Good Morning to everyone!! It is a gorgeous day outside. The sun is shining brightly, no breeze at all. The sky is so blue with lots of white clouds. It is 49 degrees outside. I have no plans for the day, just lazing around, I guess.

ITS A RAINY DAY HERE ONCE AGAIN. MY DAY OF REST BUT PUTER WOES MEAN I WILL TURN IT OFF AND RESTART IT TODAY TO GET OUT THE KINKS. BUT THAT'S LATER.

I CHOSE 2 HORSES IN THE DERBY: SANDMAN BECAUSE OF MY NAME AND JOURNALISM BECAUSE I WORKED MAINLY FOR NEWSPAPERS MY WHOLE LIFE AND I KNEW HE DID WELL HIS LAST 5 RACES. WELL, JOURNALISM CAME IN 2ND TO THE WINNER WHICH I WILL NOT NAME IN CASE ANYONE HAS YET TO WATCH THE RACE, AND SANDMAN CAME IN 6TH. NOT TOO BAD IN A FIELD OF 19 HORSES BUT STILL NOT A WINNER.
IT WAS A MESSY DAY FOR LOVELY HATS AND COSTUMES AND A SLOPPY TRACK. THE HORSES AND JOCKEYS WERE COVERED WITH MUD WHEN THE RACE WAS DONE.

ITS MY DAY OF REST AND I THINK THAT'S ALL I WILL BE DOING TODAY. NOTHING PLANNED. I DISLIKE RAINY DAYS. I AM HOPING FOR SOME NICE SUNSHINE IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS SO OUR GARDEN WILL BLOOM WITH COLOR.

Happy Star Wars Day!
Cheryl, I also brown my ground beef then bag and freeze. Because I forgot to get meatloaf mix, I designated 2 of the one pound packages to be for meatloaf mix. We got home from lunch with F And C, and I browned the other four pounds, they are cooling now.

It’s dark, dreary and occasional showers. I showered last night, and it was great to get all the betadine off. The steri strips are beginning to be annoying.

I made spaghetti today for lunch. I've been watching my calories, but today wasn't one of those days, lol.

Hi all

so sorry to be missing, life got crazy around here, hopefully back to normal now

We had our election on Saturday, my team got beat LOL a bit depressing, but the voters have spoken, so we just have to deal with it.

We also had Megan's birthday dinner last night, most restaurants around here are closed Monday nights and she was wanting Chinese takeaway for her birthday so we had it last night instead. It was really good, we could have gone to a club or pub but she wanted Chinese, so her birthday was a day early LOL Can you believe my oldest is now 48, seems like just a few years back she was 21. It's gone fast.

I have been busy making little easter and scrap boxes to take to quilt camp, it's quite a way off, but I wanted to get moving on them, the boxes are easy, just a bit fiddly to sew around the stiff shape. there are 28 going this year, so I wanted one for everyone. They don't know, even Julie doesn't know I am doing them, was it to be surprise. Apart from the small amount of fusible for the shapes ( and it's so cheap ) plus a little heat'n'bond for the coasters it's all stash busting, even the batting for the coasters, and I finished them today, they are cute, I'll take a pic of them tomorrow.

I get a giggle every time I hear about the temps there, you guys are now getting hot, and we have cold temps. Quite cold at night, but a bit of late summer tomorrow and the next day, then we are back to highs of around 75, perfect for me, love it.

My cough has kept me away from training, hoping to get there tomorrow, it's almost gone now, I know it will start up with exercise, but I need to get out and do it.

SANDRA I am sorry your friend Michelle had another episode, poor thing, I know you care for all those around you. I didn't know about the Derby, it didn't make our news.

INDY that is so sad about that young girl, sincere sympathy to you and yours. People really don't read the labels, some over the counter stuff is really quite dangerous mixed with other things, because I have a =19.5pxProlia injection for osteoporosis our pharmacy is asking me to take advantage of free Vit D - I finally relented and got a bottle, but I see the Dr next week, so will run it by him first, don't want it to mess with anything else I take, and he's the best one to know. They really should know at the pharmacy, but they don't know all my issues, and the Dr does LOL

HOLLY glad you went well with the procedure, fast and easy, perfect. I often have a reaction to the sticky stuff they use for attaching the pads for an ECG, I itch for days, hope you can survive the steri strips.

DEVONNE sometimes you just need to have the spaghetti, LOL enjoy it, I do lots of grated veg in mine, and I like Hokkein noodles sometimes instead of pasta
My eyes are bothering me tonight, too much close sewing I think, I need to watch the needle closely when doing the zig-zag on the coasters to make sure I stop at the points in the right place.
Time to get ready for bed!

ANOTHER GRAY AND RAINY DAY HERE. I'M HOPING FOR SUNSHINE SOON.
HAD PROBLEMS WITH PUTER YESTERDAY BUT FIXED IT AND NOW ITS WORKING BETTER THAN USUAL. I THINK KEEPING IT SET TO OPEN AT MY EMAIL SITE INSTEAD OF ODT IS HELPING THE CASE. IT OPENS QUICKER. KEEPING MY FINGERS CROSSED IT CONTINUES ITS GOOD SERVICE.

TODAY I PLAN TO COOK A BIT. I'M THINKING MASHED POTATOES FOR A FEW HERE AND ME. I ENJOY THEM A LOT. AS TO CASSEROLES, I AM CUTTING BACK ON THOSE. I HOPE, TOO, TO GET BACK TO SEWING TODAY. I WANT TO FINISH A COUPLE OF THINGS.

I KEEP MY A/C SET AT 73. IT SEEMS TO BE THE IDEAL TEMP FOR ME THRU THE WHOLE DAY AND THE NITE WHEN I PUT A LIGHT SHEET OVER ME. IF I KEEP MY FEET COZY AT NITE, THE REST OF ME FEELS MORE COMFORTABLE.

Good Morning to everyone!! I'm feeling a bit lazy this morning. Today is one of my granddaughter's(Larissa's) birthday. She's such a sweetie.

It is so still outside, 48*. The wind is really blowing up high, but fairly still down low. It is really beautiful out, the sun is so bright. Well, I really don't have a thing to say this morning, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

Another gray day here, too, upper 60’s.

I spent the whole morning between the phone and the computer. Paid the bills online, easy peasy. primary doc office wanted me to set up a patient portal, gave me a card with instructions, but the site wanted a code. Called and a very nice lady talked me thru setting it up, which was slow and annoying. NP wants an ultrasound of my legs, called and got that appointment for this Thursday. Then they wanted me to set up their patient portal, to fill out the health history. Site was slow and annoying. So two more portals, two more passwords. Why can’t they have a universal one, that all the docs can see everything? I guess that would be too easy. I still have one more appointment to set up, but Iwas so frustrated that it can wait til tomorrow.

So instead I called brother Mike and chatted, then we had bagels for lunch. Dinner is going to be tacos, since it’s Cinco de Mayo.

I forgot about today being Cinco de Mayo. I had leftover spaghetti, lol.

I had my wellness check today and when my dr. gave me the bloodwork papers, I thought I was supposed to give it to the lab tech. No...I was supposed to turn it in at the front desk! Everyone in the lab left & went to lunch. It's only 3 miles from the house, so I went back at 1:30.

Why are the scales at the doctor's office always more than your scale at home? Which one do you believe, lol?

2. CITY MAY IMPOSE MANDATORY TIME FOR PROSTITUTION.

ANOTHER DREARY DAY HERE IN THE NORTH COUNTRY. MY ENERGY JUST FLIES OUT THE WINDOW ON DAYS LIKE THIS.

WHEN I GO TO MY DRS I STEP ON THE SCALE ON THE WAY TO THE EXAM ROOM SO AM DRESSED. SOMETIMES I SLIP OUT OF MY SHOES IF I CAN, BUT SOMETIMES NOT. THERE ARE ALWAYS A FEW POUNDS BETWEEN MY HOME SCALE AND THE DR SCALE DUE TO CLOTHING, SHOES, LINT IN MY NAVEL.

AWAITING SALLY THE LIBRARIAN WITH MY NEW MONTHLY BOOK. I HAVE A COUPLE OF PAPERBACKS TO GIVE HER IN THE BOOKBAG FOR THEIR BOOK SALE COMING UP.
TODAY I AM THINKING OF MAKING A MEATBALL SUB SO HAVE TO GET MY BREAD CRUMBLED FOR THE MEATBALLS. I HAVE A FEW MORE LONG ITALIAN SAND. ROLLS TO USE UP.
A BIT OF TIME ON THE JIGSAW I THINK, ALSO.

GOOD AFTERNOON!

OVER THE WEEKEND MY FEET VERE SWOLLEN. COULD NOT FIGURE WHAT CAUSED IT. KNOW I ATE OUT 3 TIMES BUT DON'T THINK CONSUMED ANYTHING VERY DIFFERENT. KEPT MY FEET UP SUNDAY AND MONDAY AND MUCH BETTER. BEING CAREFUL OF WHAT I EAT. NEVER USE A LOT OF SALT, BUT LIMITING IT MORE.

A LITTLE COOLER THIS WEEK. MORE NORMAL FOR THIS TIME OF YEAR.

THINKING OF EVERYONE. PRAYERS...........

The guys are here replacing my dead sod. I only did what needed to be done to save money, which was half of the yard. I have to be sure to water it faithfully twice a day.

Linda, is the swelling because you walked more than normal?

My ex-SIL (we still call each other sisters) got an offer from a developer to buy her house; cash offer and they pay closing. The house was built in 1973 (Billy's brother did a lot of the work himself). It's on 2.5 acres. They are buying all the old houses on her street and building homes worth millions. Her house will be bulldozed. She can leave anything she doesn't want in the house. She accepted their offer and has found another house she has put an offer on. So happy for her! She will be 81 in December and its the perfect time for them to move. She has been remarried for 28 years. I'm so happy for them!

We had our tacos for taco Tuesday. I had an unopened container of sour cream in the fridge drawer, and it exploded in the drawer!

Still haven’t gotten the t showers the weather people have been threatening all week, but it’s nice today. Today is the first of 100 days with a sunset past 8 pm!

Devonne, it’s sad that more McMansions are being built rather than houses regular people can afford. I keep reading about people leaving Jersey, but there are so many apartments and townhouses going up! Luckily, my town is pretty much out of land, but the next town over is having hundreds of units built.

You guys realize that you can decline to get weighed at the doc office, right? I tell them it’s none of DHS’s business. And the last “Medicare” physical, they wanted me to draw a clock face, so I did a digital one.

Yes, Holly, I knew that. Tried it once and felt so guilty that I've always just let them weigh me since. It's a real stressor and the main reason I dread going to the doctor. Of course, the skinny people don't care. It's us fluffy girls that do. And, yes, Devonne, I always weigh more there too.

We drove 3 miles to the post office. I needed to return some shoes I got from QVC. I cannot keep on slides or mules or whatever you call them. I always walk out of them. Should have remembered that and will from now on. We came right back home. It's lovely to see all the trees leafed out again. Beautiful. The robin with the nest in our bush by the front step is sitting on her two eggs. She flies away and objects loudly when we use the front door.

TODAY IS BEDBUG INSPECTION DAY. THOSE CUTE LITTLE DOGS COME AND SMELL AROUND YOUR BED AND IT TAKES ALL OF 15 SECONDS. ITS THE WAITING I DON'T LIKE. WE HAVE TO TURN OFF ANY FANS OR A/C UNITS AND BE SURE ALL FOOD IS LOCKED UP AND OUT OF THE WAY BEFORE THEY ARRIVE. I AM ONE HOT BABY ALREADY SO I AM NOT HAPPY. THEY CAN ONLY GIVE A TIME OF 8 TO 4 SO THEY CAN COME ANYTIME AND IN THE MEANTIME MY APT IS GETTING HOTTER. UGH.

WE PLAYED CRIBBAGE YESTERDAY AS PARTNERS SINCE THERE WERE 4 OF US. ONE GAL IS STILL LEARNING AND JUST CAN'T SEEM TO UNDERSTAND THE INSTRUCTIONS AND COUNTING. WE ALL TRY TO HELP HER ALONG. SHARON IS A GREAT GAL SO I WILL TRY TO GIVE HER SOME PRIVATE INSTRUCTION BEFORE NEXT WEEK'S GAMES. I LEARNED THE GAME OVER 50 YEARS AGO AND AFTER WATCHING IT LAST WEEK MOST OF THE RULES CAME BACK TO ME. YESTERDAY I DID WELL. ITS GOING TO BE A WEEKLY THING NOW, EVERY TUESDAY AFTERNOON AT 1:30. I AM SO GLAD I ASKED A NEIGHBOR WHO PLAYS IT IF SHE WOULD SHOW US HOW TO PLAY. WE HAD A FUN TIME AND ITS GOING TO BE A REGULAR DATE.
TONITE IS BINGO NITE. I HOPE I WIN A BIT THIS TIME. ANOTHER GOOD TIME FOR RESIDENTS. THIS PLACE IS IMPROVING. THEN CRAFT MORNING ON THURSDAYS. THE ONLY THING I DON'T GET TO VERY OFTEN IS COFFEE MORNING ON TUESDAYS. IT STARTS TOO EARLY FOR ME. I AM JUST WAKING UP, AFTER GOING TO BED IN THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING, WHEN THEY ARE CHATTING. IT TAKES ME A WHILE TO GET MY MOTOR IN GEAR FOR THE DAY SO SOMETIMES I JUST ARRIVE LATE AND THERE ARE ONLY A COUPLE OF LADIES LEFT SINCE THEY LIKE TO TALK. OR I SKIP IT ENTIRELY.

Good Morning to everyone. It's sort of a dreary day outside and quite still. There's quite a bit of blue sky, though, and a bit of a breeze. I really don't have any plans for the day, will just be sitting around and watching TV. Not much of a day.
