Beautiful sunny day, 64 degrees. It's chilly in here so I turned up the heat. Knees aren't as sore as I thought they would be. I haven't had to use ice at all.
I'm glad I don't have to go anywhere today.

Good afternoon friends!
Devonne, those gel shots helped Dean for the first time, then after that they did not. I hope they work for you. I think Kelli had gotten them several times since her doc said she was too young for knee replacement.
Sandra, congrats on winning that dollar!!
Much better than losing any at all. I am inspired by your little WH and I think I may try one. I am not really into making any more kid quilts since I have 20 or so to deliver somewhere yet. They are stacked in my sewing room closet. A little WH may just be the thing to do.
I made a triple berry pie today. I actually made a homemade crust and I have not done that for years! It took me much longer than I thought it would, but the pie turned out great. I put a lattice top on the pie, but did not do the weaving, just crossed the strips, It is just for family, so I did not take the time to do it "pretty". I am going to let it cool and the freeze it till next week. I am also going to make a breakfast casserole and freeze it too. Anthony called and said they would be staying over night on Thursday and Friday, which surprised me. So I need to do some breakfast ideas. We will have left over Thanksgiving day food for days.
It is also beautiful here today too, just a little windy. It is 53 and beautiful blue sky and sunny.

Afternoon y'all! ![]()
Holly I will try the Tim bits. I downloaded the app a few months back when I discovered the one I passed while visiting mom! We used to go to Tim Hortons in Canada, every time we went there, a visit to Tim Hortons was in order! ![]()
CBQ If you are visiting Happy Birthday! ![]()
Chlynn, I need to get started on my pies! I have the mini shells, so no excuse! ![]()
I have my Christmas cards, I am waiting on Hubby to finish the letter we stick in it! I guess I could go ahead and address them. I really want to sew this afternoon! ![]()
I have 2 pie pumpkins I need to cook and puree. Then measure and freeze. I have my shopping list started, for Thanksgiving! I need to finish it. ![]()
I did walk this morning. Missed the live broadcast of Joyful and Merry, but watched the video and downloaded the block already! I stopped by Starbucks after my walk and got my free red cup. I don't know why I get it, but I do! Luke wants me to make him something like the cardboard wrap, but in fabric. I may be able to do that now! ![]()
I pulled a mish mash out of the freezer a couple days ago so it would start to defrost. We are having that for supper tonight! To remind you what it is: It's pasta, from various meals, cheese from when I last made lasagna, spaghetti sauce from various meals, all frozen together. The sauce and pastas were too much to throw away and too little for a good meal, so it's a waste not meal, different each time! ![]()
Nothing else new from my little corner of the world! ![]()
Later my Friends! ![]()

hi all
we docked in Eden this morning, really cold and windy, I opted to stay onboard 😁 the Mr came back for his parka😱😱, said it would still be cold with that on.
JANET the Edge is a lovely ship, not very old, our cabin is nice and the infinity balcony makes it feel bigger. Our steward is lovely and we have gifts 😁😁 leather room card holders, a tote bag, wine and snacks each afternoon as well. All included in the fare 😁😁, so we paid for them really.
SANDRA enjoy those pancakes, glad you had a win 👏👏
DEVONNE sorry about the knees, hope they feel easier with the injections
HOLLY and THERESA those Tim Hortons bits are good 😁we liked the coffee there too. Coffee here isn’t great, but I’ll survive 😁
We had a very quick boarding yesterday, then a big lunch in the dining room, I could only have a starter for dinner last night and a small carrot cake, still filled me up we met the other 2 couples and all got along well, nice to have some good company.
Internet is awful, using my plan now, the ship one won’t let me use Safari. So I won’t post again till Hobart on (our) Sunday.

We had such a good day! We knew we were going to Heather’s to make pumpkin roll. Heather texted to see if I had Crisco, to grease the pans with. I had an unopened one that expired a year ago. Hers expired in 2021! So our first stop was Aldi to get crisco. Then to First Watch for brunch, then to Heather’s. Heather and Manda baked, Jules and I supervised. They got 6 made. Manda had brought some hand me down homemade items for Baby Boone, so we had invited Mike and Samantha and Boone to come for pizza and pumpkin roll and visiting. Boone is now 9 months and 2 days old, and doesn’t like anyone but her parents. She is too adorable. They left around 7:30, and we left by 8. So Manda got to see both Eddie and Julie, as well as Mike, Sam and Boone. So this is the first I’ve been online today, other than a quick run thru this morning.
LOL, Steph was in Colorado Springs for work, and we were sending her pix all day. She said she was envious of pumpkin roll and Boone.
I wished Sandie Happy Birthday on my quick trip online this morning.
Trish, have a lovely Cruise!

Trish, we have a cruise booked for September 2026. It's 7 days on the Carnival Mardi Gras. I've been on it once, and Greg & Carter twice, but we got a great deal with a balcony. It was the one I couldn't go on in March due to radiation treatments. It's my favorite ship, so I'm happy it's this one again! I have a credit from March so my part is already paid for.
My Discover debit card got hit again, this time for Uber Eats, $83.75. I have never used Uber. Now I have another new card arriving. I think I will go back to a local bank the first of the year. Greg tells me it has nothing to do with Discover, but it's odd this has happened to me twice and never before.
I need to do better the next three days on the eating if I'm to have a loss on Monday. My craving lately has been potato chips...yikes, lol!
I made chicken salad yesterday with leftover rotisserie chicken and tuna salad since I was chopping up celery and onions. I have way too much food and too many choices.

I'M CLEARING AND RE-ORGANIZING MY BATHROOM CLOSET SHELVES AND MY CABINETS. BUSY, BUSY. I HAD MORE THAN I THOUGHT. WILL TOSS AND GIVE SOME NEW STUFF AWAY ON THE 'FREE' COUNTER.
LAST NITE I MADE MY POTATO PANCAKES. MMMM GOOD. TODAY IS THE DAY I ROAST MY TURKEY AND MAKE STUFFING AND MASHED. ITS ENOUGH FOR ME AND A FEW NEIGHBORS. I TOLD THEM IF THEY WANTED OTHER SIDES, THEY HAD TO MAKE THEIR OWN. THEY ARE OK WITH IT.

Good Morning to everyone!! It is raining outside this morning, just a little, but enough to get you wet if you go out!! Well, I just finished my Breakfast Balls; they are quite delicious! I really don't have a thing to say this morning, so will just sign off, wishing you all a wonderful day, BJ.

Holly Pumpkin roll sounds good! ![]()
QB we have had internet outages recently due to high winds! Order that modem today! ![]()
My life is becoming boring again! Darn! LOL! Got my walk in, watched my video, downloaded the pattern, and now here talking to my Friends! Exhausting day! LOL! I did go get the neighbors mail and put it in her garage, along with a package. ![]()
Beautiful day here. Fall is back for a repeat! Puppy's door is open. He goes outside to be a baked potato and comes back in to be a couch potato! Ruff life! ![]()
I guess I will sew this afternoon! I have 4 pairs of rows sewn together! 5 more pairs to go! Takes about a half hour for each row, I am actually pinning so it doesn't slip and the points match up! They are not perfect, but they are close! ![]()
Nothing else exciting from my little corner of the world! ![]()

Holly, Boone and pumpkin rolls sound wonderful!
I love pumpkin roll, but I am the only one, so I do not make them because I would eat it all with no problem. It was always on our baking list when I was growing up.
I made a breakfast casserole and stuck it in the freezer, so breakfast is done for Friday. I am not sure about freezing eggs, but the recipe said it would freeze for up to 3 months.
Trish, enjoy your cruise, even though it sounds cold/windy. I get such motion sickness, I have been afraid to try a cruise. Seem like everybody who goes on one really enjoys it.
Theresa, you have earned some boring time for sure. Your life has been extremely hectic.
It is warmer today, but overcast and gray, so not so pleasant. Dean got the rest of the leaves out of the yard, so that was good.
Nothing else for now. Take care all.

almost time for dinner, not overly impressed with Celebrity Edge. For almost 3000 passengers the ship doesn’t have enough (included) restaurants, and they are constant upselling. It often feels crowded and this morning they had to scramble to open another dining room, too many waiting to be seated for breakfast.
yesterday only the buffet was open for lunch unless you wanted to pay extra for the “speciality” dining rooms. It was chaotic in the buffet
Our cabin steward is lovely, he works hard and has been so friendly.
not really gripping, just not what we have been used to on Cunard. The staff have all been lovely, I suspect Carnival (Celebrity) cost cutting. There never seems to be enough staff in cafes, restaurants.
we are having a good time though. Our group has melded together well
HOLLY we met a couple from Jersey today, they described it as more mid Jersey. I couldn’t remember your address🤣probably won’t see them again.
Weather hasn’t been nice till this afternoon, now the sun is out and the sea looks gorgeous, it’s been dull and cloudy till now. It got a little rough last night, but smooth now.
see you tomorrow.
the Mr just got back from an icecream run, can’t help himself 🤣

Trish, we’re in Pine Hill, in south jersey, 15 miles from Philly, just in case you see them again.
We’re up at zero dark thirty with Manda, her car service arrives at 4:30 for her 7 a.m. flight. We’re sitting here pretending to be awake.

Good Morning to everyone!! I'm doing okay today, except my left leg is bothering again. I guess I'll just live with it awhile!! It has been raining again, think it has stopped for awhile. Just a short breeze blowing right now. Well, I really don't have anything to say this morning, so might just as well sign off. Hope you all have a wonderful day, BJ.

Good Morning. We'll have a day in the 60s and then temps plummet. Have a lot to do outside, but Howard has already gone up to his room to watch Notre Dame football. Oh, well...![]()
We had our Small group yesterday and won't meet again until we go out for Christmas to Olive Garden on Dec. 7th and then not until the 9th of January. Too much going on in Dec. to try to fit that in.
I've already received a delivered pkg. this morning. A book for ML's birthday. The Lost Letters from Martha's Vineyard by Michael Callahan. The last line of the synopsis says: "The Lost Letters unfurls into a heart-stopping story of love, betrayal and even murder." I saw this book reviewed in the newspaper and it sounded like something both she and I might like. ![]()
Theresa, your loving ordeal for and with your Mom was for a season. And like Cheryl, it's good to hear of your re-entry into your normal life, like before. Still very busy, but without the grinding stress. I love to hear about Simba and his escapades. Have to get my "pet fixes"
vicariously, now. ![]()
Holly, I loved your line about pretending to be awake. Glad you didn't have to drive Manda to the airport and hope you crawled back in bed for a few more winks. You mentioned your electric blanket a few posts ago. We just got one this week. I've always "feared" them after my cousin, Lynne's caught on fire. Never heard the details and knowing them, who knows? Howard has always wanted one and he's so cold all the time, so I decided to give that up and, of course, it feels wonderful. He said after the first night it was the best sleep he's had in 50 yrs.
By the way, were doing a turkey breast in the crock pot for the first time this year. Do you have any tips or special ways of seasoning it? Or does anyone else?
I have 4 "blinky" bananas, as in almost past use, but they're still okay for banana bread which I'm going to make today. So with that...I'm going or it won't get done.
Have a great day and blessings to all...
Indy

Judy, I don’t season the turkey breast in the crockpot, it never seemed to season the meat. As for the electric blanket, we’ve had one forever. I asked for one for Xmas probably 40 years ago, and Ralph grumbled to make sure it had dual controls, because he would never use it. As soon as he tried it, he loved it. Yes, we went back to sleep.
Manda was picked up at 4:25 a.m., was at the airport and thru security at 5:05! That’s unheard of. She plane had so few passengers that the flight attendants moved people around to balance the weight, and she ended up with a whole row to herself. She just now texted that they’ve landed at Sea Tac.
I just placed a big order for delivery from Walmart grocery.
Devonne, we got a box of little bags of various chips, about 150 calories each. Makes it much easier to manage the snacking for us. I always overestimate what a serving is.
Theresa, it takes a good while for the unsettled feeling goes away. When Joseph died, I cried every day for 6 months, then told myself that was enough. His death impacted me more than my parents deaths, you are not as surprised when a parent dies, but a 32 year old?!

FRACTURED ENGLISH....
1. I EXPECTED TO ENJOY THE FILM, BUT THAT WAS BEFORE I SAW IT.
2. ARABS WEAR TURBINES ON THEIR HEADS.
ITS A COOL ONE TODAY, IN THE 40S BUT SUNNY.
I ROASTED MY TURKEY. SHARED WITH 4 OTHERS, 2 OF THEM ILL, SO THEY APPRECIATED IT. I SERVED ENOUGH FOR 2 MEALS FOR ALL OF THEM. JUST TURKEY, STUFFING, MASHED POTATOES AND GRAVY. THAT'S ALL I NEED TO KEEP ME HAPPY. THEY CAN ADD ANY SIDES THEY LIKE FROM THEIR OWN PANTRY.
ITS SAT. SO A FEW CHORES LIKE TAKING OUT THE TRASH AND SORTING MY PILLS. MY NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR GOT A PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE SO WE MET IN THE COMMON ROOM AROUND 10 THIS MORNING TO SHARE IT. I DON'T EAT CHEESECAKE, BUT I BROUGHT MY COCOA AND WE CHATTED. ITS ALWAYS GOOD TO GET TOGETHER. ONE OF OUR LADIES IS 85 TODAY SO WE GAVE HER CARDS AND BEST WISHES.
MY DAY WILL BE A FEW CHORES LINED UP FOR THE DAY. MAYBE SOME SEWING. DEPENDS ON HOW I FEEL.
FREEFORM CHANNEL IS SHOWING DISNEY MOVIES ALL THIS MONTH SO I RECORDED A FEW: BAMBI, THE LADY AND THE TRAMP AND 101 DALMATIANS SO FAR. I HAVEN'T HAD THE TIME TO WATCH THEM YET. THE FIRST TIME I SAW BAMBI I WAS 7 AND CRIED AND CRIED IN THE THEATER EMBARASSING MY MOM. I HOPE I CAN HOLD IT TOGETHER TODAY BUT I'M ALONE SO I WON'T DISTURB ANYONE. FROZEN AND FROZEN 2 HAVE ALREADY RUN. I ADORE MANY OF THE DISNEY MOVIES AND THEY ARE NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN WATCH ON TV USUALLY SO THIS IS A BONUS TIME.
THAT'S IT LADIES. STAY SAFE. HUGS FOR YOU ALL, QB S![]()

I got my new debit card today. It was a Fed-X delivery. I need to change my old number in my automatic payments, Amazon, etc. I had the old number memorized, but this one is even easier to learn.
I've been cleaning out my kitchen cabinets. I don't like a lot of things on my countertop, but I've leaving my new mixer and my Ninja griddle out. I got all the oils put in the cabinet and put the spatulas in a drawer. I'll leave out the wooden spoons. I also got my stove top razor scraped and cleaned and sprayed the oven with oven cleaner. I let it sit overnight and clean the next day.
I don't have cable nor satellite so don't get that channel, Sandra. I can pay $3.99 each to watch all of those movies on Prime Video if I wanted to, but I don't pay for movies. I have enough to watch on Netflix, Prime Video, You Tube TV, Paramount and You Tube. I need to watch Netflix more since I'm paying for it, but I end up on YT or Prime Video, lol.
My next chore is cleaning off the island so I can clean out the fridge. I have no room to put anything right now. I'm resting right now.
Holly, I understand that about a 32 year old. It's not supposed to happen.

Holly, it is so true about the young dying. My nephew was a single father of three kids had a massive heart attack at the age of 38. He was not overweight, but he did smoke. No history of heart issues. My dear beloved niece died at age 39 of leukemia. She gave it a valiant fight, but lost. Her death bothered me the most. The funeral/viewing was torture for me and I fell apart. Seemed more so than her parents but I know that was not true. They were stoic.
I had chili in the freezer from last week, so Dean and I had chili-mac for supper. It was just as good today as it was then! Easy supper.
We have cable TV, but no movie channels or prime TV. I watch all old TV, so I would not watch movies or any new streaming things. Dean does like movies, but like me, he is too cheap to pay!
That cable bill is high enough.
It was 60 degrees today and we got the remaining flower pots put away and Dean trimmed down the fire bush and all the tall grasses. The grasses near our shed are getting out of hand, but they are so hard to dig up and that is what we must do next spring.
Well, I brought my 16 pound turkey up from the basement freezer this morning to start thawing in the frig. About 3 hours later, I figured out that Thanksgiving is still 12 days away!! I was thinking it was this coming Thursday.
So, Dean took it back down to the freezer. It had not thawed out at all. I no longer can keep track of the days.
