Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 18 ~ SAT MAY 24

I found fusible batting tape on Amazon. So if you batting isn’t big enough, you can join 2 pieces! Great for using leftover batting for the tablerunners.

I pinned then sewed together the quilt sandwiches for 7 tablerunners! Now to trim them down and turn them right side out, then topstitch/quilt them.

I heard a new term, bungalow legs. It means weak legs because of living in a house with no steps. Interesting.

Nothing else going on here, dinner might be pizza.

Re: ODT SUNDAY MAY 18 ~ SAT MAY 24

We still have our furnace turned on all the time.  It's so cold that it runs every morning for awhile but not during the day or evening.  It's supposed to finally warm up to the 70s by next Friday.

Eating a bit of crow, here...I FOUND the item that I thought got left behind at W-M, in with the pharmacy stuff,   Actually, Howard found it.   Just a small silicone spatula I wanted for turning eggs.  The little ones are hard to find and the big ones are...too big.  So, I'm a happy camper, again, for the time being.

Trish, the eye thing I need is just the follow-up laser for scar tissue that forms after cataract surgery.  No prior prep, no drops, no follow-up, except the same-day re-check.  My bugaboo is the early hour that he does them.  I am not a morning person for more than one reason that is not just being spoiled and petty.  But, I survived the other one and I will this, too.

QB, I'm so glad you have this special alone time with Matt.  It's quite rare with a married son and I know you realize that and cherish it as well.  Sharing seems to be your sort of super-hobby.  Cutting back is reasonable and sometimes just a necessity.   It's a bit like IF you offer to have Thanksgiving  or any other holiday, one year, then it can  be expected  of you, every year.

Trish, those floods sound awful--almost more than I can wrap my head around.  The weather seems to keep us all hopping one way or another, doesn't it?  About mowing at the wrong time...sometimes Howard gets out there too early trying to beat the heat and it's still too wet.
However, along with some of his other quirks, Tom next door, usually mows when it's dark and often raining at the same time.  This is a walk-behind mower, so no lights.   He can be a strange one!   But, we haven't seen him mowing in the nude again!

Janet, sorry to hear about Jerry's fall.  That's alarming.  Glad to hear you're liking the house things you've had done and/or are doing.

I'm off to stick some chicken tenderloins  in the crockpot for supper.  Still need to settle on a recipe so I'd better be off here.
Have a wonderful  Memorial Day weekend.  Blessings to all.

Janet, so sorry to read about Jerry's fall. Hope he has improved some already.

I got on my knees in the bedroom looking for an earring I dropped. If a chair & ottoman were not close by, I don't know how I would have gotten up. I need knee replacement, but not up to another surgery yet.

Trish, my energy has been low since radiation. It has taken me all week to clean out my closet. I got up early this morning to start on my bedroom; I needed to declutter. It is done now except for cleaning the dusty furniture. I admit, it's a chore I neglect doing.

Devonne, just FYI, after a knee replacement you can’t kneel. Well, you can, for a short time, but it hurts so much! I can’t even kneel on the couch.

For dinner, he had a sandwich and I had soup, didn’t feel like pizza. Now, we have to put the sheets back on the bed. With the deep mattress, it’s a major production.
