Re: ODT SUNDAY NOV 17 ~ SAT NOV 23

Happy birthday, Trish!!  May you have a wonderful day.

We had our first snow of the season on Thursday.  We only got a little amount and it did not last since the ground was so warm.  However, the Cleveland Browns played football and it was a snow storm!!  It looked like a snow globe due to the wind.

Slow day today, just working on a jigsaw puzzle, cutting some 3.5 inch squares to make another scrappy butterfly quilt.

I bought an air fryer this week.  I had $30 in Kohl's bucks and they gave me $10 for a "birthday gift", so I ordered one from them.  I made pork chops in it and we loved it.  Will look for some recipes today and use it again.

Judy, I have a Janome so I am of no help to you on the sewing machine issue.  I have had it now 20 years!!  Hard to believe it has been that long.

Sending good vibes to you all.  Have a great weekend.

Re: ODT SUNDAY NOV 17 ~ SAT NOV 23

Linda, I got your Thanksgiving card. It's so pretty and I love your letters. Thanks for your kindness. Happy anniversary to you and Darrell.

Sadie Grace is spending the weekend since school is out for the holidays. She loves to clean and organize. Asked if she could organize my pantry, so I helped her. Wants to get all my Christmas stuff out, but that will be another day.

Greg and Carter are on a free 3 day cruise out of Port Canaveral, then they're going to spend 5 days in Orlando. They drove down this time so they won't be here for Thanksgiving.

We're going to meet Logan (my GS) at 4:00 at the same mexican place I went the other day, lol. He invited me and I seldom see him. Of course, Sadie Grace wants McDonalds, lol.

Trish, hope you have a very happy birthday! 45, lol? (wink) Our Thanksgiving Day is this Thursday. Emily is coming over here to cook for the first time. It's also the first time I've invited her parents, but they normally go to her cousin's house, so doubt they will be here.

Re: ODT SUNDAY NOV 17 ~ SAT NOV 23

Happy Birthday, Trish.  If we're a day late, double good wishes.  Hope they do yours up dandy like you do for all of them!
Thank you for ML's b.d.wishes.  I will tell her.  She said this was the most non-birthday birthday she's ever had.  Not finding fault with us, just that her heart wasn't in it due to all the health problems she's had recently, again.  She was really delighted to get the new Ina Garten memoir that I came up with.  Not crowing for myself, just so glad I hit the jackpot for once!  Gift giving/picking is NOT my forte!   Bill made her the usual blueberry cheesecake she always requests.  And, she brought us two pieces!

Diane, happy late birthday wishes to your son, also.  I'm sure he enjoyed the cake and the special birthday pancakes.  I remember that...
Andrew came home on the train from Chicago, this morning.  He has a birthday party for a 2 yr. old to go to!    Sorry for laughing but his two girl classmates both have babies now, and "Uncle Andrew" has been invited to both of their parties.  He's going to take his car back.  Has made arrangements for parking in Chicago so he can drive home Wed. evening for Thanksgiving.  He's concerned that the train will be jammed that evening.
Cheryl, it is Janet that's considering a new Bernina.   And, like her, I'm a Pfaff girl, so she's on her own as far as I'm concerned.  I know that Marilynn has a Bernina and said she loved it.

Devonne, hope Sadie Grace doesn't wear you out but how sweet that she wants to come and stay.   They always want to be doing something and sometimes that's hard for grandma to come up with.  Andrew drove me nuts with that, but Mom could always find something to do with him.  He loved to paw through her  dresser drawers and so did she!  She kept everything so it was a treasure hunt for him.  How nice Emily is stepping up to cook your Thanksgiving dinner.

As usual, we're going to ML and Bill's.  She's fixing a chicken stuffing casserole.  No turkey.  She's not up to that.  Andrew will make the mashed potatoes with too much butter like his other grandma, but oh so good.  I will take a raspberry cranberry/orange relish jello (salad)  and a jar of olives.  Plus, when  I decide what, I'll make a dessert.  There will be just the 5 of us as it has been since Mom passed.  But we're thankful and so we should be.

Computer is getting squirrel-y so I'm going to close and send.
Indy

Trish, HAPPY BIRTHDAY! 🥳🎂

Shame on me!🫤😲 I'm sorry! I deleted a bunch of old private messages and will continue to do so!! No need to have them sitting there! ☺️

Regarding the windstorm and power outages, I'm not certain about BJ's actual location, but she and her family remain in my thoughts and prayers.  -You all do!

Devonne, you sure are busy!  I hope that you are feeling well.

Good reading a bit, and I'll be back later, if I can, and I'll  go finish deleting my private messages!

Re: ODT SUNDAY NOV 17 ~ SAT NOV 23

Glad the Kendall family are all ok. Thank you, Sandra. I'm so glad Matt found a turkey for you.

Diane, I am feeling fine. I get tired really easy, but that has gotten better since Thursday. Thursday was my worse day of fatigue.

Re: ODT SUNDAY NOV 17 ~ SAT NOV 23

THANK YOU SANDRA it is today, had breakfast and been either on phone calls or messages, so I am spoilt. YAY for the turkey breast, I thought T-day was last Thursday.

So glad it’s just computer issues for BJ, I better send the link for here to Tracy so she can get it connected when they are online again.

DIANE thank you, got lots of mine deleted too, wow when you haven’t deleted since 2018 there are alot 😁😁

I’m feeling lazy today, but want to do some cleaning up, the family will be here this afternoon, it’s really hot and will be till Wednesday.
So salads will be our meals for a while.

INDY Andrew is like Pete, the favourite uncle😁, sounds like he has settled well in Chicago, hope you get to read Ina as well, I loved her show. Yum! Olives  !

JANET did you decide on the Bernina? I like the ‘throat’ of the Pfaff better, seems like there is more room.

I need to wash my hair, got a load of washing out yesterday AND brought it in dry an hour later, might do the towels today as it’s so hot 🤪

Re: ODT SUNDAY NOV 17 ~ SAT NOV 23

THE LATEST EMAIL I RECD FROM TRACY.....
QUOTE.....

I’m really sorry for the hasty response. I just didn’t want to overlook it. Mom seems to snap back no matter what. It’s fascinating actually dad is still working on his antibiotics for his pneumonia. Last night he never woke me up coughing once so that was a beautiful thing. He does have surgery scheduled on December 9 for his cancer under his armpit. Not quite sure how to prepare for that. They are taking a larger excision and lymph nodes. I have surgery on the 11th and the 19th to finish the stages on my face so I will have a month again to care for Dad Mom and myself. I’m so thankful that my husband can support my lack of work. I am truly blessed, and he’s happy to do it.Best wishes for you and thank you again for being such a great friend. I’m looking for a geek to help with the computer and hoping to get Mom back on board. She doesn’t write much and can’t think of anything to say sometimes I give her prompts. But I know she likes to read what’s going on with you all. I got her to start a quilt with me while I’m here. I think it makes her sad but also Enjoys it to some degree because she actually can’t do anything anymore. Once we’re ready to, so I’m gonna make her do some.😉Tracy KSent from my iPhone
