Up early. I have an 8 o’clock appointment for an oil change. What was I thinking? And how did this become my job?
Wednesday the same time to get the truck inspected.

Good Morning!
Couldn't go back to sleep again. At least not as early as yesterday.
Thinking of everyone. Prayers...............

Good Morning to everyone!! It has been raining here, but stopped fortunately. Of course, everything is wet. Can't believe it is almost May. Hope you all are doing well. I can't think of anything else to say, so will sign off, BJ.

Dermatologist appointment this morning for skin check. She froze an area on the bridge of my nose and biopsied an area on my cheek. Traffic was ridiculous going there.
Nice out, going to be almost 80!
Dinner will be the leftovers from the diner yesterday. Turkey, stuffing, mash and corn.

I TOOK A SHORT WALK IN THE GARDENS TODAY AND SAT ON A BENCH BY THE BRIDGE WATCHING THE TRAFFIC PASSING BY. WITH THE ROAD BEING BLACK-TOPPED JUST UP THE STREET, THERE WAS MORE TRAFFIC THAT NORMAL. THE SUN IS LOVELY AND THE AIR BRIGHT AND CLEAN. THE FLOWERS ARE STILL MINIMAL IN OUR GARDEN. SOME JONQULS AND NOW A FEW DAFFODILS ARE POPPING THRU THE SOIL. NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOR TONY IS WORKING IN HIS 2 GARDEN BEDS ADDING COMPOST AND RAKING THEM. HE'S NOT PLANTING YET. AROUND HERE OUR NORMAL LAST FROST DATE IS A BIT PAST MEMORIAL DAY, MAY 30TH, SO THERE'S STILL PLENTY OF TIME.
MY NEIGHBOR MICHELE BROUGHT ME A QUART OF FRESH STRAWBERRIES YESTERDAY SO I HAD SOME WITH COOL WHIP LAST NITE. ITS A NICE CHANGE FROM OTHER FRUITS.
I WORKED ON MY JIGSAW FOR AWHILE, TOO. ITS COMING ALONG.
MADE 2 PORK CHOPS WITH BAKED TATER TOTS AND SWEET CORN SUPPER AND HAVE ENUF FOR TONITE AS WELL. STILL DEBATING ON HOW TO USE MY DEFROSTED HAMBURG.
I JUST GOT A PACKAGE FROM BITS AND PIECES SO I GUESS MY 8 NEW JIGSAW PUZZLES ARE HERE. I AM EAGER TO START A GNOME ONE SO NEED TO GET THE OTHER ONE FINISHED IN A HURRY.
I WISH YOU ALL A GOOD DAY.

A nice-warm-windy day here. We paid bills this morning. Are heading to the grocery store in a bit. Have Rxs to pick up at W-M, but probably will do that another day. We need to change things up a bit and get out of here more now that the weather is good. At least that's my thought for today.
Mary Leigh seems to think that napping ruins her chances for sleeping at night. I think, SO WHAT? Seems to me that when youre that deprived, sleep is sleep. Under other circumstances, I would be telling her that, but she's so touchy right now, I just keep it to myself. She does seem to have found the right doctor but time will tell. She sent the doc a text this morning updating her and felt comfortable doing that. Thanks for the concern and suggestion...
Glad to catch up with all of you. Keeps me grounded if that's the right word--meaning--familiar friends doing normal things and living life. Not meaning to sound maudlin, just grateful.
The ribs were quite good for something pre-cooked. We add our own BBQ sauce that we prefer. Got three servings out of them, so a bargain of sorts.
Well Howard's prowling around waiting for me so I'd better close this. Have a good rest of the day.

Judy, as a past night shifter I can tell you that sleep is good any time you can get it! My watch monitors my sleep. I get about 6 hours at night and two in the afternoon. The Spanish have the right idea with their siestas!

Janet, I forgot to mention your comment about saying I do and it means I do everything. I thought that was so funny, lol!
I feel a little better today. Got in almost 2,500 steps and that's a lot for me, esp. in the last four days.
I made pork chops in the air fryer from a new YT recipe. They were really good. One of my favorite things to cook in the air fryer is tater tots. They are always so crispy.

Funny…I don’t have an air fryer nor a crock pot.

THESE STRANGE WARNING LABELS......
1. PRODUCE: NYTOL SLEEPING PILLS.
LABEL: MAY CAUSE DROWSINESS.
2. PRODUCT: CHAIN SAW.
LABEL: DO NOT HOLD THE WRONG END OF THE CHAIN SAW.
SUNNY AND IN THE 60S FOR TODAY. RAIN COMING THIS WEEKEND. THESE TEMPS ARE NICE.
JANET.......I DO HAVE AN AIR FRYER AND A CROCK POT BUT NEVER USE THEM. I USE MY STOVETOP, OVEN, TOASTER OVEN FOR BAKING A CHICKEN BREAST OR PORK CHOPS, AND MY MICROWAVE FOR REHEATING LEFTOVERS. NO ROOM ON MY SMALL KITCHEN COUNTER SPACE SO THE OTHER 2 ITEMS ARE IN THE CLOSET AND I HATE GETTING THEM OUT.
WE HAVE OUR APTS INSPECTED TOMORROW SO I HAVE BEEN MOVING THINGS AROUND A BIT AND RE-ORGANIZING. WE MUST HAVE EGRESS FROM A WINDOW IN EACH OUTSIDE ROOM SO NOTHING MUST BLOCK IT. I'M OK WITH THAT BUT I HAVE SO MUCH STUFF FOR MY PROJECTS I NEEDED TO PUT THEM ELSEWHERE SO THEY ARE OUT OF SIGHT. I LIKE THEM OUT WHERE I CAN SEE THEM SO DO A QUICK FIX OR ADD A BIT WHEN I HAVE TIME BUT FOR THE INSPECTION I CAN HIDE THEM FOR A DAY.
ITS BINGO FOR ME TONITE LADIES SO WISH ME LUCK. I DID PRETTY WELL LAST WEEK. THE REGULAR CALLER WILL BE BACK TONITE SO I CAN JUST CONCENTRATE ON PLAYING.
THAT'S IT. THINGS TO DO. TIL TOMORROW MY FRIENDS. HUGS, QB S

Paid the property tax-ouch! Picked up Rx. Went to Aldi, it’s German week so they had frozen apple strudel and frozen soft pretzels, got a few boxes of each.
Electricians coming this afternoon to add an outlet, and figure out why if the microwave is on and he turns on the keurig, it blows the circuit, and do something to the outlets in the laundry room.
For $20 at the diner, I got soup (ate there) salad (brought home) turkey (brought 11 oz home, plus ate some there) with gravy, double order mashed potatoes, stuffing, and a piece of cheesecake (brought home). Do day I, I ate there. Day 2 we both ate some of everything. Day 3, today, there’s probably one serving of turkey and mash left. Nothing like a Jersey diner!
Steph is in Reno for work, hotel room on the 14th floor. 6:30 a.m. the emergency alarm goes off! She has a fire app, because of her job, checked and only 1 fire truck dispatched, so she got dressed before walking down 14 flights! What a way to start the day!

Well, that's a new one! I was gaily typing a long and instead of the flash and disappearance, it jumped to my yesterday's post?????? Of course the current one was gone.
Holly, whether home cooked or store bought, leftovers are simply put, a GOOD thing! Poor Steph, and at that hour of the morning. But, maybe better than the wee hours.
I've never been a napper until now. Not everyday, but I give in to one when I feel the need. Howard, is a seasoned napper. He can fall asleep easily, including when he's driving. Thus, I am alert and on point in the car, always. The good thing, he's not belligerent or possessive about being the driver if that happens.
Well, I finally have something to tell you that isn't chit chat. I never had measles (or mumps) as a child. Only rubella and chicken pox, both very mild cases. Soooo with all this news about measles and the spread of it, etc. I've been thinking I should get the immunity test, which I did yesterday on the way to town. Had my blood drawn. Got a call from my doctor's asst. a few minutes ago and I do have immunity. She said when she asked the doc, he said if you were born before 1957, you have immunity because of the widespread occurrence of measles, but if I wanted the test they would send the order. I just figured if I somehow got it, at my age it would surely do me in!
Have fun, tonight, QB. Hope you recoup some of the money you lost for awhile.
Going to find something for lunch. Howard is heating up the deli fried chicken from yesterday.

The oncologist today mentioned another drug I could take, along with Tamoxifen, to help prevent recurrence. It's stronger and can cause heart problems, nausea and a list of other side effects. I chose not to take it.
Sandra, sorry about your loss.
Judy, I don't remember if I had measles/mumps or not and no one is still alive for me to ask. If it gives you peace of mind, it's worth getting the test.

ANOTHER LOVELY DAY IN THE LOWS 60S AND SUNNY. LOVING THIS WEATHER.
I LOST $4 LAST NITE AT BINGO. I WISH I WOULD WIN MORE BUT IT WAS A FUN AND CHATTY NITE SO ITS OK.
WE HAD OUR APT. INSPECTION TODAY. MY APT IS FINE EXCEPT THEY WOULD LIKE TO UPDATE A WINDOW BLIND WITH A MODERN VERSION AND ADD 1 LIGHT BULB IN MY BATHROOM SET WHICH WENT OUT. OTHERWISE ALL IS GOOD HERE.
I WENT TO CRAFT MORNING AND WORKED ON RUFFLE ADDITIONS TO MY VICTORIAN LADIES. THEN 3 OF US FINISHED OFF THE LAST JIGSAW PUZZLE SO I COULD START MY NEW "SPRING GNOMES' PUZZLE. WE DECIDED THAT WE WOULD PLAY CRIBBAGE ON TUESDAY AFTERNOONS REGULARLY. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME.
I LEARNED THAT MY NEIGHBOR MICHELLE, WHO WAS JUST FINE LAST NITE AT BINGO, WAS TAKEN TO HOSPITAL BY THE EMTs. SOMEONE SAID THEY THINK SHE HAD A STROKE. I DIDN'T SEE HER LEAVING. THEY SAID SHE WAS LAID OUT ON A STRETCHER THIS TIME. THE POOR THING HAS BEEN HAVING SO MANY ISSUES BUT IT SEEMED THE P.T. WAS HELPING HER.
THAT'S MY LITTLE WORLD HERE IN THE NORTH COUNTRY. I HOPE YOU ARE ALL HAVING A DECENT DAY TODAY. HUGS, QB S

Good Morning to everyone, gosh it's 11:34, so almost afternoon!! Tracy and Larissa are here so we've been sitting around talking and had a very late breakfast. It's a beautiful day, sun is out and it is very still. Think we're going for a ride after a bit. Larissa took a shower and Tracy is in there now, so it won't be long.
Larissa has a birthday, so wrote her a check. She's so sweet. Well, I guess I'd better run as we're going for a ride. Have a wonderful day, everyone, BJ.

BJ, how nice that your girls are going to take you for a ride. Maybe you can get some ice cream while you are out!
Sandra, sorry your bingo games didn’t end with a win. But, as you said, you still had a fun evening. It sounds like you keep your apartment well cared for.
I think I had all of the childhood diseases - measles, mumps, chicken pox. I specifically remember having to miss the last day of school because of chicken pox when I was in about 2nd or 3 rd grade. I went to a one room school and the last day was always filled with fun and games with a family pot luck dinner so I was really upset to miss it.
Devonne, Lynn took several months of an oral chemo after all of her other treatments but I can’t remember the name of it. Her oncologist highly recommended it because her cancer was stage 3. She said her only side effect was tiredness.
This is the only day this week that I don’t have some place to go. I’m still not finished with the latest Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt so am working on that. It has soooo many little pieces! I love her designs and her directions are the best I have ever seen. But I don’t think I will do the next mystery, they take so much time.

Sandra, congrats on your win! Do you have to pay for the new blinds, or does management? I’m sorry your friend was taken out on a stretcher.
I have to be at Cooper Hospital in Camden at 6 a.m. tomorrow for the loop recorder replacement. Heather is picking us up around 5. Yikes, we’ll set the alarm for 4 a.m.
My TV wouldn’t change channels today, and the cable guide wouldn’t come up. Ralph did a text chat with Comcast, they tried reprogramming the remote, no go. They could mail one, or we could pick it up. So we went to get new guts for the cable, and scheduled a tech to come Saturday, because this is the 4th time in 6 months! Then we drove to the Amish Market, since we were halfway there. I was getting low on ground beef and chicken, so I got 5 lbs of chicken tenders and 6 lbs of ground sirloin, along with 2 pounds of pepperoni. And 2 soft pretzels made right there. On the way home we went thru the drive thru at Chick Filet, so our bellies are full! And my knees are screaming enough!
