Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

IT'S TRUE.......
1.  YOU WILL NEVER FIND ANOTHER ME.  NOT SURE IF THAT'S A GOOD THING OR A BAD THING BUT IT'S THE TRUTH.
2.  SOMETIMES IT TAKES ME ALL DAY TO GET NOTHING DONE.

ANOTHER LOVELY SPRING DAY HERE  78 RIGHT NOW.  LOVE IT.

HOLLY AND RALPH......ENJOY YOUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY TOGETHER.  MAYBE YOU CAN GET TO EAT OUT OR GET TAKE-OUT AND ENJOY TOGETHER TIME.
I CHECKED OUT YOUR RECIPE.  I LOVE USING TATER TOTS IN A CASSEROLE.  THEY ADD FLAVOR AND BODY TO A DISH.  THIS ONE SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD ONE.  ITS SIMILAR TO WHAT I CALL MY UNIVERSAL 4-LAYER CASSEROLE.  LAYER ONE IS EITHER THE STARCH; TATERS, NOODLES, PASTA, OR THE MEAT.  LAYER 2 IS THE 2ND OPPOSITE INGREDIENT  (STARCH OR MEAT).  LAYER 3 IS THE LIQUID OR SOFT ITEM, LIKE A CREAM SOUP OR SAUCE OF SOME KIND.  THEN LAYER 4 IS A CHEESE TOPPING. SEASONINGS ARE AS YOU LIKE THEM.  SO EASY AND YOU CAN USUALLY FIND SOMETHING OF THOSE IN YOUR CUPBOARDS.

JUDY......HOW GREAT HOWARD CAN GET HIS HAIRCUT ELSEWHERE AND SAVE YOU THE TROUBLE.  ITS GOOD HE LIKES IT

DEVONNE.....I HOPE THE YOU FIND SOME CARE FOR YOUR KNEE.  THE KNEES CAN MAKE SUCH TROUBLE FOR EVERYONE.

ON THAT NOTE, MY DAUGHTER TEXTED ME SHE HAD A LOT OF PAIN IN ONE KNEE.  IT JUST STARTED LAST NITE.  DOWN ALONG HER SIDE AND INTO THE KNEE.  WON'T LET UP.  SHE IS GOING TO THE EMERGENCY CARE TODAY.   SHE DID NOT HIT IT OR TURN IT SO SHE'S BEFUDDLED WHY.  IT HURTS WHEN YOUR KIDS HURT.  THEY ARE YOUNGER AND SHOULD STAY HEALTHY TIL AFTER I'M LONG GONE.

BINGO TONITE.  I AM ALL SET FOR FOOD TODAY.  I MADE THE POTATO SALAD YESTERDAY SO THAT WILL GO WITH MY BAKED CHICKEN BREAST AND CORN ON COB AT LUNCH TODAY.  FOR SUPPER AFTER BINGO I CAN REHEAT THE LAST OF MY PIZZA.  I AM GOOD FOR THE DAY.
I AM READING ANOTHER COZY MYSTERY AND ENJOYING IT.  THERE WERE SOME FREE BOOKS IN THE COMMON ROOM YESTERDAY.  TWO BY ROBIN COOK, DEATH BENEFIT AND GENESIS. I HAVE NOT READ ANY OF THOSE IN YEARS.  I ALWAYS LIKED THEM BACK THEN BUT THAT WAS WHEN I READ LONGGGG STORIES AND COMPLICATED ONES WITH A LOT OF TENSION AND WORRY IN THEM.  I WILL SEE HOW I CAN HANDLE THEM THESE DAYS AFTER I FINISH MY CURRENT MYSTERY.

I HAVE TO SEND ANOTHER EMAIL TO BITS AND PIECES.  HAVE NOT HEARD FROM THEM ABOUT THE 'FREE' PUZZLE THEY NEVER SENT ME.  WILL TRY AGAIN.  AND MAYBE A LETTER AS WELL.

STAY SAFE.  ENJOY THE LOVELY SPRING WEATHER.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Actually, Sandra, it’s 54 years! Yikes! We went to lunch at our favorite drive up, Weber’s. Smash burgers and fries for the win! I gave him the choice of where to go for lunch.

Eddie’s party is Saturday, Heather said it’ll be like 80 people! I’m making a big crockpot of sausage and peppers, and I’ll do either turkey or chicken sausage so Ed can have it. He has that Alpha Gal from a tick bite. There will be a lot of new BSN’s from his class at the party, plus a lot of relatives.

Sandra, do you think maybe sciatica for your daughter?

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Holly, congratulations on #54!  We never quite made it there. We were less than a month away from #53. I wish we had more drive up places to eat. There are a few old diners in Marietta, but it's too far to go. We still have our Sonic, although a lot of them closed. It does good business. I like their hamburgers and I love whatever mustard they use. We are getting a Whataburger. I don't know if it's open yet.

Do y'all have a Belk store near you? They always have great coupons and clearances online. I placed an order this morning for some jewelry and pants. Also ordered a camping table from Walmart to put my indoor grill on out on the patio (I will bring the grill back inside). I got the camping table because it folds and I don't have to put it together.

I have to stay off my knees today (somewhat). I have what is called subluxation patellar tracking disorder. Your kneecap stays in the groove, but shifts slightly to one side. She said it's caused by falls or weak muscle imbalance. There is kinetic tape you can use to stabilize your knee. I ordered some from Amazon & will be looking at the exercises on YT.

Having a late salad for lunch and watermelon. For dinner, I'll fix chicken tenderloins in my air fryer, broccoli and my last ear of corn.

The spinach & artichoke dip is so delicious! I shouldn't have bought it without looking at the calories. Two tbsps. is 80 calories. I had half a cup, lol.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

INTERPRETATION?
1.  ABOUT TWO YEARS AGO, A WART APPEARED ON MY LEFT HAND, WHICH I WANTED REMOVED.
2.  ACCORDING TO THE REPORT, A VEHICLE APPARENTLY RAN OFF KETCH ROAD AND STRUCK THE MAILBOX AS IT ATTEMPTED TO GET BACK ON THE ROADWAY.

ANOTHER PERFECT SPRING DAY HERE, SUNNY AND IN THE 60S.  NICE.

HOLLY......OOOPS, MY ERROR.  SOMEHOW I SUBTRACTED WRONG,  WHICH IS UNUSUAL BECAUSE I USED TO BE GOOD AT MATH.  I BLAME OLD AGE.
EDDIE HAS 80 GUESTS FOR SATURDAY?  WOW, WHAT A PARTY.
AND MAY I ASK, WHAT IS "HE HAS THAT ALPHA GAL FROM A TICK BITE."  I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT MEANS.

DEVONNE.......I NEVER HEARD OF BELK STORES.
I HOPE THAT OUTDOOR TABLE WORKS FOR A TEMPORARY GRILL SITE FOR YOU.  MAKES IT HANDY THAT YOU CAN BRING YOUR SMALL GRILL IN AND OUT.

THE REPORT ON MY DAU, AFTER TESTS AND XRAYS,  WAS SHE HAD A SEVERE ARTHRITIS ATTACK.  SHE NEVER KNEW SHE HAD ANY ARTHRITIS EXCEPT A SMALL ACHE NOW AND THEN.  SHE IS ON BED REST THE NEXT 3 DAYS AND A STRONG MED FOR THE PAIN.  IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE.
TODAY IS CRAFT DAY.  I HAVE NOTHING READY FOR HANDWORK TODAY.  I GUESS I WILL TRY TO FINISH THE CROCHETED DISH CLOTH I HAVE IN PROGRESS.
TODAY WILL BE AN ITALIAN SUB FOR ME.  I FINISHED MY PIZZA LAST NITE.  I HAVE SOME CHICKEN AND POTATO SALAD LEFT TO FINISH AS WELL.  I LIKE NOT COOKING.  I HAVE TO COOK FOR OUR 'BREAKFAST FOR SUPPER' POTLUCK TOMORROW, A TATER TOT SAUSAGE CASSEROLE.  THAT'S PLENTY ENOUGH COOKING FOR ME.  I AM IN READING MODE AND PREFER TO READ OVER COOKING

FROM HERE TO ETERNITY IS ON AMC TONITE AT 10 PM.  I ALWAYS WATCH THAT MOVIE WHENEVER IT SHOWS UP.
STAY SAFE MY FRIENDS.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Gracie isn't herself. She has been very lethargic. Tuesday night she changed sleeping places on and off all during the night, going from her different beds to the floor. Now she's behind the recliner. She is eating, drinking and going outside so that's all good. She has a vet appt. Tuesday. I hope it's just arthritis that they can treat, but I realize she is up in age.

The camping table for my grill didn't work out. I never paid attention to how short it is. It's also very lightweight. It's going to be a return. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Looks like I'll be putting a table together after all, lol.

Sandra, Belk carries major clothing brands like Kim Rogers, Ruby Road and Alfred Dunner. They are also well known for their makeup section. I bought a bunch of earrings on sale. I won't need anymore earrings or necklaces after my Belk and Amazon purchases.  Belk is only 15 minutes from me, so any returns will be easy.

I also ordered more blouses from Amazon. Their prices are amazing. I have had to return some blouses that didn't look good on me, but most I was able to keep. I have a big order coming today. I'm getting ready for our cruise in September.

My kinetic tape came today and I've already put it on my knee. You can shower with it on. Will be interesting to see if it helps. The shots have already helped "some."

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Sandra, alpha gal is a tick borne disease, from a specific type of tick. The bite basically makes a person allergic to red meat, they can go into anaphylaxis in extreme cases. Ed is mostly vegetarian, but last year decided he wanted to make sausage on the grill, it contained both beef and pork. His whole face swelled up, and he had hives all over. Heather got him to the ER before he developed any respiratory issues.  That's when he was diagnosed. My niece also has had it for about 3 years. Doctors don’t know yet it it will be a life long condition or will fade in time. I believe it’s primarily in the northeast.

Devonne, no Belks in our area. Is it a southern chain of stores?

It’s sunny with a nice breeze. I have all the windows open. Steph and Dan are in the air on the way.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Devonne, the only time I have seen a Belk store was when Bill and I would go to Sarasota from cold southern Illinois for a couple of weeks in the winter. I loved shopping there!  I also loved grocery shopping at Publix, none of those very close to me either.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Holly. I never heard of alpha gal until a few months ago while watching a cattle farmer on YT that had it. Imagine owning a cattle farm and having this.

I guess Belk stores is a southern tradition store and in 16 states. I couldn't think of the makeup they sell so much of, but it's Clinique by Estee Lauder. You can also get counter help for what suits your complexion. I looked up Belk and there are 3 stores within 20 minutes of my house. They are headquartered in Charlotte and opened in 1888. We used to buy DH's clothes there. They have great clearance racks and high quality clothing.

I ordered dog aspirin for Gracie. Will be here tomorrow. It's for pain and inflammation. She hasn't jumped on the sofa in 3 days, but she just did. I need to go block it with pillows so she can't jump up there.

Marylou, do you miss your yearly trips to Florida? I miss DH being with us on cruises. This will most likely be my last cruise. I have a new Publix 2 miles from me. They just opened last summer. They used to be across the street in another shopping center. Everyone was so disappointed that the new store was a Publix. Everyone wanted Kroger. DH loved going there to get the BYGO. If you don't want two, you can get one for the reduced price. He always got the Klondike bars, lol.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Yes, I miss those trips to Florida. We stayed at the same place every year, right on the beach. We always tried to find something new to see or do each year. Some of my favorites were the Ringling Museum, botanical gardens, and Myakka Park. I usually took some hand stitching to do on chilly or rainy days. And, of course, we had favorite restaurants to go to even though we did do some cooking. But to be honest, the last couple of times we went, we got a little bored.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Nothing much to say today.
It was a very pretty day, sunny and 75 degrees!  After so much rain, it was so nice to sit outside.  I picked up Gabriel and he cut the grass for us.  Dean sure misses doing that job!  He loves his grass , and I mean the outside king, not the smoking kind.  haha.  He sits outside after the grass is cut, but wears a medical grade mask to avoid any possible fungus and mold.  His latest white blood cell count is dangerously low, so they halted his chemo infusion for this week and gave him another blood transfusion yesterday.  He asked if it was a "set back" on the treatment and the doc said no, just delaying till the white blood count is up a bit.  He is so susceptible to any sort of infection at the moment.  Hopefully back on track next week.

Janet, a scenic train ride sounds like fun!  We have the Cuyahoga Rail in the Cuyahoga National Park here, but we have never gone.  The grandkids do go and ride when they had a special Christmas ride called the Polar Express (after the movie).

Congrats to you ladies for losing ANY amount of weight as it is so difficult to do.  I snack too much.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

MISPELLINGS.......
1.  VESTAL VIRGINS WERE PURE AND CHASED.
2.  I WORRY ABOUT TESTES ALL WEEK.

ANOTHER GORGEOUS DAY THO THEY PROMISED US RAIN BY AFTERNOON AND THEN FOR 2 MORE DAYS TO FOLLOW. TEMPS IN THE 60S AND 50S DURING THAT TIME.

HOLLY....THANK YOU FOR THE HEADS UP ON ALPHA GAL.  I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF IT BEFORE.

DEVONNE......YOU ARE DOING WELL ON LOSING.  THANKS FOR THAT POST.  I SEE I MUST GET BACK TO SMALLER PORTIONS AGAIN.  I HAVE BEEN OVER-INDULGING I'M AFRAID SO MY WEIGHT IS JUST STAGNANT RIGHT NOW FOR 2 MONTHS.  I WEIGHED MYSELF JUST NOW, DRESSED, BUT NO SHOES, AND I'M AT 230.8 LBS.  I'VE BEEN HOVERING AT 230 FOR WEEKS.  I KNOW THE EVENING SNACKS DON'T HELP SO WILL TRY TO CUT BACK ON THOSE AND ALSO MY MEALS WILL BE SMALLER.  I HAVE TO GO BACK TO MY SMALLER PLATE AGAIN AND A HALF SUB INSTEAD OF A WHOLE ONE LIKE LAST NITE, AND A HALF SANDWICH WITH SOUP INSTEAD OF A WHOLE OR 2 BOWLS OF SOUP.

JANET.....WE HAVE A SCENIC RAILWAY AT NORTH CONWAY N.H. WHICH IS JUST OVER THE MAIN-N.H. LINE WEST OF ME, ABOUT 40 MILES.  I'VE NEVER BEEN BUT HEARD ITS LOVELY AND EVEN HAS A DINNER TRAIN.  YOU WOULD THINK ME, BEING A TRAIN LOVER, I'D HAVE BEEN THERE ALREADY.  NOPE.  HAVEN'T RIDDEN A TRAIN SINCE THE 50S, THO I RODE THE SCENIC TROLLEY LINE HERE IN MAINE WITH MY GRDAU WHEN SHE WAS ABOUT 10 OR 12.

ITS POTLUCK SUPPER TONITE, "BREAKFAST FOR DINNER" IS THE THEME.  I AM MAKING MY TATER TOT SAUSAGE CASSEROLE.
I THINK I WILL BROWN THE SAUSAGE AT NOON SO I CAN HAVE ONE, YES ONLY ONE, EGG WITH A COUPLE OF SAUSAGE LINKS.  I PLAN TO ADD A WHOLE 1-LB JIMMY DEAN SAUSAGE ROLL PLUS A FEW EXTRA SAUSAGE LINKS IN THIS CASSY.  I DON'T LIKE TO STINT ON THE SAUSAGE IN THAT CASSEROLE.  THO IT CALLS FOR 1 LB OF SAUSAGE, I PREFER  USING 1 1/2 LBS.

I WORKED ON MY BABY DRAGON, 'PINK PEARL' YESTERDAY.  ADDED 2 FAIRIES.  IT JUST NEEDED SOMETHING IN THE SCENE.  I HOPE TO WORK ON IT AGAIN TODAY.
I POSTED THE LATEST PHOTO ON MY QUILTCRAFTER BLOG.

WISHING YOU ALL A FINE DAY.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Cheryl, I hope Dean can get on track next week.. Does he have a chemo treatment every week?

It’s an overcast day so I decided to straighten up my closet. I’ve already washed my new blouses and have a bunch to donate. I need to clean the floors, which I keep putting off.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Hi all

Been dealing with internet outage, for 3 days!!!!!
Really over it all, I could do some things with phone data, but the service was patchy and cut in and out, hopefully is now fixed BUT of course the Mr got involved, kept telling him to wait, NOPE he went and did something which shut down the App for the provider, so the case numbers etc I couldn't access, and now he has changed the password, and I can't receive mail for that account, honestly, I could scream!!!! And I did earlier, now I am not responding to him

SANDRA I couldn't access your blog, will be able to later, hope to see some pics! Enjoy pot luck, I love breakfast for dinner for a =19.5pxchange!

CHERYL sorry Dean has had low readings. It's an up and down battle unfortunately, and I hope the next session is better for him, love that he can sit out and enjoy the cut grass!

HOLLY I had never heard of that either, so thanks for the info

STRINGS hope you feel better, and that D is going well ((( hugs))))

DEVONNE poor little one hope the meds help her, and yes she is getting older, Megan has stairs for Oscar, I think she got them on amazon, just 3 small stairs, softish and fabric covered, he uses them all the time now. Only small width too.

It's been a busy week, and having no internet has been hard, no TV for the Mr and he has been a right pain.

We now have a date for the funeral, and for us it's not good, it's the day we are supposed to be travelling to Queensland. Usually we travel a fair way up the coast till we stop overnight, but the funeral is 2pm, so it will be late leaving for us if we stay, we can try to drive only a few hours north and leave the longer part of the trip to the next day, I really don't want to do it all in one day.
Decisions, decisions, I know Chal will understand if I can't be there, but I do want to, and I know the Mr wants to leave our travel as already planned.

Training was brutal today, it was hard for the fit girls let alone me! I didn't do the last bit, it was doing lunges with a partner and then runs the length of the basketball court, I walked it

I did the grocery shopping - and also made my sourdough, so it's in the fridge ready to bake in the morning

Fingers crossed the darn emails get figured out!

(((hugs))) and prayers

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

Trish, even the best husbands can be infuriating at times! No patience!

I have the sausages and peppers all cooked, Ralph was my guinea pig, he says they taste divine. The dessert I’m taking is made and chilling. Just waiting for Steph and Dan to get back from picking up the pretzel tray and we’ll head down.

sadly, the weather is more like fall than summer, very breezy and only in the 60’s. Not that it will stop the kids from the water slide and pool!

West Coasters are the best guests! Due to the time difference, for them getting up early is my usual time to get up!

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

AMERICAN SLURVIAN GLOSSARY.....
1.  CALVARY: A MOBILE ARMY UNIT.  "AT THE LAST MINUTE, THE WAGON TRAIN WAS SAVED BY THE CALVARY."
2.  DENSE.  A TOOTH EXPERT.  "YUCK!  I HAVE A DENSE APPOINTMENT TODAY.

THE RAINS CAME YESTERDAY BUT SO FAR TODAY THE SUN IS PEEKING OUT HERE AND THERE.  STILL, MORE RAIN IS EXPECTED FOR TODAY AND TOMORROW.

TRISH.....SORRY FOR YOU TECHNICAL WOES.  I HATE THAT.  WE ARE SO DEPENDANT ON IT THESE DAYS.

CHERYL.....SENDING GOOD THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS FOR DEAN.  I HOPE HE GETS SOME STRENGTH BACK THIS WEEK.

OUR POTLUCK DINNER LAST NITE HAD SOME GOOD STUFF, BUT WAY TOO MUCH OF IT.  WE NEED TO REARRANGE OUR METHOD OF DOING THIS EACH MONTH.  I BROUGHT 'DOGGY BOWLS' SO FOLKS COULD BRING SOME HOME.  THERE WERE LOTS OF LEFTOVERS OF EVERYTHING.  WE HAD 3 BREAKFAST CASSEROLES, SCRAMBLED EGGS, 2 TYPES BACON, SAUSAGES, WAFFLES, CINNAMON BITES, HASH BROWNS, AND SOME OTHER STUFF I CAN'T REMEMBER.  WAY TOO MUCH.  I BROUGHT HOME A LOT OF MY CASSEROLE.  THERE WERE ONLY 10 OF US EATING SO WITH A BIT OR THIS AND A BIT OF THAT OF ALL THE FOODS, THAT LEFT WAY TOO MUCH AFTERWARDS.  I THINK I WILL BRING UP THE SUBJECT OF CHANGES THE NEXT TIME A GROUP OF US HAPPENS TO BE IN THE COMMON ROOM.
I'M THINKING MAYBE WE SHOULD ONLY FEATURE 2 MAIN DISHES, HAVE SOMEONE DO 2 SIDES, AND ANOTHER DO DESSERT.  WITH ONLY 4 OF US COOKING EACH MONTH.    I WILL SUGGEST IT NEXT TIME A BUNCH OF US ARE IN THE COMMON ROOM.  THE OTHERS CAN HELP WITH GETTING THE AREA PREPPED WITH PLATES, FLATWARE, NAPKINS.  MAYBE WASH SOME DISHES AND SERVE A COUPLE THAT HAVE A HARD TIME GETTING AROUND.

ONE OF OUR RESIDENTS LOST HER HUSBAND BY HEART ATTACK LAST SATURDAY AND I WAS NEVER AWARE.  HE HAD BEEN IN A NURSING HOME FOR SEVERE DEMENTIA FOR QUITE A LONG TIME.  THAT PART I KNEW BECAUSE SHE VISITED HIM EVERY DAY.
I DON'T HEAR ALL THE NEWS AROUND THE TABLES SINCE TOO MANY VOICES ELIMINATE CLEAR WORDS FOR ME SO I  MISS A LOT UNLESS ITS ONE ON ONE.  SHE HAS A SON NEEDING LIFE-GIVING SURGERY TODAY.  I WILL KEEP IN TOUCH WITH HER THRU THIS TOUGH TIME.  SHE IS A GIVER, MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR.  ALWAYS HAS FOOD TO SHARE FROM THE FOOD PANTRY AND COOKS FOR THE POTLUCKS AND SHARES FABRICS, AND SEWING STUFF WITH US IN CRAFTS AND BUYS JIGSAW PUZZLES FOR ALL OF US.  A GOOD PERSON.  I WILL DO WHAT I CAN FOR HER.

I FORGOT TO MENTION THIS EARLIER.  WHEN SPEAKING OF WINN-DIXIE, WE DON'T HAVE THAT IN THE NORTH.  I REMEMBER BOTH THAT AND PUBLIX WHEN I LIVED IN FLORIDA.  THEY ARE SIMILAR TO OUR HANNAFORD STORES IN MAINE AND N.H.  WTH FOOD GALORE, PHARMACY, DELI, BAKERY, OFFICE SUPPLIES, OTC MEDS, COSMETICS, ETC.

I HAD A TON OF DISHES TO DO THIS MORNING.  STILL HAVE A FEW LEFT TO FINISH OFF.  WILL GET TO THEM AFTER I DO MY LAPS.
I GOT A LATE START THIS MORNING.  SLEPT WEIRD HRS. WAS AWAKE AT 3:30 AM TIL 8:30 AM TAKING MY MORNING PILLS AND WATCHING TV.  THEN SLEPT TIL 11:05 A.M. SO I AM OFF KILTER TODAY FOR SURE.  WILL DO WHAT A CAN WHEN I CAN AND EAT MY SMALLER MEALS TODAY.  COULD NOT QUITE DO THAT LAST NITE WITH TRYING SO MANY FOODS.

WISHING THOSE WITH HEALTH NEEDS, MY PRAYERS AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS TODAY AS USUAL.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 24 ~ SAT MAY 30

I had another restless night. Up at 5, again at 7. Finally got up and went to Walmart at 9:30. It does wear me out, but going earlier, I got the first handicap parking spot and it was cooler in the store. I got a compliment from a lady that I looked so pretty. I had on a red blouse I got last summer I had never worn and red earrings. I normally don't do red. What is up with these compliments lately? This is the 4th one in the last month. It sure does make you feel good, but it surprises me.  I will take them, lol.

Gracie and I took a much needed nap from 2:00 to 4:00. I think the aspirins are helping her. I cut them in two and put them in a hotdog. She is walking around a lot more.

Trish, that is a tough decision. My BIL (Shelby's DH) died when we were on a cruise. Getting back from a cruise, you're not ready to travel again, so we never made the trip to Indiana. That decision bothered me for years, but Sis said she understood and it was ok not to come.

I had a notice from the PO I need to call them about a parcel. It was way back in the mailbox and dated May 22. It has to be about a Belk package.

Why do I keep putting off cleaning these floors? I think it's because it's the first time I've cleaned LVP flooring and I'm not sure I'll do it right. I know to use a very damp mop. I bought Bona floor cleaner at Walmart.
