And, my favorite picture of the day.  This is Belinda's Dream, but she thinks it's her nightmare.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

Carol, Roses In the Snow, sung by Emmylou Harris.  I remembered that  phrase and Googled it.  Forgot all about poor Emmylou.  I suppose  it is also from some other time and place in literature, which you probably know.  Anyway...thanks for the beautiful pics.  I hope they are hardy and survive.

It's 4 degrees here.  Howard went for the paper and mail.  We tied a scarf around his nose and mouth.  Not good for COPD patients to breath too much cold air.  I never go for them as I can't walk well and you have to cross the highway so my family forbids it.   I did sit on the edge of the bed and watched him go and come back and helped him off with his duds.

My problem with learning the ropes around this house is that after the "lesson", I still never do those things.  But even so, one should know where the water turn off valve is, for one thing and a myriad of others.  And in the past, I've written down instructions.  But, like with the electronics, ie, phone, computer,  etc.  it's always being changed  "for the better".  Yeah, right!  Often, NOT!

How did you like Melania's ball gown?  IMO, it was stunning on her.   I'm not fond of black and white so I liked the 2nd Lady's better.  But it was fun to see the various ones.  Wish I had my Jr. prom dress.  It was three shades of blue chiffon.  Tea length because full length wasn't in style then.  Of all the things I've kept, why didn't I keep that?  I don't even have a picture of it, only the memory.    How about you?  Any special outfits you still have?

Our new neighbor, the one in the woods, with the 7 young children sent a text last night asking how we are in this extreme cold and if there is anything we need.  We hadn't told them about Howard's hospitalization or anything  so it was very nice of him to check on us.  His dad told Howard (in his presence when they first met) that 'Andrew will be good to you'.  Seems so, doesn't it?

Well, the dishwasher is plumb full, purring away but I still have some things to wash up that didn't fit in it.  So off I go...Have a good evening and sweet dreams.
Indy

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

Evening y'all!

Yup, we got snow!  A dusting but snow nonetheless! Todd came home from work shortly after it started, not because he can't drive in it, but it's the other drivers!

The drama with my mom continues!  She's getting bedsores on her feet!  Really people this is so avoidable!  Do I need to stay with her 24/7!  Sara and I changed her shirt for the first time on Saturday, and she's still wearing it!!!!!  Yesterday, the wound care Nurse practitioner came in while I was there.  I told her nobody has told me anything and I'm not happy.  She proceeds to tell me that when they come in on the weekend that's what happens.  I informed her that mom has been there a week.  She said that my concerns are valid!  Ya think!  She also mentioned that mom is there for long-term care, to which I corrected her to say, she has an apartment in assisted living, she's just here for rehab.  Seems nobody has a clue about mom!

They do put mom in a wheelchair, until she eats lunch then she stays in the bed until the next morning when she goes for rehab!  It drives her crazy!  Drives me crazy too!

I have finally made the bedroom curtains for Alex, and the kitchen curtains!  He came to get them last night!  Today I took out the quilt hanging thing I got in NC and hung up the one block wonder.  Did some seem ripping!  All I wanted to rip is done!  Next is to watch some video to see how to align the rows so they are not super wonky!

Kids still doing good.  Vicksburg was closed today because of possible snow, they got nothing!

I need our prayer warriors here!  A good husband/wife friends of ours, just welcomed their first grand baby on the 18th.  Sadly he passed away yesterday!  The parents are devastated!  As are the grandparents!  Please keep them in your prayers!  TIA!

Later, supper is ready!

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

Good Morning to everyone!!  I'm not feeling too bright this morning.  It is sunny and still this morning.  I have no plans for the day, so will likely just watch TV and sit most of the day.
I'm off to watch TV and no other plans, hope you all have a wonderful day, BJ.

ORDER IN THE COURT.....
Q.  DO YOU KNOW HOW FAR PREGNANT YOU ARE RIGHT NOW?
A. I WILL BE THREE MONTHS NOV. 8TH.
Q.  APPARENTLY THEN THE DATE OF CONCEPTION WAS AUG. 8TH?
A. YES.
Q.  WHAT WERE YOU AND YOUR HUSBAND DOING AT THAT TIME?

IT'S BEEN A BITTER COLD NIGHT HITTING 14 BELOW ZERO.  NOW IN THE SINGLE DIGITS BUT SUNNY AND BRIGHT. AMAZING HOW PRETTY IT CAN BE WHEN ITS ICY COLD.

I'M FEELING BETTER TODAY SO CAN GET BACK ON MY DAILY CLEANING SCHEDULE.  TODAY ITS CABINETS AND KITCHEN DRAWERS.  I WANT TO PULL OUT MY FLATWARE AND UTENSILS, WASH THEM, AND TOSS WHAT I HAVEN'T USED IN THE PAST YEAR.

MY DAUGHTER'S WHOLE FAMILY IS DOWN WITH COLDS SO SHE WILL NOT  BE COMING THIS WEEK TO SCRUB MY FLOORS.  IT CAN WAIT A WEEK I THINK.  ITS BEEN WAITING THIS LONG.  I MAY TRY CLEANING THE OVEN DOOR SINCE I BOUGHT A SUPPOSEDLY GREAT CLEANER ONLINE FOR THAT.  BUT TODAY IS ALL PLANNED SO MAYBE TOMORROW.  OOPS, MAYBE NOT.  A MAINT. PERSON IS COMING TOMORROW TO CHECK THE FIRE-STOPS UNDER OUR RANGE HOODS.  IF THEY NEED CHANGING, THEY WILL ORDER THEM.

I AM READING A GOOD MYSTERY SO THAT IS KEEPING ME HAPPY.  AND THERE IS BINGO TONITE.  WISH ME LUCK THIS WEEK.  I'D LOVE TO COME HOME A WINNER TONITE.

WISHING ALL MY FRIENDS INTHE SOUTH SOME WARMER WEATHER.  ITS SURE BEEN A STRANGE WINTER SO FAR FOR SO MANY.
HUGS FOR ALL, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

More stuff going on here.  Howard continues to have headaches most every evening, but  not in the earlier hours?????    They let up some by bedtime and are gone in the morning.  So, I have a call in to his cardiologist.  His wish.  I think it should be his neurologist but will go this route first.  I will tell the asst. that he's seen the neurologist and see what she thinks.

Just talked with ML.  She and Bill have the Walmart grocery delivery all set up and they seldom or never use it.  She is really urging me to take advantage of it, delivered to their house and then they'll bring the groc. over  to us.  We were going today but I need to wait for the Dr. call back, which might not come early enough to for us to go and I'm not sure H. is feeling like it.  If we also can't tomorrow, we'll order that way for sure   And they will go themselves and get our meds.  The temp. is still single digits, here.

Sure looks funny to see pics of palm trees covered in snow in New Orleans and Florida.  Yikes!

Going to see to some lunch.  Have a good day.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

Snow melted, surfaces are wet, and we have another freeze tonight.  Let's hope the black ice melts in the morning because everyone is supposed to return to work and school.

Judy, could Howard be having a reaction to some medication?  The timing seems weird.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

Wow!! CAROL they are gorgeous, strange to see them with snow, mine flower early not winter, and they start again early spring, so only a few months off each year, I just can't even imagine them flowering in snowy conditions. Hope the black ice stays away for you!

SANDRA hope you got a win in Bingo, sorry about the family sickness, but good of them to think others and stay clear. If you have access to washing soda you can make a runny paste (use gloves!! ) and spread it on the oven door, it often loosens up stuff. I searched out the new series, we don't get it, but I have plenty of Britbox and Call To The Midwife is back on it as well, so plenty to watch.

INDY poor you  and H, it's strange, has he been taking new meds, or taking them at a different time, maybe try to get him to the neuro, it's concerning he hasn't made progress, something is definitely going in. I love my online shop, I do pick it up at the store, but my sis uses delivery for her group home she cares for. She can't take them all out with her to pick up groceries LOL

DEVONNE I am so glad you are doing so well, just remember it's not that long ago you had 2 surgeries, so keep taking it easy!

JANET hope the weather has improved for you, that ice on steep drives is no fun at all.

CHERYL same to you guys, take it easy, we don't need falls for any of you!!

I had a sewing day yesterday, we made a top, had to trace the pattern first, so that took some time, my overlocker isn't back yet, they had to call in the old mechanic as well, they had 70 machines to do!! I don't need it for this anyway. I got most of it done, I have stuck a snag with the neck binding, she showed us "how" but I'm doing something wrong, I can't get it right, have loads of fabric, and I will probably have to unpick it, and cut a new bias strip for it, shame as it's only the v-neck that's not right the rest was easy. Then I only need to do the side seams, will wait till I get the overlocker back for that, and do the hem, so a quick pattern as class was only 10-3. And I have the pattern to make another if this one gets done properly and looks good. My fabric is cotton rayon, and it's a "b" to sew, keeps slipping, but it falls nicely and looks good LOL

Megan has already booked her endoscopy and colonoscopy, and is waiting till she gets back to work late next week to book the hysterectomy. She wants to check with the office when would be better,  the Dr will also give a certificate to Gary to have 2 weeks off to care for her. She will need that, and then will probably have another week off then back to work, he said she can drive after 2 weeks. She's a bit scared, but he told her the only other option was exploratory, and he already knows what is there ( fibroids - large ones) so just let him know when she wants the surgery, he said he didn't want to do it when she saw him 2 years ago but she's 47 now and best to get it done as the fibroids have gown a lot. I'm thinking late Feb or early March, depends on her work, he queried that she was a teacher and might like school holidays, she told him she had different schools she liaised with, not a classroom teacher, so that makes it easier. He's my ob/gyn and he's really easy to talk too, and he's such a caring man. She felt very comfortable with him, so much better than the woman she had been seeing.

I need to get to bed, it's early, but I'm tired tonight.

ORDER IN THE COURT......
Q.  DOCTOR, HOW MANY AUTOPSIES HAVE YOU PERFORMED ON DEAD PEOPLE?
A.  ALL MY AUTOPSIES HAVE BEEN ON DEAD PEOPLE.

ANOTHER...
Q.  WERE YOU ACQUAINTED WITH THE DECEDANT?
A. YES, SIR.
Q.  BEFORE OR AFTER HE DIED?

ITS ANOTHER COLD BUT BRIGHT AND SUNNY DAY.

CAROL......ITS SUCH A SHAME ABOUT THOSE ROSES.  THEY ARE NORMALLY SO LOVELY.  I HOPE THEY MANAGE TO MAKE IT THRU THE STORMY WEATHER AND REBLOOM SOON WHEN IT WARMS UP.

TRISH......YOU SURE ARE STAYING ACTIVE.  IT MUST BE NICE TO SEW YOUR OWN CLOTHING.  I USED TO MANY, MANY YEARS AGO, FOR ME AND MY GRANDDAUS.  THEY WERE ALL SIMPLE PATTERNS BUT VERY PLEASANT, FROM TOPS TO SKIRTS AND DRESSES, TO AN EVENING DRESS, TO PANT SUITS.  I'M SURE YOU ARE ENJOYING THE EXPERIENCE.  ONCE YOU LEARN A METHOD, IT WILL HELP MAKE MORE FOR YOURSELF.  IN COLORS, FABRICS,  AND STYLES YOU PREFER THE MOST.  KEEP AT IT GIRL.

I DID A BIT BETTER AT BINGO LAST NITE.  I ONLY LOST 50 CENTS.  THAT'S AN IMPROVEMENT.
I WAS BUSY YESTERDAY.  I CLEARED OUT BOTH MY FLATWARE AND UTENSIL DRAWERS IN THE KITCHEN, WASHED EVERYTHING AND SCRUBBED DOWN THE CABINET DOORS UNDER SAME.  I HAD A CHANCE TO REORGANIZE ITE ALL.   I FIGURE I WILL FIND STUFF TO HEAVE OUT IN THE OTHER CABINETS.  I WILL DO ONE OR TWO OF THEM NEXT WEDNESDAY.
TODAY I WILL BE SCRUBBING DOWN THE KITCHEN COUNTERS.   ALSO DUSTING THE FURNITURE.  I HOPE TO HOLD TO MY PLAN TO KEEP MY APT IN ORDER.  IT WILL DEPEND ON HOW I FEEL EACH DAY BUT IF I MISS IT ONE WEEK, I CAN DO IT THE NEXT.  EACH DAY HAS SOMETHING LISTED TO CLEAN/REORGANIZE.

I AM STILL READING DURING THE DAY, PLAYING SOLITAIRE ON MY PUTER, WATCHING FAVORITE TV SHOWS, AND NOW AND THEN WORKING ON MY JIGSAW PUZZLE IN THE COMMUNITY ROOM.  I HAVE MY CHARCOALS NOW AND THINK I WILL TRY MY HAND AT THAT ONCE AGAIN.  ITS BEEN YEARS SINCE I DABBLED IN THEM AND I WAS ONLY A BEGINNER.  I HOPE TO FIND A BOOK ONLINE THAT WILL HELP ME WITH MY LESSONS IN THAT REGARD.

THAT'S IT LADIES.  NO PARTICULAR RECIPE ON THE BOOKS FOR TODAY SO I GUESS IT WILL BE SOMETHING SIMPLE LIKE SALAD AND A SANDWICH OR MAYBE SOME SARDINES AND CRACKERS.  IT CERTAINLY COULD HELP MY WAISTLINE.  I MAY HAVE LOST A COUPLE POUNDS BUT HAVEN'T STEPPED ON THE SCALE YET.  I'VE BEEN DISAPPOINTED TOO MUCH.  I LIKE MY SNACKS, DARN IT.
HUGS FOR ALL.  QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

Carol and Trish... I have a call into the neuro (yesterday) and am waiting for a call back.
His notes say to "take Excedrin sparinglyl. Alternatively, Ubrelvy/Nurtec can be considered instead".  Nurtec is the generic and it's prescribed for migraines.  If I don't hear back soon this morning, I'll call again.  He has a nice asst. who fields his calls.
Prior to the first headache that we took him to the hospital for, he was taking nothing new and the only new one now is water pill which he'd taken in the past.  He has been  taking something called Live Pure that I didn't know he'd gotten.   Bill looked it up and it  is an herbal thing.  I didn't even know about it until now!  He's refusing to drop it but I'm going to tell the asst. about it.  He can be compliant or he can be resistant.  You never know...
ETA :Just got that call back.  Dr. has samples of Ubrelvy to try.  We have to clear it with our pharmacist that it doesn't interact with any of his current meds first.

We got about 3 inches of snow overnight and it's still coming down, lightly.  Surprised me!

Need to go and get ready.  Have a good day and bless you all for trying to help me through this.

Indy

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

We didn't get any snow, thank goodness, only cold temps...which will be over with in 3 more nights.

Theresa, it's sad when the medical team doesn't know a patient's full medical history and they don't care enough to learn. Sending prayers for your Mom.

My wounds have not healed. The stitches are still there, but still oozes a little. Not sure what the doctor will say Monday. He wants me to start radiation as soon as possible, but the wounds need to be healed. I read on the internet this is very common, but doctors sure don't tell you beforehand.

I learned a new word today, "ghosting." I watched a movie and she said "you left your GF and you ghosted her." I have never heard this before.

Sandra, You Tube videos will be a big help to you as well. Enjoy your new venture into charcoal art.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

Trish, how nice that you sew clothing!.. I cannot do that at all.  I tried to make some simple shorts for my boys when they were little, but that did not turn out well at all.  Wasted money on fabric and would have been better to just buy the shorts.  Our finances were quite tight when the boys were small because we only had one income since I stayed home with them.  I tried one other time to make a sun dress for Amelia.  It was simple enough with fabric from Joanns.  All I had to do was put straps on and sew on seam since the fabric was gathered at the top.  That worked out OK.

Judy, prayers for Howard; hope you find some answers soon.
I have never used a grocery delivery either.

It is a little warmer today, about 20 degrees, so not too bad.  It is "fluffing" snow and we have about 5 or 6 inches on the ground.   Dean and I went to the gym to walk and then to get some groceries.   I have him go with me now so he can learn his way around a grocery store.

I made vegetable beef soup today and have a loaf of bread in the oven.  I have to do some bloodwork tomorrow, so the carbs are not the best for me with the bread, but I know I will have some for sure.

I finished my quilt yesterday, so I need to find another project.

Q.  WHAT HAPPENED NEXT?
A.  HE TOLD ME, HE SAYS, "I HAVE TO KILL YOU BECAUSE YOU CAN IDENTIFY ME."
Q.  DID HE KILL YOU?
A.  NO.

ANOTHER.....
Q.  OFFICER, WHAT LED YOU TO BELIEVE THE DEFENDANT WAS UNDER THE INFLUENCE?
A.  BECAUSE HE WAS ARGUMENTARY, AND HE COULDN'T PRONUNCIATE HIS WORDS.

ANOTHER BRIGHT SUNSHINY DAY BUT COLD.  IT HIT 3 BELOW ZERO LAST NITE.

I AWAIT THE MAINT. GUY TO CHECK MY STOVE VENT'S FIRE-PLUG.  I HAVE BEEN CLEANING ALREADY.  I NEED TO START EARLY SINCE I NEED TO TAKE BREAKS A LOT.
I HAVE BOTH CHICKEN BREAST AND HAMBURGER DEFROSTING BUT HAVE NO IDEA YET WHAT TO COOK, THO I HOPE TO MAKE MASHED TATERS LATER
YESTERDAY I ORDERED 4 BOOKS  FROM THRIFTBOOKS THAT SHOULD HELP ME WITH MY CHARCOAL DRAWING INCLUDING HOW TO DO ANIMALS AND FLOWERS AND LANDSCAPES.  I WANT TO DO IT RIGHT.
I ALSO WORKED MY JIGSAW PUZZLE A BIT AND DID MY LAPS IN THE HALLWAY.  SLEPT PRETTY GOOD LAST NITE THO NOT AS LONG AS I'D HOPED.  I MAY CATCH A NAP LATER.
RIGHT NOW I AM IN THE MIDDLE OF SCRUBBING MY 3 SINKS AND THE COUNTERS AROUND THEM.  EVEN TO DOING THE DRAINS.  I AM ON A ROLL AND DON'T WANT TO STOP SO MY LIST EACH DAY SHOULD GET ME IN GOOD SHAPE.  ONCE ITS SPOTLESS, THE DAILY CHORES TO KEEP IT CLEAN SHOULD BE A SNAP.
I STARTED A NEW MYSTERY BOOK.  SOUNDS GOOD.  IT WILL KEEP ME HAPPY BETWEEN MY OTHER FUN THINGS.
I ONLY REGRET I HAVE NOT SEWN SINCE THE MIDDLE OF DEC.  I HAVE SOME THINGS I NEED TO FINISH BUT CAN'T SEEM TO GET IN THE MOOD.  I HOPE I WILL BE 'SEW HAPPY' SOON.

DEVONNE.......SORRY THAT YOUR STITCHES DON'T SEEM TO BE HEALING FAST ENOUGH FOR YOU.  MOTHER NATURE CAN'T BE RUSHED.  IN THE MEANTIME, YOU ARE DOING FINE.

CHERYL......I CAN'T DO ZIPPERS.  WHEN I SEWED CLOTHING IT HAD TO BE BUTTONS.  I DID A ZIPPER OR TWO BUT JUST DIDN'T FEEL I COULD DO THEM EASY ENOUGH.  I STRUGGLED TO GET THEM RIGHT.
MMMMMM HOMEMADE BREAD AND VEGGIE SOUP.  I WOULD FLY OVER IF I HAD A PLANE.  I HAVE A RECIPE FOR FRESH BREAD BUT HAVEN'T TRIED IT YET.  MAYBE ONE DAY SOON.

FOR ALL OF YOU IN THE SOUTH I HOPE THE TEMPS RISE SOON AND YOU CAN GET BACK ON TRACK WEATHERWISE.  IT MUST BE AWFUL TO FIGHT THAT UNFAMILIAR SNOW AND ICE.
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD DAY.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

Some sad news.  Our very own Joan's (Charmingsister) sister, Terrimae Smith, died after some months of illness.  If you have ever been on any of our retreats, they usually attended.  I'm on the ball with a quilt for her.

If you want to send her a card, PM or email me for her address.  If you want me to include it when I send the quilt, just send it to me.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

Yes, Carol. I got to know both of them at the Charlotte Retreat. I had dinner with them the first night.  (Howard chose not to go.)  Great girls and fun.    So sorry I to hear this about Terri.   Joni and Terri were very close.  Once again, thanks for doing the quilt.  You're the best.

We got out yesterday and I drove us to, first the neuro's office to pick up some samples of Ubrelvy and then on to W-M.  The temperature had risen to 23 and it was sunny and still.  I am going to have to drive for awhile so it was a good trip and I had no trouble, didn't even feel that rusty.
Another headache last evening so he took the med as directed at the onset.  He could take another after two hours if needed and he did.  That along with trying the heating pad instead of the cold washcloth he'd been using, got rid of the headache  So now, the Dr. has sent a scrip to our pharmacy.  I won't speculate on what will happen with the rather odd directions for taking it.

QB, I've never had a piece of charcoal in my hand.  Have no idea of that craft/art?  Will your drawings be framed or how do you display them?  Guess from what you said, you've done this before.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Now it's time to get supper.  Hamburger steak  and prepared mashed potatoes and gravy.  And frozen broccoli.     We've been snacking so I'm not hungry.
He is, I'm sure.  Have a good evening.

JUDY.........YES, I STARTED TO LEARN TO DO CHARCOALS MANY YEARS AGO.  I THOUGHT I SHOULD POST SOME I DID BACK THEN.

COUGAR AND HORSE

GREAT DANE

ARABIAN HORSE

WINTER MAILBOX

STEAMBOAT

YOU PUT THEM IN MATS.  THESE ARE THE ONES I DID SO MANY YEARS AGO.  I HAPPENED TO FIND THEM LOOKING FOR SOMETHING IN MY CLOSET AND THOUGHT I WOULD LIKE TO TAKE IT UP AGAIN.  I ENJOYED IT.  I ALSO FOUND SOME DRAWING PAPER IN 2 SIZES TO WORK WITH.
IT WILL BE ANOTHER WAY TO USE MY CREATIVITY.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

So very sorry for Joni's loss. Carol, you are amazing!

Today is the first day I have felt like myself since the surgery on 12/16. Last night I vacuumed the living room (part of it) and today I shampooed a small area (high traffic zone). I like carpet in the bedrooms, but I wish I had LVP in the main areas.

I had mashed potatoes, kale and cornbread for dinner. Sometimes I just don't want any meat.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 19 JANUARY ~ SAT 25 JANUARY

CAROL that is sad news, I am so sorry, you have a generous heart, thank you ((((hugs))))

DEVONNE try to add little protein to your meals, it does help, I'm glad you feel better, sorry the wound is not healing well, it will get better, just taking it's own sweet time.

SANDRA you have such talent, I am so jealous of people who are creative, my limit is 'stick' figures, and even those are not good, Dean is a fabulous artist, don't know where he gets it from, not me that's for sure, good news on the small Bingo loss, wish it had been a positive and not negative though

INDY hopefully the meds will help, maybe he just needs a change in them certainly tell them about the other thing he's taking, sometimes they do things to upset the apple cart, I went to a naturopath years ago, she told me to take this tablet to 'clear my veins' my Dr was furious - I ended up in hospital, it cleared my veins alright, could have had a stroke, he wanted to report her, it was my fault though for following her, never again.

CHERYL I forgot to comment, YIKES, the card only just arrived, that must be a new record, even if I had posted early it wouldn't have got there, our post is pretty ordinary here at the moment too.

I finished my top, I am NOT a  dressmaker by any means, I am not happy with the neckline, I might need to do it again, I used to make my clothes years ago, and also made the kids clothes, especially when Megan was little, she had some cute things, I was reasonable then, now not so much, took me a while, maybe I'll try a pattern and see how I go, this was so different and the fabric was slippery, even the seam allowance so different, it was 1/2" seam, and I am so used to my 1/4" it felt strange.

I went to training this morning, my friend Joyce will be away now till May, she is  heading to Europe with her sister, she originally came from Hong Kong, and they will head there at the end of their trip to Spain and Italy, her sis is doing a course in Sienna and she has to go there for a week for it, mostly it's online. She will be back for a while in March then back to Europe again in April, I am a bit envious, she will be in Barcelona and along the coast of Italy, a couple of gorgeous places we loved.

It was hot today, the A/C is still on, and it will be hotter still tomorrow and then every day till 40C+  on Tuesday.
It's Australia Day tomorrow, M & G and Dean have gone away for the weekend, their caravan has A/C so they will be fine, they'll be home on Monday, it's a public holiday as the actual day is on a Sunday

The Mr will be bowling - again - that will be Friday, Sat and Sunday. His body will let him know that was a bad idea LOL

I want to finish the last of my Temp quilt, still not done, maybe tomorrow!!
