FROM THE OTHER POST BY SAN - WELCOME BACK (((HUGS)))
Hi everyone..
Good to be able to read and chat again...
Not sure how to make sure the font is large enough for everyone to read it easily.. but i will figure it out..
I have missed everyone lots.. i was so happy to re-find everyone again.. i was just trying to see about other places to look things up, and clicked on Firefox and ODT. Came up when I opened.. and I got a big smile on my face when I saw it load and let me read it at least..
Thank you Theresa for the Christmas card and for forwarding my info to Trish so I can get back on.. sorry it took so long getting my letter to you theresa.. had to have family take time and locate a envelope, and I was slow in writing it also..
it is very slow typing with this stylus on tablet.. I was much faster with a keyboard..
Still have lots of pains and moving slow, use a walker or scooter when we go out, do OK just walking inside house tho..
dear grandson, Noah, is 5 years old now and takes after grandpa Elmer for size, big bones, height - over 4 feet tall - taller than some 7 year olds, shape,etc.. somedays the way he eats reminds me of teenagers.. He is on the spectrum with possible adhd.. starting special program at local school in a couple weeks.. half days I think.. I am praying 🙏 that he does OK and does not accidentally hurt other kids, he gets aggressive at times.. the school is set up for kids on the spectrum with lots of helpers..
Prayers, waves, smiles, and hugs..
San
Started pecking this out about 4:30am.. it is now about 5:30am..

DEVONNE I can see the hummingbird, I think the site acts up sometimes - no idea if it's this one or post images. we'll never know LOL
Good luck with the meds, just go with the Drs advice, don't stop unless they tell you, I know most get constipation, some have nausea, mostly just a few weeks.
SAN lovely to see you back, I moved the other post to here -- I can enlarge posts, I won't ever change anything, just the size and bold. Your little bag sounds cute, we have been using Post Images for pics, but they are not working for lots of us. I have mixed results. DEVONNE seems to have the most luck WOW Noah is 5 already!!!
I have had the tech for the internet, she changed the modem, but left the router. She advised that it may need changing but apparently not in this service, I messaged them and they will monitor for 7 days then decide what to do - just send me the new router already LOL I can change it myself if needed - I think ![]()
I went to the store and got some Chinese take away, we will reheat it for dinner, I just tried the post images site, I can do anything on it, won't upload at all, and I am not giving credit card details

WELL learn something every day!!!! Above where I am typing now, the usual 'tool' bar, there is a new one called 'upload' you need to be able to have your pics available to 'drag' into the box, so a split screen, then it took a while to upload, and it just added a line of url, numbers etc, but when I submitted the pic came up.
Play with it when you can --- the box in between the one with the link chain and source
I have never noticed it before.
SANDRA hope GINA is feeling better, how was Bingo, or is it still going!
STRINGS hope sis is better every day (((hugs))) you have so much =19.5pxwith D and everything else as well as your own health.
My pic is the block I tried out for Trentham, it will alternate between dark and light starting, it's angled but still just sewn in rows, mindless sewing, and just what I need for camp, getting the papers out in the evening for some relaxing - NOT!! ![]()

LOST IN TRANSLATION......
1. IN A NORWEGIAN COCKTAIL LOUNGE......LADIES ARE REQUESTED NOT TO HAVE CHILDREN IN THE BAR.
2. AT A BUDAPEST ZOO.... PLEASE DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS. IF YOU HAVE ANY SUITABLE FOOD, GIVE IT TO THE GUARD ON DUTY.
THEY KEEP TELLING US WE'LL GET RAIN BUT I HAVE YET TO SEE ANYTHING SIGNIFICANT. A SHORT SPRINKLE YESTERDAY AND LOTS OF DARK CLOUDS, BUT THAT WAS ALL. CROSSING MY FINGERS FOR SOME RAIN TODAY.
SAN......WE TYPE IN LARGE LETTERS DUE TO SOME HAVING VISION ISSUES. IT MAKES IT EASIER FOR THEM TO READ.
GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK.
TRISH.....THANKS FOR ALL YOU DO FOR US.
AS FOR POSTING FROM POST IMAGES....NO THANK YOU. AFTER THE DEBACLE WITH THEM SOME MONTHS AGO, I HAVE NO WISH TO EVEN TRY. THAT'S WHAT CAUSED MY LAST ISSUE. IT TOOK SEVERAL WEEKS TO GET THOSE POP UPS OFF MY PUTER. I'LL STICK TO POSTING ON MY BLOG. ITS SO MUCH SIMPLER.
DEVONNE......YES, I CAN SEE YOUR BIRD JUST FINE. I'M GLAD POSTING PICS WORKS SO WELL FOR YOU.
I WON 6.25 AT BINGO LAST NITE SO IT WAS A GOOD ONE. WE ARE A NICE BUNCH OF GALS. IN 24 APTS THERE ARE 23 OF US. THERE IS ONLY ONE MAN IN OUR BUILDING AND HE DOES NOT CARE FOR BINGO BUT HE COOKS FOR POTLUCKS NOW AND THEN AND JOINS US. HE ALSO GARDENS HERE. HE STILL WALKS WITH A CANE AFTER HE BROKE HIS HIP SO HE MOVES SLOWER, BUT HE'S HEALTHY AGAIN. HE ALSO DRIVES HIS VAN.
TODAY I AM PLANNING TO MAKE A VEGETABLE SOUP, NO MEATS THIS TIME. I WROTE OUT A RECIPE I THINK WILL WORK BASED ON MY TRIED AND TRUE VEGGIE BEEF SOUP RECIPE. SOMETIMES I JUST DON'T WANT MEAT AND I NEED MORE VEGGIES IN MY EATING PLAN.
I STILL HAVE A COUPLE POUNDS I'D LIKE TO LOSE BEFORE I SEE MY HEART DOC ON THE 11TH.
MY GRDAU G CAME OVER FOR A VISIT YESTERDAY. IT WAS LOVELY TO SEE HER. SHE'S OVER HER TICK PROBLEM. THEY FOUND A TICK SPOT ON HER INNER LEG AND TREATED HER STRONGLY SO SHE GOT WELL PRETTY QUICKLY. I FED HER LUNCH AND SHE RAVED ABOUT MY EGG N POTATO SALAD AND WANTED THE RECIPE. I WAS GLAD TO GIVE IT TO HER. SHE TOOK HOME SOME BOOKS FOR HER MOM.
TODAY IS CRAFT MORNING. I MAY HAVE TO WORK ON MY KNITTED WASH CLOTH THIS MORNING. I HAVEN'T BEEN SEWING ON MY MACHINE SINCE ITS IN MY BEDROOM WHERE THERE IS NO A/C AND IT GETS TOO WARM FOR LITTLE OL' ME WHO DISLIKES THE HEAT. I SLEEP IN MY LIVING ROOM WITH GOOD OLD A/C RUNNING. THEREFORE, I HAVE NO WHs READY TODAY TO DO ANY HAND HEMMING.
THAT'S ABOUT IT LADIES. STAY SAFE. HUGS, QB S ![]()

I just did a blog post. I have pix of a company in Chicago that does tours where you ride a big stuffed animal! Judy, if you go see Andrew, LOL. Steph and Dan are going to Chicago in September with another couple, the women are all in for it!
My Pattern Keeper issue was a hardware issue. My 5 year old chrome book decided that it was no longer updating or supporting apps! Ralph got me a new android tablet, put PK on it and retrieved my progress from the Google cloud. Whew, such a relief!

QB, that's what I'm making today--potato salad with lots of eggs (I know you don't care for the whites in p. salad but I make mine like Grandma did). It's for our small group tomorrow... NOT HERE!
so it's all I have to do this time. Glad that your granddaughter loved yours and you could pass on some of her "heritage" with that recipe, and that she's much better after the tick.
Howard, ahem, managed to run his new 0-turn mower into the ditch! He got it pulled out using the truck, with his winch which didn't do just right, so he was back inside checking it out on U-Tube. If he wasn't so rammy, etc, etc. He was trying to steer the thing and pull the garbage can up to the house at the same time, and it got away from him.
Devonne, I too, saw your bird pic. You asked about the start of memory loss and it's evident to me that H. has some problems with that and by his own admission. Plus he was totally absorbed with his computer repair. Tom's peculiar too, in that, he just stood there without saying anything else. I do think there's something with him, too. Twenty-nine yrs. neighboring has proven that. Remember when he mowed the lawn in the nude a few yrs. ago? I no longer have a dog to take out so am not outside regularly but I hope he's not still doing that...![]()
We finally went for groceries yesterday and were blown away with the amount of trees that were down from those tornadic and straight line winds Monday evening. Several side roads were blocked off and several crews of men were cutting them up and cleaning up. ML and Bill didn't get power back until 1 am today. Turns out Bill's sister, Carol got fed up enough to call the electric company again yesterday afternoon and they declared that there were no more outages in that area. They were wrong!! ML said she had a feeling it might be something like that.
One more thing: Holly, yesterday's newspaper had a full-page article about the Campbell Soup company and it's start in the late 1800s in S. Jersey. Very interesting and of course, I thought of you.
As for the Chicago Tours on a stuffed animal, I'll wait until Stephanie checks it out before I sign up! ![]()

Medicare approved Wegovy a week ago, but Walmart pharmacy is waiting on my doctor to send in an authorization. I was hoping to start it on Aug. 1st. I called and left a mesage.
Gary left for hot Texas with Hannah and Ben, and I went to hot Walmart. It's been hot in there the last two summers. Gracie got a new doggie bed...it's a girly pink.
Judy, yes, I do remember the nude mower, lol! ![]()

Afternoon y'all! ![]()
San so glad it worked out for you! Glad I could help! ![]()
We have had rain and thunderstorms. I think it has all passed for a bit. Yesterday morning was muggy, by last evening the humidity had dropped significantly. Today was more comfortable due to the decreased humidity. ![]()
Still waiting to hear from the oil company. Not holding my breath! ![]()
We got a new cable box for the upstairs, master bedroom, TV. The old one would not let us change channels. Can't get it to work. Today, I was on the phone, seemingly forever to be told a technician has to come out to fix the issue. Not shocked. Went in circles with the AI bot, and just started hitting the zero on the phone, it sent me to a human. The really nice lady on the phone, did the same thing the bot did, it didn't work, shocker I know, so I have an appointment for Monday morning.![]()
Luke had no power this morning, his day off. He went to the gym then to Starbucks, got coffee and breakfast. On his way home the power returned. He is making banana bread muffins, for work. Somebody gave him a bunch of bananas with the muffin request. He does like to cook, even though he says he is not a good cook. He must be doing something right if his co-workers are requesting stuff he makes. ![]()
We are starting to pack. I started earlier this week. I have enough socks for the trip. I still need to pull other clothing items. One pair of jeans will not do it! LOL! I did check the weather this week for Denali, it gave me a chance of snow for the next hour is 2%. Yeah, it will be a bit chilly! ![]()

Nothing else exciting from my little corner of the world! ![]()

As usual, it seems that I am on the go a lot and busy at home but don’t have a lot to show for it.
Last week at guild meeting, everyone brought any patriotic quilts they have. For only having 13 people present we sure had a lot of lovely items!
This is the weekend that Clarissa in in Finding Neverland. I will be driving down tomorrow and going to opening night with David. Saturday I will visit with Jessica and her girls. Sunday I will go to watch Neverland again with Zach and Abigail then go out to eat with them.
Did any of you get the Readers Digest condensed books? I did and still have quite a few. According to Jessica, they are popular with younger generations as decorating items so I am taking some to her. Mom had lots of those books too and kept them on the bookcase that Lynn now has so she wants some too. And David wants a few for a craft idea he saw.

Good evening to you all.
San!! Welcome back; we all wondered about you and thought of you often.
Devonne, my Physicians Assistant suggested the Wegovy/Ozempic for me too. Well, sort of...she asked if I thought I could give myself an injection. lol! I am overweight, but do not want to take another medication for anything. I had my Dexa bone scan and still have osteoporosis in my left hip area. Now she says she does not recommend a bone strengthening medication due to my stage 3 kidney disease. I refused to take it last year. My "numbers" from the scan were almost identical to two years ago, so no further deterioration.
Nothing much else to say. I have caught up on reading and will try to get on the site more often then every few days. ![]()

MANGLED MODIFIERS......
1. CHURCHILL LEAVES WIFE LEANING ON PLANE.
2. BILL TO CURB PORNOGRAPHY SUMITTED BY MAYOR BEAME.
3. SOME SOURCES SAID SHORTLY AFTER HIS DEATH MAO TSE TUNG HAD EXPERESSED A WISH THAT HIS BODY BE CREMATED.
WE FINALLY GOT IT, RAIN. NOT MUCH BUT SOME SO I ENJOYED SEEING IT. I'M SURE OUR FORESTS AND LAWNS LOVED IT, TOO. WE MAY GET MORE MONDAY. HOORAY.
THERESA.........LIKE LUKE, I DON'T THINK I AM A GOOD COOK BUT FOLKS SEEM TO WANT ME TO MAKE MORE FOOD. ITS HIS SITUATION AS WELL IT SEEMS. MAYBE ITS BECAUSE WE HAVE SO MANY OTHER FOLKS AROUND US WHO ARE REALLY GOOD AT COOKING. I KNOW I DID.
WHERE ARE YOU GOING ON THIS TRIP? FROM WHAT YOU'VE MENTIONED SO FAR IT SOUND LIKE A GOOD ONE.
MARYLOU......I'VE NEVER HEARD OF FINDING NEVERLAND. SOUNDS LIKE A THEME PARK? MAYBE WITH PETER PAN?
MY VEGETABLE SOUP CAME OUT WELL. I SHARED WITH TWO OTHERS WHO ACT AS MY GUINEA PIGS AND THEY LOVED IT AS WELL. ITS A GOOD WAY FOR ME TO GET MORE VEGGIES IN MY DIET.
SPEAKING OF WHICH, I AM SEESAWING BETWEEN 2 LBS BACK AND FORTH. I REALLY MUST STOP BUYING SO MANY SNACK ITEMS. I ACTUALLY HAD CASHEWS AND POTATO STICKS ON MY LIST FOR TARGET WHEN I ORDER TOMORROW, BUT I HAVE CROSSED THEM OFF. IF THEY AREN'T HERE, I CAN'T EAT THEM. I NEED TO CUT BACK. REALLY AND TRULY.
MY SON GROCERY SHOPS FOR ME TWICE A MONTH BUT FROM TARGET I ORDER THINGS FOR MY HOUSEHOLD LIKE ANOTHER GLASS OLIVE OIL BOTTLE FOR MY VEGGIE OIL THIS TIME, A NEW POTATO RICER AND CUTTING BOARD OR THINGS THAT I CAN PUT IN STORAGE FOR MEALS LATER. OR SNACKS, TOO, SOMETIMES. I JUST CROSSED THE SNACKS OFF MY LIST.
MY SOC. SEC. MADE IT TO MY BANK YESTERDAY AND I WROTE OUT MY RENT CHECK IMMEDIATELY AND WROTE DOWN THE TIME I PUT IT IN THE OUTGOING MAIL BOX. IT WAS AFTER THEIR MAIL DELIVERY SO IT WILL BE PICKED UP TODAY. I WANT TO SEE HOW LONG IT TAKES TO GET TO THEM THIS TIME. LAST TIME IT SEEMED TO HAVE WANDERED OFF BEFORE IT ARRIVED SAFELY AFTER 2 WEEKS.
THAT'S IT LADIES. I AM BLESSED TO HAVE YOU ALL ON THIS SITE TO 'TALK' TO AND READ ABOUT YOUR EXPLOITS. WE KEEP EACH OTHER GOING.
I AM BLESSED TO HAVE MY FAMILY. I CHECK IN WITH THEM EVERY MORNING SO THEY KNOW I AM STILL ALIVE AND KICKING AND THEY WITH ME.
I AM BLESSED TO LIVE IN A STATE WHERE THE WEATHER DOES NOT KNOCK ME OUT WITH HEAT.
HUGS FOR YOU ALL LADIES. QB S ![]()

Yes, Mary Lou, we got R.D. condensed books. They came in the mail and I don't think anyone ever read them. I was a kid so they were a bit above my reading level. In fact, I have a few of them in my bookcase. How fun for you to share them with you're family for whatever purpose. ![]()
Devonne, you mentioned Corning Ware. Most of what I have belonged to Jane's (Howard's ex ) mother. When he and Jane divorced, they split their belongings and he took some of that. Irma, the MIL, must have had a slew of it. I use it all the time. It all has the old cornflower blue logo. I also have a few pieces that have always been mine. My favorites are the Grab Its, the small individual bowls with the little side handle.
Linda, I didn't remember how serious your sister's situation is. I hope she does well and recovers completely. I know how special she is to you.
I'm waiting until Howard comes down from upstairs and caring for the bird to make breakfast. On the day we go with our small group, we don't eat lunch so I make breakfast a bit later to tide us over until late afternoon, when we have our shared meal. I got my potato salad finished last early evening. I have no measurements, just wing it every time. Otherwise, I try to follow written recipes. Makes it simpler without the guessing. I consider myself a so-so cook, nothing special. I can't read a list of ingredient and imagine what my recipe will taste like.. Andrew has that gift and whatever he makes is delicious. He also doesn't spare the butter, olive oil and any other special or expensive ingred. Sometimes ML fusses a bit because he's used all of (?) without any thought as to it's cost. Fusses to me, not to him. He gets to use what he wants.
Here H. is...have to go. Have a good day. ![]()

SAID THEY THOUGH HER B P HAD DROPPED. SAID HAPPENS WHEN ON BACK A LOT. HOPE CAN GO LATER TODAY, WHEN TODD GETS OFF. YESTERDAY, DGS COULD NOT STAY WITH HIS GRANDPA, BECAUSE BARBARA HAD AN ABSCESSED TOOTH AND HAD A ROOT CANAL. HOPE HE CAN COME TODAY. HOPE I DON'T HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL SUNDAY TO GO SEE HER TODD OFF SUNDAY AND MONDAY.

QB we are flying into Vancouver BC, cruising to Alaska, There we will travel by land, via bus and train. I think there's a puddle jumper plane in there somewhere. I am looking forward to it! ![]()
Got a check from the problem oil company. Of course it was in mom's name! GRRRR! Called them, and was told to send the check back, with a do not cash it! So hubby is dropping it by the PO as I type. I'm not sure if this is progress or going backwards! ![]()
That's my excitement for the day! It's enough! ![]()
I need to print some quilt patterns off of the computer. Other than that I will be working on packing. I need to pull jeans and a pair of shorts. Then some tops, I figure one sweatshirt and a bunch of short sleeve shirts and a couple tank tops, I layer with them. ![]()

Whew! What is usually a 4 1/2 drive was a 7 hour trip today. I pulled off for a while because it was raining very hard. Then there was some construction that caused quite a delay, then an accident. It didn’t look very serious but sure slowed down traffic.
Sandra, Finding Neverland is a fairly new musical about how the writer of Peter Pan came up with the idea for it. Clarissa plays Peter Pan. Although it is a big part it isn’t the lead.

Judy, Campbell soup offices were right in Camden, around the corner from Cooper Hospital where we worked. They were a major employer for factory type workers.
I’m getting used to the new tablet for Psttern Keeper.
Grandson Eddie is in a wedding on Sunday. The bachelor activities have included taking the groomsmen from Colorado to walk in the ocean, go skeet shooting, play pool. Today they are going to hang out in Heather’s pool, then camp out in the woods behind her house. I love it all, no great expense and safe. And he starts hospital orientation on Monday! This is the first time he’s been a groomsman.
One of my afghans is going to California. Steph has a co worker and friend who has cancer and not doing well, so she picked from my stock of afghans and we’ll mail it to her.
Dinner was leftovers, always good.
Theresa, Alaska is so fantastic!
