Re: ODT SUNDAY 30 NOV ~ SATURDAY 6 DECEMBER

Devonne, I had asked what the restaurant Market Watch was since I had never heard of it. (I think it was Market Watch.) Then today I saw one was being built just 10 minutes from me!  How funny is that!

Trish, I think you most likely could just pick right back up on Y & R.  My mom loved Marlene on Days also.  She thought that lady was so pretty.  I did not watch Days, just Y & R.   I used to watch As the World Turns before it went off the air.

I did some shopping for the stockings today.  We do still make stockings for the sons, DsIL and grands.  I had 4 grocery size bags and it was $125!  WOW, things are expensive.  I still need to get a few things for the boys.  Girls are easy.

It was bitterly cold here too.  It seems a little early to be this cold.  I have no Christmas decorations up yet.    I still have my Thanksgiving flowers, front door wreath and WH up.  I will take them down tomorrow.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 30 NOV ~ SATURDAY 6 DECEMBER

READER'S DIGEST....HUMOR IN UNIFORM......
WHILE OUR FRIGATE WAS TAKING ON SUPPLIES AT SEA FROM A BRITISH SHIP, I NOTICED THREE OF THEIR SAILORS POINTING TO OUR DESTROYER'S SQUADRON CREST, WHICH WAS PROUDLY MOUNTED ON THE SIDE OF OUR SHIP.  THE CREST FEATURED A GREYHOUND AND READ "DESTROYER SQUADRON 2... SECOND TO NONE."
THE BRITISH SAILORS SOON DISAPPEARED INSIDE THIER SHIP, RETURNING MINUTES LATER HOLDING ALOFT A CHALKBOARD ON WHICH WAS WRITTEN:  "WE ARE NONE!"

COLD HERE IN THE 30S TODAY.  EXPECTING MAYBE AN INCH OF SNOW TOMORROW BUT EARLIER THERE WAS A LIGHT DUSTING COMING DOWN.  LUCKY ME I DO NOT HAVE TO GO OUTDOORS AT ALL.

WELL, I MADE THE BUNDIES FOR MY SON AND GRANDSON YESTERDAY.  TODAY IS THE MAKING OF THE TATER TOT SAUSAGE CASSEROLE.  I AM SURE HE WILL ALSO WANT TO TAKE HOME SOME ITALIAN SANDWICHES (SUBS).  I AM READY.  I WILL BAKE THE CASSY WHEN HE HAS LEFT FOR MY SHOPPING.

I DID MY LAPS THIS MORNING AND I SORTED MY WEEKLY PILLS.  I DID THE VACUUMING LAST NITE SO ONLY HAVE THE BATHROOM LEFT TO CLEAN.  AND I NEED TO WIPE DOWN SOME DOORJAMBS SINCE THERE SEEM TO BE FINGERPRINTS ON A COUPLE OF THEM.
MY DAY TODAY WILL NOT BE BUSY.   TOMORROW IS WHEN I PLAN TO MAKE THE ITALIAN WINE COOKIES, NO COOKING TODAY EXCEPT FOR SOME SUPPER WHICH WILL BE LIGHT.
I AM SEESAWING WITH MY WEIGHT.  I GAINED A TOTAL OF 3 LBS THEN LOST ALL BUT ONE OF THEM SO I AM MAKING HEADWAY AGAIN.  ITS THE DARN GOOD COOKING AROUND HERE.  I HAVE TO HAVE MY SHARE.

I NEVER HEARD OF MARKET WATCH BUT I HEAR THEY ARE PUTTING IN AN ALDI'S IN THE NEXT TOWN.

HOLLY......SORRY TO HEAR OF THE NAUSEOUS DAY.  I CAN RELATE.  I HOPE TODAY FINDS YOU IN BETTER SHAPE AND ABLE TO DO YOUR THING.

THAT CLOCK SHOWING TIME ON THE CEILING SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA.  SOMEONE WILL MAKE A MILLION.  IT MEANS ONE DOES NOT HAVE TO CRANE THEIR NECK AROUND TO LOOK AT A BEDSIDE CLOCK OR FIND THEIR PHONE.  JUST LOOK UP.  GREAT.

WOW, THERE ARE SO MANY CHANNELS SHOWING XMAS MOVIES.  I AM SO DARN TIRED OF THEM.  MOST ANYWAY.  I CHECK IN IF THERE ARE ANY ANIMALS INVOLVED OR ANY OF MY FAVORITE ACTORS.  MOST OF MY FAVES ARE PUT BY THE WAYSIDE SINCE THEY ARE GETTING OLDER AND THE ACTORS SEEM TO BE YOUNGER AND YOUNGER EVERY YEAR.  THE OLD CLASSICS ARE GOOD TO WATCH.  SOME OF THEM.  AGAIN, I HAVE SEEN THEM SO MANY TIMES I AM TIRED OF MANY OF THEM SO DON'T BOTHER WATCHING.

OK, I GUESS YOU HAVE HEARD MY THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY.  WISHING YOU ALL A GOOD ONE.  STAY SAFE AND WARM.  HUGS FOR YOU ALL, MY FRIENDS.  QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY 30 NOV ~ SATURDAY 6 DECEMBER

Today seems like Sunday to me. Dreary and rainy day.

Cheryl, it is First Watch. They close here at 2:30.

Trying to decide what to fix for lunch. I am making beef liver and onions for dinner. I rather eat it out, but no one has it on the menu anymore. I used to get it at IHOP and a local restaurant, but neither have it now. You have to be careful and not overcook it. No one likes it but me, lol.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 30 NOV ~ SATURDAY 6 DECEMBER

Good Morning to everyone!!  Have no great plans the day, but Tracy is here and we're headed off somewhere, not sure where!!  It is sort of a gloomy day here now.  Maybe we'll run into something less gloomy!!  Well, I believe she is ready to leave, so I'd better get moving and get in the car.  Hope you all have a really nice day,BJ.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 30 NOV ~ SATURDAY 6 DECEMBER

Our town is getting rid of the outside trash company, and hiring more public works workers, (they did the reverse years ago, oops) and they bought a trash truck. As part of the plan, we got new trash cans, the ones that can be lifted by machinery on the truck. Our cans were dropped off today, they are huge! One is trash, one recycling, and one yard waste. Everyone’s trash day will also change, this takes effect January 1. The town chat has been blowing up for weeks, mostly with stupid questions. It’s being blamed on politics, when it’s economics. The cans are too big, they are too small, the days are confusing, why can’t I just put out trash bags like I’ve been doing for 40 years, all stuff like that. The other hot topics are is the pizza parlor in one section of town better than the one in the other section, and feral cats is always a big topic. Oh well, it’s cheap entertainment.

No sewing today, though I did pick fabrics for bowl cozies. I did some online shopping for bonus gifts.

Dinner will be ravioli and meatballs.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 30 NOV ~ SATURDAY 6 DECEMBER

Thanks for the clarification on that name, Devonne.  I saw it as I was driving and laughed because you had just mentioned it and I said I had never heard of it.  Looks like a smaller strip mall type place here.

It was another cold one but sunny today.

Devonne, my mom loved liver and onions.  She was the only one and when she made it, it "stunk up the house" as we complained as kids.

Amelia came over and brought a friend with her.  They stayed for hours and I finally said I was taking them home because Dean wanted to watch the Ohio State football game at 8:00 p.m.  They arrived at 1:00 p.m. and I took them home at 7:00 pm.   They were no problem, I just wanted some quiet time.

We ordered Chinese take out for supper because I need to go to the grocery store and did not want to do so today.

I started a new jigsaw puzzle and have been working on it today.  Amelia will be coming over this week or the weekend and putting up the Christmas decorations.  She likes to do that and it does help out.
I still need to take down all fall/Thanksgiving things as I did not get to that at all.
