Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

Trish, I like the medium purple fabric for a border. It goes really well with the quilt. Glad Megan is home. When I had my hysterectomy, my boss called and asked if I could come back a week earlier so I went back after 5 weeks.

Theresa, forgot to say "thank you" for adopting this dog. You are a true dog lover like me. I've never been a large dog fan because they can knock me over, lol. It surely would be much worse now at my age. I had to be careful around Gary's great dane. He wanted to sit in Gary's lap, lol.

BJ, I hope you have a wonderful day too!

I will be doing 3 weeks of radiation at a slightly higher dosage instead of 6 weeks. I go back next Tuesday for the mapping, which takes about an hour.

Judy, glad ML is back home. I know how she feels about being needed and doing something useful.

Where is Marylou?

Janet, that was a weird dream for sure. How nice of you to offer your friend a ride.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

I’m here, Devonne!  Just been pretty busy.

I spent almost all day Saturday and again yesterday driving my SIL to car dealerships. She has a 2011 Yukon with nearly 300,000 miles on it and it is on its last legs. She has a limited budget so it is very hard to find something reliable that she likes.  No luck yet.  She does a lot for me so I was happy to do this for her.

Next week is my guild spring retreat so I am getting stuff ready to take. I like to have all planning and most cutting done before I go. I will also need to do some food prep. Everyone takes whatever they want for breakfast and lunch then each pair of us are in charge of one evening meal.

On top of all of this I have 2 doctor appointments on Thursday, both are regular follow-ups. I was glad I could get them scheduled on the same day since they are both 35 miles away.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

Theresa, nice to hear that your mom is feeling better.  I hope you find a good home for her soon.  I know your new puppy is one lucky dog!   I still  yearn for a dog, but will stick to visiting with Bosco.  Judy, he is a large Great Dane and is so loving and such a goofball.  He is really tall; when he stands beside me, his head reaches between my waist and chest.  He can put his head on my kitchen island.

Trish, I love that purple border on your braid quilt.

This is Bosco.   He is a Blue Merle Great Dane.  He is 4 now and already getting white around his mouth.   They only live 7 - 8 years.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

IN THE COURTROOM......
Q.  AS AN OFFICER OF THE DODGE CITY DEPT DID YOU STOP AN AUTOMOBILE BEARING KANSAS LICENSE PLATES SCR446?
A.  YES, SIR.
Q.  WAS THE VEHICLE OCCUPIED AT THE TIME?

SUNNY AND BRIGHT AND SHOULD HIT 40 TODAY.

MY CARDIO WANTS ME TO START A NEW HEART MED, CARVEDILOL, SINCE HE TOOK ME OFF THE ATENOLOL.  MY GRDAU GINA IS PICKING IT UP FOR ME THIS MORNING AND SHOULD BE HERE AROUND NOONTIME.
IT WILL BE GREAT TO GET SOMETHING TO SLOW MY HEART RATE.  THE FAST RATE MAKES ME JITTERY AND I LOSE MY CONCENTRATION.  NO FUN.

I MADE THE COUNTRY SPARE RIBS IN TOMATO SAUCE WITH SPAGHETTI LAST NITE AND IT WAS REALLY GOOD.  I FORGOT HOW MUCH I LIKE THOSE RIBS.

I PLAN TO GO TO BINGO TONITE AFTER I TAKE MY FIRST PILL.  IT SHOULD HELP ME CONTROL THE RATE AND MAKE LIVING COMFORTABLE AGAIN.  CROSS YOUR FINGERS FOR ME LADIES.

CHERYL.....BOSCO IS SURELY A HUGE DOG.  I KNOW THEY DO NOT LIVE AS LONG AS OTHER BREEDS.  THE SIZE MUST WEAR ON THEM SOMEHOW.  HE'S A BEAUTY THOUGH.
WHEN I HAD MY DOBERMAN HE WOULD SCOOT HIS BUTT ONTO MY LAP AND HIS FRONT LEGS WERE ON THE FLOOR, BUT HE WAS HAPPY AND I LOVED IT.  HE JUST THOUGHT HE WAS A LAP DOG.  WE ALWAYS SAID IF ANYONE BROKE INTO THE HOUSE, HE WOULD HELP THEM CARRY OUT THE SILVER.  FRIENDLIEST DOG YOU COULD WANT BUT FOLKS DID NOT KNOW THAT AND KEPT THEIR DISTANCE.  NO STRANGERS EVER CAME THRU OUR YARD.

DEVONNE......GOOD FOR YOU GETTING STARTED SOON ON YOUR TREATMENT.  I KNOW YOU WANT THAT OVER AND DONE WITH AND BEFORE YOU KNOW IT, IT WILL BE.
HOPE THE LITTLE FUR BABIES ARE DOING WELL.

CAROL.....HOW ARE THINGS IN THE FAR SOUTH?

THERESA.......KEEP STRONG.  YOU HAVE MY POSITIVE THOUGHTS WINGING YOUR WAY THAT THINGS WILL IMPROVE FOR YOU.

LINDA.......ENJOY YOUR DAY.

THAT'S IS FROM ME.  I AM GOING TO READ FOR AWHILE.  STAY SAFE AND BE WELL.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

Sandra, I have been taking carvedilol for several years and my heart rate is usually in the 60’s or low 70’s. My cardio said it is important to take it at regular times to keep the effect even.  For one of my other meds, I am supposed to take it exactly twelve hours apart (could vary about 15-20 minutes) so I take the carvedilol at the same time.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

Good afternoon!

Mom needs to go to another "skilled nursing" facility.  The last place was a real one the first was a glorified nursing home, very little care and no assessments of the patients/residents were made, thus why we are where we are now! I hate this process.  This case manager is good and has given me a list via My Chart for my mom.  That helps as I can access it at any time.  I have till Monday or later to make this decision!

Mom will need 6 weeks of IV antibiotics, so at least 6 weeks before she can go back to her apartment!

I told the doctor this morning as I listened to the care rounds that she would have gotten better skilled nursing had she gone back to her apartment than she is getting at these supposed "skilled nursing facilities".  The one she was at does not want her back!  I am sick of this.  Ready to go hide in a corner and never come out again!  But alas I have to pull up my big girl panties and deal with life!

Need to run, I have not been to see mom yet today!  I will look at the list tonight!

Later my Friends!

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

Evening y'all!

Mom was being a bit of a brat today.  Not sure what is causing the behavior unless she is like me tired of all of this!

Hubby and I did the research and have 3 places that are not so far away that I would lose my whole day traveling to see her.  Plus what she sent me gave me ratings, that was so helpful.  Saved me a ton of research!  If I had a list like that the first time we probably would not be in this mess!

Got home from seeing mom and Simba had thrown up in 2 different places.  Poor baby.  One was on the carpet, the other on the hardwood floor.  I cleaned both up, and since I had to clean the area on the hardwood, I cleaned the whole floor.  When hubby got home he vacuumed, he could not find the carpet spot so I must have done a good job.

Need to run.  I am tired!

OOPS.......
1.  HIS 90-YEAR-OLD GRANDMOTHER STILL HAS ALL HER FACILITIES.
2.  THEY WERE SINGING WITHOUT ACCOPANIMENT.  YOU KNOW.....ACAPULCO.

IT'S BEEN CLOUDY BUT SUN IS NOW SHINING.  EXPECT IT MAY HIT 40 TODAY.

WE HAVE A SPECIAL DAY TODAY FOR A COUPLE OF YOU.
SEW HAPPY PATTY........ITS YOUR BIRTHDAY TODAY.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY.  I HOPE YOU HAVE A FINE DAY.

CHERYL AND DEAN.....AND FOR YOU I WISH YOU A WONDERFUL HAPPY ANNIVERSARY.  HUGS FOR YOU BOTH.

MARYLOU.....THANK YOU FOR THAT INFORMATION ON MY NEW MEDS.  I HOPE TO GET REGULATED SOON.  I KNOW I'M ALREADY FEELING BETTER.

THERESA.......MY GOSH, I WISH YOU STRENGTH.  AT LEAST THIS TIME YOU HAVE SOME HELP IN PLACING MOM.  SORRY FOR ALL YOUR ISSUES.  I HOPE YOU GET SOME REST FROM ALL THIS VERY, VERY SOON.

I THINK I'LL MAKE PIZZA TONITE.  I HAVE A CRAVING.
I WENT TO BINGO LAST NITE AND LOST $5.50.  A NEW PLAYER SEEMED TO WIN NEARLY ALL THE GAMES.  SHE HAD A BIG PILE OF QUARTERS IN FRONT OF HER WHEN WE WERE DONE.
I STILL PLAN TO TAKE IT EASY TODAY UNTIL MY BODY GETS BACK ON TRACK AGAIN.  NO SENSE RUSHING INTO THINGS TOO FAST.

HAVE A GREAT DAY MY FRIENDS.  HUGS.  QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

Theresa, it doesn't surprise me your Mom is being a brat. Look at all the changes she has been thru at her age. I will pray you and Todd find the right place for her after her IV treatments are over.

My short weird dream last night....Sheriff Andy Taylor of Mayberry called to tell me his surgery has been postponed; thought I would want to know, lol.

Cheryl, Gary's great dane was black. So sad he was so far away from home and was hit by a car. Gary still doesn't know how he got that far from home. It was when fireworks were going on that he disappeared.

This is a picture of Sampson. He wasn't fully grown here.

Theresa, I just said my prayer for God to send you to the right place.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

Howard is on his way to McD's for our supper.  I'm still not feeling well and we're so low on groceries I couldn't come up with anything that suits us.  He had a hearing test at Beltone this AM and then lunch with Dave.  He was gone so long I called him to make sure he was alright.

I did a Covid test this morning and it was negative.  I believe I just have an old fashioned cold.
Just checking in...talk more tomorrow.  Sweet dreams.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

Theresa, (((hugs)) to you and mom.  What an ordeal you have been through; aging surely is a difficult thing.

Devonne, oh, that Sampson was a beauty.  LOL at the Andy Taylor dream.  I love that show and watch it mostly every day.

Judy, get well soon.  It has been a terrible season for RSV, flu and colds in our area.  This yo-yo weather does not help.  Today was 60 degrees again.

Sandra, thank you for the anniversary greeting!  Dean and I have been married 49 years.  Some days seem like forever, others no so much.  Time has flown by.  We have known each other since elementary school as he was one grade ahead of me in our little town.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PATTY!!!

Re: ODT SUNDAY 9 MARCH ~ SAT MARCH 15

Happy birthday PATTY, and a very Happy Anniversary to CHERYL & DEAN

Hope it's been a great day for all of you!!

STRINGS  when computers go haywire often it's the kids who can fix them, I can call on the boys or Pete, all of them are better than The  Geeks LOL - and cheaper LOL

SANDRA that is a big loss, hope it's a better game for you next time, Megan wants to thank you for the soup recipe, said it's just perfect for when she doesn't want to eat. I add lemon to it as well as I know she likes it.

DEVONNE wow he's a big one too, and CHERLY'S grand baby too, Alfie is enormous too, he just can't figure out why he can't lay on Megan right now, he tries to every day.
I'll be thinking of you as you have your chemo (((hugs))))

INDY I know the Mr gets McDs when he can, I hate the stuff - apart from the coffee, it's fine, but I have it on oat milk, and it's nice for me that way, he checks his app every day he's out to get the latest 'special' I tell him I can hear his arteries calling for help LOL

THERESA so good to hear you are getting a little help. Your mum has dementia, so there is no telling why she is being bratty, AS WELL AS all she has been through the last months, poor woman,  ((((hugs)))) and you have been her rock, with Todd ((((hugs))))

Megan saw her Dr today, he gave her the full report, and she had a meltdown on the way home, she had not realised how bad things were and how involved her surgery was, I spoke to her for a while, she had a cuppa and has some friends over now, rang Gary and he said she is much better than she has been, I think she needed that cry to let it all out, it's been pretty scary for her, never having had surgery of any kind before. (well she had her arm set under anaesthesia when she was 8, but no surgery )

And I think by the sound of her it was a pretty ugly cry LOL Poor Gary he did all the right things to help her. Dr has given him next week as well to care for her, and also told her if she feels like driving after another week she can, but decide how she feels then, he'll see her again in April.

Being so close to St Pats day the club had Irish themed food and drink, I actually had a cocktail, rare for me, usually it's soda water, so I had that too, I had something with creme de menthe and cream, didn't taste very alcoholic LOL the Mr had Irish (Beef) stew, I didn't think they could call it that it's usually lamb irish stew, said it was good, Gary and I had the Vietnamese Chicken salad, it was yum.

I have bread in the fridge to bake in the morning, and got my 1.5 metres of fabric for the overlocker class I got into on Sunday, they had a cancellation, so switched me from June. That's good as I can see if there are any tips I can use to make his sis some fleece track pants, the ones you buy are horrid fabric, and she likes colours you can't get anymore, BUT I can buy the fleece fabric in colours she does like.

(((hugs))) and prayers

YOGI BERRAISMS........
1. GOING TO CALL HIM WILLIAM?  WHAT KIND OF A NAME IS THAT?  EVERY TOM, DICK,AND HARRY IS CALLED WILLIAM.
2.  OUR COMEDIES ARE NOT TO BE LAUGHED AT.

WE ARE EXPECTING TO HIT THE LOW 50S TODAY AND ITS SUNNY.  IT WILL BE A NICE DAY.

JUDY.....SORRY YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL.  THE OLDTIME FLU IS NOT A GOOD TIME.  TAKE IT EASY AND REST UP.  IT'LL PASS.

DEVONNE.....NICE PHOTO OF SAMPSON.  THEY ARE HUGE AND WELL LOVED AND WE LOSE THE BIGGIES MUCH TOO SOON.
I HAD SOME FUNNY DREAMS LAST NITE MYSELF BUT THEY FADED INTO HISTORY A FEW MINUTES AFTER I AWOKE.

TRISH......I HAD AN OVERLOCKER BUT RARELY USED IT SO GAVE IT AWAY ALONG WITH A BOX OF THREADS.
SORRY THAT MEGAN HAD SUCH A ROUGH TIME OF REALIZING THE EXTENT OF HER AILMENT.  NOW SHE IS PAST IT AND CAN CONCENTRATE ON GETTING WELL AGAIN.  IT ALL TAKES TIME AND LOVE.
I'M GLAD SHE LIKED THE SOUP.  ITS A FAVORITE AROUND HERE.

I HAVE LAUNDRY TO DO TODAY AND TAKING OUT THE RECYCLES IS AT THE TOP OF MY LIST.
I DIDN'T MAKE THE PIZZA LAST NITE BUT I MADE THE PIZZA SAUCY GROUND BEEF TO PUT ON IT.  INSTEAD I HAD TO USE UP SOME GROUND BEEF SO MAKE BURGERS AND FRIES FOR LUNCH.  THE PIZZA WILL BE BAKED FOR SUPPER.

WISHING YOU ALL A GOOD DAY.  HUGS, QB S
