Bumping up, Happy Sunday everyone!!
Apologies if any one has tried to PM me, my mailbox was so full, just spent a while cleaning it back to only 3 pages, so I should be OK for a while, it does take a while to check weach box, maybe there is an easier way.
REMINDER -- check your mailbox when you can, they mount up, mine were back to 2019

TWO-HEADED HEADLINES......
1. NUNS DROP SUITS; BISHOPS AGREE TO AID THEM.
2. PLANNED PARENTHOOD LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS.
ITS LOVELY OUT THERE TODAY. SUN IS SHINING AND IN THE HIGH 60S.
I HAD A PRETTY WOBBLY DAY YESTERDAY SO DIDN'T ACCOMPLISH MUCH. I MADE BURGERS AND FRIES FOR SUPPER SINCE IT WAS AN EASY MEAL. I HAVE ENOUGH FOR TODAY LEFTOVER.
THIS IS SUPPOSED TO BE MY DAY OF REST BUT I AM BEHIND ON CHORES. I GOT MY TRASH OUT, AND STARTED SOME LAUNDRY. I HAVE DIRTY DISHES IN MY SINK FROM YESTERDAY. I WILL SEE WHAT ELSE I CAN MANAGE TODAY SINCE I AM FEELING BETTER.
I WATCHED THE PREAKNESS STAKES YESTERDAY AND MY FAVORED HORSE, JOURNALISM WON WITH MY ALTERNATE SANDMAN COMING IN THIRD. THEY WERE MY SAME CHOICES IN THE KENTUCKY DERBY WHERE JOURNALISM CAME IN 2ND. THE DERBY WINNER DID NOT SHOW UP FOR THIS RACE AT ALL. I DON'T KNOW THE REASON.
THERE WAS A TERRIBLE BUMP INTO JOURNALISM BY ANOTHER HORSE ON THE TURN BUT HE RECOVERED AND WON. THE HORSE ON HIS OTHER SIDE, ALSO A FAVORED ONE, GENTLY PULLED BACK AFTER THE BATTERING AND CAME IN LAST IN A FIELD OF 9, 31 LENGTHS BEHIND THE WINNER. I HOPE HE'S OK. THE BUMPER CAME IN 4TH.
THE LAST RACE IN THE TRIPLE CROWN IS THE BELMONT STAKES IN A FEW WEEKS.
I HAVE PORK CHOPS DEFROSTED SO I MAY BAKE THOSE WITH SOME POTATOES LATER TODAY. YOU ALL MUST KNOW BY NOW THAT I AM A MEAT AND POTATOES PERSON. I AM TRYING TO EAT MORE VEGGIES AS IN SALADS BUT I DO NOT CARE FOR TOO MANY VEGGIES THOUGH I FIND TOMATOES, CUKES, CELERY, CARROTS, CRISP LETTUCE, ONIONS, ARE ALWAYS GOOD. I ONLY LIKE PEPPERS COOKED SO NEVER IN MY SALADS.
I WISH YOU ALL A FINE AND RESTFUL SUNDAY. HUGS FOR ALL, QB S

Tracy, yikes!
Tricia, I’ve had an ancestry account for years. I started a tree when Joseph died in 2019 because I wanted him on it. I was active for a while, then didn’t do much. I made Manda an admin, and she does a lot on the Garemore side. It was thru Ancestry that the man my mom thought was her bio father, wasn’t.
It’s very windy today, in the 70’s. Nice and sunny, tho. We had lunch at Longhorn with F and C, so we have leftovers.
Devonne, kids sports are ridiculous. I’m so glad none of my girls or grandchildren are into them, tho Jules is baseball manager for her high school, she does the stats in real time for the scoreboard.
There are pix on my blog of the table runner tops that are done so far.
Online!
I've had a tiring weekend. Today I went to visit Greg and Carter and we went car shopping. I drove a Hyundai Tucson and was pleasantly surprised how smooth it drove. I also liked the huge info screen. This week I'll test drive a Subaru Forester and a Honda CR-V.
We had lunch at a new Texas Roadhouse. I always get the herb crusted chicken, caesar salad and veggies, which I never finish.
Offline
Devonne, I love my Tucson. Steph has a Forester and so does my BIL Frank, and they are both happy with theirs. Either would be a good choice. My Tucson had seats that are both heated and air conditioned. And I love the huge moon roof.

NOT FEELING TO GREAT TODAY SO WILL JUST SAY GOOD MORNING.
TALK LATER.
HAVE A GOOD DAY. HUGS, QB S

Good Morning, I'm not feeling too sharp this morning. It is 50* outside and windy, has been raining. Not a day to look forward to!! Rhonda is off today and is taking Frank to the Dr. today at 1:30, Gloria is due here at 11. Strange day!!!
I have no plans for the day, will just let it go by, as usual!! Well, I really don't have anything else to say, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

Good after noon all.
We were hit with terrible winds on Friday and we were without power for 24 hours. We have a generator so Dean got it all hooked up so I did not have to worry about my freezer and frig. The power came back on an hour after all that! lol! Our Spectrum cable/internet was out until midnight last night. It finally came on at 11:55 p.m. So I have some reading here to catch up on.
Sandra, sending prayers for a speedy recover for you. Hope you feel better today. BJ, same to you ((hugs))
Have to go take Aaron for an eye appointment with a specialist. He is having shadows around his retina, so his eye doc wants a specialist.
Will be back later!

Cheryl, glad you got your power back! Thank goodness for generators! We have one that can do our fridge and freezer.
Must be the day for not feeling well. I just felt off this morning. Went back to sleep on the couch and felt better.
Does anyone have accufeed on their sewing machine? Mine does not have it. I was watching a video for a newer Janome with it, and it’s intriguing.
It’s still breezy here. I have to keep the window closed in the sewing room, or the pieces get blown around. It’s nice and sunny out.
Dinner tonight is our Longhorn leftovers.
Trish, it never occurs to me to check for PM’s, but I guess as moderator you’re more likely to get them.
Online!
Add me to the list of those not feeling good today. Started decluttering my closet, but that didn't last long.
Holly, thank you for the car info. I think all the Janome Memory Craft machines have the Acufeed. Pfaff has the IDT, which does the same thing. I know the Janome 6600 has it. That is a very popular Janome machine.
I have a walking foot that is supposed to pull the fabric thru evenly for my older Kenmore Elite and my Brother emb. machine. What is the difference in using a walking foot and the Acufeed/IDT? The only difference I know is it's built into the machine...no attachment required.
Such sad news with the Missouri and Kentucky tornadoes. The death toll was 27 last time I heard. Cheryl, guess that's where your wind came from. Hope Aaron's eye appt. goes well.
Also sad to hear about Joe Biden and his aggressive prostate cancer diagnosis. I hope they can treat it.

Holly, I have the Janome 6600 and it has the accufeed. I love it. It makes machine quilting really easy. I don't do free motion but tried and it was nice too.
Well, I did not get Aaron to his eye specialist; had a medical emergency with Amelia. The school called and said Amelia had fallen from the monkey bars and they called the ambulance and it was taking her to Akron Children's Hospital. So, Aaron cancelled his appt and rescheduled for July. Hopefully he can get in sooner. He went to the hospital to see what was going on with her. He sent a picture and she is laying in the bed with a neck brace on. Said possible fractured clavicle bone. Aaron said she is loving the attention. She does love drama and has zero pain tolerance. Hopefully, nothing is broken and she will just be sore and bruised from the fall. She is not athletic in any sense. I will update later.
Get well all!!!
Offline
Cheryl, yikes! Amary fell off the monkey bars a few years ago and fractured her wrist.
Devonne and Cheryl, I have the Memory Craft 6500, the accufeed started with the 6600. Moose works fine, so I haven’t upgraded. The video I watched was the S6, and it has some cool features. You press a button to take off the plate rather than fooling with screws, the bobbin threads a little different, the accufeed, and I forget what all else. If you’re on Facebook, look up sewing with Jan, she really goes into depth.
I’m done making the tops for the table runners, tomorrow hopefully I’ll start pinning them to the backing and batting.

In the video, she said companies are phasing out the foot pedal in favor of a start/stop button.

SANDRA I do hope you feel better after a night's sleep, maybe you did too much after your wobbles on Sunday ((((hugs)))) rest and stay steady, keep something nearby to lean on if possible, and call for help if you need it. Maybe your meds need a tweak.
CHERYL ouch1! Poor kid, that will be painful, hope she is OK, worrying for Aaron Those darn monkey bars, Megan broke her arm years ago on one, true it WAS her fault, she was showing off and jumping for the high point LOL
DEVONNE those tornados have caused a lot of destruction, hope none of you are affected! I think the walking foot does the same type of thing, just already there, no attachment needed, the walking foot was hard to attach sometimes!
HOLLY I have a Pfaff, so I love my IDT, it really is good, the new Bernina also has a feature that my Pfaff has, when you stop sewing with the needle down the pressure lifts just a tiny bit so you can reposition, I love it, AND my knee lift
One of our ladies has a new Bernini, she was giving it a workout last class, so we found out all this stuff LOL and she is now a convert to the knee lift, I wouldn't have another machine without it, ( the small Pfaff doesn't but I can live with that as it's just for class)
Well -- I bought a new printer, honestly, DON'T --- the new ones are so much harder to set up LOL
Took me over 3 hours, and I am reasonably good with technology, I set up the new iMac in way less time than that.
It's only a small cheap HP, took over 1/2 hour just to get the ink in LOL
It went easier after I deleted the old printer from the computer, but still wouldn't let me finish, kept getting an error message, and to try later, I persevered and eventually it was working, but still don't really know why.
Originally they wanted me to download printer drivers for the HP site, knew I didn't have to but tried anyway, it was going to take over 45 mins to download YIKES!! So stopped it.
I was about to turn everything off and reload the old printer and wait till the weekend and get one of the boys to do it for me when it finally seemed to be working.
The good news is I entered our secure network wifi signal so many times I now remember it by heart and it's 10 random numbers and letters LOL
AND it was incredibly cheap, was listed at a few places for $58, but I went to another and they have a "check this for the lowest price" box, it came up as $43, so I got it LOL The black ink was almost that!!
time for me to shut down and say good night
p.s. I got a message from Julie, they are in Rome, landed last night and this morning already have been to the Trevi fountain and Spanish steps, before having breakfast at the Parthenon at 8am waiting for their time slot of 9am to enter. They must have got up early LOL

Thought I would post before I get off the internet looking at cars. It's so mind boggling! So many vehicles!
Cheryl, hope Amelia is ok.
Trish, we have a chance of numerous severe storms today. I don't like this kind of weather because I don't have a storm shelter.
Holly, a start/stop button for sewing machines, how interesting! I find it hard to get used to in a vehicle instead of a key. Greg said I was out of date, lol.
I have a grocery order coming so I need to hop in the shower before they get here!

Amelia is fine, thank you all. She will be bruised for a while. She was hanging upside down and trying to flip. That girl has no athletic ability, so I don't know why she was doing that. No fractures, no broken bones and her neck is fine. She is with us today instead of going to school. I hate to see what Aaron's bill will be because of the ambulance ride. He lives out of the school district so he will have to pay.
Trish, my machine came with the knee lift and I never got the hang of using it. The same with the stop/start button. I did use the stop/start button when trying free motion, but that was all. I just use the pedal.
Trish, I agree with the new printer! Mine is OLD and just black and white, but I just keep using it. My computer program does not even have a printer code for it, so Dean had to use a "work around" and use a name that is not my printer, but it works.
I need to get to the grocery store today. I want to go before Friday because the stores will be very crowded due to the Memorial Day weekend.
It is pretty chilly here, but the sun is trying to come out, so perhaps it will warm up. Right now it is only 60 degrees. I was going to plant my flowers, but glad I waited now.
Prayers for all those with losses due to the storms. I saw Louisville and Lexington Ky were in the path of new storms this week. Hopefully the storms pass by.

NEWS THAT NEEDS A REWRITE.......
1. GUILT, VENGEANCE, AQND BITTERNESS CAN BE EMOTIONALLY DESTRUCTIVE TO YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN. YOU MUST GET RID OF THEM.
2. AFTER GOVERNOR BALDWIN WATCHED THE LION PERFORM, HE WAS TAKEN TO MAIN STREET AND FED 25 LBS OF RAW MEAT IN FRONT OF THE KEYS THEATER.
ITS CLOUDY BUT NO RAIN EXPECTED TIL THURSDAY. TEMPS IN THE HIGH 50S DAYS, AND LOW 40S NITES.
THANK YOU FRIENDS, I AM BETTER TODAY. I HAD A TEMPORARY MEDS PROBLEM. CALLED MY DR AND I AM FINE TODAY. I DID MY LAPS, WORKED ON MY JIGSAW PUZZLE, AND AM HAVING A BIG SALAD FOR LUNCH TODAY. IT SURE FEELS GOOD TO FEEL GOOD. I'LL BE ABLE TO GO TO CRIBBAGE THIS AFTERNOON.
DEVONNE......I HOPE YOU FIND YOUR NEW CAR SOON.
LINDA......WISHING YOU A BETTER DAY TODAY. I KNOW YOU HAVE PROBS TO DEAL WITH ALMOST ON A DAILY BASIS. PRAYERS AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS ARE WINGING THEIR WAY TO YOU.
CHERYL......YIKES, SO SORRY FOR AMELIA'S ACCIDENT. I HOPE SHE IS ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY. DID YOU LEARN WHAT DAMAGE SHE DID TO HERSELF ON THE MONKEY BARS?
I HOPE AARON GETS AN EARLIER APPT THAN JULY. ITS A SHAME HE HAD TO CANCEL HIS DUE TO AMELIA'S FALL. CROSSING MY FINGERS HERE.
TRISH.....THANKS FOR MOANING ABOUT YOUR NEW PRINTER. I WAS THINKING OF GETTING ONE BUT I CHANGED MY MIND. ITS NOT A NECISSITY. SINCE I HAVE A LOW TECHY BRAIN, I DO NOT NEED THE HASSLE.
I KNOW THAT PRINTERS ARE ALWAYS PRETTY CHEAP. ITS THE INK THAT ROBS YOUR POCKETBOOK.
HOLLY......GREAT JOB ON THE TABLERUNNERS. THAT IS SO GOOD OF YOU.
TO THOSE OTHERS OF YOU NOT FEELING YOUR BEST, I HOPE TODAY IS BETTER FOR YOU. IT SEEMS THAT WE SUFFERED A REALLY BLUE MONDAY AMONG OUR GROUP.

I used to look forward to the games…baseball mostly. My son was very involved from t ball up through his high school baseball. DD ran track…she was like lightening but once she became a “celeb” she quit. Go figure? When she played soft ball no one could beat her to first base. Again quit when people made a big deal over her.
I wish I could turn back the clock to those days….😢
