that he has another meeting to attend this morning from 9 til noon. So once again, I have the house to myself. Yesterday, he was at the VA for 6 hrs. when they announced that the officer they were all waiting for, was tied up in a meeting and wouldn't be able to get there that day. Many left immediately, but he and some others stayed and talked with volunteers who took their information to pass on to that man. Sounds like what vets say about the service..."hurry up and wait!" ![]()
Happy Anniversary Patti and hubby! Wishing you many more and hoping you have a wonderful day. ![]()
Andrew is coming home only to leave for a wedding reception of one of his h.s. classmates.
He's got his car in Chicago, now, so they'll not have to run to pick him up from the train. Nothing's been said, but I might get to see him tomorrow. His mother is good about seeing to that.
(my weed outside is now several inches taller-almost up to the top of the door trim. So far, Howard hasn't noticed it so it's still intact.) I'm really not daft, just a bit quirky! ![]()

Cheryl, bit by bit and step by step for you two. And, am so glad Dean feels good enough to walk.
Also glad your insurance isn't giving you fits. We're all with you in spirit as you already know.
I've heard you can drink too much water and that the same amount isn't for every person. Spoken from one who always drinks too little, admittedly. But we do beat ourselves up over too many things, me thinks, sometimes. I say that also from watching and worrying over the amount of liquids Howard has always consumed. He's been told by his docs to slow down. That over drinking can put too much stress on his kidneys. (He has SOME kidney issues.) Not trying to start something, just dithering out loud. ![]()
I believe we'll get the sweet corn, today, as he plans to run by the farm on his way home.
And now he has money! He got some at the credit union yesterday and I gave him some ones this morning...my egg money! ![]()
I've finally been doing some slow stitching. It IS meditative and satisfying. I did have a small hole to fill in with stitches and honestly, now it looks sort of like a wart or mole.
Going to add some leaves and vines and maybe it'll look like the flower I intended. Using grayish-brown emb. floss might be the reason it looks like a mole??? ![]()
Time to quit this silliness and do something else. Have a great weekend. ![]()

Cheryl and Trish, have your nephrologists given you an amount of fluids per day that they recommend?
Devonne, if/when you start the GLP-1, be aware that it will slow things down. You want to keep up with fluid and fiber.
Sandra, what a great grant! Win win!
I’m making a new breakfast casserole for dinner. Bread (I’m using a maple streusel bread) topped with cooked sausage and cheese, and beaten egg and milk mixed and poured over. It has to sit for several hours before baking. I’ll report back.
I have also not been in my sewing room. I’ve been cross stitching and a little reading.
Last night I made tacos for dinner, we hadn’t had them in a while.

Thanks ladies! We spent the day at home. Monday, maybe when it's less busy, we're going to Duluth and to the park on Lake Superior where we got married. It's a nice place to listen to the waves, and gulls, and pick rocks.
