Bumping for the week I posted pics on last weeks thread, it works on postimage on the iPad, no idea what's wrong with iMac ??
I've been sewing, also picked out the fabrics for my sis's quilt, it's been along day, cut our fabric for Flying Geese, I have to make 60 - yikes!!! It took ages to do the cutting. I actually got to sew some, made about 15 I think.
I hope sis likes her fabric, I have to figure out how to make the pattern bigger, I will do some measuring tomorrow.
Tuned cold, now but has been a lovely sunny day, still pretty cool, but nice to have the sun!!

we’re having a great time! Manda, Ben and kids and Steph all stayed here last night. I made a cinnamon rain bread and apples French toast casserole for breakfast, and now they are all getting showered. The washer, dryer and dishwasher have been running nonstop! We’re all leaving by noon to go to Heather’s, and Steph will stay there tonight.

SIGNS OF THE TIMES.....
ON A WINDOW OF A NEW HAMPSHIRE HAMBURGER RESTAURANT: YES, WE ARE OPEN. SORRY FOR THE INCONVENIENCE.
WE ARE ALL HOPING THAT WE GET THE RAIN TODAY AS PROMISED. SUNNY AND WARM RIGHT NOW.
TRISH.....WHAT GREAT PHOTOS. HE'S A CHARMER AND BRIDIE LOOKS LIKE SUCH A GOOD BIG SISTER.
YOU ARE ALWAYS MAKING MORE AND MORE QUILTS. I ADMIRE YOUR ENTHUSIASM.
DEVONNE......I UNDERSTAND YOUR NOT WANTING TO TRAVEL ALONE. UNLESS YOU CAN PARTNER WITH A GOOD FRIEND WHO CAN SHARE SOME OF THE DRIVING AND JUST BE THERE FOR YOU, ITS A DIFFERENT LIFESTYLE TRAVELING COMPLETELY ALONE.
NOT MUCH HAPPENING FOR MY DAY OF REST. I HAVE LOOKED FOR SOME HAND APPLIQUE WORK I CAN DO AT CRAFT MORNINGS. I HAVE 2 CAROLE ARMSTRONG BOOKS, ONE FEATURING BIRDS AND ANOTHER WITH CATS. I MAY START WITH A BIRD PATTERN. I CAN MAKE ONE TO FIT A SMALL DOORHANGING AND THERE'S NOT AS MANY COLORS THAT WOULD BE NEEDED. PONDERING NOW ON WHICH BIRD TO START WITH. SHE ALSO HAS HAND QUILTING PATTERNS FOR THE BACKGROUNDS. I HAVE DONE ONE OF HERS BEFORE AND ENJOYED THE HAND QUILTING. WILL HAVE TO GET OUT MY LIGHTBOX AND GET STARTED.
ALSO TODAY I PLAN ON THAT BAKED CHICKEN WITH ASSORTED FRESH VEGGIES DISH FOR SUPPER. AND MAYBE EVEN SHARING SOME. DEPENDS ON HOW MUCH I MAKE. I HAVE TONS OF POTATOES, BOTH SMALL RED AND YELLOW ONES AND RUSSETS SO NEED TO COOK SOME OF THOSE UP.
I WORKED ON MY JIGSAW PUZZLE YESTERDAY. ITS SLOW GOING. SMALL THINGS IN THE PUZZLE WHICH MAKE IT DIFFICULT TO MATCH THE PIECES.
I ALSO STARTED ANOTHER BOOK BY RITA MAE BROWN, THIS ONE WITH THE 'TALKING' DOGS AND CATS THAT LEARN SECRETS AND SHARE THEM. ITS ANOTHER COZY MYSTERY. THAT'S WHAT THEY ARE CALLED THESE DAYS, THE ONES WITHOUT THE BLO.OD AND G.ORE. THIS IS TITLED WISH YOU WERE HERE.
TRYING TO THINK WHAT ELSE IS NEW BUT CAN'T. I GUESS I AM OUT OF NEWS FROM THE NORTH COUNTRY.
STAY SAFE EVERYONE. HUGS FOR YOU ALL. QB S

Holly, enjoy the good times! My Mom always stood on the front porch and watched us head back to Georgia until we were out of sight. I do the same thing, lol.
Greg asked me yesterday why I stay here in the house so much. Said I needed to get out and enjoy things I like to do, places I like to go, go visit my sister in Indiana. I've never went anywhere without Billy. I know there are women that travel alone, even single women who live in RV's that travel across the US. I find it's so lonely traveling alone. He said I have a good vehicle now and I have enough money to travel. I do have Gracie, but it's a job taking care of an animal when traveling and she can't carry on a conversation, lol!

Hi all. I'm back form my east coast trip. Everyone did fine with out me We are finally getting rain!! So many flowers burned up. Mom is having her tremors/episodes daily and often. So hard to navigate. It's mostly on her left side which is the same as her last stroke so makes no sense. Trying a new med starting on Thursday, fingers crossed. Time to fix mom's hair
I enjoy all your posts.

Tracy, thanks for letting us know about BJ. Hope your trip went well.
Trish, oh I just want to smell that little baby head! The children are adorable! I do not want to cope with a new one, but to hold one for a little while would be nice. Some days (and I mean just some) I miss having little ones about.
I was a bare foot child and now I am a barefoot woman in the house. Sometimes I go to the end of the drive to get the mail, but that is all. Our friend, Leon, goes everywhere bare foot. He even drives his truck bare footed, which I think is illegal.
Judy, I hope Howard does get his asthma under control. That really would be much better than OCPD. I thought my cardio doc would mention my weight since I had gained 10 pounds since last year's visit. She did not, but then again, she is rotund herself. She is a short Asian woman who is pretty round for a cardio doc, but I absolutely love her. She answers every question I have and does not make me fell ignorant.
Devonne, I don't think I could travel alone either. I do watch a couple of ladies (Van Life women) who travel all over alone. One is young but most are older women. They do seem to have a group who gets together and support each other. Still, it would be scary to sleep in the woods or city in a van or car all alone.
Lazy day today. Read, did word puzzles and watched TV. Dean is taking his old car for a ride, so here I am on the computer.
Online!
Barefoot? No. My mom sewed, and she was prone to dropped pins. Now that I have such trouble with sore feet, I always wear supportive shoes and recently, compression socks as well.
Traveling alone? Yes, depending on the situation. I feel very safe in just about all of Europe. Driving with one other person here in the States is fine. I would never, ever travel alone in the Middle East or Asia. That being said, I would have loved a companion for part of my Scotland trip. It would have been nice to share some of the experiences. However, I'm not sure anyone else would have wanted to spend half a day traveling to a little town to visit a museum of an obscure author no one has ever heard of. I do like being spontaneous and heading out on an impulse to a performance or to get something to eat. I also meet lots of people when traveling solo. So, there are pros and cons to all of it. If you know yourself, you will know what works for you.

SIGNS OF THE TIMES......
IN A FUNERAL PARLOR: ASK ABOUT OUR LAYAWAY PLAN.
WE NEVER GOT THAT RAIN THEY PROMISED. ANOTHER LOVELY DAY THO. IN THE LOW 70S FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS.
FUNNY THING ABOUT THE SIGN OF THE TIMES TODAY. MY MOM, WHO DID NOT WANT HER KIDS TO HAVE TO PAY FOR HER FUNERAL, AND UNABLE TO GET MORE INSURANCE AS SHE GOT OLDER, PRE-PAID FOR HER FUNERAL A FEW YEARS BEFORE SHE WENT TO HEAVEN WITH ST. PETER. PAYING EARLY SHE EVEN GOT THE GOOD STUFF FOR LESS MONEY SINCE SHE PREPAID AND IT WENT INTO A SPECIAL ACCOUNT. HER CLOTHES, HER WISHES, HER COFFIN, WERE ALL CHOSEN YEARS BEFORE. SO YES, SHE HAD A LAYAWAY PLAN AND THAT'S WHAT THEY CALLED IT, TOO.
MARYLOU......I HOPE YOU MANAGED YOUR DAY YESTERDAY WITH LOTS OF NICE MEMORIES AND EVEN MAYBE A TEAR OR TWO. ITS TOUGH TO GET THRU OUR ANNIVERSARIES WITHOUT OUR SPECIAL GUY. HUGS.
BJ AND TRACY.....THANK TRACY FOR CHECKING IN AND KEEPING US UP TO DATE. I AM GLAD YOU ENJOYED YOUR TRIP EAST. SORRY OUR DEAR BJ HAS THOSE SHAKES. HUGS.
I AM RE-THINKING MY HAND APPLIQUE PROJECTS FOR CRAFT MORNINGS. THE BOOKS I HAVE ARE LOVELY WITH WONDERFUL PATTERNS OF BIRDS OR CATS, BUT SO MANY PIECES AND MANY OF THEM VERY TINY. SO I OPTED TO USE ONE OF MY VICTORIAN LADIES INSTEAD. THERE ARE ONLY 9 PCS AND ALL OF THEM LARGE ENOUGH FOR ME TO HANDLE EASILY. I MAY EVEN HAND QUILT THE BLOCK WHEN ITS APPLIQUED. THAT SHOULD BE EASY ENOUGH TO DO WHILE CHATTING AND LISTENING AT CRAFT MORNINGS. I HAVEN'T HAND QUILTED IN AGES BUT I HAVE BEFORE. IT SHOULD BE FUN.
THAT'S IT LADIES. STAY SAFE. HUGS FOR YOU ALL. QB S

Hi, all.
I'm sure Theresa will be here before long, but please keep her and her family in your prayers. Her mom died last night. I talked to her briefly and told her to let us know whether she needs anything.

Tracy, thank you for the update on BJ. I hope the new medicine works.
Carol, thanks for the update. What new projects are you doing now? Do you like doll making better than quilt making?
Theresa, so sorry for your loss. I hope you have peace in knowing you did everything you could to make her life comfortable.
Linda, glad you are doing ok.

Afternoon y'all!
Thank you for your well wishes! Mom's funeral mass is next week. Wednesday at 11 am Eastern time. Yesterday the internet and cable was out. Of course. I have worked with the funeral home, yesterday and today the church. Still trying to get the cemetery to return my calls.
I will travel to SC to put her next to dad.
We have most of her stuff out of her room, and my neighbor is putting his mom into a "nursing home", so they are benefitting from us! So glad I do not have to figure out what to do with everything.
Feels kinda weird, not running to get mom this that and the other. I know she is happy again, she is with her soulmate! I had told her on Friday it is OK to go to see dad. She must have taken it to heart. I had been to visit her on Sunday just a few hours before she passed, I was able to tell her one last time that I love her. I would always tell her that before I left our visits. She has been unresponsive for weeks, but I believe she heard me talk to her.
Nothing else, need to clean my house, put her stuff away, etc before people start visiting. My house looks like something exploded in it! Mom had more clothes than I do! I have taken the hanging clothes and removed the hangers. Need to put them into bags for St Vincent de Paul. We have to figure out the furniture. I did ask my brother, but he does not want it. I will give him the duplicate pictures I have from mom and dads 50th wedding anniversary. He actually thanked me for that!
I really love the funeral home I am dealing with. They are really good! They are a ways away from me, but that is not a big deal. I should not have to go many more times. Just once I think. To bring the Urn. Found out from a friend the best thing to do is get it off of Amazon. OMGoodness it is hundreds of dollars cheaper, and much more to choose from! My tip for the day!
Simba has been a constant shadow today. Yesterday he fell asleep with his head on my lap. He has never done that. Dogs are smart!
Nothing else new! I actually reached a person at the cemetery! I am shocked. One has to be persistent! You all know I can be! I have the information I need from them and a name. So all is good for the moment!
My "former" Sister in law even reached out to me. We are the same age, same month. My Brothers first wife. I have been giving her the information as I get it.
The not going to rain alarm is going off. (Lightening Alarm) I had to run and let Simba out! I need to get off the computer just in case!
Later my Friends!
