I was just thinking, I haven't been able to get in touch with AJ for a long time, she hasn't logged in since 2022 July, I was thinking we should remove her, thoughts anyone???
Also karol05 (Amanda) not logged in since 7 May 2017 and Aunt Jo not since Nov 2020. It's not a problem for them to remain on the list, but extremely doubtful that Amanda will return now.

Quickly running through here to say hi!
I hope you are all well! I'll try to get on here come Monday to read a bit, catch up a bit.
Sending prayers your way! 🙏🏻🤗
Edited to add: Trish, I say, do what you feel is best regarding those who are never here. Seems they don't want to be, or perhaps can't be. I wonder about AJ!

Trish- great pic.
I sent a msg to AuntJo a while ago about this board and she said maybe she’d stop by but obviously she hasn’t. She is active on FB. I would say it’s ok to drop her.

I was wondering why the ball kept getting bigger and bigger, and then it hit me.
ANOTHER LOVELY SUNNY DAY HERE IN THE NORHT COUNTRY. LUCKILY THEY PREDICT SOME RAIN COMING ON WED, THURS, AND FRIDAYTHIS WEEK. HOORAY.

Slow start today. Guess everyone's resting... QB, enjoyed that one and got caught by it...at first! I'm eating a late lunch. Have had a run on rice cakes recently. Only care for the popcorn flavor, though. Having two with cream cheese spread, peach jam and thin sliced ham. Yum! Also have been having a run with V-8 for a bit. Wonderful how good something tastes after a long time without it.
Trish! WOW! Dean's a cutie and so grown up. Just can't be, but it is. I was just reminiscing with ML about the years Andrew and Mom came here every Sunday after church and we always got Subway sandwiches on the way home for "Sunday dinner". I never cooked. Mom slept the afternoon away and he and I gabbed. Precious memories. And you have your own... Ick on the snake! We have no venomous ones, locally, but they all cause a scare!
I also doubt if Amanda will ever be back. We used to chat back and forth a bit and I rode in her car with her at the 2011 COF retreat from Mary Jo's to the next thing (?). I would love to hear how she's doing and about her boys. But, things change and so do people...I believe she was going for her degree so is probably working now.
Cheryl, I think you had the better job! Dean's a great guy, helpful to all. It's nice to button everything up before cold weather really hits. I don't have too much of that to do anymore since I don't plant anything outside. Your quilt sounds very pretty. For me, mitered corners would be easier if you made them more often. I used to have to "start over" every time I needed to make them because of the time between. I think joining the two ends of the binding is hard to figure out, too, for the same reason.
Maybe I should stick my nose outside. I see Shena working in her garden in short sleeves so it must be warmer than I thought. She's digging something. We always used to chat across the fence, but I can no longer stand there for any length of time. And I wouldn't want to delay her progress with her digging.
Hugs to those not feeling well or recovering.

Hi, all. I'm back safely. 3,536.5 miles in 10 days. Three days the car sat in parking lots while we walked and rode other transportation. I'll fill in the details and add pictures as I can. Today was a Walmart run, unpacking, laundry, and a long nap.
Offline
welcome home CAROL wow!!! what a trip, you will need to tell us al about it, that laundry after a trip is the pits isn't it!!
SANDRA you got me on that one!! I looked THEN read again!! funny. I hope you enjoy some energy today! Stay well and hoping for some sun for you for a few days!
DEVONNE hope you are feeling comfortable, and glad to know you have family to help out..
INDY you are right, I love the memories I have made with the boys, still making them, their grandparents have missed so much love.
I had a further thought about those missing, I don't know if t hey will ever come back, but I changed their passwords, all to the same thing, and left a note on their info for DIANE as well, so I remember it too LOL
I have a feeling that AJ won't ever be back, AND Amanda, but we may be able to use their email addresses etc if we ever have someone needing to join, or rejoin, not even sure if that is possible, but you never know.
I saw the eye Dr today, and he is happy, and also did my "safe to drive without glasses" test and submitted it, just need to see my Dr now on Wednesday and he will do the physical and mental test.
Just had a long call with a friend from school, we meet on 6th Dec for lunch, it's also my sewing day and the Christmas lunch with them, so I'll miss it
I need to do the drops again, time is flying by, too fast, those alarms go off too often LOL I'll be glad when they are finished.

I am taking it easy this week. Nothing to do, as my family did it all. Gary and Emily have stayed all weekend. Greg and Carter came yesterday and I fell asleep shortly after they got here. Felt so bad when I woke up and they were gone.
Carol, what a long trip. I hope you have a few pictures of where you stayed on the reservation. Was this your first trip to the Grand Canyon?
Trish, I'm glad your eye surgery is behind you. It was wonderful being able to see taking a shower, lol. It still seems strange not wearing glasses while driving.

Italian: "Where were you born?" Lithuanian: "The United States." Italian: "Which part?" Lithuanian: "My whole body."
ANOTHER SUNNY AND COLD DAY. WAITING ON THe RAIN EXPECTED MIDWEEK.
YES, I CHANGED THE JOKE A BIT. I DIDN'T WANT TO SLAM THE BLONDES SO I MADE IT AGAINST SWEET OLD ME, A 100% LITHUANIAN. I DON'T MIND THESE JOKES.
TRISH,.... LOVE THE PICTURE OF DEAN. HE'S GROWN SO MUCH THRU OUR YEARS TOGETHER. AND SO HANDSOME.
AS FAR AS MY S.A.D. GOES IT ONLY EFFECTS ME AFTER A FEW DAYS OF CONSTANT GRAY DAYS. A RAINY DAY OR 2 HAS NO EFFECT. IN FACT, I LOOK FORWARD TO RAIN SHOWERS.
CAROL......WHAT A TRIP. I'M SURE YOU ENJOYED IT. WILL EAGERLY AWAIT THE PHOTOS.
DEVONNE......KEEP ON HEALING.
I MADE THE NEW CASSY LAST NITE AND SHARED WITH 3 OTHERS. NO WORD FROM ANY OF THEM WHETHER THEY LIKED IT OR NOT. ITS OK, I DID. I HAVE PLENTY OF LEFTOVERS AND WON'T MIND FINISHING IT UP THRU THE WEEK. IT WAS MADE WITH FROZEN HASH BROWNS, GROUND BEEF, SHARP CHEDDAR CHEESE AND A COUPLE CANS OF CREAM OF CELERY SOUP. A TYPICAL MIXTURE. I THINK ANY POTATO FILL WOULD WORK WITH THIS RECIPE IF HASH BROWNS NOT AVAILABLE. EVEN THINLY SLICED RAW POTATOES OR FROZEN TATER TOTS.
TODAY I HAVE A FEW THINGS TO CLEAN, TRASH AND RECYCLING TO TAKE OUT, A BIT OF HANDWASHING, AND WORKING THE NEW JIGSAW IS ON THE SCHEDULE TODAY. OF COURSE READING A BIT AND WATCHING MY TV IS A MUST. OH, AND EATING.
THIS MORNING IT WAS YOGURT AND TOMATO JUICE FOR BREAKFAST.
THAT'S IT LADIES. MY DAY IN A NUTSHELL. BE SAFE. HUGS, QB S

Good Morning to everyone!! It rained overnight but is not right now. Of course, everything is wet but we'll survive!! Rhonda stayed overnight so I need to quit here and go visit with her. Hope you all have a nice day and stay well, BJ.

I’m popping in with a public service announcement. Congress voted with a bipartisan majority to approve the Social Security Fairness Act, which repeals the windfall EliminationProvision and Govt Pension Offset. Now it goes to the Senate. I know it will =26pxaffect Carol and ? Mary Lou. It means you can collect a pension and SS in states where you couldn’t before. Hopefully the Senate gets it in gear and approves it before holiday break. Fantastic news!

Late afternoon, already. We were going to the grocery but watched a good Christmas movie about making a Christmas wedding quilt. At the very end, I got a phone call from my friend, Cheryl. While we were catching up, my Aunt Betty called so I called her back just for a moment. By then, both of us were out of the mood to go shopping. It's dark and rainy and too late in the day. Fortunately, I have a pkg. of smoked sausage to fry up with some taters for supper. Aunt Betty, my uncle's widow, was 99 yesterday. She's hanging in there is about all I can say.
Welcome home, Carol. Can't wait to hear all about it! Bet your dog is happy. Naps feel so good. Glad you got a nice long one.
Yesterday, Howard discovered that our water softener has given up. It was 10 yrs. old. He's ordered a new one from Amazon. Supposed to come between Nov. 21 and 25, but we're hoping it arrives earlier. We were on for hosting our small group here on Friday but sent a group text and canceled it. No way could H. remove the old one, install the new one, clean up and have company coming, even providing the softener comes early. We are all going out on Dec. 1st for our Christmas lunch and are invited to someone else's home for dessert afterwards. Then, we'll take the mos. of Dec. and Jan. off. I think everyone is ready for a winter break...I know we are!
Devonne, I'm sure you felt funny about going to sleep on Greg and Carter. But, I know they understand and are just glad you're getting the rest you need. Do you think your doggies sense that something's a bit different right now? Take care of you...
BJ I'm sure you're glad to have Rhonda back from vacation. Nice that she could stay over and be there when you got up. Can't say enough about your girls constant care of you and Frank.
Their mama raised them right...
Off to start the smoked sausage. Howard's prowling around. I suspect he's hungry.

Holly, THANK YOU for that information. I am one of those here in Ohio who cannot get a school pension and a SS. I worked retail for years before I got my school secretary job. I made more as the secretary but still worked a lot of years and would like that money. I know Carol was in the same situation as are many of my co-workers.
Devonne, hoping you feel better each day!!
Sandra, your daily jokes always give me laugh. As a natural blonde, I have heard all the dumb blonde jokes and they do not bother me. Well, I used to be blonde, now mostly gray.
Trish, that Dean is a handsome fellow for sure!!
Judy, our water softener is not working great now, so we need a new one too. It is really old, about 20 years now but it was a Kinetico system and I liked it a lot. Don't think we will do that again but we are looking at a new system.

Holly, I am one tha may be affected by that ruling. I have never had a job where I paid in to social security but if that passes I think I would be able to draw off Bill’s. It has always seemed so unfair that I am unable to do that now.
This week, in addition to my regular money-counting today, quilt guild tomorrow, and exercise classes, I have a Sunday school class lunch, an oil change (45 minutes away), a hair cut, and a massage. I’m glad the massage is at the end of the week after everything else so I can really relax afterwards.

Bob: "Holy crap, I just fell off a 50 ft ladder." Jim: "Oh my God, are you okay?" Bob: "Yeah it's a good thing I fell off the first step."
THE SUN IS BRIGHT AND HITTING THE 50S TODAY. WAITING ON RAIN EXPECTED THURS AND FRI.
THAT WILL BE NICE IF THAT BILL PASSES FOR SO MANY THAT WORKED AND EARNED FOR YEARS AND DESERVE THEIR SHARE.
JANET......ITS A SPECIAL DAY FOR YOU AND JERRY. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY. WISHING YOU A GOOD DAY.
MY DAY WILL BE QUIET AGAIN. I NEED TO DO SOME LAUNDRY AND MAYBE A LITTLE COOKING. SOME LAPS IN THE HALL AND WORKING THE JIGSAW IS ON MY LIST.
NOTHING ELSE TO REPORT MY FRIENDS. BE SAFE. HUGS, QB S

Thanks, Holly, for the update. We got this far a couple of years ago. The Senate voted it down.
Cheryl and Mary Lou, you need to let your US Senators know how this has affected you. I'm writing emails and letters and pulling my US veteran card. If anyone else feels so inclined, please let your senators know as well.
