I posted on last week's thread.
But wanted to bump this up. It's been sunny here after fog this morning. I've been lazy all day and rested, read and knitted a bit ![]()
Enjoy your Sunday!

IT'S TRUE......
1. MAY YOUR TROUBLES BE LESS, YOUR BLESSINGS BE MORE, AND NOTHING BUT HAPPINESS COME THRU YOUR DOOR.
2. I AM CURRENTLY UNSUPERVISED. I KNOW, IT FREAKS ME OUT TOO, BUT THE POSSIBILITIES ARE ENDLESS.
ANOTHER LAZY SUNDAY FOR ME WITH SUNSHINE AND GREAT TEMPS.
SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT THE KIDNEY ISSUES WITH A COUPLE OF YOU. THAT STINKS. WITH ME THEY WERE WATCHING MY LIVER. HAPPILY THE LAST LAB WORK INDICATED IMPROVEMENT. I FIND IT STRANGE SINCE I ONLY HAVE A FEW GLASSES OF WINE AT XMASTIME EVERY YEAR. WHEN YOUNGER HAD A FEW BEERS DURING THE SUMMER, BUT I WOULD VENTURE TO ADD LESS THAN 20 IN MY WHOLE YEAR AND ONLY ONE VODKA TONIC WITH MY ANNIVERSARY AND BIRTHDAYS DINNERS OUT. HARDLY ENOUGH TO DAMAGE MY LIVER. OH, WELL.
I JUST HAVE TO WAIT ON A PACEMAKER IN MY FUTURE SINCE I HAVE A 2ND DEGREE UV HEART BLOCK. OR IS IT UB BLOCK? I NEVER GET THOSE RIGHT.
ITS SUNDAY SO MY DAY OF REST AND NOT A CHORE IN SIGHT. LOVE IT.
I WILL PROBABLY WORK ON MY JIGSAW PUZZLE AGAIN TODAY AND DO MORE READING. ONE OF THE GALS PUT A JAMES HERRIOT BOOK ON THE 'FREE' TABLE. I GRABBED IT. I LOVE THE JAMES HERRIOT STORIES. THIS IS A LARGE HARDCOVER VOLUME TITLED THE BEST OF JAMES HERRIOT. FAVOURITE MEMORIES OF A COUNTRY VET. THERE'S 498 LARGE PAGES. I KNOW I'LL JUST LOVE IT AND ENJOY THE STORIES. I AM KEEPING IT BY MY BEDSIDE TO READ A SHORT EXCERPT NOW AND THEN AT BEDTIME.
I SEE LINDA HAS POSTED ABOUT HER SISTER WHILE I AM STILL TYPING MY DAY'S REPORT. I HAD 'SUBMITTED' AFTER THE FIRST COUPLE PARAGRAPHS SO I WOULDN'T LOSE THE WHOLE THING IF I HIT A WRONG KEY. I ALWAYS DO THAT WHEN I AM HERE. SAVES HAVING TO REDO A WHOLE PAGE IF I LOSE THE SITE.
LINDA......I HOPE YOU GET TO SEE YOUR SISTER TODAY AND THEY ARE DOING BETTER ABOUT GIVING HER MEDS ON TIME.
TRISH......THANK YOU AGAIN FOR KEEPING OUR SITE UP TO DATE. YOU DO A DARN GOOD JOB AND I LOVE YOU FOR IT.
THAT'S IT LADIES. I STARTED A NEW JIGSAW PUZZLE YESTERDAY AND WORKED ON IT FOR A COUPLE HOURS. I HAD TO HUNT FOR A COUPLE OF THE BORDER PIECES SINCE I DIDN'T FIND THEM IN MY FIRST CHECK THRU THE PIECES. I ALWAYS START WITH THE BORDER FIRST.
WILL READ TODAY AND MAYBE COOK SOMETHING. I HAVE TO BE GOOD ABOUT MY SNACKING. I WENT OVERBOARD YESTERDAY BUT BLAME THAT ON A NEIGHBOR WHO BROUGHT ME A NICE SLICE OF HOT APPLE PIE. OF COURSE, I HAD TO PUT ICE CREAM ON TOP.
STAY SAFE AND ENJOY YOUR DAY. HUGS, QB S ![]()

GOOD MORNING!
TALKED WITH SIS YESTERDAY. DID GET TO HAVE A SHORT VISIT FRIDAY EVENING AFTER TODD GOT OFF WORK. I HOPED SHE WOULD BE BETTER THAN SHE WAS. THE FACILITY IS NOT GIVING HER HER PAIN MEDS IN A TIMELY MANNER. CONCERNED ABOUT THAT. SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO FEED HERSELF FRIDAY EVENING. NOW SHE SAID THEY ARE CUTTING UP HER FOOD. Hope TO GO TODAY AND TOMORROW SINCE TODD'S DAYS OFF. HAVENT DECIDED IF HE WILL DROP ME OFF OR SEE IF GRANDSON CAN STAY HERE.
TRISH, GLAD YOU ARE IMOROVING. GLAD EYE SWELLING BETTER. DONTU THINK HAD THAT THE LAST FACE PLANT I DID. IT WAS BAD ENOUGH. COLORFUL TOO. TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF.
THINKING OF EVERYONE. PRAYERS.........

Linda, glad you got to visit with your sister. Hope she will let the nurse know she needs more pain meds. It's sad the doctors don't come to the hospital and make calls like they used to.
It's been a lazy weekend for me.
Offline
I agree, Devonne. I've only been in the hospital a very few times but was so glad to see my own doctor at those times, not some stranger. I told him too that I was glad to see him. Dr. Ailes, how's that for a doc's name? The clinic I worked in was owned by Drs. Green, Brown, and Black. I didn't make that up. Unusual to all have color names.
I don't think I was clear about the Art Fair location. It's always held outdoors, thus the rain issue. Also in a grassy area, no pavement, sidewalk or even blacktop. So traversing that with the walker is a bit difficult. And soaking wet grass would be worse. It's a sunny, cooler day today, but ML forgot about something she already had to do so we decided to forego the Art Fair this year. Was no problem for me. I'm in the JOMO league (Joy Of Missing Out) much of the time now.
Frozen pizza on the menu for supper. That's been our go-to lately since we found Screaming Sicillian brand. That and homemade pickles and fresh strawberries. Sounds like a balanced diet to me!

Judy, Dean and I had frozen pizza yesterday for supper. Neither one of us was very hungry and that suited us just fine. Today we made crispy chicken strips and had potato salad with it. It was very good as it was a recipe we watched on America's Test Kitchen. The chicken was a take on the KFC strips I think; they kept saying "the famous chicken".
Dean's doctor at the previous emergency hospital visit was Dr Payne!. Dean had to comment to him of course. He said he had never heard that before. ![]()
It has been very humid and rainy today. I have been reading, coloring on my ipad and watching TV. Nothing got accomplished at all. ![]()
I do see a nephrologist for my kidneys and they think perhaps my creatinine went high due to Nsaids I had been taking due to the broken foot. My last blood test showed it had gone down but it is still too high. My Physician's Assistant wants me to ask my kidney doc about GLP1. She said it really helps with the sugar, which lowers the creatinine in the kidneys. Not sure I want to go that route, but I will ask her. She said perhaps my insurance would not pay due to my A1c being 5.7.
Aaron is going to do the Civil War Reenactment again. He did it several years ago and had a grand time. I had made him a cot quilt with the reproduction fabrics but he sold it when he quit reenacting. If he stays in, I think I will make another one. I have a few of those fabrics left, but I could certainly buy some new ones, don't you think?![]()

Even when I stopped working in the hospital in 2006, very few outside doctors were there full time, it was mostly hospitalists.
As for liver issues, the man I call my third brother had a transplant about 15 years ago. It was due to a rare genetic disorder that affects people with Viking DNA, and wasn’t named until 1969. He’s the only one in his family to have it, and thankfully his son does not have it.
My new tablet is working well for my cross stitch, yay!
It’s raining now, and the forecast calls for some rain every day for the next several days.

There is a doctor in a nearby town named McDoom. Don’t think I ant to go to him. When I was in college there were teachers in the PE department named Pond and Poole, both taught swimming.
I have had a full weekend here. David wanted to attend all 4 performances of Finding Neverland so I went with him. I got to spend part of the day Saturday with Jessica and her family, then spent some time today with Zach and Abigail. I plan to head home in the morning.

My cardiologist, who is now retired, is Dr. Lemorte, which means death.
Dark, dreary and rainy.
My mom’s house is for sale again! We sold it in 2018, it sold again in 2021, and now again.
I have sauerkraut in the crockpot, will add hot dogs an hour before we eat.

Cheryl- FatQuarter Shop (on line) has reports and a sale going on. Also Old Country Store in Intercourse, PA.

I love odd or inappropriate names. So does ML, who collected them when she was an MLT.
I can never remember them but she can and sometimes we have another laugh over them. The dermatologist I worked for in TX was Prapand Apisarnthanarax, from Thailand. We called him Dr. Apisarn--a lovely employer and good to work for. He hated to chart (before digital stuff) and had me follow him from pt. to pt. charting so I got see a lot of skin problems. Of course, if it was a male with a personal issue, I stayed away. ![]()
QB, I laughed out loud at your misspellings today.
We should follow our wishes when dieting. Have a treat or a desired food from time to time to ward off "hopelessness"! ![]()
Cheryl, you should make another repro cot quilt. Aaron will appreciate it and it will be an intentional endeavor while you and Dean wait.
I like Am. Test Kitchen, the show and the recipes. Love to watch them prepare ones that are doable. I don't have the gift for seasoning to make things taste the best they can.
This was my morning: 1. Howard left for W-M. 2. I called ML and asked if she'd like to stop by after counting. I had some new things to show her. She said 'yes' and that she even had her lunch with her. Good,
as I have nothing much here to eat. 3. I called friend, Cheryl for a long over-due catch-up, between H. leaving and ML coming. 4. Howard came back home. He gotten 1/2 way to town and forgotten a pkg, to return via UPS. 5. Still talking with Cheryl, ML called to ask it I wanted sweet corn from a farmer's stand. "Yes". Back to Cheryl. Finished call. Got defrosted meat to start in crockpot. Immediately, a phone call from my Fla. friend, Carole coming for a visit, here locally. While talking w/her, ML arrived, Screen door locked--went to let her in--as I got to the door, Howard called on my cell phone--handed ML the house phone to carry on with Carole--answered Howard's question--then, looked up answer to Carole's request for a phone number--forgot all about the meat sitting on the counter. Visted with ML while she ate--Howard came home, she washed up some dishes while we chatted. ML left--changed plan to cooking the meat on the stove top--too late for the crockpot. Sat down to try the corn and ML called on her way home--finally got to eat the corn--browned the meat and started it to simmer--came here to you all. Some of the reasons I never get anything done!!
Going to go watch Jeopardy. Howard is napping.

I love all the doctor names....so funny! ![]()
Holly, is that where you spent your childhood? Greg saw on Google Earth my childhood home wasn't there anymore. What a way to find out.
If the house had been there, the terrible flood of 2022 would have taken it. My childhood home was right on the Kentucky River...only a road separated it.
Marylou, be careful going home!
I will pick up my Wegovy prescription tomorrow. My drs. office finally called Walmart. My Amlodipine (bp med) will be ready tomorrow, so I will wait to get both. They will deliver, but I need to go walk!
I finally finished my master closet. I'm going room by room (remember that show?) This will be the last donations for me. Today I found 3 hats I never wear (beach type southern hats), a quilt and a necklace holder to donate. I am cleaning out the supplies under the vanity. I need to go thru the meds/creams in an over the door holder & I'll be finished. Most of this stuff will be thrown away. Just trying to stay busy instead of watching so much tv!

Devonne, yes. My parents built the house in 1950, and my mom died there in 2018.
I’m watching Sullivan’s Crossing on Netflix. It gives Virgin River vibes, both series were written by Robyn Carr.

INDY that sounds like a really busy day!! You must have been tired at the end of it all, Andrew
- got a laugh out of the food requirements, Dean is the same, no concept of how much the list is, just 'please can you get ??? for me to make a recipe I found ' the things that boy finds.
SANDRA Ballet in the box
and maybe leave the goulash in a container
they are funny!! Glad you enjoyed the rain.
MARYLOU I did know about Neverland, forget where I heard it, maybe it's been on here somewhere recently.
I hope you enjoyed it, good to be able to spend time with the family.
DEVONNE good luck with the meds! Is it injections in the tummy - Gary said it's easy, he said the first few times were harder, but it's a simple method.
JANET I realised after I read it that you meant reproduction, the spell check changed it LOL Couldn't tell you how many times I see something I have written that is strange LOL
HOLLY good news on getting the pattern keeper fixed, technology is our friend till it isn't
I dread every time th phones update, never know when they are going to change something,
CHERYL yep, those darn pills will wreck up the kidneys, I can't take meds for lots of stuff because of kidney, just recently I found out that too many bananas can also be a problem - protein markers were just a bit higher, and I have been eating more bananas lately, so cut down, they are an occasional treat usually, but lately had them every day - always something isn't it!
It's been a slow day here today, I can hear the Mr eating crips in the kitchen he thinks if he eats them in there I won't know
I have been at him to watch his diet, but he just can't, he's put on lots of weight.
I have to try to get Pete's birthday gifts tomorrow, there is a sale on and it finishes soon. He said I could get him some new work pants.

MARY HAS BEEN OF THE WAITING LIST FOR THIS APT FOR 3 YEARS. IT WILL BE OUR LAST OPPORTUNITY FOR A DAILY DOG FIX. I WILL MISS THEM.
THE LIBRARIAN DELIVERS ME A NEW BOOK TODAY SO THAT'S A GOOD THING.
I HAVE JUST ENOUGH LEFTOVERS FOR TODAY BUT WILL BAKE SOME PORK CHOPS FOR SUPPER AND HAVE EVEN MORE FOODS TO CHOOSE FOR SUPPER AFTER BINGO TOMORROW. LOVELY DAY HERE WITH SUNSHINE. I MAY SIT IN THE BACK GARDEN AND WATCH THE TOMATOES GROW.

Linda, glad you got to spend some time with your sister. How long will she be in rehab? I know Medicare tries to get you out of rehab as soon as they can.
Trish, is all the black/purple/bluish bruising gone? How is your eye? I repainted the sailboats again. They look much better. The injections can be in the tummy, the thigh or the upper arm.
While cleaning under the vanity, I found two Covid-19 home tests. Should I keep one for a sovenir, lol? ![]()
A message from My Fitness Pal. Actually, it's 46 lbs. They have my beginning weight wrong. I changed it today.
