Happy Birthday Patty!
Happy Anniversary Cheryl and Dean!
The snow is almost all gone and it’s 44 now. I had a Walmart grocery order delivered because I was afraid it might be a little slippery out.
I finished the Mary Poppins wallhanging for Baby Boone. It’s so cute.
Manda sent pix, they are having heavy snow in the Seattle area. Garrett and the dog were out playing in it. I think it’s their first snow this winter.

Devonne, no, the tornadoes were not near me. I live in the southern part of the state and they were pretty far north. But our weather has really been a roller coaster lately - temps in upper 70’s last week, 40’s today and will have high in upper 20’s on Monday! That’s the day I leave for retreat so it will be cold for loading and unloading the car. Thankfully, I have an attached garage and the retreat center has wagons for us to use so it won’t take long to get all of my stuff from the car to the work space.

Happy Anniversary Cheryl!
Thank you all for the birthday wishes. We had a blizzard last night so woke up to around 8" of beautiful fluffy snow! It's perfect. I may have told you before but, there was a blizzard when I was born. My dad went in the ditch returning home and spent the night with strangers. When they brought me home the snow was so deep dad had to dig down to get the door open. It doesn't always snow on my birthday but a lot of the time it does.
Have a great day everyone!

I TESTED A FEW COLORS FOR MY SHE-DRAGON SHADINGS AND THINK I HAVE THE CHOICES MADE BUT STILL ON THE FENCE. IT TAKES ME A WHILE TO MAKE DECISIONS LIKE THIS.
I MADE POTATO SALAD YESTERDAY SO I HAVE ENOUGH FOR TODAY. I DEFROSTED A PORK CHOP SO THAT IS ON MY MENU FOR SUPPER TONITE.
THIS AFTERNOON WE GALS ARE HAVING A CHATTY KATHY SESSION IN THE COMMON ROOM. WE MAY DISCUSS THE UPCOMING APRIL POTLUCK. I THINK IT WILL BE 'COMFORT FOODS."
I ALREADY DID MY LAPS AND SORTED MY PILLS AND WORKED THE JIGSAW. THERE ARE ABOUT 20 PIECES LEFT TO COMPLETE THE PUZZLE SO I LEFT THEM FOR ANOTHER PLAYER.

Sunny and windy here, blue skies and 50. I have a spiral ham in the crockpot, and will make scalloped potatoes and broccoli with it.
Boone’s Mary Poppins wallhanging is up on my blog. Today I made a hanging sleeve for my Jersey beauty little wallhanging. We have to decide where to hang her.
Sandra, your chore list is such a good idea! Keeps the routine going.
Nothing else interesting around here.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. I didn't sleep much last night, wide awake at 5 am. Went back to bed at 10:30 and slept until 2:00. I finished my peacock painting. Will post a picture after I get it hung on the wall.
I cut out fabric about 10 years ago which is still in the container.Think I'm going to start on that later today while I still have the pattern. I got the pattern and the fabric at Walmart. Do y'all remember when they gave out free patterns and carried the fabric for the pattern?

I'm going to jump on here for a moment. I've been silent because of the tornado which thankfully, did not hit us, but we've been without power. Got it back sometime near 4:15 this morning (when I woke up). We do have a generator and it plugged along until 1 am when it abruptly quit. I happen to know 'when' because I was just heading back to bed from the bathroom All of a sudden pitch black and silence. I woke Howard and he coated up and went outside and tried and tried to start it and all it did was backfire. This was our second outage. Lasted about 14 hrs. The first one was 4 hours from 9 am until 1 pm and we thought we were okay. All that plus even with the generator, I couldn't get on here because the internet was screwed up.
There were several people killed in Indiana about 30 miles south of us by the same tornado that hit Kankakee, IL where 3 people lost their lives.
It was a bad one.
Happy Anniversary to Cheryl and Dean. 50 years is fantastic! ![]()

Thanks for the anniversary greetings. We stayed home of course, and had strip steaks and salad. Dean is still very weak and he hates it. He is usually so energetic.
Judy, so sorry you were with out power for so long. Those tornados have been horrible all over, and so soon in the season.
Holly, Boone's Mary Poppins WH is adorable and Sandra, that WH of Oscar is so darn cute!
It was cool today, but not too bad, but tomorrow it is supposed to reach near 70! Such crazy weather and then snow again on Tuesday.
Aaron is going to bring Amelia over tomorrow to see her papa. She is missing him so much. Since it is supposed to be so nice, we will stay outside and she can talk with him out there. It has been two weeks since she has seen him and she is the "baby" of the family and is especially close to him.
I made a turkey today and will send most of it home with Aaron and the kids tomorrow, but Dean and I had it today. Yummy. It was rather dry, but everything else was good. It was a freebie from Thanksgiving and I wanted to use it up.
