I edited the date for CHERYL so sorry I messed it up, I checked and I also had SANDRA and THERESA wrong. SANDRA are you the 3rd or 4th, I have you as 3rd, but now I am thinking I'm wrong.
It's been a sad week for us here, and I know we will all miss our beautiful BJ very much - she struggled the last year or so, but always tried to send a message. I know how difficult it was for her ![]()
SANDRA the fragile (see what autocorrect does ) FAGIOLE LOL sounds yum, I did know the pronunciation of it LOL I had Italian neighbours and the names of some things are similar, I also nearly came to fisticuffs with a nephew on Proscuitto LOL
JANET well done to your Grandson - he is doing well, you should be proud! I know how hard it is for the kids these days, it's tough!
HOLLY I'm like INDY I just am annoyed by the change, it just feels wrong - I just wish they kept the time the same, just did everything an hour earlier, same thing. I always get a laugh about the change of time memes most saying leave the oven alone LOL
HOLLY and CHERYL I also got the info on the Neo laptop from Apple, I still like my desk top, but we mostly use the iPad, and our phones, we are an APPLE family. Dean wanted to do aeronautical engineering, but not much work here for that so I think he'll change, he can always get that degree later if he wants.
CHERYL any further news on DEAN, I do hope he's OK, he has had enough happening I am worrying about him, he is having a rough time, as are you!
STRINGS you keep hanging in there, you have so much going on too ((((hugs)))) I hope D is OK, and no more fall!
DEVONNE I feel for you, but you can't interfere, I don't like home schooling, unless special circumstances, too much can be missed, but the most important thing is the social part of school, kids learn with their peers, and they also learn about coping with others. It's going to be hard on G & E, they will be doing the schooling, and things have changed so much since they were in school
CAROL gosh a lot for you too ((((hugs)))) how is Glen doing, he was sick for a while, I hope you can have a relax and not work at all, enjoy some "you" time for a while.
THERESA maybe the paperwork will be found this time, it's an awful lot, you are doing great on the
WIPs I need to finish lots too, maybe I will do as you did, and work with the least to finish LOL
It's been raining most of the day, better than yesterday which was so humid. It's still humid but cooler, so thankful for that.
WE are heading to the pub for diner, I think the Mr is feeling like he should be more present, he even did a load of washing this morning, I didn't really want it done today, but I'll keep quiet!! He will be away later this week, and he was being snitty last few days, I think he feels guilty LOL
My sis had a long call wth me, Bridie has been naughty, but what do you do with an almost 4 yr old who tells her mum as soon as she is picked up "I was really naughty for Nanny today, she had to put me in time out" my sis tells it as "I wanted to tie her to a chair she was so naughty " LOL That little one, she's a handful, she does try to push the envelope!! It doesn't get too far with both sis and I though.

EXCUSES, EXCUSES.......
1. PLEASE EXCUSE GLORIA FROM JIM TODAY. SHE IS ADMINISTRATING.
2. PLEASE EXCUSE ROLAND FROM P.E. FOR A FEW DAYS. YESTERDAY HE FELL OUT OF A TREE AND MISPLACED HIS HIP.
I HAD TO CHANGE MY STOVE AND MICROWAVE CLOCKS AND THEN MY BATHROOM CLOCK WHICH IS ON A BATTERY. OH, AND THERE'S MY WATCH TO CHANGE BUT I RARELY WEAR IT. THE OTHERS ARE ALL AUTOMATIC. CLOCKS EVERYWHERE IN OUR LIVES.
AND A WARM ONE FOR US TODAY, HITTING THE MID- 50S.
CHERYL.....ITS THE OLIVE GARDEN RECIPE FOR PASTA FAZOOL THAT I USED. MY SON HAD A REFILL AT LUNCH AND TOOK HOME SOME FOR LATER ALONG WITH HIS USUAL ITALIAN SUBS. HE WAS ABLE TO GET ALL MY ORDER, INCLUDING MY N. Y. SIRLOINS WHICH WERE ON SALE FOR ONLY 8.99 A LB. LUCKY ME THIS WEEK. I ALSO BOUGHT A MINI WATERMELON.
JUDY......GOOD FOR YOU GETTING FRESH EGGS FROM LOCAL HENS. I WOULD ALSO PAY EXTRA FOR THE PRIVILEGE AND TASTE. YOU ARE LUCKY TO HAVE THEM AVAILABLE.
TRISH......MY BIRTHDATE IS APRIL 3RD. I WILL BE 84 SO I AM GETTING UP THERE. LUCKY FOR ME I FEEL BETTER THESE DAYS THAN I DID A FEW YEARS AGO. ITS ALL IN THE CORRECT MEDS I THINK. I HAVE MORE ENERGY.
I MISS BJ'S MORNING POSTS. SHE WAS ALWAYS SO UPBEAT AND RARELY COMPLAINED. THOSE OF YOU WHO MET HER WILL HAVE THOSE HAPPY MEMORIES.
TODAY IS MY 'DAY OF REST' WHICH I TAKE SERIOUSLY. I MADE SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS FOR SUPPER LAST NITE AND TOOK THE EASY ROUTE, USING RAGU FOR MY SAUCE WITH A FEW SEASONINGS ADDED. I ENJOYED IT AND SO DID NEIGHBOR SHARON WHO WAS RUNNING LATE HAVING VISITED WITH HER HUBBY IN THE NURSING HOME. I HAVE ENOUGH FOR MY MEALS TODAY. I WILL ONLY BE TAKING OUT MY TRASH. I DO THAT EVERY TIME I SORT MY MEATS. I DO NOT LIKE HAVING THOSE SET MEATY WRAPPINGS IN MY KITCHEN TRASH SO WHEN I SORT MEATS I GO TO THE DUMPSTER AFTERWARDS. WILL BE TAKING MY NEIGHBOR MICHELE'S WITH ME, TOO.
THAT'S THE BUSINESS OF MY DAY. A RELAXING ONE AND WITH CHANGING THE CLOCKS, ITS NICE TO DO NOTHING.
HUGS FOR YOU ALL. QB S

All but my microwave and water recirculater will reset themselves. Even our vehicles will advance when we start them.
The same tire that had a leak that they plugged is losing air again. 😡. Back I go tomorrow. Probably will need a new tire now. Which knowing my DH’s OCD we will be getting 4 new ones. He would never put a new tire on a car that has 3 tires with 14,000 miles on them. 😵💫.
It’s already a lousy day and I’ve only been up for a few hours. DH just got out of bed and wasted no time be a jerk. I guess Mr Hyde is back.

LInda, don’t worry about mistakes. We can figure things out. I’m just glad you are posting!
I’m posting from my new IPad Greg got me for Christmas so it may be smaller print. My laptop is charging. I have an Apple MacBook Air and it doesn’t hold a charge very long. I chose the pink color, Holly, and I love it. Greg bought the pink, the blue and the yellow for me to choose from.
I took the pink and he returned the others. How thoughtful was that!
Țrish, I agree with you about the socialization. Greg’s ex tried this and Carter got behind. He had to pay for a tutor for a year. Do kids that are home schooled have to pass a test to make sure they’re learning? I don’t know how Greg learned Carter was behind.
Janet, I’m with Jerry on all new tires if there is significant mileage on the others. when I needed a tire last month, I went to our local new Mavis store. He recommended a Mavis tire and I said ok. Greg said Mom, why didn’t you get a name brand tire like Michelin or Pirelli? I told him I,ve never bought a tire in my life, lol. He said you could have asked me for advice, lol. 😀
Thinking of BJ’s family, esp Tracy. She was so good about keeping us informed.
I ordered some better quality acrylic paint and Amazon just delivered it. I’ll try it later today. You can really spend a lot of money on this hobby!
I need to go find something for lunch so I can take my meds.

As a high school math teacher, any students in my classes who had previously been home schooled were pitifully behind. So when my DIL decided to home school my grandkids, I was very much against it (but didn’t voice that to her). But she did a fabulous job with all 4 of them academically, even the 2 who have some dyslexia. She was a stay at home mom and took their education very seriously. Nate is the only one who went on to a university and he was very successful. The girls both completed cosmetology school with little difficulty. Zach was not interested in further formal schooling but is a sponge that soaks up any information he sees. One of my concerns was about socialization and missing out on extra curricular activities. But they have always attended fairly large churches that had lots of activities for kids. They have also always been very active in community theater. So, home schooling can be very successful when done correctly. Each state has their own guidelines as to what is required, most are pretty lenient with little or no testing.

Devonne, when I worked in the schools, many of the homeschooled kids were very far behind, as MaryLou mentioned. However, we did have a brother and sister who were homeschooled all their school years and they were far ahead! The girl came to our Career Center for Automotive learning and she only spent one year of the two, because the instructor told her there was really nothing further he could do for her and that she should go on to the college for further training. She now works in North or South Carolina as an auto technician for a big car racing company. Her brother was a great welder and then went on to learn underwater welding. So, just instill learning in the kids and they will be fine. In our state, the students must be tested twice a year and meet certain levels. It is pretty lenient.
Dean feels ok, just pretty weak and tired, which is very unusual for him. He must avoid crowds and close contact with other people until he gets further testing next week to see why the white blood count is so low. Thanks for asking.
Nothing else to say, so will close for now.

it’s been so nice out, still 68 now! The cold will come back, since it’s only March.
We had lunch with F and C, then came home and he was cutting dead branches, and I was in the sewing room with the window open and the music going. I did 3 more table clothes for Manda, a total of 6. We’ll mail them to her tomorrow.
Devonne, I feel bad for the kids. Seems like Gary has never been able to say no to Hannah, and the kids will lose out. You’re better staying out of it, or you could end up being a teacher! Does her DH get any say?
Nothing else going on in my corner of the world.

Advicefor the day. When making sun tea iced tea, it works better if you actually put tea bags in the water. Ask me how I know!

On Facebook my "sis" (Billy's ex SIL) posted pictures of her house being demolished where she lived 52 years. We used to go visit them a lot in the good old days. There is a new house being built there for $3.4 million!
The other message was bad news. Billy's niece posted they were in San Francisco and were going on a 14 day cruise to Hawaii. She ended up in the ER and the cruise had to be canceled. She has cancer; no details yet.
Marylou, I don't get involved either. It's really not my call and they haven't asked for my opinion. If the state does testing, I feel better about it.
Holly, the grandchildren are like his own kids. G&E practically raised them. Gary said it doesn't do any good to give Hannah your opinion, lol. As far as Ben, he goes along with whatever she wants. They all get along or they wouldn't be moving in with each other.
Emily got me a journal for Christmas and I've decided to write in it each day what I want to get done for that day. Today was load/unload the dishwasher, fold clothes in the dryer and paint the wing on my peacock. I got the wing 1/2 done. This new paint takes longer to dry.

Need to get busy but wanted to come here first. And I do realize it's afternoon already! ![]()
It's been a couple of sad days. First losing our dear BJ. Then, Sat. night our oldest Bible study attendee passed away at the age of 991/2. We knew that was coming, too. He's the one whose daughters treated all of us and other friends to a meal out at the local steak house for the past two years to celebrate his birthday. He was Swedish and loved pickled herring. I do too (a little), so that was the gift I/we gave him.
Linda, I was going to second what Devonne said--don't worry...we can figure it out. Hope you have a good time when your kids come and you all get some of the paperwork done, you'd like to.
It's going to be 71 degrees here, today. I need to get outside for awhile. Always something in here screaming at me. I need to hop in the shower and get that over with.
Cheryl, sorry Dean is still not quite himself. I hope things will improve when you get some answers. Waiting is always difficult. Prayer for him and you...
So, off I go. Supper is leftover crockpot BBQ ribs that were quitel tasty the first time around.
Have a good day...rooster next door is happily crowing! ![]()

I’m not sure how it got to be 2 pm already! We went to breakfast at First Watch, to the UPS store to mail the 6 tablecloths I made Manda (12 years of fabric used, yay!) and to the library.
Devonne, sorry for you double dose of sad news!
It’s 71 out! I have a bunch of windows open, there is a nice slight breeze. I’m more tired today from the time change than I was yesterday.
Thinking of BJ’s family. Such a sad time for them.

Afternoon y'all! ![]()
DS Here in GA they do testing. Not sure the schedule. I have not worked with the school system for a bit. They also have to provide the district with a teaching plan, and attendance, not sure how they do that. They are supposed to have someone that randomly pops into the home from time to time to make sure the schooling is happening. There's more they have to do. ![]()
Holly, thanks for the information on our beloved BJ. ![]()
I have either been busy or we had storms. We have had a bunch of rain the last few days. ![]()
Saturday, the neighbors were having their roof replaced. Simba hates nail g-ns! I had to do all kinds of background noise here to cancel the noise out so I could run my errands. He was so happy when I got home. I did load him in the car and take him to the park. He loves the park. They were setting up for the evening, battle of the bands. Someone decided to test their drums and he does not like the drums, or so I found out. I brought him home. Poor baby could not catch a break. ![]()
Sunday we went to my MIL's. Her birthday is tomorrow. Sara and Alex came with us. I claimed some clay pots from her "barn". I went in there to look at the drawer thing to possibly store my needles in. Not sure it will work. It's an old card catalogue cabinet. ![]()
Friday Simba had a vet appointment. Annual check-up. He needs to lose weight. Otherwise he is healthy. They now have a shot for one year of flea and tick protection! We said yes. Figured the cost, time and frustration of ordering the meds, offset the cost. Actually when we sat down to figure it out that evening, the shot was cheaper than the meds alone, leaving out shipping etc. That was a win! ![]()
Need to go make phone calls. ![]()
That has you caught up on my little corner of the world! ![]()
Later my Friends! ![]()

It was a lovely day today, 65 degrees, sunny and bright. Dean and I went to the park and managed to get a mile walk in. We went to Wingfoot Lake State Park because they have benches placed all around the walking area and we both needed to be able to rest today. He is feeling pretty good, just awful tired and weak, which is so unlike him. I had to stop and rest my foot more than he had to stop, but that was ok. I liked being out.
We had salad and a frozen pizza for supper; took the short cut way! I had never had Digiorno frozen pizza, believe it or not! It was on sale for $4.99 so I picked up a thin crust pepperoni and both Dean and I liked it. I will definitely buy one again to have on those days when I don't know what to make for lunch or supper.
Theresa, Aaron got that flea shot for Bosco too. Boss is too thin, and needs to gain a little weight. That dog is not food motivated at all. He should weigh about 120 pounds and he is only at 108.

SANDRA local man with horns ![]()
some of those are really funny!!
Good idea on the fan, you just know it will give out when you most need it!
HOLLY lots of clearing out of fabric, with a good use, well done!
JANET I only would have replaced 2 tyres, unless it's the exact same brand. I mostly seem to have to replace all 4 when it's time, I must drive "even" LOL If just one needs to be done I do both back or front which ever it is.
INDY I agree with you and DEVONNE I think we all make some mistakes as we write here, but it's OK, we're all big girls now LOL
STRINGS we can figure it out, don't stress, I make so many mistakes when I type, but I can mostly see well enough to fix them, 'don't sweat the small stuff" as the saying is!
CHERYL good to get out, and I'm glad he is feeling OK enough to do that, it would be good for both of you (((hugs)))
THERESA poor Simba, he just couldn't catch a break today, the bigger they are the more scared they are LOL
I went to training this morning, then picked up Dean, made a beef and veg pie for dinner, and just chilled with my jigsaw for a while, it's not an easy one, but I got a good bit done today. Kept staring at those little pieces till I got some together, then all of a sudden there is 3 rows across 1/3 of the bottom done. I've been staring at those pieces for days LOL
It's been funny weather, still pretty warm and humid, but drizzly too. The Mr is trying to get packed for his night away, I'm staying out of it. I offered a solution to his route - the main highway is cut near where he needs other be - but he has decided to take one of the guys advice instead, so be it, I'm out of it! I doubt he will take enough warm things to play the 2nd day, going to be quite cool there, but he'll have to figure it out himself, I will offer to cut his hair tomorrow. I can be nice sometimes LOL

INDY I meant to offer my sympathy, so sorry for your loss, you will miss your friend, not unexpected, but a loss for you (((hugs)))

Just a quick stop. My quilt “Bee” is having their Holiday Party today….combined with a Sew in. It got snowed out twice in Dec so they decided to reschedule for today. lol.
I have to decide what to do with my newly acquired craft/sewing studio. We don’t need it as a bedroom so since it’s near my quilt studio, I’m taking it over. lol. DH thinks we should make the other into a bedroom? For who? 🤷♀️
