Just a quick Good Morning to everyone!! Tracy is still sleeping so I won't take my shower until she gets up. Not sure about Frank, seems pretty quiet in his bedroom, so I'll just stay away until I hear some movement. Hope you all have a wonderful day, BJ.

SIGNS OF THE TIMES.......
1. ON A LONG-ESTABLISHED NEW MEXICO DRY CLEANING STORE: THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS ON THE SAME SPOT.
2. IN A LOS ANGELES DANCE HALL: GOOD CLEAN DANCING EVERY NIGHT BUT SUNDAY.
ITS VERY GRAY TODAY. RAIN IS EXPECTED.
ITS MY DAY OF REST BUT I WORKED ON MY JIGSAW PUZZLE. I WANT TO GET STARTED ON ANOTHER. TOO MUCH TIME TAKEN ON THIS ONE BUT THERE WERE DAYS IN A ROW THAT I JUST COULD NOT HANDLE IT. NOW I FEEL BETTER SO HOPE TO GET OUT THERE EVERY DAY AND HOPE TO FINISH SOON.
BJ......ENJOY YOUR VISIT WITH YOUR GIRLS
HOLLY,.....CASSEROLES ARE SO EASY. YOU CAN MAKE ONE WITH JUST ABOUT ANYTHING YOU HAVE ON HAND AND IT COMES OUT GREAT. THAT'S WHY I MAKE SO MANY OF THEM FOR ME AND MY NEIGHBORS.
GOOD FOR YOU ON MAKING THOSE CROCHETED HATS FOR YOUR FRIEND LOSING HER HAIR. I KNOW THEY WILL BE APPRECIATED.
MARYLOU.........MY SON WOULD TAKE ME SHOPPING IF I WANTED TO GO BUT TO TELL THE TRUTH, I GET WOBBLY NOW AND THEN AND DON'T WANT TO GO ANYWHERE. I KNOW THEY HAVE THOSE ELECTRIC SCOOTERS, BUT I JUST DON'T FEEL LIKE GOING. MY BALANCE IS AN ISSUE. ITS BAD ENOUGH WHEN I HAVE TO GO TO DR APPTS.
DEVONNE.....GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR HEALTH. YOU SEEM TO BE DOING ALL THE RIGHT THINGS. AS FOR GETTING OUT TO THE GRSON'S BALLGAMES, I APPLAUD YOU. SITTING ON THOSE BENCHES WOULD WRECK ME. I HAVE TO BRING A PILLOW TO THE BINGO GAMES AND OUR CHAIRS THERE ARE PRETTY NICE.
MY SON IS BRINGING ME LUNCH TODAY. ITS PART OF MY BIRTHDAY GIFT. IT WILL ALSO BE NICE TO SEE HIM AFTER HIS CANCUN VACATION. NO SHOPPING THO TIL NEXT WEEKEND.
MY GRDAU'S CLEANING FOR ME ON TUESDAY IS ALSO SUPPOSED TO BE PART OF MY BIRTHDAY GIFT SO I DO NOT HAVE TO PAY HER.
SOMETIMES BIRTHDAYS CAN BE SOOOO NICE.
THAT'S IT LADIES. REST, TV, SOLITAIRE, AND EATING LUNCH ON MU MENU TODAY. HUGS TO YOU ALL. QB S

Another dreary day here, cloudy with rain tonight. Better than snow.
Ralph, Heather and Eddie brought the Handiquilter up from the basement for me about a month ago, we set it up in the dining room and moved the dining room table (aka junk collector) to the sunroom. I had it serviced last year, but haven’t used it since 2017 or so. So I’ve watched a bunch of videos, got it threaded, and loaded an old practice piece. I got ambitious enough today to do some stitching, and the tension seems good. I picked out a quilt top that I’m not crazy about, and ironed it. Found a big piece of fabric for backing and measured it. The knees had enough by then, so I haven’t cut or ironed it. But I feel like progress has been made, yay! Now I’m sitting with my feet up for a bit, before we leave for lunch with F and C. Italian food this week.

THANK YOU ALL for bringing up the new week, we just got so busy, party for his sis yesterday, I was exhausted when we got home, today has been physio, then cleaning this pigsty and finally taking time to get a coffee and come here!!
The party went well, sis was her usual self, we got there to dress her properly ( the staff had a dirty t-shirt on her - they knew she was going out GRRRR!!!! ) I dressed her, then the trolley came for morning tea, well she wasn't leaving without her tea LOL so another delay. got her there, and she was happy so see family she hasn't seen in a very long time, I think more than a few quite shocked at how she has deteriorated. But she is really still going very well
There was way too much food of course, and the SisIL who hasn't spoken to me for over 30 yrs (apart from Hello & Goodbye at the funerals) still hasn't spoken to me, or I to her to be honest, which is totally fine with me. The rest of the family were on their best behaviour LOL
SANDRA that is a thoughtful gift from your family, a gift in kind is better than anything I think. YAHOO on the Bingo!!!
I agree on the casseroles, we have them a bit more in winter time. i usually make a big Mussaman beef curry the boys like, they are going away at Easter except for John, Megan says she will drive her car as well, so she can come home if she needs - she overdid it a bit last week, and is sore and sorry the last few days, so she is being good and doing nothing today.
INDY I hope H is feeling better, the old Vicks on the feet sometimes helps coughing, can you get that??
Janet sorry about the flat, hope you didn't do any damage to the rims, do you have a car service to change?? We have road side assist on all our cars, if I service with the dealer they pay for it every year, the car is over 10yrs now and they still pay LOL
I want to get some veg sorted for dinner, I won a meat tray at the pub on Friday night, we had the Wagyu burgers on Sat night, they were delicious so hoping the other meat is just as good, it was cheap enough anyway, $10 for the tickets and at least $40 of meat LOL
We are having another beautiful sunny day, warm, not hot, and it will be cool tonight, just perfect, I will enjoy this weather while it lasts.

Today starts a full week of radiation treatment; every day at 11 am. I wanted early appts. in case I wanted to go shopping or just get home earlier.
Sandra, I don't sit on those metal bleachers. I take a nice fold out chair, which is very comfortable.
I still am on the hunt for my Warranty Deed and settlement papers where I paid cash for my house. Last night I went in my sewing room and prayed for help to find them. I found them within 10 minutes! They were on a table under some Christmas blocks in a folder. Did you know the County doesn't return the original to you anymore, so a copy is fine, which she had sent me.
Sandra, getting out would be good for you. If you don't want to go shopping and use the scooter, ask Matt to take you for a drive; some place you would like to see again. Right now I am a hermit, trying to protect myself from getting sick during these treatments. After this is over, I will get out more.
The rain has finally ended and I am so glad it won't be raining when I leave.

GOOD MORNING!
RAING HARD AT THE MOMENT. WE NEED SOME RAIN, BUT NOT A FLOOD.
CAN NOT BELIEVE I WAS FIRST YESTERDAY. NOT SURE THAT HAD EVER HAPPENED.
DEVONNE, BEST WISHES AS YOU HAVE THESE TREATMENTS. YOU MAY BE A LITTLE TIRED. DARRELL HAD 44 RADIATION TREATMENTS. HE DROVE HIMSELF TO EVERYONE. WISE TO GUARD YOUR HEALTH. ((((HUGS)))).....TRISH, GLAD MEGAN IS BETTER. HER STRENGTH AND ENDURANCE SHOULD IMPROVE WITH TIME.
BJ, HOPE YOU AND YOURS ARE DOING WELL.
THERSA, THINK OF YOU AND YOUR MOM OFTEN. YOUR FAMILY AS WELL. GLAD LUKE IS BACK TO WORK AND HE STAYS WITH FORREST SERVICE, IF THAT IS HIS WISH..
MY SIS STILL HAS MY LAPTOP. PROBABLY WOULD NOT BE USING IT, BUT YOU KNOW IT IS WHEN IT IS NOT HERE.
I AM SURE I SHOULD HAVE MENTIONED MORE BY NAME. NOT THAT HAVEN'T THOUGHT OF YOU.
KEEPING ALL OF YOU IN MY PRAYERS.

JONI......HEY, GIRL, ITS YOUR SPECIAL DAY. I SEE WE HAVE THE SAME MONTH AND YEAR FOR OUR BIRTHDAYS. I HOPE YOU ENJOY YOUR SPECIAL DAY TODAY. HAPPY BIRTHDAY.
DEVONNE......I AM GLAD YOU FOUND THOSE PAPERS. NOW PUT THEM SOMEPLACE SAFE FOR FUTURE NEEDS.
TRISH......I KNOW YOU ARE GLAD THAT BIRTHDAY IS OVERWITH FOR YOUR SIL. NOW YOU CAN GET BACK TO NORMAL.
GOOD LUCK TO MEGAN. I HOPE SHE TAKES IT SLOW AND EASY UNTIL SHE IS FEELING BETTER.
HOLLY......GOOD FOR YOU GETTING YOUR QUILTER READY AND TRYING IT OUT NOW YOU CAN MAKE MORE QUILTS AND KEEP ACTIVE.
LINDA.....I KNOW YOU KEEP UP WITH THE HERD BUT SOMETIMES ITS AN EFFORT TO CHECK IN DAILY. YOU ARE DOING WELL WHEN YOU GET HERE. STAY STRONG.

STAY SAFE MY FRIENDS. HUGS, QB S

It’s a dreary and rainy day. I had a podiatrist appointment at 10, got there 9:50, back in the car at 10:10! Can’t beat that! Too cold and rainy to do any more errands.
Sandra, I probably have a least 5 tops to be quilted! All I need is the oomph to get them done. I made Eddie and denim and flannel rag quilt in February, but that doesn’t get batting or quilted. I have enough denim and flannel squares to make another. I think they multiply in the tote.
Today would be my Dad’s 101st birthday! I can’t believe he’s be gone 18 years. Seems like both yesterday and forever ago.

Good Morning to everyone!! It is so still outside, not a breath of air moving. It obviously rained overnight, everything is really wet. I don't have a thing to say this morning, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

Our shop ordered a new tire today. DH doesn’t believe in repairing/patching flats.
Trish- the rim is good. The tire wasn’t totally flat…still had 26 pounds of air. (Usual amount is 41). When the tire comes in, he’ll put in enough air for me to get it to the shop. Meanwhile I have to drive the truck. 🙄

Judy, you and Howard may be switching roles. You may end up being the driver from now on. It happened to me after Billy's stroke.
Linda, that was a lot of treatments for Darrell. Does he still get checkups every 6 months or once a year?
Holly, so nice of you to make those hats for that woman. I hope you enjoy working with your quilter and it all goes smooth for you.

Good afternoon friends.
It is sunny and bright, in just a little cool. We had a tiny bit of snow on the ground this morning, but it is all melted now. Lots of flooding around the Ohio river and some of the smaller rivers, but nothing in my area.
I pulled two containers from my freezer this morning and told Dean to expect "mystery meals" lil. I usually put a label and date on the containers, but I don't see any. I think it is beef stew or veg beef soup, but not sure. I have to use more of the food I have in the freezer before buying more.
Holly, good for you for getting your quilter out. I put the New Joy midarm that Kelli gave me in the basement a few years ago. I really should get it back out, but I use the spare bedroom for the grandkids, so I took it down. I think about calling Kelli's daughter, Jessi, and asking if she would like it or would like it to sell. Don't think she would get much from it as it is old, but I don't feel comfortable selling it since Kelli gave it to me. She bought a fancy digital one and gave me this one. I never really got the hang of it, and prefer to just use my Janome with straight line quilting.
Devonne, Aaron had 30 treatments, I think. He had to go every 3 months the first year, every 6 months the second year and now he is on a yearly Petscan check. As long as they are clear, he will only do yearly. He had to fight with the insurance coverage when he had to do the 3 months, but his doctor got it done for him.

Devonne- If I ever had to be the driver, we would never go anywhere. 😂

Tire came in this morning and I have an appt for this afternoon at the shop.
I’ll have to take the truck, aka battleship, to a quilt bee luncheon, come back, swap vehicles and go back out to get the tire taken care of. 😵💫🤪

Good Morning to everyone!! It is almost still this morning outside, just a very slight breeze, no sun, sadly. I really don't have a thing going this morning. Just took Frank his coffee and a breakfast ball. He'll likely lay there for awhile, no reason to get up.
I have quite a few flowers blooming in the yard. The really bright yellow ones are quite beautiful, as is the bright pink ones. There is a tree with pure white blossoms blooming. Well, I really don't have a thing to say this morning, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

Namaste, y’all! I had a routine cardiologist appt, then we went to Olive Garden for lunch. Soup, salad and breadsticks, yum! We had them put the dressing on the side, so brought home half the salad. I had a bowl of pasta fagoli there, and got the second bowl of chicken nyookie to go, which he likes. He had eggplant parm with sausage, and brought home a good bit. So we’re set!
it’s chilly and windy out!
I’m reading the new John Sandford, so the goal might be to finish that today.
I saw on Facebook that hummingbirds love bee balm plants, so I have to see if I can order some seeds. We’ve grown a lot of sunflowers the past 2 years, and various birds eat the seeds right down to the husk, which is great. We have some woodpeckers that love the suet we put out.
The low tonight will be 28! Brrrr!
Stay warm everyone!
