Happy Sunday, ladies!

THANK YOU DIANE, I hope things are looking better for you! You have had a lot happening lately (((hugs)))
SANDRA I have to look that series up, I am binge watching a lot lately - while I sew, I prop the iPad up near the machine, most shows I can watch and sew. I have so many shows on Britbox, I keep marking them to watch, then forget to check my list LOL
DEVONNE well done on getting the new car, and getting everything sorted, I need to start thinking about a new car too. Mine is now almost 12 yrs old, hard to believe I've had it that long.
INDY too funny I did a CHERYL too, I am glad ML had a good time, and you DIDN'T add to your collection.
I'm culling books, I found lots in bookcases that really need to go, the 7 I put out went in a flash when I added them to the Facebook site, and I've packed some in the car already for when I see my sis, her grands will love them, and she is taking the full Gordon Classic Library that was our mum's, gorgeous leather bound very fine paper books. All the classics, but I almost wore out Pride & Prejudice.
JANET how are you feeling??
The Mr is still coughing, and he now thinks he MAY contact the Dr tomorrow, he can't use his c-pap machine, he can't breathe with it, so my suggestion of a blocked nose could be correct?? LOL Honestly, he needs to be more proactive with his health, but I can't make him do it, and if I suggest I am NAGGING!!!
HOLLY good for you getting the machine going, it's a bit daunting when there is so much different about the new machines, but they are fabulous to sew with!
CHERYL so you are having a babysit with poor 'little' boy LOL He will follow you everywhere now, Alfie does the same when Gary is away, they need their people, Seems the bigger the dog the more sooky they are. Seems like I have sensitive skin for tints, I didn't think I would react that way though. Now my left eye is still a bit droopy, so maybe a visit to the eye surgeon if the eyelid doesn't lift up again, I had the surgery to reduce upper eyelid years ago, and I was told I may need it again, seems it can run in families, and all my dad's sisters had it.
I had a lovely lunch with our UK tour group, it was a long lunch, I left just before 4pm and I had got there by 11.30am, it was great to talk with everyone. Not everyone can make it, but we had 16 of us, so a good group.
I wasn't hungry tonight, but cooked some roasted veg and a couple lamb steaks for the guys, I just had some veg, the steamed beans were yummy, tasted so fresh. And I had a cup of lemon & ginger tea, I had a coffee at the restaurant, it was really strong, but I drank it, I think she must have put a double in it, I got shaky after a while, OK now, just the overload of caffeine, doesn't usually happen unless I have had too many coffees, but this was just one!! I drank a couple glasses of water to try to dilute it, or maybe it's the steroids I am taking - just thought of that.

GOOD MORNIN!

Good morning! A couple times a year I get a gout like thing, usually my right great toe. I woke up with it sore and painful to walk on. Advil, ice and elevation are all taking place now. It’s annoying as well as painful. So I’m on the couch for the day.
Devonne, remarry? Never! Ralph’s uncle Frank had his Helen. They each had their own houses. They went on trips together, out to eat together and were very fond of each other. He remembered her in his will. I could see that type of relationship, but never marriage.
Another hot one! Portland OR is under a heat advisory! Steph is so happy they had AC put in when they had the heater replaced.

ACCIDENTAL BLOOPER......
MY CAR WAS LEGALLY PARKED AS I BACKED INTO THE OTHER VEHICLE.
THE SUN IS IN AND OUT TODAY. TEMPS LOW 70S THIS AFTERNOON.
REMARRY? NEVER. I TOLD MY SON ONLY IF THE GUY WAS A BILLIONAIRE SO I COULD TAKE CARE OF FAMILY. NO ONE COULD STEAL MY HEART LIKE MY GUY.
I AM STILL AWAITING MY NEW BATHROOM SCALE. I AM DOING SO WELL ON THE NOT-EATING-TOO-MUCH PLAN. I HOPE I HAVE LOST A BIT. I WILL BE ABLE TO TELL FROM THE WEIGHT I WAS WHEN I WENT TO MY DR THIS WEEK.
MADE THE HALF RECIPE OF MY CHICKEN RICE SOUP AND ENJOYED SOME FOR SUPPER. NOW MY PLANS ARE FOR LINK SAUSAGE WITH THE END OF MASHED FOR SUPPER TODAY WITH A BIT OF VEGGIE, AND THEN WITH EGGS FOR THE NEXT 2 DAYS. WHEN ONE LIVES ALONE AND DOES NOT HAVE EXTRA FREEZER SPACE, ONE HAS TO EAT LEFTOVERS FOR AT LEAST 2, BUT MORE OFTEN, 3 DAYS IN A ROW. CKN SOUP FOR LUNCHES TILL DONE. I CAN SEE I WILL BE ABLE TO SAVE QUITE A BIT ON MY GROCERY BILLS EACH MONTH.
THE SIGNED, SEALED AND DELIVERED MARATHON RESUMES TODAY AGAIN THIS MORNING. LUCKY ME I CAN RECORD THE SHOWS SO I DON'T MISS ANY OF THEM. THE MAIN CHARACTER IS QUIRKY AND THERE IS A LOT OF PULLING AT THE HEARTSTRINGS, BUT I LIKE HAPPY ENDINGS SO ITS A GOOD SERIES FOR ME.
I DID A BIT OF HOUSEHOLD CHORES YESTERDAY, BUT NOT MUCH. I WILL FINISH MY LIST THIS MORNING EVEN THO ITS MY DAY OF REST.
DIANE.....HOW NICE TO SEE YOU POSTING. I HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL.
TRISH.....I AM GLAD YOU ARE HEALING OK. THAT MUST HAVE BEEN SCARY. MAYBE AS ONE GETS OLDER WE GET MORE SENSITIVE TO HEALTH ISSUES.
DEVONNE.....GOOD FOR YOU GETTING YOUR NEW CAR. I HOPE ITS VERY COMFY AND WORKS FOR YOU. AS FOR YOUR SON GETTING YOURS SOLD, HOORAY ON THAT. IT WENT QUICKLY.
LINDA.....GOOD TO SEE YOU POSTING. EVEN A FEW LINES ARE ALWAYS WELCOME FROM OUR GROUP.
I NEED TO GET OUT AND WALK MY LAPS. I WILL PROBABLY SIT AND WORK MY JIGSAW FOR AWHILE.
WISHING YOU ALL A GOOD DAY. HUGS, QB S

Good Morning to everyone!! It is a lovely day outside, light breeze and the sun is shining brightly. Tracy came last evening, which was lovely. I believe Rhonda gets home from her trip today. I'm sure she had a lovely time. I have a Dr. appt tomorrow.
Well, I really don't have a thing to say this morning, so will sign off, hoping everyone has a wonderful day, BJ.

I have been kinda lazy today. I did shampoo the carpet in my bedroom and have more things going to Goodwill. Less is more, lol!
Holly, Billy had gout when he was in rehab and couldn't do PT for a week. I can't remember the pills they gave him. He couldn't stand a sheet on his big toe.
Today I fixed special food for my fur babies. The goal is not much protein, so I didn't add much chicken. Molly is smart...she ate around the kidney function food, lol. I have a Ninja food processor/blender I pulled from under the cabinet. I was amazed at how great it shredded the chicken. I'm going to keep it on my countertop. It has all kinds of attachments. One is for smoothies.
Greg listed his "old" Tesla for sale today. I could have bought it, but I didn't want an electric car and it's too high tech for me.

Devonne, they probably put him on colchicine. Gout is caused by a buildup of uric acid in a joint. I don’t think mine is true gout, because the episode only lasts 24 hours. I took Advil, elevated, and I have ice on it again. I’d say it’s 75% resolved. Which is good because I got nothing done today.

GOOD MORNING!
DID A LITTLE READING TO CATCH UP.
SORRY FOR ANY PASSING AWAY OF LOVED ONES.SO SORRY. BELATED BIRTHDAY AND ANNIVERSARY WISHES.
HOPE THOSE HAVING VARIOS ISSUES ARE DOING MUCH BETTER.
DEVONNE, SORRY ABOUT MOLLY. KNOW IT IS TOUGH. ((((HUGS))))..........
OUR "NEW" CAR IS NOW 11 YEARS OLD. MILEAGE IS 41,273. IT DOESN'T GET DRIVEN NEARLY ENOUGH.
LIGHT SUMMER READING, I LIKE JANET EVANOVICH. LANGUAGE IS NOT GOOD IN THE STEPHANIE PLUM SERIES BUT NO COLORFUL IN HER OTHER BOOKS.. MOST OF THEM AEPRE FAILR SHORT. LIGHT MYSTERIES. GOT A LOT OF THE FREE ON KINDLE.
DARRELL'S TV CROAKED THIS WEEK. SETTING UP THE NEW ON WAS A PAIN IN THE TUSH. WE ARE NOT TECH SAVY, YHAT IS FOR SUE.. GOT TO THE PART WHERE WANTED TO SCAN THE QR CODE. NEVER SCANNED BEFORE. THAT DIDN'T WORK, BUT FINISHED IT ON WEBSITE.
Sure need my grandson to tweak my laptop. Not easy doing everything on tablet. Can do most things.
Hope everyone is okay.
Thinking of everyone. PRAYERS,........................

Linda- I hear you about not techy. We bought a huge YV from BestBuy. We had the GeekSquad deliver and set it up…but they needed a part and were supposed to return….over a week later, still no call. I’ve called several times, goes to voicemail. I’ll try once more today and then call the CC company to stop payment and then the store to tell them to come get it.
About new cars….i wish we had kept the Tav. The Edge is ok but all the electronic bs is annoying and distracting while driving. The visibility is awful, even with the stupid cameras. The Rav was a bigger, higher SUV and I could parallel park that thing easily. This one? I look for pull through parking. What’s more is I didn’t want black and I wanted a X5 if anything at all. I rarely mention this to DH. He said if you hate it, sell it and I’ll get you the BMW. Ok. I said….I’m still waiting.
I guess now, it doesn’t matter much. I hardly drive anywhere anymore, not that I was ever much into driving.
Can you tell I’m having a crummy day already and I’ve only been up about an hour??

Ralph needed something notarized, so we went to the bank, and I got some cash while we were in there. I hate their ATM, it only has $50 and $20’s, and I need a lot of 10’s for tips. We stopped and brought home lunch.
I’d say my foot/gout is 80% resolved.
Devonne, around here the Tesla dealer gets picketed. I would not have one for obvious reasons.
I’m semi techy at best. I’ve told Ralph he’s never allowed to die, because I need him for tech. He thinks it’s funny when I yell at the computer or the TV.

Holly, glad you are feeling better!
Janet, I can't see out of this CRV nearly as good as I could the Highlander. I'm going to do the pull thru parking when I can. I wonder if I made a mistake not waiting to find the RAV4 I wanted. This is a really nice SUV and looks brand new, both inside & outside. I did drive a RAV4 and the CRV sat better.
Gracie has ate Molly's food the last two days. Now I'm feeding Molly in the bedroom. She eats the wet kidney food, but manages to eat around the dry, lol. Gracie has no problem gobbling it down.

Devonne- have they suggested giving Molly sub q fluids to help her kidneys? We did it with both cats, along with a special kidney food. The vet was convinced it improved their kidney function and extended their lives.

Hi all
Must admit I had a bit of a giggle about all of us having Tech issues, seems like they are a problem for us oldies, and I feel like I am usually pretty good, everything is now an App or a QR code, Drives me crazy, they want us to hang on to our old stuff LOL
JANET sorry you are having such a day, it happens, take a deep breath and have a nice herbal tea and relax in your sewing room.
SANDRA I looked up Signed Sealed Delivered and I can't get it - darn it, sounds like I would like it, it's on Hallmark, and we can't get that here. I have lots of other things I can watch but we seem to enjoy the same programs, funny about that though, the Mr had started to watch one of the Midsomer Murders and he said it was boring, I guess he likes the noisy action ones better, I prefer the implied violence.
DEVONNE I was going to say, and please don't get upset about it, that perhaps her time is now limited and wouldn't it be better for her to live out her life with enjoyment (not to say DON'T try better foods) but to let her have what she wants, it's not going to make a huge difference to her length of time, but it will her enjoyment of her time (((((hugs))))) said with lots of love to you!!
Sorry about the car, I feel happier in my little Hyundi seats than the Mazda, they see much more comfy somehow, the car is great to drive though, and I do love all the bells and whistles, although they were odd at first, especially the "Driver Alert" that was scary LOL
HOLLY ouch on the toe, it's a horrid thing to have a sore toe, you use it always, my dad used to get a bit of gout, he also had diabetes, and it gave him grief at times, but he coped well
It's freezing here today, one of our coldest days, we were all very cold at training, the Mr is sick, he finally realised that he couldn't go to his bowls today and went to the Dr instead, he's grumpy and I am "nagging and picking on him" because I said that I was pleased that he decided to look after himself, AND because when he came home he was a little far out from the garage door so I said the car needed to move forward a little, he was really cross, LOL BUT he's not tired, and he's not grumpy according to him, just I am !! LOL It's going to be a long couple days till he feels better.
I am now heading to do some sewing, I tried to sit in the living room to sew some EPP but my hands are too sore today, so I will get some blocks done on the machine instead.
I got some very cheap quiches and a lasagne yesterday, some for Megan as well, John has tried the quiche, he said it was really, really good, so high praise from him, he was hungry though.
