Happy Fourth of July. A day at home for us, but so much to choose from to watch on TV.
Anyway, we had our time out yesterday--our small group gathered at a local pizza place instead of someone's home. I had what was one of the best if not THE best salads I ever had, at the recommendation of one of the "girls". Cranberries, chicken, bacon, blue cheese, red onion rings, lettuce with a raspberry vinagrette. Howard got a small pizza and we shared the leftovers for supper.
It started raining on the way home and last night we had some terrific storms and lost power. We have the new generator so no issue for us. We went to bed and we believe it came back on after a couple of hour. This new gen. e-mails Howard when it starts up and when it shuts down. Hard to believe! 
It's much cooler this morning, and the high humidity is gone and the doors are open. 
But more storms are predicted later today...
Going to go a get myself some breakfast. Howard ate cereal this morning before I got up.

YEARS AGO HEARD SOMEONE READ WHAT HAD HAPPENED TO THE SIGNERS OF THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE. THEY LOST THEIR FORTUNES, FAMILIES AND OTHER TRADGIDIES. GLAD OUR COUNTRY SUCCEEDED ANYWAY.
50 YEARS AGO OUR NEIGHBORHOOD HAD A BIG CELEBRATION. MY BOYS WERE 11 AND ALMOST SURPRISE, SURPRISE I AM BEHIND ON READING.
LOVE WATCHING THE FIREWORKS, TALL SHIPS are AND THE CELEBRATIONS. GOT TIRED OF COMMENTATORS TALKING SO WATCHED PART OF MT. RUSHMORE FIREWORKS ON C SPAN. NO TALKING SO COULD HEAR THE MUSIC. WISH I HAD TRIED THAT EARLIER. HOPE C SPAN WILL COVER THE DC FIREWORKS TONIGHT.

Suzy Homemaker stuff this morning, tidy up kitchen, exercises, get guest room ready for Manda and the kids, sort next weeks pills, blog posts, text with my brother, another order for my pairs glasses toppers.
Manda and the kids will arrive around 6, to our scorching heat. We’ll make chicken nuggets and fries in the air fryer for them.
Now to sit and cross stitch for a while.

Happy 4th of July. Gary invited me over for a low country boil, but I’m staying home. I still don’t feel comfortable going over there because it’s Hannah’s home. It’s G&E’s home now too, so I need to get over that.
I’ll have watermelon later to make the 4th official, lol, 🇺🇸🇺🇸😀
