Re: ODT SUNDAY FEBRUARY 1 ~ SAT FEB 7

Holly, I love lists also!  Sometimes I make them just so I can cross something off!    I used to make them at work all the time.  As a secretary, some days I would have been lost without my lists.

I am not able to move around a lot, but I did sort through some of my quilting magazines and books.  I have so many of them.  I have tons of free motions quilting patterns that I no longer do as I just never got the hang of it.  I do all straight line and in the ditch.  I am going to have Dean drop the books off at the local senior center.

It is really cold again today.  Supposed to reach in the double negatives overnight with wind chill.  Everybody is tired of t his prolonged cold spell.  We are used to winter, but usually we have some warmer days in between.

Judy, our friend uses the VA benefits and he says they are wonderful here in Ohio, so I assume they would be everywhere?  They pay for all kinds of things.  My brother in law also used them in Texas. They got him a new computer ( he has macular degeneration, so vision loss)  They help with his rent due to his low income.  They take him to dr appts. ETC..  Howard should check it out as he did his service and is entitled.

Re: ODT SUNDAY FEBRUARY 1 ~ SAT FEB 7

SANDRA I do love your funnies every day, some really are "spit my coffee out" ones LOL they always give a smile, THANK YOU
Enjoy your soup, it's almost soup weather here today, after a few blistering days it's actually cooler now than it was all night.

CHERYL getting some things done while you have the boot on is really good, I found it hard, it's heavy and gets in the way, I often sit with my foot under me, couldn't do that with the boot.

INDY I agree that H should look not benefits if he can, it's a start and although he doesn't want them now maybe things will change and he will later, he'll already be in the loop. My brother has been offered a "wish day" they give to people - he says he doesn't feel like he should take it, his wife wants him to, he wanted to meet Dick Smith ( entrepreneur here ) but not sure why he decided not to, the other was to take his wife and daughters to the revolving restaurant in the city, I see his wife suggestion all over that, I have no idea if he will do it though.

HOLLY I had heard about that case, certainly sounds like someone should know something, awful.

JANET getting the drive done is great, just do the bookings yourself, he has to accept that you need to get out, what if something happened at home, you would be stuck?

STRINGS I never worry about mistakes in posts, just that one I knew you meant different, I would never change a post otherwise, stuff happens, don't worry about it (((hugs)))

DEVONNE I only =19.5pxlike banks I can go to, I know that Megan has one that is online only, I just worry about what if I can't get them on the phone LOL I'm old fashioned that way, and then what if it not easy to get new cards, if I have to cancel cards I can always go the bank and get lots of =19.5pxcash out to tide me over.

THERESA getting ever so close to the end, now, then you can miss your mum in peace, ((((hugs))))

I had training yesterday, it wasn't good - too hot, and it was a tough one, after that though it was treat me time, we meet for coffee catch upon a month if possible, so I had a delicious roasted veg and halloumi wrap, so nice, one of our members ( well she was a regular) also came, she is unfortunately suffering with anexoria, Sara won't let her come back to training, but is happy for her to come to coffee sessions to keep in touch with us, I have asked her to meet up for a chat and coffee, no judgement, I saw it a while back, I thought she had lost too much weight, just instinct, I asked Sara to check on her, and she did, it was OK for a bit, then it became worse, she is under a Drs care, but yesterday she looked worse, she is gentle and so loving with the little ones, she thanked me for checking on her and noticing, not sure that I made any difference by doing it though, I am the only one apart from the coaches who knows, everyone thinks she is just on a break for a while, that is an insidious disease, she sees herself as a big person, she had a hot chocolate yesterday, but I did notice she didn't drink much, she stayed with me at the table so I made sure she was included in the conversation. So very sad, my heat aches for her, she's got a long road ahead, and no idea how it will end yet

It's raining here - I finished my jigsaw puzzle that is just colours, no picture, and I also did my Drunkards path prep, now have sewn a few and will do the last of them today, only small ones-  the square I am appliquéing the shape to is only 3 1/2", so only bit of stitching.

(((hugs))) and prayers

Holly, I believe you are correct about the weather mixup!😁

I'm a list maker too.  Sometimes if I do something that wasn't on my list I put it on there just so I can cross it off!

This is the last night of retreat.  I've had a good time.  My friend and I did counted cross stitch all weekend.  Usually we get a big snow but this time we had sun and melting snow.
