Hi Diane- good to see you here!
Trish- that’s my bra plan too.
Carol- have a great tripe. I once went on a trip and forgot undies…no store around. I had to was the one pair I had every night and hang it to dry. And finish the drying in the morning with the blow dryer. 🤪

Good morning. Up early to check on and maybe change an appointment. Have to wait til they open. In the meantime, I've caught up on reading here. (Got the appt. changed.)
Carol what a nice vacation you're going to have. Wonder why underwear is often the last thing we think of when it's the first thing we put on? Does this mean your teaching job is over? Guess I'll have to wait for that answer...Have a wonderful time.
We haven't gotten to Ollie's with the bras, yet. Monday, ML, who has been having some (more) health problems wanted to stop by. Because I had that virus, we hadn't seen each other for two plus weeks and she said she missed me. We had a good visit, got all the world's problems settled but after she left, we decided not to go. It was an icky, rainy day.
That's us, decide to do something, then change our minds.
Cheryl, that crockpot recipe sounds so good. If it suited you all, could you share it, please?
I will never make the long, complicated lasagne recipes again which I really never did much of anyway! Congrats (if that's the right term) to Gabriel on this major step in his faith. You and Dean are the best grandparents,
Devonne, with those odds, I would make that decision, too. But, I know it wasn't easy for you. I'm glad you can get it done fairly quickly, too.
Time for me to get breakfast. The man is waiting. Actually, it's me that always starving in the morning. He often doesn't eat. Have a good day.

A man went to his lawyer and told him, "My neighbor owes me $500 and he won’t pay up. What should I do?" "Do you have any proof he owes you the money?" asked the lawyer. "Nope," replied the man. "OK, then write him a letter asking him for the $5,000 he owed you," said the lawyer. "But it's only $500," replied the man. "Precisely. That’s what he will reply and then you’ll have your proof!"
ITS A GORGEOUS DAY HERE BUT A BIT WARM FOR ME. WINDOWS ARE OPEN AND FANS ARE AT FULL TILT.
JUDY........YOU AND I ARE ALIKE. I WON'T WASTE MY TIME MAKING SOMETHING I CAN'T USE. I MAKE SOME THINGS I CAN GIVE AS GIFTS LIKE SLEEP MASKS, BOWL HOLDERS FOR MICROWAVES AND KNITTED DISHCLOTHS OR HANGING DISH TOWELS. FOR MYSELF I MAKE DOOR- AND WALL-HANGINGS. I CAN MAKE A DOOR HANGING WITH JUST ABOUT ANY BLOCK I'VE MADE SO THAT'S A WIN-WIN FOR ME. I JUST HAVE TO GET MY MOTOR IN GEAR.
CHERYL......YOUR CROCKPOT MEAL SOUNDS GOOOD.
I HAVEN'T MAKE LASAGNA IN AWHILE. MY HUBBY LIKED IT WITH LOTS OF CHEESE AND I LIKED IT WITH MEAT AND JUST A TOUCH OF CHEESE. I USED TO MAKE A 'SIDE BY SIDE LASAGNA' WHICH IS HALF FOR ME AND HALF FOR HIM. NOW ITS TOO BIG A MEAL FOR ONE PERSON AND MOST FOLKS LIKE THEIRS WITH THE CHEESES SO I DONT MAKE IT ANYMORE.
I DID FIND A PIZZA CASSEROLE ON UTUBE I MIGHT TRY. ITS MADE WITH TATER TOTS. SOUNDS PRETTY GOOD.
DEVONNE.......YOU SLIPPED IN WHILE I WAS STILL PONDERING WHAT TO WRITE. BY THE WAY, I LOVE THAT SONG AMARILLO BY MORNING BY GEORGE STRAIT. IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN A FAVORITE.
I KNOW IT WAS A DIFFICULT DECISION FOR YOU. PRAYERS AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS SENT YOUR WAY.
CAROL.....WHAT A GREAT TRIP YOU MUST BE DONE AS SCHOOL THEN. TIME FOR YOU TO ENJOY YOURSELF.
TRISH......SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR BROTHERS MEDICAL ISSUES. MOST MEN HATE GOING TO THE DR SO THEY PUT THINGS OFF TILL ITS NOT GOOD. I HOPE HIS FIGHT IS A GOOD ONE AND IT WORKS FOR HIM. YOU JUST NEVER KNOW. HUGS.
I DID MY LAPS AND WORKED ON MY JIGSAW PUZZLE THIS MORNING. ITS COMNG ALONG. OTHERS ARE HELPING WHEN THEY CAN AS WELL. ITS A FUN THING WE SHARE.
I WON A WHOLE DOLLAR AT BINGO LAST NITE SO I'M HAPPY ABOUT THAT. FOR TODAY I'LL BAKE SOME CHICKEN BREAST AND MAYBE MAKE A SALAD AND SOME PASTA-RONI TO GO WITH IT. I LIKE PASTA-RONI AND RICE-ARONI FOR SIDE DISHES SO ITS A GOOD THING.
BE SAFE MY FRIENDS. HUGS FOR ALL, QB S

Carol, that sounds like a great trip. I thought of the song "Amarillo by Morning"...lol. How interesting to get to stay on a Navajo reservation, on real tribal land.
Diane, thank you! Are you still doing the Amazon reviews? You've been doing those for quite awhile.
I had to buy special compression bras to wear after surgery. I ordered one and I really liked it, so I ordered four more. The hospital "gave" me one (probably $100 on my bill, lol). They zip in front and the straps are adjustable. They remind me of a sports bra.
I'm not in any pain, never was, but the lymph node biopsy still bothers me. It feels kinda like a burn and it's right under your armpit. Doesn't help with where it's located!
I'm headed back to Walmart. I forgot shampoo, cabbage and Half & Half for my coffee. I'm going to stop at Waffle House and have breakfast. I like their waffles.

Good Morning to everyone!! I'm feeling pretty stupid this morning. Tracy is still sleeping, good for her!! Rent is due on one of the rentals this morning, hope they stop by with the money. I found a pair of maroon soft pants and put them on. They're a little too long but I rolled them up and they look nice.
I'm not feeling too great this morning so will sign off and go stretch out in my recliner, might even fall asleep!! Hope you all have a wonderful day, Love, BJ.

I was hoping to make a visit to David’s sometime soon but we are having problems finding a time that everyone is free. I hate to drive 5 hours for a very short visit with only part of the family so will probably wait a while to go.
Today, I had my first Medicare Well Check. I had heard about people being asked some questions that they considered prying but I was not asked anything like that. I really appreciated how they went over all my meds, reviewed vaccine history, checked for any needed screenings, etc. The only thing they recommended is a little bloodwork and a bone density test.

When I go to dr and they asked those questions (Medicare wellness) I simply tell them I’m not answering those that I feel are too personal or paying. The first time the gal was shocked, not they don’t even bother with them.
May get my flu shot today…or not.
Heading to the gym and then meeting someone for breakfast. And if I hear back from the realtor, I may go look at a condo on the lake. 🤷♀️

Good Morning, not much to say this morning. Took Frank his coffee, now he is in bathroom. I'm just lazing around this morning, can't seem to do much. Hope everyone is doing well and up and moving. I'm going to sign off, sending best wishes to everyone.BJ.

Two bats are hanging upside down on a branch. One asks the other, "Do you recall your worst day last year?" The other responds, "Yes, the day I had diarrhea!"
I HOPE THAT DIDN'T OFFEND ANYONE. ITS A LOVELY DAY TODAY IN THE 50S AND SUNNY.
MARYLOU......YES, 5 HOURS IS A LONG DRIVE IF YOU CAN'T VISIT THEM ALL. I HOPE IT WORKS OUT SOON.
JANET......HOORAY, MAYBE A LAKEHOUSE FOR YOU. THAT IS SUCH A GOOD IDEA FOR SUMMERS AND MAYBE EVEN YEAR ROUND. YOU CAN SELL THE BIG MONSTER HOUSE AND RENT GARAGES FOR YOUR HUBBY'S CARS. NO POOL PROBLEMS EITHER.
I WORKED ON MY JIGSAW THIS MORNING. ITS NEARLY FINISHED. I AM EAGER TO BEGIN THE WINTER ONE. THERE ARE STILL LOTS OF BLUE PIECES FOR THE SKY TO GET FINISHED.
MY SON SHOPS THIS SATURDAY. I HOPE HE CAN GET ME A TURKEY BREAST AND THEY ARE NOT SOLD OUT. ITS TOUGH AROUND HERE FINDING A T BREAST. I REALLY DON'T WANT A WHOLE TURKEY. TOO MUCH TO BOTHER WITH AND EAT BY MYSELF. BUT THEN MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, I CAN FREEZE SOME PIECES FOR LATER.
PLANS FOR THE DAY ARE MINIMAL. MY SON WANTS MY TATER TOT SAUSAGE CASSEROLE THIS WEEK. HE SAID HE MISSED IT LAST TIME SO ITS ON MY LIST. THAT AND SOME ITALIAN SANDWICHES ARE ALL HE WANTS THIS WEEK. EASY COOKING FOR ME. LOVE IT.
I ORDERED SOME FARMER CHEESE YESTERDAY. I DON'T LIKE TO BUY IT DURING WARM MONTHS SINCE IT COMES FROM MICHIGAN. I EVEN ORDERED EXTRA ICE PACKS TO KEEP THEM FRESH. ITS MY FAVORITE CHEESE OF ALL TIME. GRAMMA EVA USED TO MAKE IT AND THE AGE IT ON HER WINDOWSILL. LOVED IT BUT I JUST CAN'T SEEM TO GET THE HANG OF AGING IT SO DON'T BOTHER.
BE SAFE MY FRIENDS. HUGS FOR ALL, QB S

Sandra - the condo would be in addition to the house.
Got my flu shot. Now I have a black and blue about the size of a quarter.

I made vegetable beef soup for dinner. I'm not a cracker fan; cornbread is in the oven.
Trish, how sad about your brother. Hate to see anyone suffer.
I watched a video about self check breast exams. I hate to admit it, but I wasn't good at doing the self exams. I do get a mammogram every year. She said to also raise your arms and check for hard lumps; where breast cancer tends to spread first..the lymph nodes under your armpits. Just a tip for all of you and remember, no one in my family had breast cancer unless it was an aunt or cousin that I didn't know about .
Marilynn called me today. She is so uplifting, even going thru all her health issues. I have done nothing today. Will be headed to the bedroom after I eat dinner to watch TV.

Trish, so sorry about your brother, especially about the relationship. Sad when families are distant. My younger brother lived in the south most of his adult life. We were thousands of miles apart but always close emotionally. I miss him. Covid got him early in the pandemic.
Carol, have a wonderful trip!!
The weather is so warm for November! It was 65 again today. I have new booms on my shasta daisy and my azalea has thumbnail size buds. Poor things will get a shock soon. Devonne, I kept the last dahlia bulb that I thought I had killed when it broke off and it has the prettiest flowers. They are yellow with a gold/orange tinge.
The pizza lasagna was just OK. The recipe is this: put a little of some sort of marinara sauce in the bottom of your crock pot. Dump a bag of frozen ravioli or tortellini in the pot. Add 1 pound of cooked hamburger meat. (I also added some green bell pepper to the meat.) Top the meat with more sauce and then add a bag of cheese to the top. I added mozzerella, provolone and parmesan. Top with pepperoni slices as desired. Cook on low for 4-6 hours of on high for 2-3. You and do two bags of ravioli if you want to make 2 layers. One was enough for us.
Janet, what lake are you looking to buy on? Do you have a boat?
Cleaned my upstairs bathrooms today and did some laundry. Dusted my bedroom because I could write my name on the nightstand dust. I have the window open most of the time and the bedroom has a bay window and all the road dust comes in.
Gabriel did meet with the pastor and he has to take 3 classes with the pastor and read some things. Trish, we can do infant baptism but prefer to let the child make the decision when they feel comfortable. Dean and I were both baptized as adults when we lived in Wyoming and went to a Southern Baptist Church. Now we go to Methodist. I think Gabriel wants to be baptized by Reverend Duncan because the reverend is going to retire as he is in his mid-80's. When Gabriel was in the NICU for 4 months when he was born, Reverend Duncan and his wife were there often. We appreciated them so much.

Trish- sorry about your brother.
The quarter sized black and blue is now larger than a half dollar.
Cheryl- Smith Mountain Lake in VA. It’s about 20 mins from our house. People who live and come here to vacation are super impressed by it. IMHO, it’s a puddle compared to what we’re used to in upstate NY. We don’t have a boat, but that’s a simple thing to buy. We’ve had them before when we were in NY.

A woman was taking an afternoon nap. When she woke up, she told her husband, "I just dreamed that you gave me a pearl necklace. What do you think it means?" "You'll know tonight," he said. That evening, the man came home with a small package and gave it to his wife. Delighted, she opened it to find a book entitled "The Meaning of Dreams."
ANOTHER LOVELY DAY BUT WE SURE COULD USE SOME RAIN. NOT A DELUGE, JUST A NICE DAY OF SOFT RAIN TO SOAK INTO OUR FORESTS. ONLY 45 RIGHT NOW.
JANET......WELL, A CONDO AT THE LAKE SHOULD BE NICE. ANYTHING WITH WATER IS ALWAYS PLEASANT.
SORRY YOUR FLU SHOT GAVE YOU A BRUISE. IT SHOULD FADE SOON.
DEVONNE.......THANKS FOR THE TIP ON CHECKING UNDER OUR ARMS FOR HARD SPOTS. I NEVER KNEW THAT BUT CHECKED MYSELF OUT RIGHT AWAY.
CHERYL......I LIKE THE IDEA OF LETTING THE KIDS CHOOSE THEIR OWN RELIGION WHEN THEY ARE READY. RAISE THEM IN YOUR OWN BUT LET THEM CHOOSE IN THE END.
THAT'S SUCH A PRETTY DAHLIA. I NEVER COULD GROW THOSE.
MY SON SHOPS FOR ME TODAY. I HOPE HE CAN FIND A TURKEY BREAST THIS WEEK. IF NOT, I WILL DO WITHOUT. ITS JUST THAT I REALLY LOVE THE FLAVOR OF A TURKEY BREAST ONCE IN A WHILE.
I MADE THE TATER TOT SAUSAGE CASSY LAST NITE AND SHARED WITH ONLY ONE OTHER. MY SON WILL TAKE HOME MOST OF IT FOR HIM AND HIS WIFE.
I PLAN TO DO A BIT MORE ON THE JIGSAW PUZZLE LATER. MAYBE EVEN FINISH IT. I'D LIKE TO GET THE WINTER ONE STARTED SOON.
THAT'S IT LADIES. NOT MUCH DOING HERE. ITS ONLY 45 BUT I WILL OPEN MY WINDOW IN A MOMENT. HUGS FOR ALL. QB S

Good Morning, it's a rainy day here today. Right outside my window is a red tree, then on the other side of the sidewalk is a yellow one, then a green one out by the road. Very colorful!!
I really don't have anything to say this morning, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.
Offline
BJ, your trees must be lovely! The fall colors have been so beautiful and long-lasting this year, haven't they?
Trish, prayers continue for your brother! What a sad situation!
Janet, a condo on the lake sounds nice!
Carol, I'm looking forward to hearing about your trip!
Devonne, sending up special prayers for you! 🙏🏻 You have an amazing attitude and outlook!
QB, 😂 funny joke!
I'm not sure what I'm making for Thanksgiving yet, but turkey breast is a possibility. The guys have expressed interest in lasagna, pizza cups, steak, as well as a traditional Thanksgiving meal. 🤷🏼♀️
Regarding bra shopping, 🙄😬 no fun! When I find something I tolerate or "like," I buy several!
Following several days of lovely sunshine, it's a cool, cloudy day today. We'll likely meet our son and my brother for dinner later. It's a toss-up as to whether it will be Italian or Mexican, but I can order tasty options without pasta and without beans and rice at either place, so I'll let the guys decide this time. 😄
I know I've missed mentioning several of you; my apologies! Please know I enjoyed reading about you as I read, and that you are all in my thoughts and prayers!
I need to run, but I'll be back later to lock and bump the threads. 😉🥳

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. I didn't feel good this morning, but the Tylenol worked fast.
BJ, I'm glad you are enjoying nature and your beautiful trees.
I went to Texas Roadhouse with Gary and it was so cold in there. I need to start taking a jacket with me. He freezes me in the car too. I'm sure it's an age thing with me, lol.
Cheryl, beautiful dahlia flowers! My MIL used to grow the giant ones. They were so big, she had to stake them and tie them to a fence. I was only 16 when I met her and I remember her beautiful dahlias. I remember her digging them up and keeping them in the fridge.
eta: Sadie Grace went to Texas RH with us. She looked at me and said, "Nana, why do you have a washcloth sticking out under your blouse?" It was supposed to be under my arm, under my bra, lol.
