Good Morning to everyone!! Hope all are doing well!! Tracy is here and it sounds like she is making breakfast for us. I'm pretty hungry so that will be good. Well, we have no plans for the day, so it will be a big surprise, whatever we do.
I'm going to sign off, wishing you all a wonderful day, BJ.

IRISH BULL......
1. MAY YOU NEVER LIVE TO SEE YOUR WIFE A WIDOW.
2. GENTLEMEN, IT APPEARS TO BE UNANIMOUS THAT WE CANNOT AGREE.
OUR FORECAST CHANGED FROM SNOW TO RAIN FOR THURSDAY WHICH IS GREAT. I HAVE A CARDIO APPT (JUST A CHECKUP) ON THAT DAY AND IF IT SNOWS MY DAU CAN'T COME TO BRING ME FROM OUT OF TOWN. I HOPE THEY ARE RIGHT THIS TIME.
IF ANY OF YOU ENJOYED DOC MARTIN, A BRITISH SERIES ABOUT A SURGEON GOING TO LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN BECAUSE OF HIS SUDDEN FEAR OF BLOOD, THEN YOU WILL PROBABLY ENJOY THE NEW FOX ENTRY, 'BEST MEDICINE' WHICH IS COPY OF THAT SHOW IN THE TOWN OF PORT WENN ON THE MAINE COAST. SOME OF THE CAST SO FAR ARE THE SAME AS THE BRITISH BUT WITH A BIT DIFFERENT TAKE. YOU SHOULD CHECK IT OUT.
I DID MY LAPS AND CHECKED IN WITH THE LADIES AT COFFEE MORNING. I DO NOT HAVE COFFEE OR EAT AT THAT TIME, SO I SOMETIMES CHECK IN TO CHAT BUT NOT ALWAYS.
I AM TRYING TO THINK WHAT TO DEFROST FOR A MEAL ON THURSDAY. I MAY MAKE ANOTHER CASSEROLE SO MY DAUGHTER CAN TAKE SOME HOME. SHE LIKES MY COUNTRY BEEF NOODLE CASSY IF I REMEMBR CORRECTLY.
CHORES ARE FEW TODAY. THE SUN IS OUT AND ITS BRIGHT. I MAY GET SOME SEWING DONE TODAY. I ALREADY PLAYED SOME SOLITAIRE TO KEEP MY BRAIN ACTIVE. I WILL ALSO DO SOME READING TODAY. AND MAYBE JIGSAWING. I ALWAYS PLAY IT BY EAR AND DO WHAT I FEEL LIKE DOING AT THE TIME.
LINDA......I HOPE YOU HAVE A GOOD DAY TODAY. SOMETIMES THEY ARE NOT AS GOOD AS WE LIKE BUT THAT EVENS OUT A DAY OR TWO LATER.
DEVONNE.....HOW GREAT ALL THAT HARD WORK IS BEHIND YOU. I HOPE YOU CAN FIND RUGS YOU LIKE. HOW ABOUT BRAIDED RUGS? I HAVE THOSE IN MY KITCHEN. AND A COTTON RUG IN MY BATHROOM THAT WORKS WELL.
I DIDN'T SLEEP WELL LAST NITE. HAD SOME WEIRD DREAM THAT REALLY BOTHERED ME. THEN I WOKE UP AND KEPT RETHINKING IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. THANKFULLY I FELL BACK TO SLEEP AND DID BETTER AS FAR AS DREAMING WENT. I DREAM EVERY NITE. SOME I REMEMBER VIVIDLY WHEN I AWAKE AND SOME DISAPPEAR A FEW SECONDS AFTER I OPEN MY EYES.
STAY SAFE. HUGS TO YOU ALL. QB S ![]()

we went to Sam’s Club, first time since October. We got new towels, ours were pretty raggedy looking. A lot of yogurt, cereal, and a cartload of other staples. I put my phone in my pocket so it would pick up my steps- 2800 steps! My knees are not happy.
Sandra, I have that show saved on the DVR, haven’t watched it yet.
It’s bright and sunny and going to be 50 today!

Afternoon y'all! ![]()
Trish I wrote that movie down. We are watching, Only Murders in the Building. We love it! I would watch them all again to see if I can figure out how I missed the murderer the first time! ![]()
QB That show has been on my radar to watch! We can watch it on HULU to catch up. ![]()
Making headway on the probate. One of the mineral rights companies is accepting the probate from Georgia!!!!!! I have sent this wonderful woman everything she asked for and now it's up to the heirs, including me, to fill out paperwork and send it to her. ![]()
One big step forward. Now just waiting on snail mail from the other company, and that will be going in the right direction. Then after that it's things in other peoples hands, like taxes.... Stuff I cannot control. Tax paperwork has started to come in. I need to pull billing stuff for the taxes too! ![]()
I did call the cemetery and told the poor woman on the phone that it's been too long, this should have been done and on her niche. That I am frustrated! I got an email with what I requested, sent a picture to my niece and NSDB and got thumbs up! Signed, scanned and emailed the paperwork back to her and actually got a reply email that she got it! ![]()
Now that that part is off my plate. I can concentrate on more pressing things. ![]()
That feels good to get done! ![]()
I also called the roofer, got a call back and they will come look and tell me what I need to do, new roof or just replace the boots? We will see. They have been good to me in the past! I really like this company, or I would not have kept their number. ![]()
So, I guess today has been a really good day! I have even filed some of the paperwork so I don't lose it! Scary I know! ![]()
My poor printer has been in overdrive today. I need to add paper, it has one sheet left. With the new laptop, the printer works better as does the scanner. I love it! ![]()
That's all from my little corner of the world! ![]()

6 oz pkg chocolate chips

This is from the Gooseberry patch Crockery cooking book.
I could not find the recipe thread!
Enjoy!
I told you it was very easy! I get raves about it when I take it to pot lucks. ![]()

Ooh, Theresa, that sounds good and easy. The only thing I might leave out are the chocolate chips... Sometimes, some things are a bit too chocolatey for me. Will that wreck it?
Devonne, you're not going to believe this! I got the Christmas card you mailed on Dec. 18th, YESTERDAY, the 12th of January! You do live in Georgia, USA don't you? Not the Georgia that's in or near Russia! The whole postal system is a mystery... ![]()
I've feel like I've just returned last night from a long safari, With preparing for the group and while I had Sat. and Sun. free, my mind wasn't since I had a crown prep done, yesterday, which weighed heavily on my mind. I've always been and still am a 'dentaphobe' if that's word. It went well enough but I was in that office from 1 pm until 3:40 pm. Now for the 3 wk. wait for the permanent crown. Poor Howard...waiting in the car most of that time, except for the two small errands he ran.
I had two blessings. One, was a reduction of $500 off the hefty charge since there was one part he didn't need to do. And, the other "repair" I need will be another crown not the implant I was afraid I needed. Costly enough, but not what an implant would be.![]()
Afterwards, we did our weekly tramp through W-M. We always need something and usually an Rx, too, so might as well go there.
QB, I don't dream nightly like you do, but I've had a couple of lulus the past two nights. One "featured" an old, and I do mean "old" flame and the other was a well-known tv preacher (deceased now) who was my doctor in the dream.
Devonne, there's always something one has to give up to get something they want more. Like you and the soft carpet. Just the way it works. Like when you buy something you want and then you get it home, and have to find a place for it. We got this new humifier and now where do we store the many gallons of distilled water it uses? I found the edge of the bathtub we don't ever use, with the curtain pulled, works.
I have something slapped together in my small crockpot. French onion chicken, so I could use up the extra cooked chicken I had. We'll see...Howard isn't very fond of onion, but then, I don't discuss the ingredients I use in my cooking with him. ![]()
Mary Lou, I know you'll adjust to both sorrows, but it does hurt for awhile and too bad they came at the same time. I hope you can find something to look forward to. My dear old friend always gave that advise and it does help and eventually work. ![]()
Off to check the food... Have a good evening and sweet dreams.

Good evening friends!
Judy, I am not a fan of onions either! Especially raw ones. I cook with onions because most dishes need the flavoring, but I pick them aside when I eat. Raw ones...yuck. I am the same when it comes to the dentist. I have terrible anxiety because I have always had poor dental health. The dentist told my mom when I was young that I was "brushing the enamel right off my teeth". We had never heard of soft teeth at that time and we did not do yearly check ups; just went to the dentist when there was a problem. I grew up really poor, so no money for that sort of thing. Now I am vigilant about 2 times a year checks. I would say every 6 months, but lately it has been 9 and 10 months to get a cleaning! Even with scheduling for the future as soon as my current appointment is done.
Sandra, I have recorded one show of Best Medicine and need to watch the very first one. I really like Annie Potts and was going to watch it just for her. I loved her on Young Sheldon as Meemaw.
Theresa, my mom made that sort of cake and it was called Pudding Cake. We loved it.
It was 35 degrees today but is supposed to be 17 degrees tomorrow.
I am not looking forward to that and it is supposed to snow the next eight days. Aaron is flying back home from Tulsa tomorrow night, so I hope he does not run into any bad traveling weather. His drive home from the Cleveland Airport will be difficult enough. That traffic is a mess.
I made a brown sugar garlic chicken for dinner, but it was too sweet for us. I did not use as much soy sauce as the recipe called for, so perhaps that was the problem. I use low sodium soy, but it is still a lot of salt.

Indy I don't know if leaving the chips out will hurt it. I am the opposite the more chocolate the better. I have done dark, semi-sweet and milk chocolate in this recipe. All were good! ![]()
This afternoon I made a lemon pound cake, using one of the lemons from my tree. I got 13 lemons this year. Already made lemon bars! ![]()

=19.5pxGood Morning to everyone!! It is totally dark outside, hard to believe, it is 7:10, but feels like it should be 4 O"Clock!!
Hard to believe it should be fully day light, but NO! It is so dark outside. Can't really understand why. Assume it will lighten up eventually. Well, I really don't have a thing to say this morning, so will sign off, hoping you all have a really nice day, BJ.

TWO-HEADED HEADLINES......
1. STUD TIRES OUT.
2. PROSTITUTES APPEAL TO POPE.
ITS BRIGHT AND SUNNY OUT. IN THE 40S TODAY. WE EXPECT SOME WET WEATHER TOMORROW. I HOPE ITS ONLY RAIN SO I DO NOT HAVE TO CANCEL MY CARDIO CHECKUP.
CHERYL......ANNIE POTTS IS DOC MARTIN BEST'S AUNT, IN BEST MEDICINE, BUT INSTEAD OF A FARMER SHE'S A LOBSTER FISHERPERSON. SHE'S VERY GOOD IN THE PART AND LOOKS GOOD. ONLY THE 2ND SHOW LAST NITE.
ELAINE, HIS FIRST RECEPTIONIST, IS A MODERN, DIFFERENT BRAND OF WOMAN AND A BIT STRANGE, BUT I LIKE HER. LOUISA IS A TEACHER AS WAS THE BRITISH ONE. I THINK I WILL LIKE THIS SERIES. ITS FUN.
THERESA.....ON THE CROCKPOT CAKE, YOU DO NOT MENTION HOW LONG YOU COOKED IT. 6 TO 8 HRS IS A LONG TIME SPAN. WAS IT 6 OR 8 HRS OR DO YOU TEST SOMEHOW FOR DONENESS? AND DID YOU USE SEMI-SWEET OR MILK CHOC BITS?
I GOT SOME BAD NEWS LAST NITE. MY ELDEST NEPHEW, SON OF MY HALF SISTER, PASSED AWAY SUNDAY AFTER MANY MEDICAL ISSUES. ITS PROBABLY A BLESSING. HE WAS 72. THEY LIVED IN ANOTHER STATE SO I WILL NOT BE GOING TO THE SERVICES. THE NEWS SURE BROUGHT ON ALL THE CUTE MEMORIES I HAD OF HIM GROWING UP. I KEEP SHEDDING TEARS WHEN I THINK OF HIM. GOT TO PULL UP MY BIG GIRL UNDIES AND CARRY ON.
DID MY LAPS THIS MORNING. THE PLAN IS MY COUNTRY BEEF NOODLE CASSEROLE FOR TONITE SO I CAN SEND MOST HOME WITH MY DAU. TOMORROW AFTER MY DR APPT. SHE LOVES NOT HAVING TO COOK A MEAL. I WILL ALSO THROW TOGETHER SOME TUNA SALAD FOR THEM. I KNOW ITS ALL APPRECIATED.
CROSS YOUR FINGERS FOR ME THAT IT DOES NOT SNOW PLEASE.
I HAVE MY ADVANCE DIRECTIVE READY FOR MY CARDIOLOGIST, ALL WITNESSED NY TWO AS REQUIRED IN THIS STATE BUT NO NOTARY IS NECESSARY IN MAINE. I ALSO HAVE A COPY FOR MY PRIMARY CARE DR WHO I SEE IN FEB. I DO NOT WANT TO LINGER AS A VEGETABLE. TALKED TO SON AND DAUGHTER BOTH SO THEY KNOW WHAT I WANT.
GOING TO GET SOME READING DONE TODAY. THEN THERE'S BINGO TONITE. CROSSING MY FINGERS THAT I WIN AT LEAST 50 CENTS SO ITS A WIN.
STAY SAFE AND WARM LADIES. HUGS, QB S

Sandra, my condolences on the passing of your nephew. Having lost two nephews, I understand. I cried for each of them every day for months. It’s good to make your wishes known, my dad and I had discussed that many times, so I had no trouble making the last decision for him.
I did a blog post showing Forgotten Flower with her binding on, and a pic of Baby Boone at 11 months, and the head of her snake.
Dinner tonight is going to be a mish mosh of leftovers that I want to use up. It’s 51 and cloudy now, some kind of wet is predicted.

Sandra, Dean and I watched two episodes of Best Medicine and we really liked it. We will be watching it for sure. It reminded me of a Hallmark type show.
Condolences on the death of your nephew.
Supper tonight is Western Beef Pie. It is a favorite of ours from a Pillsbury Bakeoff Cookbook from the 1980's. It makes a large pie, so I usually cut portions and freeze it for future use. It freezes well. It has a corn brad type base and a hamburger, "fiesta" corn, and cheese filling.
It is 40 degrees but the temp is dropping quickly now. supposed to get up to 6 inches of snow overnight. This period between the rain and snow makes driving very dangerous. I hope Aaron gets home before the snow starts too bad.
Holly, your Forgotten flower is very pretty as is baby Boone.

Theresa, sounds good but too much for just me. I have a recipe for a keto chocolate lava cake in a mug cooked in the microwave. I'm going to try that.
I had to rest for three days, but I finished the master bath and master bedroom today. There were six people working in my house. I'm not used to that and it took my peace away. I cleaned out my nightstands, took an hour to organize. Then I worked on the socks. Got everything matched up; lots of good socks to donate. Cleaned out the chest and found more stuff to donate. I stripped everything off the bed, but it all won't get washed tonight. I'll sleep in the guest bedroom tonight.
Tomorrow I'm going to make my first creamed spinach. I've never had it, but it looks delicious. This recipe uses cream cheese.

Thanks, Theresa. I'll use the milk chocolate chips that I have on hand. One more question...when you take it somewhere, do you cut it in pieces beforehand or it it the kind of dessert that needs to be spooned out of the crockpot. It would be great either way for my small group and I'm up for bringing the dessert next time.
We have lots of fluffy snow. Howard doesn't really need to plow yet but he worked all day yesterday trying to get the plow electronics working. Bill is coming today to help him with the mechanics of it. (All Greek to me!) ML will come, too, and we'll pitch in and sort something.
I was going to skip the new show you're all discussing out of loyalty to the old Doc Martin.
But now you've gotten me intrigued. It was one of my most favorites and I'm still wondering why someone would even want to redo it. But, I'm going to check it out.
This is one of the joys of being in our sisterhood, here, stretching some of us to consider and try new things. And the fantastic recipes. Many thanks. ![]()
Time to go for now. We're going to go through our OTC catalog together while we're waiting for the kids.

QB each crock pot is different thus 6-8 hours. Mine does it in 6. I have used all 3 types of chips. I use whatever I have on hand. All 3 types have done well in this recipe! ![]()
Indy you spoon it out. I have done a buttercream frosting and put it on top, it melts and creates a fudge like top, it's awesome! ![]()
Someone asked about my butterfly fabric, it is an oriental fabric I bought from Joann's years, over 20, ago! I love the fabric. Already made one snails trail quilt from it, donated it to the breast cancer walk at the Y when I was still a member. They raffled it off! I thought I had enough to make myself one, but it's going to be pushing it to make a lap quilt. I might look through my bins in case I stuffed some of the butterfly fabric in them! ![]()
Y'all make a great sounding board! ![]()
I'm in a holding pattern on the probate. Waiting for stuff to file in! Nothing I can do. I have the file folders ready when they do! ![]()
I walked the mall today. Air temp was 23* wind chill was 19*, plus wind gusts. It is very gusty today. Too cold for this southern gal! Still cold, and windy. ![]()
![]()
Simba kept me up most of the night with the wind sounds. Remember he is afraid of his own shadow! ![]()
I think today I am going to play with fabric. ![]()
I have also decided that I do not have the right purple fabric, in my stash, to border my OBW. I found a batik from Timeless treasures that I think will be perfect. It is called Tonga Batik Mayfair Arrowheads Jam, I didn't name it! Need to search my LQS and online to see where I can get it cheapest. ![]()
That's everything from my little corner of the world! ![]()

LOST IN THE TRANSLATION.......
1. THERE WILL BE A MOSCOW EXHIBITION OF ARTS BY 15,000 SOVIET REPUBLIC PAINTERS AND SCULPTORS. THESE WERE EXECUTED OVER THE PAST TWO YEARS.
2. IN AN EAST AFRICAN NEWSPAPER: A NEW SWIMMING POOL IS RAPIDLY TAKING SHAPE SINCE THE CONTRACTORS HAVE THROWN IN THE BULK OF THEIR WORKERS.
I KNOW, I'M LATE TODAY BUT DIDN'T WANT TO GET ON WITH ME GETTING READY FOR MY DR APT. WE GOT SOME RAIN AND IT WARMED INTO THE 40S SO NO SNOW.
SAW MY CARDIOLOGIST. EKG WAS FINE. HE WAS VERY HAPPY ON MY 25 LBS LOSS. ACTUALLY, HE CHECKED HIS FILE AND HE TOLD ME IT WAS 29 LBS PLUS. I AM GOING FROM MY JULY CHECKUP. HE TOOK AN EARLIER WEIGHT. I WILL SEE HIM AGAIN IN 6 MONTHS.
ON THE BEST MEDICINE, I, TOO, LOVE DOC MARTIN. I HAVE SAVED SEVERAL OF HIS SHOWS TO REWATCH NOW AND AGAIN. THIS NEW AMERICAN VERSION IS CUTE, TOO. AND I ADORE ANNIE POTTS AS HIS AUNT. I THINK I WILL BE A FAN OF THIS ONE, TOO.
MY DAUGHTER TOOK HOME MOST OF THE CASSEROLE AND ALSO THE TUNA SALAD I MADE FOR THEM. SHE LOVES NOT HAVING TO COOK. WHEN SHE LEFT SHE WAS ON HER WAY TO GROCERY SHOP ON THE WAY HOME SO I TUCKED SOME CASH IN HER PURSE. I LATER TEXTED HER TO LET HER KNOW IT WAS THERE. SHE REFUSES TO TAKE MONEY BUT I FIND A WAY TO REPAY HER. I TOLD HER IT WAS AN EARLY PAYMENT TOWARDS HER INHERITANCE SO NOT TO FIGHT ME. I KNOW THEY CAN USE USE IT.
BJ.....ARE YOU OK? YOU USUALLY POST EVERY MORNING. I MISSED SEEING YOUR SWEET POST THIS MORNING. HUGS GIRL.
LINDA.....YOU HAVE A BIRTHDAY COMING UP TOMORROW. YOU ARE A LITTLE YOUNGER THAN ME. I HOPE YOU GET SOME LOVING ATTENTION FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY. HUGS FOR YOU.
THAT'S IT LADIES. I HAVE A BOOK TO FINISH. I ALSO NEED TO TAKE OUT SOMETHING TO COOK TOMORROW. I STILL HAVE A BIT OF CASSY LEFT FOR MYSELF FOR SUPPER. IT WAS VERY GOOD.
HUGS FOR YOU ALL. QB S ![]()

Sandra, glad your cardiologist appointment went well!
We are having winds here, also, and the wind chill factor is Brrrr!

When Ralph got home from breakfast with the Veterans, we went to the Amish Market. We were out of sliced pepperoni, and I wanted to get chicken croquettes for us and for SIL Ed. He has alpha gal and can’t eat red meat. After being vegan for years, he and Eddie are eating poultry. I froze them til we see Heather.
Nothing else going on around here.
