November went by quickly! Hello, December!

BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHERYL!!! so sorry I missed it, I can see you enjoyed a nice day, and hopefully the weather didn't get worse ((((hugs))))
SANDRA got a laugh from your funnies too, I have had internet problems, they seem to have been fixed today, too frustrating --- yuk, yuk, we do rely on these things, they cut through a power line, and it's then days on and off to restore, comes on, then drops again, so far so good this afternoon.
Loved your plans for Turkey day
Thinking of you DEVONNE I am glad the family was around to help out, and it sounds like you had a lovely day,
INDY same for you, so nice to have some low key plans for Christmas, with I could say the same, his sis is coning here, but only overnight, UNLESS someone gets sick. Is it awful to hope that one of us is sick, but not too sick?? The she would not be able to be here.
You all sound like you had an enjoyable day for Thanksgiving! We don't celebrate, but I am trying to prepare for Christmas LOL not getting very far yet!
I did at least get some circles cut for the jam jars, now to find a way to get them to stay there, I think I need some rubber bands, the lids are so close to the top and there isn't really a groove I can use, lesson to self, CHECK the jars before you buy them for attaching ribbons etc!!
I also have been washing lots, between watching if the power goes out. I found some clothes I hadn't worn in years, but they are still good, and we can take them on the cruise.
We had only cold meals quite a few nights, the temps were crazy, and it didn't cool down at night much, still in the high 80s, but humidity was around 90-95% every day I Just now it's getting a little cooler, I was able to get my groceries, but it bucketed down when I left the store, at least the car got a little cleaner!!
I want to get this posted, just in case LOL

Two old friends crossed paths after not seeing one another for almost a decade.
Joe: "What are you doing these days?"
Tom: "PHD."
Joe: "Wow! You're a doctor!"
Tom: "No, Pizza Home Delivery."
GORGEOUS DAY HERE AND COLD BUT AT LEAST THE SUN IS SHINING.
TRISH.......I'M CROSSING MY FINGERS THAT SIL DOES NOT VISIT. THERE MAY BE A MINOR REASON FOR HER NOT TO AND YOU CAN ENJOY THE HOLIDAYS.
SORRY FOR THE PUTER ISSUES. ITS SO MUCH A PART OF OUR LIVES THESE DAYS. WHATEVER WOULD WE DO WITHOUT IT NOW.
JUDY........SORRY YOU HAVE THOSE BOUTS OF BOREDOM.
I CAN UNDERSTAND. I, TOO, GET THEM NOW AND THEN. MY WAY TO GET THRU THEM IS TO PULL OUT MY 'DREAM BOOK' AND READ THRU IT OR ADD TO IT. ITS A NOTEBOOK WHERE IS HAVE JOTTED DOWN ALL THE THINGS I WOULD DO IF MONEY WAS NO OBJECT. LIKE BUILDING A TOWN TO MY LIKING, MAKING APT HOUSES AND SINGLES HOUSES A PRIORITY WITH HARD-WORKING AMERICANS BEING SUB-SIDIZED BY ME TO LIVE IN A NICE HOME. A SAFE PLACE TO RAISE THEIR KIDS. NO LAY-ABOUTS WANTED HERE.
I'VE CREATED HOMES FOR MILITARY, BOTH RETIRED AND DISABLED WHO HAVE SERVED FAITHFULLY, AND SUB-SIDIZED SO THEY CAN AFFORD THEM. THEY ALSO INCLUDE POLICE, FIREFIGHTERS, EMTS.
I HAVE INVENTIVE IDEAS THAT COULD BE USEFUL TO OTHERS SO I JOT THOSE DOWN. THINGS LIKE GLASS-PANE DECALS TO PREVENT BIRDS FROM BREAKING THEIR NECKS. WE LOSE TONS OF BIRDS A YEAR FROM THAT DISASTER. THESE DECALS WOULD BE SEE-THRU FROM THE INSIDE SO SUNLIGHT WOULD NOT BE LOST INDOORS. BARNS FOR HOMESTEADERS THAT ARE SITUATED TO MAKE THE MOST OF THEIR USE AND SAVING STEPS AND NOT HAVING TO FIGHT THE ELEMENTS BEING BUILT WITH AN ELL ONTO THE GARAGE.
LOTS OF MY IDEAS HAVE TO DO WITH HOMESTEADING AND MAKING THINGS EASIER OR ADDING NATURAL NUTRIENTS TO GARDENS. THAT BOOK IS STUFFED. AND NOW AND THEN I ADD A NEW IDEA. THE BIRD PANES WAS THE LATEST IDEA JUST THIS WEEK AFTER SEEING A PROGRAM WHERE A KESTREL KNOCKED ITSELF OUT HITTING A WINDOW. I FIND WHEN I'M DONE GOING THRU THAT NOTEBOOK, I FEEL REFRESHED. I JUST WISH I HAD UNLIMITED FUNDS TO DO ALL OF THOSE THINGS.
I ALSO HAVE SEVERAL INVENTIONS LISTED AND DRAWN IN THAT NOTEBOOK, THINGS TO MAKE IT EASIER FOR FOLKS OR MEDICALLY HELPFUL.
I WISH I COULD GET BACK TO SEWING AND QUILTING. IT HELPED ME A LOT FIGHTING THE BOREDOM, BUT THAT'S TOUGH FOR ME TO HANDLE MOST TIMES.
I'M GLAD YOUR READING DOES THE TRICK FOR YOU.
ITS MY DAY OF REST AND ALSO DEC. 1ST BUT NO DECORATING FOR ME YET TODAY. JUST THINKING OF DIGGING INTO MY CLOSET FOR XMAS STUFF IS TIRING. I WILL ENJOY MY DAY OFF TODAY AND WORRY ABOUT THAT ANOTHER DAY.
TOMORROW I WANT TO START MAKING OUT MY XMAS CARDS. MY XMAS STAMPS SHOULD BE ARRIVING MONDAY OR TUESDAY. I WOULD LIKE TO USE THOSE FOR THE CARDS.
HAVE A GOOD DAY MY FRIENDS. HUGS, QB S

I have my electric blanket, tv, electric fireplace & recliner remotes. What more does a woman need on a chilly night, lol? and my two dogs at my feet.
I only have the flames going on the fireplace, no heat. Had to turn off the blanket. Not cold in here.
Sandra, I love your dream book. My dream would be to have dog rescue shelters with plenty of acreage fenced for the dogs to run and enjoy life.
Trish, hopefully, it's only one night. Not good to have unwanted company, lol. I would be miserable.
I bought a 40" tv from Walmart to put in the spare bedroom. Gary and Emily are planning to stay here after my surgery. It's being delivered tomorrow.
I got some of my Christmas decorations out of one closet and put them on the bed. That's as far as I got, lol. I hope to organize them and get them all in one closet after Christmas.

An Amish husband, wife and son travel to the city on vacation. They visit a shopping mall and while the mother is shopping, the father and son are standing in awe in front of an elevator (having no idea what it is). As they watch, an elderly lady walks into the strange silver doors and the doors close. The father and son watch as the numbers go up, and then back down. When the doors open, a beautiful young woman walks out. The father leans over and whispers to the son, "Son, go get your mother!"
BRRRR, ITS A COLD ONE THIS MORNNG. IT WAS ONLY 17 AT 6 O'CLOCK. ITS SUNNY BUT NO SNOW IN SIGHT.
DEVONNE......I JUST LOVE YOUR FIREPLACE. I THINK ITS SUCH A SOOTHING THING, WATCHING A FIRE. YOU SURE SOUND LIKE YOU ARE COMFY AND ENJOYING YOUR EVENING.
HOW NICE FOR YOUR FAMILY TO GET A NEW BIG TV FOR YOUR GUEST ROOM. YOU ARE ONE THOUGHTFUL MAMA.
AS FOR MY DREAM TOWN, I WOULD NEVER FORGET MY DOGS. LOVE THEM TOO MUCH. IN MY TOWN THERE IS A 'K-9 ACADEMY.' SHELTER DOGS ARE BROUGHT THERE FOR TRAINING. LARGE ONES MOSTLY TRAINED AS POLICE DOGS, SECURITY, AND SEARCH AND RESCUE. OTHERS AS THERAPY AND SERVICE DOGS AND EVEN THE TINY ONES ARE OBEDIENCE TRAINED SO THEY MAKE WELCOME HOUSEHOLD PETS AND THERAPY PALS. EVERY COP, GAME WARDEN AND SECURITY GUARD HAS A K-9 PARTNER 24/7.
DREAM TOWN EVEN BOASTS A 'PET DAY CARE' WHERE WORKING HUMANS CAN BRING THEIR DOGS FOR THE DAY OR NIGHT. THE DOGS GET HUMAN COMPANIONSHIP AND OTHER DOGS TO PLAY DAILY OR JUST AN ODD DAY NOW AND THEN. DOGS CAN BE BOARDED AND GET LOVE AND ATTENTION. OTHER PETS CAN ALSO BE BOARDED FOR SHORT- AND LONG-TERM. PET SITTERS AT THE HOMES ARE AVAILABLE TOO. BOARDED PETS CAN BE DOGS, CATS, BIRDS, GERBILS, LIZARDS, WHATEVER IS A LOVING PET. I LOVE THEM ALL.
I AM CRAVING POTATO PANCAKES (LITHUANIAN BELINKIS) WITH SOUR CREAM. HAND GRATING IT TOUGH FOR ME WITH POTATOES BUT I WILL MANAGE AT LEAST A FEW. SOME IS BETTER THAN NONE IN MY BOOK. I MAY TRY ONE THRU MY CHEESE GRATER TO SEE IF IT WORKS. AND YES, I STILL HAVE SOME LEFTOVERS BUT NOT MUCH NOW. I HOPE TO FINISH THEM OFF BY TOMORROW.
WISHING YOU ALL A GREAT DAY. HUGS, QB S

Back to normal today. Whatever that is. Howard went to Mich. City by himself for gas and to Harbor Freight. Then, the opposite direction to the W-M that fills our Rx-s, since the H. F. in our town didn't have the item he wanted. I stayed home. It's so cold and I wasn't feeling the best. Am fine now, just not a morning person in any way, shape or form!
Yesterday, (Sun.) we had our Christmas lunch with our small group. We both ordered Pesto's Seafood Alfredo. It was delicious and we have enough for our supper tonight. Afterward, we were all invited to one of their homes for dessert and continued our visiting, including singing some carols. Got home after dark which we seldom do...drive after dark. That is our one and only planned outing for the Christmas season. And yesterday was Danny's 54th birthday. Sent him a text as that seems to be the standard way of greeting, now.
Trish, it seems like such a chore to have her for just one night. All that traveling and getting her settled for that brief a visit. I'm glad it's not longer, but shame on your BIL for pushing that off on you! None of my business and not trying to make it worse for you so I'm sorry for popping off.
Devonne, thanks for the picture. How cozy and pretty it is. I just got done talking to my one remaining girl classmate and that's exactly what she did in her older years--ran a dog shelter for unwanted elder dogs. For some time she's not accepted any more so they have gradually succumbed one at a time til now they're all gone. I'm glad to hear the Emily and Gary will stay with you while you recuperate. Hugs.
QB, wish you (and I) could come up with some easy, rewarding hand work to fill the creative bones we have. When I do it, I find it fulfilling and calming. I still have December's 29 more days to work on my one-square-per-day of weaving embroidery thread thru a mesh-like fabric that I've been doing for the 2nd year. I am rather tired of doing this plus I can't work ahead because those days haven't been yet! (I sometimes (often) get behind and need to catch up.) But want to do something, anything that's different for the coming year. And probably not a daily thing, again. These cloths serve no practical purpose but I don't care about that, anyway for this endeavor. But, like Holly does, I want to be making something useful, again.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, I've had a long phone call with ML and now it's time to think about supper, actually no thinking tonight. It's waiting in the frig.

Worked more on my Christmas decorations today. I can't do much at a time because of my bad back, so I have to take breaks.
Judy and Sandra, this is where I will be recuperating. I have an appointment Wednesday so hope to get a surgery date. I will be meeting with the oncologist to discuss my treatment plan(s) after surgery. Emily is going with me.
I watched a lady on YT that had a double M and she didn't have a power recliner. She said she left her chair in a reclined position, crossed her arms over her chest and practiced getting in and out. How sad is that!
I don't like it getting dark so early. Tonight it was almost completely dark at 5:45.

Two factory workers are talking. The woman says, "I can make the boss give me the day off." The man replies, "And how would you do that?" The woman says, "Just wait and see." She then hangs upside down from the ceiling. The boss comes in and says, "What are you doing?" The woman replies, "I'm a light bulb." The boss then says, "You've been working so much that you've gone crazy. I think you need to take the day off." The man starts to follow her and the boss says, "Where are you going?" The man says, "I'm going home, too. I can't work in the dark."
COLDDDD AND SUNNY HERE. SNOW MAY HIT US ON THURSDAY.
I MADE POTATO PANCAKES LAST NITE. I THOUGHT I WOULD ONLY GRATE 3 OF THEM. IT WORKS. I CAN MANAGE TO DO 3 TATERS AND THEY PROVIDE ME WITH ENOUGH FOR A REASONABLE MEAL PLUS A BIT OF LEFTOVERS. SUITS ME.
I DREW A GNOME FOR ANOTHER DOOR HANGING. THIS WILL BE IN XMAS FABRICS. I REALLY WANT TO GET BACK TO MY REPLIQUE WORK. I THINK IF I SET MY CLOCK FOR A HALF HOUR AND DON'T WORK BEYOND THAT TIME, I CAN MANAGE IT. I COULD DO THIS IN THE MORNING AND THE AFTERNOONS AND GET SOME CUTE PROJECTS DONE.
THERESA.....THANK FOR FOR THE FAMILY PHOTO CARD. I ENJOY GETTING YOUR XMAS MESSAGE WITH IT. THUMBS UP.
JUDY. ...AS TO HANDWORK, I'VE BEEN THINKING MAYBE HAND APPLIQUE PROJECTS. I HAVE SOME PATTERNS I THINK WILL WORK WELL FOR THAT TYPE OF PROJECT. MANY YEARS AG0 THAT'S HOW QUILTING WAS DONE ANYWAY, BY HAND, FROM START TO FINISH. SINCE MY PROJECTS ARE SMALL I COULD GET SOME THINGS FINISHED IN A FEW MONTHS.
DEVONNE......YOU ARE SMART TO SET YOURSELF UP FOR THE COMING WEEKS SO THINGS ARE EASIER FOR YOU. GARY AND EMILY ARE COMING TO STAY IS WONDERFUL. YOU CAN JUST DO WHAT THE DR ORDERS AND LET THEM WORRY ABOUT MEALS AND THE HOUSE. A GOOD PLAN.
TRISH.....I FOUND ANOTHER CHANNEL ON OUR TV THAT SHOWS MIDSOME MURDER MOVIES. I AM THRILLED. I CAN'T SEEM TO GET ENOUGH OF THOSE.
I HOPE YOU ARE DOING WELL AND THE EXERCISE PROGRAM MOVES ALONG AND KEEPS YOU HUMMING.
I AWAIT MY LIBRARIAN, SALLY, WITH A NEW BOOK TO READ. I HAVE PLENTY HERE BUT I LIKE TO SEE WHAT SHE CAN FIND THAT IS A BIT DIFFERENT.
WELL LADIES, ITS LEFTOVERS TODAY. I HAVE ENOUGH.
I PLAN TO MAKE BUNDIES (LITHUANIAN MEAT PASTIES) AND TATER TOT SAUSAGE CASSEROLE FOR MY SON THIS WEEKEND. YUP, ITS TIME FOR GROCERYT SHOPPING AGAIN. I NEED TO CHECK MY STORES TO SEE IF I NEED ANYTHING FOR MY XMAS GOODIES. I'D HATE TO BE CAUGHT SHORT.
I ALSO NEED TO GET STARTED ON MY XMAS CARDS TODAY.
BE SAFE MY FRIENDS. HUGS, QB S

Speaking about other than machine piecing/quilting, I do wool embroidery, sashiko and crazy quilting by hand. These travel well, except for when I’m adding beads to my CQ.
Very cold here again, sunny and no wind makes it tolerable.

Thanks, Janet for those suggestions. I find that while I have and see ideas, the gathering of fabric and supplies stalls me so I just talk about it and I never get started on anything. That is the nice thing about counted cross stitch. It's all the same thing, after pulling or buying the various colors of thread, and getting started, it's pretty mindless with no decisions to make and you see your progress easily. But, my old eyes and the many I did that are sitting in a drawer prevent me from going that route, again. Don't mind me...I'm just noodling at your expense. I did hem a pr. of plaid p.j. pants last week. Was at risk of tripping on them they were so long. I plan to wear them around here during the day.
Yes, thanks Theresa. The kids look like 2 men and a woman. What happened to your kids? Oh, I forgot, you were hoping for an empty nest by now.
We've never seen you with short hair. Looks good. Are you going to grow it again? You all look happy and healthy.
As I told you, we have new neighbors in the woods. He has been busily gathering and clearing out and burning around the trees. Today, when I looked over and saw someone tramping around, I suggested to Howard that it would be nice if he walked over, introduced himself and got acquainted with the man. And (wonder of wonders) he did!
So now, we know his name is Andrew, he's 33 and they have 6 kids, five boys and a new baby girl. He taught school for 10 yrs. in a twp. in the south part of our county Howard thinks he's a builder now. H. can't hear well so he's not sure but he thinks that it was mentioned that he plans to build some houses on the property. It's 8 1/2 acres, mostly wooded. That is course, is a bummer and a worry to us, but as we preach all the time--it's his property, he can do what he wants with it. The good thing is, the property line was addressed and Andrew is well aware of where it is and he is not encroaching on our side, even though it looks like where our yard ends would also be the prop. line. Not so, it extends 10 to 15 ft. into the woods. (We've had trouble with two neighbors before who encroached.) We never did anything about it, but it was troubling, especially in town with smaller properties. Sorry for rattling on and on, but not much exciting happens in our lives.
QB, did you hand grate your taters or did you cheese grinder work for that? So nice of you to reward Matt for what he does for you. At least if you applique by hand, it's easily picked up and put down if you tire or need to.
Devonne, nice you're getting your decorating for Christmas done bit by bit. I haven't done a any yet, but we did talk about getting our fiber optic tree upstairs and set up. This is earlier than usual. The glimpses we get of your home always look so pretty.
I need to eat some lunch. Have to get ready after that as ML is picking me up to go to the funeral home in an hour. One of my deceased classmate's husband died on Thanksgiving Day. He lived over 18 years after her and was 90. It'll be nice to see all Bernadine & Don's children again and his siblings who I also went to school with. Yesterday, I called my classmate, Roger, who now lives in Iowa and my remaining girl classmate who lives 35 miles from here to tell them of this passing. Seems to be my job, now...

Devonne, your fireplace looks so pretty. We thought about getting one for the living room, but it has such an open layout that there is not really a place for one.
It has been very cold and is supposed to be all week. Not much snow in my area but Ashland county (about 1 hour NE from me) got 3 feet due to the lake being so warm. Lake Erie can be wicked for NE Ohio , Erie Pa and Buffalo New York. My friend's son is an over the road trucker and he was stuck in Erie Pa for three nights.
I made grilled cheese sandwiches today in the air fryer. We like them better on a griddle and a griddle is much quicker. They were good but nothing special.
I joined the YMCA today so I could walk daily indoors. It is a boring round and round walk, but I can do my 2 miles without worry of falling on ice. I am not a fan of exercise! But I do it because it keeps my blood pressure in check.

SANDRA I just love your ideas, what an amazing place that would be, you know I love MidSomer, I can watch again and again, currently watching Rosemary & Thyme, you would like that too.
On the subject of doing something, for you and INDY I do Sashiko, very easy to pick up and leave again, I will take it on the cruise next week, they used to have a "sit & stitch" every day when we last cruised. Julie knows and is also bringing something.
You do need a Sashiko needle and the thread, and you have the fabric marked already with lines, I find it really relaxing LOL it keeps changing that word to sashimi LOL
INDY we'll have similar problems next door I expect when they decide to build, not the boundaries so much, just the mess and noise, oh well, it HAS been quiet for 40+ years.. We'll go from 1 old home and loads of land to probably 6 houses YIKES!!!
DEVONNE so beautiful a place to recover, you will do well there, and good for you getting the TV for them, they will appreciate it AND you will have your own TV to use without worrying about what they might like to watch, Win, win!!!
CHERYL I have seen people make plenty of things in the air fryer, but I would think some just need to be cooked the regular way. I got a new cook book, and it has some great ideas, I just think sometimes if I have to cook in the airfryer for 20-30 mins I may as well use the oven or stove top LOL
JANET I am taking my Sashiko with me, and I am now using a silk thread, got it at the last quilt show, normally I use the cotton thread but they silk is gorgeous, it's variegated and she also sold me the needle to use, smaller than the regular sashiko one. The silk is hand dyed and so pretty. Which reminds me, I want to overlock or zigzag around the edges of the fabric before I take it. They do fray a little and it's annoying!
CAROL I replied to your email, thank you!
I had a really productive day yesterday, got my mailing done to the US, also got my jam wrapped (?) it's looking pretty anyway, for the girls, got Julie a jigsaw puzzle and she'll get that for Christmas, got some clothing sorted, went through bras and PJs and have a whole bag to donate. Plus got my temperature quite going again, I have finished September now, only Oct and Nov to catch up on.
The jam jars were a problem, I even ought new pinking shears and got some pretty fat 1/4s, but that didn't work out, so I found some cellophane small bags, cut them down and then tied pretty ribbon and the gift tags. So the shears DID get used a little, what a waste, I will test things first if I ever do that again.
I want to gt some Christmas things out, I have a feeling we may get covid on the cruise ship, there are reports of lots of it around, We'll use our nasal rinse a few times a day and hope that will help.
also need to get some good wipes to wipe everything down and remember to use our sanitiser all the time. It will happen if it does, and we'll be back on a Monday, so easy to get a Drs prescription when we get home and have it filled.
The Mr will have fin tomorrow, his sis as you know has loads of problems, she has had a spot a couple times show on her disposable undies, they asked would we like to take her for a scan, I would have said "no" I suspect her skin is raw and she has no other symptoms, BUT BIL (GRRR) wants her tested, he's not home till tomorrow so the Mr has a appt for a scan, she has to drink 3 glasses of water in 1 hour before the test, and NOT go to the bathroom -- should be fun, she can't/won't do any of that, she hung up on him today when he tried to tell her. LOL She will rarely have more than 2 mouthfuls of water, and she simply refuses any more.
p.s. I have mailed to you all for Christmas however --- as always I DO NOT want anyone feeling like they need to send to me ((((hugs)))) I just get a kick out of sending Aussie cards LOL

Finished decorating today...it's just sitting things out and about. Just getting everything out is tiring. It does help with the holiday mood!
When going thru Christmas stuff, I found all my Christmas cards from last year. I enjoyed looking at each one of them. I don't think I will be getting out Christmas cards this year.
Cheryl, this past March I bought a fireplace from Walmart to put in my bedroom. I took my time putting it together. The instructions were excellent. You can also use it with just the flame, no heat. I love it just for the look and the ambiance. They look so real. You can even buy crackling fire noise for an electric fireplace. I'll post a picture below.
Sorry for the dark picture. The flames aren't showing up at all, but there are flames.

Where is Holly and BJ?
I forgot to comment on people moving around you. We had 3.5 acres at our last house. Someone bought the land behind us and build a beautiful house. There was one strange narrow 1/2 acre right behind our property that separated our land from his land/house that was owned by another neighbor. He moved and our new neighbor bought this 1/2 acre from him and build an open building behind us to park his lawn mower, etc. Billy was so mad because it was right at his garden, a foot from our property line. He decided to plant leyland cypress trees right on the property line. They grew fast and big and eventually hid the building and their house! It did what he wanted to accomplish. This guy was a fantastic neighbor, but I'm sure with the trees he knew Billy was pis#sed.
We both got upset when Greg moved away in 2016 and our new neighbor cut down all the beautiful trees. That guy moved away and the new neighbor put up a chain link fence all the way around his property. Billy hated it and regretted giving Greg the land, lol. In 2017, we decided to start preparing to move. Two years later and I was a widow.

Hi! It’s been a while since I posted so I’ll catch you up on my life. I enjoyed my Thanksgiving visit with David and his family. Time with family is always so sweet, especially the great grandchildren. I had no problems at all with the drive, traffic was surprisingly light through Memphis on Friday.
My weekend was quiet. We got a little bit of snow Sunday morning so I didn’t go to church, not knowing if parking lot would be slick.
Yesterday I went with 3 quilting friends on a shop hop. We only visited three shops but that was enough for me to get fabric for a Christmas throw quilt and a few pieces to add to what I already have for a couple of other quilts. We had lunch at a great restaurant (people from my home town drive the 2 1/2 hours just to eat there). Best part of my lunch was the turtle pie I had for dessert!
It has been rather cold for the past week but today is going to be warmer. So this afternoon I plan to put up a few outdoor decorations. Indoor decorations will go up after cleaning ladies are here tomorrow.

A young boy comes home from school in a bad mood. His father asks him, "What's wrong, son?" The kid tells his dad that he's upset because another kid has been teasing him and calling him gay. The father says, "Punch him in the face next time he does that. I bet he'll stop." The kid replies, "Yeah, but he's so cute!"
WE'RE EXPECTING ABOUT AN INCH OF SNOW TONITE. ITS IN THE 30S TODAY AND SUNNY SO FAR.
TRISH.....THANK YOU FOR KEEPING UP WITH OUR FORUM'S NEEDS. IF IT WEREN'T FOR YOU I WOULD NOT HAVE SUCH A GOOD DAY. I SO LOOK FORWARD TO TOUCHING BASE WITH MY FRIENDS ON THIS BOARD. ITS A DAILY THING FOR ME.
I, TOO, ENJOY ROSEMARY AND THYME. ITS NOT BEEN ON HERE FOR A FEW YEARS NOW. THEY DIDN'T MAKE TOO MANY OF THEM I GUESS.
I ALWAYS HAD A HARD TIME USING MY PINKING SHEARS. THEY ARE TOUGH TO CUT WITH ON ANYTHING. MINE ARE YEARS OLD NOW.
JUDY......YES, I GRATED MY TATERS BY HAND. I THOUGHT I'D TRY THAT FIRST BEFORE PULLING MY GRATER OUT FROM THE CABINET. IT WORKS OK FOR ME. NOT TOO TIRING.
DEVONNE.....I LOVE THAT PICTURE. FIREPLACES ARE SO WARM AND COZY EVEN WITHOUT HEAT. MY SON HAD ONE AT HIS HOUSE AND IT WAS UNDER THE TV SO THEY USED IT OFTEN. SUCH A RELAXING THING.
GOOD LUCK TODAY WITH YOUR MEDICAL NEWS. POSITIVE THOUGHTS WINGING YOUR WAY.
MARYLOU.....NICE TO SEE YOU POSTING. I REALLY MISS IT WHEN OUR LADIES DON'T CHECK IN OFTEN. ITS A FAMILY FEELING THING.
I HAD TO CALL MY DR'S OFFICE THIS MORNING. APPARENTLY WITH A NEW DR'S ASST. SOMEONE DROPPED THE BALL ON RENEWING ONE OF MY BP SCRIPTS THRU OPTUM RX. THEY SAID THEY WOULD GET RIGHT ON IT.
I WORKED ON MY NEW XMAS GNOME. A HALF HOUR MORNING AND ALSO AFTERNOON. I JUST SET THE CLOCK AND STOP WHEN IT RINGS. I CAN HANDLE THAT LENGTH OF TIME WITHOUT ACHES SO I WILL DO THAT. I REALLY MISSED DOING MY REPLIQUE. ITS MY FAVORITE QUILT EXPERIENCE.
I WILL ALSO CHECK INTO SOME APPLIQUE PATTERN BOOKS I HAVE. I THINK DOING HAND APPLIQUE WILL BE A GOOD THING FOR ME. I HAVE A XMAS TOWN I CAN WORK ON AND ONE BOOK OF QUIRKY HOUSES. I HOPE I CAN FIND THEM. I DID ONE OF THOSE QUIRKY HOUSE BEFORE AND LOVED IT.
I DID NOT SEW THIS MORNING EXCEPT FOR REPAIRING A GARMENT. IT NEEDED A SEAM REINFORCED.
OH, DARN IT, I GAINED 3 LBS OVER THE TURKEY AND LEFTOVERS. I NEED TO CUT BACK. I DO NOT WANT TO GO OVER MY HIGHEST RECORDED POUNDAGE EVER AGAIN.
THAT'S IT FROM HERE LADIES EXCEPT THAT ITS BINGO NITE. I TRY TO GET THERE EVERY WEEK.
