OOPS, it's already time to lock!! This last few days have been hectic here, Friday sewing day, then pick up John to help him get his new computer parts, out to dinner, training Sat morning then to studio for an interview, home, then out again to driving range for a fun night with the training girls, then home late and sewing all day today, we will have take away tonight, then early to bed. I had horrible reflux after eating out last night, just my tummy, the food was lovely! So not much sleep.
I am so sorry for the tragic plane accidents, so much heartache for so many
SANDRA that was a funny, The church will help you LOL I hope you are feeling better, and ready to tackle a few chores, I am ready for take away, maybe pizza, no idea yet.
DEVONNE you sound more like yourself, i forgot to answer you, yes we have quite a lot of snow south of us, they call the Snowy Mountains for a reason LOL quite a few ski grounds there, the further south you go more chance in winter, we do get some snow a little west of us in the mountains, not much though.
CHERYL good for your boys (and you), getting some exercise is so good for you, it's almost MORE the mental help it gives, it makes me feel so much better.
TRACY & BJ so sorry you are not feeling so well, hope the meds kick in quickly and you are back to feeling good soon
STRINGS so sorry you have been having problems, I hope you have both recovered for covid without side effects. So good to hear from you when you can.
INDY poor guy, he is having some troubles isn't he? I think it very well might have been the "other" things he was taking. We have to do a "fit for driving" every year from 75 THEN we have to have a driving test at 80, I am training myself now to put my seatbelt on BEFORE I start the car, I don't usually, and it's an automatic fail if you don't buckle up. It's just habit to break, I run the motor while I belt up and check mirrors, old habits are hard to break, and I only have a bit over 3 1/2 years to fix it LOL
MARYLOU how are you going with everything, you are so lucky to have the help to get things done that you can't, a loving family is a wonderful thing.
JANET are you still on a roll, I was almost expecting to hear you had taken over everything LOL
Megan finally has a date for her surgery, it's March 7th, it will be in the afternoon so she will be in hospital for the weekend till maybe Monday after, then she is on rest for 2 weeks, with Gary to care for her ( and me I guess)
I better start thinking about what to get for dinner, it will be pizza or Chinese, they can decide and I'll buy.
I came back to report LOL we got Chinese, it was really good, and I'm heading to bed soon. See you tomorrow.

MORE MANGLED ENGLISH......
1. INCLUDE ME OUT.
2. FOR YOUR INFORMATION, I WOULD LIKE TO ASK A QUESTION.
WE ARE EXPECTING 1 TO 3 INCHES OF SNOW ONCE AGAIN. ITS BRIGHT AND SUNNY BUT COLD. IT WAS ONLY 7 ABOVE ZERO WHEN I TOOK OUT MY TRASH THIS MORNING.
YES, ITS COLD HERE IN MAINE LATELY. AND THE SNOW COMES IN DRIBBLES OF 2 OR 4 INCHES AT A TIME SO THAT'S A GOOD THING. IT BEING FEB. I EXPECT SOME HEAVY SNOWS TO COME.
I FINISHED MY UNICORN PUZZLE AND STARTED ANOTHER ONE IN THE COMMON ROOM. IT GETS WORKED ON BY 1 OR 2 OTHERS EVERY DAY OR SO. I LOVE HAVING HELP IN FINISHING THEM. THERE IS ANOTHER PUZZLE GOING PROVIDED BY ANOTHER TENANT, TOO.
TODAY I PLAN TO MAKE SOME CHICKEN RICE SOUP. ITS THAT KIND OF WEATHER AND I CAN SHARE WITH A FEW OTHERS.
I MADE MY PIZZA LAST NITE AND SHARED WITH NAN, THE NEIGHBOR WITH THE WONKY NECK. SHE DOESN'T COOK MUCH WITH THAT WEIRD NECK OF HERS.
ANOTHER NEIGHBOR, MICHELE, WENT TO THE HOSPITAL YESTERDAY. THEY SHIPPED HER TO BOSTON I THINK. ANYWAY, ITS A GOOD THING SHE GAVE ME HER APT. KEY THE DAY BEFORE AFTER SHE HAD SOME EXTRAS MADE SINCE SHE TOOK HER PURSE WITH HER BUT HER WALLET WITH ALL HER CARDS AND ID WERE NOT IN IT. I GOT THE CARDS FROM HER APT. AND TOOK PHOTOS OF THEM SO SHE COULD HAVE THE INFO SHE NEEDED AND A CREDIT CARD TO USE. SHE HAD NO MONEY EITHER. ITS FUNNY HOW THAT WORKED OUT JUST AT THE RIGHT TIME. OTHERWISE NO ONE WOULD BE ABLE TO GET HER THAT INFO.
I WANT TO TAKE THIS MOMENT TO THANK ALL OF YOU THAT SAID MY DRAWINGS ARE PRETTY NICE. I ALWAYS THOUGHT THEY WEREN'T TOO GOOD. I THINK FAIR IS THE WORD I USE FOR MY DOORHANGINGS AND WALLHANGINGS THAT I SKETCH. AND MY CHARCOALS. I KNOW THEY ARE OFTEN DIFFICULT FOR ME AND TAKE A BIT OF TIME TO GET RIGHT. I'M HOPING WITH THESE NEW BOOKS I CAN IMPROVE MY TECHNIQUE.
TRISH....KEEPING UP APPEARANCES IS BACK AGAIN ON OUR PBS CHANNEL. LOVE HYACINTH. YOU CAN BE SURE I WILL BE REWATCHING THEM.
BJ......GOOD TO SEE YOU POSTING AGAIN TODAY.
THAT'S PRETTY MUCH IT LADIES. MY DAY OF REST I TAKE SERIOUSLY. WILL BE MY LAZY SELF TODAY.
HUGS FOR YOU ALL. QB S

I made coffee this morning and it was only milk and water, lol. I must have put a used Keurig cup in with the good coffee.
Decided to sell my dining room table and chairs. Was just too big for the area. Sold it in 18 minutes. The couple bought it for their daughter. She is a stay at home mom and her "DH" walked out on her. Was glad it went to someone that really needed it.
My prayers go out to all the families of those lost in these tragic plane accidents....so sad.

Having another quiet day at home before the "appts. every day but Tuesday" week. Well, Friday is our first day back to our small group Bible study, but to me, that falls into the appt. category. Have to make a dessert. I like that as I think they're easier than a salad.
Glad your home, BJ. UTI's are relentless and so tiresome. Sweet of Tracy to fill us in when you can't...
I just heard a cat sort of yowling, looked out and there was a large charcoal gray cat slowly walking across the yard. It sounded a bit distressed. Never seen this one before. Maybe he was looking for our resident ground hog. I understand Puxatawny Phil saw his shadow this morning.
Our snow is gone, every bit of it. It's cloudy and fairly warm--today and tomorrow, then back to the 30's. I'll take that over colder ones, especially with all these appts. coming up.
Thank you for your thoughts about Howard. Twice, he's felt like a headache was coming, but one never developed. He finally went upstairs a bit ago. He's camped in the living room for days. I've been patient, tho. It's a hard time for him and me but I'm thankful for what it is and not what it could be.
Devonne, what will you do with your dining room/area, now? How nice for both you and the recipient. Both of you have benefited and so quickly.
Better go. H. has brought me the checkbook to look over. We together just balanced it two days ago so I can't imagine it's too big a problem but until I look for myself, I can't relax.
Have a good day.

Linda, Billy and I used to eat out a lot. We ate dinner at home most of the time unless we went out with family. I hope Darrell will agree to close the bank account. When Billy passed away, I was so surprised how fast our bank knew about his death. I didn't call them. Guess SS does or the state? They sent me all these papers to fill out. I did not do that. I switched banks instead.
Judy, I will be shopping for a smaller table. Is Howard possibly dehydrated?

Janet, I was married to an accountant for 55 years so I balanced my checkbook every month! We had separate accounts in different banks. We worked in different towns (lived between them) and it was easier to bank closest to work. Most of our monthly bills (groceries, utilities, etc) came out of my account, bills due less often (most insurance, property tax, etc) and deposits in savings account came out of Bills account. He was much better than me at seeing the big picture whereas if I saw a hefty balance I would think I could spend more and didn’t think about a big bill due 2-3 months later. It worked well for us.
Our snow and ice is finally all gone! Well, there are still some piles of dirty ugly snow where parking lots were cleared. The temperature got up to 60 today and it was very welcome.
Judy, your week sounds about like mine with so many appointments. Count money at church tomorrow, quilt guild (my turn to take dessert), nutrition class, and personal training all on Tuesday, appointment with PCP on Wednesday, haircut on Thursday, and exercise class M, W, & F.

ITS A MALAPROP.......
1. MEDIEVAL CATHEDRALS WERE SUPPORTED BY FLYING BUTTOCKS.
2. THEY HAD TO GIVE ONE OF THE PLAYERS ARTIFICIAL INSEMINATION.
WE GOT ANOTHER 4 INCHES OF SNOW LAST NITE. IT JUST KEEPS COMING IN DRIBBLES. WILL BE WARMER TODAY, IN THE 30S. LOVE IT.
I ACTUALLY BALANCE MY CHECKBOOK DAILY. I CHECK MY BANK BALANCE ONLINE EACH MORNING TO SEE WHAT CHECKS HAD CLEARED AND EASILY SEE IF MY CHECKBOOK AGREES. SO MUCH EASIER THAN THE OLD WAY.
I MADE MY CHICKEN RICE SOUP LAST NITE AND SHARED AROUND THE NEIGHBORS. I MADE A BIG POT AND DID NOT WANT TO GET TIRED OF EATING LEFTOVERS.
MY NEIGHBOR IN HOSPITAL WAS SENT TO BOSTON GENERAL FOR FURTHER TESTS. NOW THEY ARE CHECKING FOR TRIGEMINAL NEUROLOGA ACCORDING TO HER. I DON'T KNOW IF ITS SPELLED CORRECTLY. SHE'S NOT HAPPY.
I AM DOING MY LAUNDRY RIGHT NOW AND WILL DO A BIT OF CLEANING IN THE KITCHEN TODAY. NO COOKING. I HAVE LEFTOVERS.
HAVE A GOOD DAY. HUGS, QB S

Mary Lou, you've got me beat this week. Whew! I've recopied Howard's B/P recording since the hospital for the cardio this afternoon. Going for some groceries after his 2:15 appt. Getting low on everything. Nice to have an accountant in the family. (and a doctor!) We have Andrew now, and he's offered to do our taxes. But, they're so easy and Howard's done them himself for so long, we won't need him. I, who am ignorant of all taxes will look them over, though. For what that's worth. Actually, I used to do them during my first marriage, but, I always had my school principal neighbor look them over before they were sent by snail mail, then, of course.
QB, do you pay bills on-line? Learning that is next on my financial agenda. We did them together for Feb., but I need to actually do the steps myself. Him telling me or even me watching while HE does it, won't work for me. When he was in the hospital with his stroke, ML managed to get the password for his computer. He used his fingerprint.
BJ, enjoy, or not, your snow! I'm not sure if you like it or not? Usually it's folks that never, ever see snow (and Patty ) who really like snow. Sorry, Patty, I just had to say that!
Going to get myself ready. Maybe someday I'll be all ready and waiting when it's time to go somewhere. Once in a while that happens and then, I usually leave something at home.

It is really warm today, around 50 degrees and a little sun is peeking through. It is supposed to snow again tomorrow. We still have patches of snow in the grass and yards but that is all.
I have not balanced my checkbook for years, either Janet. Not since I started all banking on the computer. We have never had a bounced check either. I do all the bill paying now, but Dean is looking at what I do. He handles all of the stock info and I do not know how to do that. He has shown Anthony and Aaron all the info in case they would need it. I sorted all of our "important papers" yesterday; our will, insurance papers, car titles, etc. They are now all in one place in a folder.
Trish, I am not sure about a driving test here in Ohio after a certain age, but I could not renew my drivers license online this year. Anybody over 65 had to go to the office for a vision test. Plus we could not renew for 8 years like younger people can do. I am not adverse to a driving test after 75 since our reflexes dim with age.
Had my 3 month blood work done and my A1c level was down to 5.2 which is no longer pre-diabetic. It has been years since it is that low. I have been walking 2.5 or 3 miles several times a week and really watching the sweets and carbs. Down 5 pounds, too, but I was more concerned with being diabetic. We are eating only "clean" food and nothing processed. I think that is the key.
Sending positive vibes to you all.

Afternoon y'all!
Warm here today. Started my walk with a fleece jacket and had to take it off half-way through! Beautiful day here!
Things at moms are not getting any better. They left her in the same nightgown since Friday. Yesterday, I reported that it was past due getting changed. It wasn't changed till this morning.
Spoke with the NP at the facility, today. Added Mobic, to hopefully get her feeling more comfortable! I really like this nurse!
Working on trying to get mom's insurance straight. Got paperwork via her email that I have to fax or snail mail. That's OK, I did get it printed, just need to fill it out and get mom to sign it even though she has no clue what she is signing! Got to play the governments game! She has military health insurance!
Kids are all doing great. We are going to Vicksburg on Saturday to help Luke get a washer and dryer from a co-worker. He is buying it from her. We will get it on Sunday and head home Monday.
Not much else happening here!
Later my Friends!

62* here today.
Cheryl- DH does all the stock things. I pay the bills.
We have an accountant do our taxes. I put everything we get in the mail in an envelope, unopened, and dump it on his desk. He calls when it’s done. lol
ETA: the first year we were married I decided to do our tax return myself. When I was done I announced to DH that we were going to get a $18,000 refund! After laughing hysterically, he said that’s great considering we only earned $14,000. 🤣. The next day I brought the info to an accountant. We got a refund of $22. Ever since we have used an accountant…that’s 50+ years.

That's ok Indy, I do love the snow! We've been getting 4-6" at a time the last few weeks. It keeps everything clean and crisp looking. Only thing I don't like is those darn deer walking all over the yard messing up the smoothness of the snow.
I leave Wednesday for a quilt retreat till Sunday. I'm taking only counted cross stitch this time. We did get a foot of snow while there a few years ago.
