Good Morning to everyone!! I'm not feeling too great this day. No energy at all, so will keep this very brief. I hope everyone of you is feeling great. Frank has to go to post op tomorrow for his foot. Hope that goes well.
I'm just going to sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

Hot and sunny here! I finished making the last two battings for this next batch of table runners yesterday, and today I sandwiched and sewed around the edges of both. Now to trim and turn right side out.
I finished Alone by Lisa Gardner, listed as the first DD Warren mystery. It was odd, DD didn’t show up til far in the book, and only made a few appearances. I was never sure if the main character was Bobby the cop, or the main female. I liked it enough to request the second in the series, we’ll see where it goes.
Not sure what’s for dinner.

TWO-HEADED HEADLINES.....
1. FUND SET UP FOR BEATING VICTIM'S KIN.
2. STOLEN PAINTING FOUND BY TREE.
ITS A LOVELY DAY AFTER THE RAIN. SUNNY AND IN THE 70S. WONDERFUL DAY.
I READ ON A 'HEALTHY' SITE THAT THE TEMPS ON THE DOOR ARE A BIT LOWER THAN THE INTERIOR OF THE FRIDGE SO YOU SHOULD NOT KEEP MILK, CREAM, AND THE LIKE ON THE DOOR.
TODAY IS BINGO NITE. I HOPE I CAN KEEP UP THE WINS. AT THIS RATE MY LAUNDRY COSTS WILL BE PAID BY MY WINNINGS. I LIKE THAT A LOT.
I SLEPT WELL LAST NITE AND THAT SURE MAKES A DIFFERENCE. I FEEL SO GOOD THIS MORNING THAT I EVEN CUT MY HAIR BEFORE MY SHOWER. IT SURE NEEDED IT. NEXT I WILL TAKE MY LAPS AND WORK THE JIGSAW PUZZLE. AS FOR COOKING, I STILL HAVE SOME LEFTOVERS SO WILL FINISH THOSE BEFORE MAKING SOMETHING NEW.
I HAVE BEEN READING A LOT LATELY. SOMETIMES I GET SO DEEP INTO THE STORY I JUST HATE TO PUT DOWN THE BOOKS.
WISHING YOU ALL A GOOD DAY. HUGS, QB S

It's been interesting hearing about Greg's adventure in Switzerland. Greg's "boss overseas" came and picked him up at the Geneva Marriott to take him to dinner. He pulled up in a convertible Porsche. He ordered wine & Greg is not a wine drinker, but he drank it and had a beer. Steak was great and he had pear sorbet which was new to him & delicious. His traveling partner said this guy makes over $800,000 a year. Everything is expensive in Switzerland. Rent, food, chocolate, etc. It reminds me of the prices we saw in Hawaii. A gallon of milk is $7.50-$8.00.
Trish, I guess once you travel thru the Atlanta airport, you compare all the others to it, lol. I thought the Denver airport was small.
Cheryl, you were right about the watermelons really spreading. I knew I couldn't put them in a pot because they need to spread. They have spread more with all the rain we've been getting.
I went to the GMC place in Carrollton and drove a Subaru Outback. I had a little trouble getting in because of the threshold. Had to lift my feet. If I remembered correctly, the Forester wasn't like that. He had a Forester and I asked to sit in it. Easy in and easy out! That's important when you're elderly.

No energy today, although I did vacuum the kitchen and eat-in area. Dinner…left over pasta with garlic broccolini. Me? I’ll find something in the freezer. Not really hungry.
Devonne- I have a Ford Edge ST…not sure they make it anymore. It has plenty of power and a rides nice. I loved my RAV4, if they were still making it with a V6 I would buy it in a flash.
DH is new truck shopping again…😵💫. Now that he’s over the sticker shock (probably even more now due to the tariffs) he plans to order one soon. The model he wants priced out at close to $100,000…before tax, pre, tags, etc.

DEVONNE Switzerland is a beautiful place, but you are right, SO expensive, I was shocked at the prices years ago, would be much worse now. Have you tried the Rav4, my sis has one and loves it. Easy to get in and out of as well.
SANDRA wishing you luck for Bingo! So nice of you to take care of your ailing neighbours, they would love the home cooked meals, I'm sure they have food, but sometimes having something made for you just hits the spot!
HOLLY I had heard of that author, I haven't read any of them - yet. I am finishing off a book in the All Souls series. I did like them.
Good work finishing the runners!
BJ hope you feel better after a rest, and hoping that Frank is doing OK after surgery.
JANET hope you have more energy tomorrow, good to get that cleaning done, maybe some soup while you don't feel well! Chicken soup with dumplings, matzo balls YUM!
I had a very productive day, picked up my new glasses, did some shopping, made some corn relish/sour cream dip for Pete and baked some Lebanese Bread chips. Started on sewing the new quilt, lucky I did, realised I had cut 2 1/2" squares instead of the 4 1/2" ones, plenty of fabric, and I will get a lot done tomorrow.
Chicken Kiev tonight with baked veg and peas and zucchini.
I also packed, and got quite a bit of the snack type things we take plus coffee/tea bags into my suitcase, less bags in the car and an easy wheel into the apartment.
I had everything else ready to get into the bag, overnight gear and toiletries all organised waiting for me, there must be the something I've forgotten me thinks!!
Yep!! Just spent some time looking for a shirt I wanted to wear with my wide leg white jeans, couldn't find it anywhere, and also a cotton sweater I bought just to take away, so now they are packed. Still have tons of room.
I want to stop reading, so I have set my Kindle on the charger to stop me LOL The last book is calling me and I am resisting!
Early to bed for me, bread to bake in the morning, and then pack for sewing day. I am looking forward to seeing the girls, Julie has been in contact, she is now in Edinburgh after a short stop in London, she and hubby have sure covered some ground this trip! From Rome and then down the Amalfi coast, then Zurich and touring Switzerland on to London and Edinburgh now. Lots of her pics are gorgeous, I am envious, she is disappointed about her cable car ride up the Matterhorn, it was too windy and not safe so was cancelled.

Nothing going on here. (My kind of day.) Howard is going upstairs to tend to the bird and install "something" on his 3-D printer. I'm going to carry on in my office/spare bedroom.
QB, I wonder if there are statistics for winning and/or losing at something like Bingo. But, it must be random, as it's not just the one thing or the other. Interesting about the refrigerator door. I have always heard that the door is warmer and that is why you should not store dairy in it. I nestle my gallon of milk in the door between the orange juice and my 1 qt. of 1/2 and 1/2 and that seems to keep the milk colder. Glad you have nothing pressing today since you slept so little.
Devonne, will there be other overseas trips in Greg's future? Glad he got to do this for something new and different. The long flights are the worst part but you do sort of settle in and zone out knowing it's inevitable. (I have only flown to Europe once so of course, I should know! ) It does feel a bit strange for the ones who stay at home (you) to know your loved one is on a different continent so far away.
Trish, is your holiday a bowls thing for Warwick or is this a mini vacation? It's a big procedure to go anywhere, even for a short time. You are certainly the expert at that among us, here.
I surely wish I knew what to have for supper. Everything I have is frozen and time's a'wasting...
With that, I'm through. Have a good rest of the day.

Janet, I thought you had a lot of trouble with your RAV4?
Judy, Carter graduates from the 8th grade next May. Greg is taking him to Toyko. This Switzerland trip was out of the blue. His manager said if he couldn't go because it's his week to have Carter, it was fine. He doesn't get Carter until 5 pm tomorrow so it worked out great.
I've been learning a lot about rings because I wanted to get some for me! I came across Moissanite and learned about Sterling Silver 925. If the band doesn't say S925, it's not sterling silver. The 925 means it's 92.5 sterling silver. The Mohs scale determines how hard a mineral is. A diamond is 10, moissanite is 9.25 and cubic zirconia is 8.25. My favorite gemstone is the opal, but it's so fragile. I'm still learning!

Devonne, when Jake was ready to buy a ring for Molly, he went to a relative of hers who owns a jewelry store. They recommended a manufactured diamond. They said they are so much like real ones that there’s a real problem with counterfeiting! A manufactured diamond that coasts $500 is like a real 10k diamond! Not to mention the whole blood diamond thing.
I’m reading Beautiful Day by Elin Hilderbrand, the first I’ve read by her. So far I like it a lot.
It was over 90 today! Good news about my new Janome, it should be in by Wednesday! Earlier than expected, yay!

SANDRA sorry about the loss, at least it wasn't too bad. Hope you get a good nights tonight ((((hugs))))
DEVONNE Hope that Gary has a good flight, and can cope with jet lag, shouldn't be too bad, not too long a flight. I think Carter will enjoy Tokyo, my sis's grands have been couple times, they love it, Tokyo Disney is great, and there are so many toy places.
HOLLY My real diamond is somewhere down a drain LOL we bought a diamond form a wholesaler for not a great deal, turns out it was worth a small fortune, then I go and lose it from the setting. (pretty sure it went down the shower drain ) It wan't insured, we couldn't afford the insurance premium for it. Was more than the diamond cost, so I have the eating, and now have a nice dark blue sapphire ring instead.
Good news on the Janome, enjoy it!
INDY I'm having a day like you today - no man around LOL --- I had the day to myself sewing with a couple girls, only 2 others came to our group so it was quiet, and I got a lot done. The quilt is in 3 parts, and I have 2 completed, won't take long to finish when I get home.
We are totally packed, and just need to load the car in the morning, the Mr will be antsy and wanting to leave, I plan on washing my hair, so it might be later than he thinks!! I have packed too much of course, seems like the shorter the trip the more clothes you need.
I got a lot of ash form the bank so we don't have to use cards all the time, safer than scanning in strange places, the hotel and motel are on card though but we've used them a number of times before. It's the small restaurants I don't like using cards for so I have plenty of cash.
Dean has come down with a bug, hopefully we won't get it from him, he was here yesterday. So now have packed cold/flu tablets.
It's cold again, and a bit rainy, been really cold all week, and we are not used to it yet, it's been an early start to winter with no lead up to it.
I was sad to hear about Brian Wilson - Beach Boys, one of my favourite bands growing up, we still play their songs on long car trips, so I will make sure we do that tomorrow.

This was todays work, a really easy pattern, you just have to assign a number to each fabric, then join them in sections. It would look better if it was laid out properly instead of tossed on the floor with all the creases LOL

2. ON WHY IT'S SO TOUGH TO PLAY LEFT FIELD IN YANKEE STADIUM: "BECAUSE IT GETS LATE EARLY."
WELL, IT LOOKS LIKE RAIN MAY GET HERE SOONER THAN LATER. PRETTY GRAY OUTDOORS.
NOTHING SPECIAL PLANNED FOR ME YET. I KNOW I WILL READ AND WATCH TV. I HAVE BEEN REWATCHING MANY OF THE 'MURDER SHE WROTE' SHOWS.
I HOPE TO DO SOME SEWING TODAY.
AS FOR COOKING, NOT TODAY. I MADE PORK CHOPS LAST NITE AND HAVE ENOUGH FOR TODAY WITH THE EGG YOLK POTATO SALAD BUT TOOK OUT GROUND BEEF AND STEAK. PLANNING ON SOME STEAK PIZZIAOLA WITH MEATBALLS TOMORROW. HAVEN'T HAD THAT FOR AWHILE AND THE STEAK IN THE SAUCE MAKES IT SO DARN TENDER.
JANET......WOW, I CAN'T BELIEVE THE PRICES OF AUTOS LATELY. EVEN THE USED ONES ARE OUT OF MY LEAGUE. THEY COST MORE THAN MY FIRST HOUSE, THAT'S FOR SURE.
TRISH........LOVE THE COLORS IN YOUR QUILT. ITS NICE THAT SOME OF YOU CONTINUE TO MAKE QUILTS AND SHARE WITH US YOUR TALENT. I HOPE TO JOIN THE GROUP IF MY SEWING MOGO GETS BACK TODAY AND I CAN WORK ON MY LATEST DOOR HANGING.
WISHING YOU ALL A GOOD DAY. HUGS, QB S

Greg has landed in Atlanta! My anxiety shot up when I heard about the Air India crash. They only made it 600 ft. into the air, but the pilot was able to get out a May Day call. All 242 died except one sole survivor. He actually walked away from all the ruble. Would love to know where he was sitting! A miracle for sure.
I'm making 3 ingredients peanut butter cookies. The ingredients are natural peanut butter, Swerve confectioners sugar and one egg. I'm going to add a touch of vanilla this time. Sadie Grace loved them the last time I made them and I let her take them home.
My wedding ring is dull and has paint on the inside, lol! It's 10k gold. Somehow my initial wedding ring set disappeared. No clue what happened to it. I had it in a black jewelry bag and it probably got tossed. I got my Moissanite ring today and it's really pretty. Now to see how long before it tarnishes, lol.
They will tarnish because sterling silver has copper in it. I need to learn how to clean it. I am researching other metals to buy that are more tarnish free like platinum, titanium, 14k gold and there are a few more. This one was $95. I returned one I paid $170 for that was too small. There are a lot of scammers out there. Someone told me to buy a diamond tester and it will let you know if it's genuine Moissanite. A lot of them come with a certificate of authenticity. Think I'll go up on my price and get ones that are more tarnish free.
Janet, that's encouraging news about the RAV4 because initially it was my top pick. I like them because they don't have the turbo engine nor the CVT transmission. I also don't need AWD in Atlanta. I've heard they give better traction in the rain, but no snow here, so not needed. I'm also ok with a 4 cylinder engine. That's what my 2007 Highlander is.
Holly, I'm sure you will have all your chores done and dinner planned so you can spend all day with your Janome S6 when it arrives! It's about the size of my Kenmore Elite.
Greg sent me this picture from the sky in Paris. Can you see the Eiffel Tower?

Trish, nice baby quilt! The lime makes it pop.
Got a call, my machine is in! We’ll go tomorrow and get her. Dealer advised get there before 11, as a no kings rally is at 2 and the town will be impossible to park in. It’s already difficult, I hate going there.
Janet, Ralph really wanted a hybrid truck, and had a deposit of $100 on one, but the price kept rising and when it hit $50k he got his money back.
We went to Webers and had smash burgers for dinner, took our water with us as they only have soda.
This morning I trimmed the latest group of table runners, now I’ll be able to do the quilting/top stitching on my new machine.
I call my 6500 Moose, because she weighs 37 pounds. Considering Elk (Ellie) or Caribou (Carrie) for the new one.
Baby Boone turned 4 months yesterday! Her Pop, my brother Mike, said all the kid does is eat!

We bought my new machine home! She’s too big for the hole in the machine table, so she’ll have to sit on top of the plexiglass, which is fine. Ralph is studying the manual. The town the only dealer in 50 miles is in, is one of those yuppie, trendy, walking towns. At 10 a.m., the sidewalks were jammed, and of course no one looks before they cross the street. I could never live there. Permit parking for side streets, because no driveways. Luckily, the shop has a loading zone with 15 minute parking. And right on the outside of that town is a Krispy Kreme, so we bought donuts. And we came in our driveway just as the rain started. Sigh of relief!
