Q: If you have 13 apples in one hand and 10 oranges in the other, what do you have?
A: Big hands.
WE GOT RAIN. WE NEED IT. WARMER TODAY BUT NOT TOO WARM.
TRACY.......HEY GIRL, GOOD TO SEE YOU. GLAD YOU ARE DOING OKAY AND TAKING IT EASY. WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST THRU THE REST OF THE YEAR. HUGS AND MORE HUGS.
NOTHING EXCITING FOR ME TODAY. WE HAD COFFEE TIME BUT I DON'T REALLY DO THAT. ITS TOO HARD TO HEAR WHAT EVERYONE IS SAYING AND I HATE SITTING LIKE A LUMP IN A CORNER. SO I PASSED.
SALLY MY LIBRARIAN BRINGS ME ANOTHER BOOD BOOK TODAY. I HAVE 2 SHOPPING BAGS OF BOOKS FOR HER TO SELL AT THE BOOK SALE. MY DAUGHTER READ AND BROUGHT BACK MANY OF THE ONES I SENT TO HER OVER THE MONTHS.
I AM FINISHING MY LEFTOVERS TODAY AND WILL MAKE A POT OF MASHED TATERS TO HAVE ON HAND FOR SIDE DISHES THIS WEEK.
I AM TRYING TO THINK OF SOMETHING TO DO BESIDES MY USUAL......READING, SOLITAIRE, CROSSWORDS, WATCHING TV AND MY JIGSAW. I'M REALLY GETTING TIRED OF SAME OLD, SAME OLD STUFF. CAN ANYONE SAY "RUT?"
I WANT TO SEW. WILL THINK OF DOING SOMETHING BY HAND. SITTING AT THE SEWING MACHINE AGRAVATES MY BACK TOO MUCH LATELY. THERE'S GOT TO BE A PROJECT I CAN WORK ON. MAYBE HAND-QUILTING SOME BLOCKS. I STILL HAVE SEVERAL VICTORIAN LADY BLOCKS WHICH I CAN LAYER AND THEN MAYBE HAND QUILT. I COULD USE THOSE AS DOOR HANGINGS ON MY BATHROOM DOOR SINCE THEY ALL SIGNIFY LADIES ROOM. SOUNDS LIKE A PLAN DOESN'T IT. WILL CHECK IT OUT.
WISHING YOU ALL A GOOD DAY. HUGS, QB S

It took a matter of minutes to vote today. They said it was crowded about 30 mins before but now there was a lull. When we left there was a line to vote. Timing is everything. Hope we know the outcome tonight and not have them drag out the results….
Mr Hyde is in one of his moods, so I’m going to go hide in my studio. Back later.

Busy morning! Last night as I was drifting off to sleep, I decided I’d make pancakes today, changed to blueberry pancakes, then to blueberry muffins. That’s how my mind works. So I made a dozen blueberry muffins, sent 4 over to neighbor Dave, who sent me back some tomatoes,
Read my morning computer newsletters, Reuters and AP. Yay, the Boeing strike is settled, Manda doesn’t have to worry about layoffs and hope soon they we reoffer Ben the job offer!
Tidied a little in the sewing room. Wound 20 bobbins, since I was on the last one filled. Pulled out a stack of partly done burp cloths, they’ll be the next thing I work on.
Meanwhile, Ralph went to Lowe’s and then worked outside. We both voted by mail, and got our stickers.
I had a friend that I was the ghoster, because I don’t like confrontation. I worked with her over 30 years ago, and in the last ten years the relationship got rocky because she always wanted to be right. Told me to stop reading fiction and start reading nursing research journals, and told me to put down the crafts and travel to Europe. So I just stopped responding to her on facebook and didn’t take her phone calls. Took a while for her to get it.

Holly- there are always people who want to spend your time and your money for you.
My next retreat is the one in January….went from 4 nights to 5. Deposits are due Dec1. I mailed mine today. She always offers a spot to the ones who attended the previous year, and then offers any remaining spots to others. She takes 54 and had 52 accept their spot within 24 hours!
I have spent most of the day in my studio. I had to put away my retreat stuff first. Then I sewed some and now I need to go up there and tidy up.

Tracy, it is good to hear from you. My prayers are with you. Hugs!
I got my bone scan and CT scan results today. It's so interesting what they pick up. Overall, I'm in pretty good shape for my age. No cancer has spread to my bones...great news!
My preop appointment is tomorrow and I still have not decided on whether to do the mastectomy or the "reincision lumpectomy" to get a clear margin. Sometimes they don't get a clear margin in the second surgery. Decisions, decisions...and this is a big one! I've been praying for clarity to make this decision.
I am just "not into" this election today...have more important health issues to think about.
Offline
Devonne, it’s a hard decision, I hope you get clarity on it.
Janet, I think it was more control. She was a domineering mom, stood over her kids when they had homework or projects, and bully’s them as adults. Her daughter is still local, her son’s wives had them move to Cali and Arizona! It made her crazy that I told my kids that school was their issue, I’d be glad to help but wouldn’t micromanage them. In retrospect, it’s amazing that our friendship lasted as long as it did.
Devonne, I looked it up, last election we didn’t get results til the Saturday after.
Tomorrow we have lunch with the teachers, early this month due to Thanksgiving.

Well, the results are in…like it or not. You know where I stand.
Today is haircut, the gym, lunch with a friend, quick stop at Food Lion and then home before the Septic company gets there. Whew!
DH isn’t feeling well, so that puts me in charge…🤪

I’m leaving for a while, I’m too full of rage and despair to be here right now.

Good Morning to everyone!! It is a beautiful day outside, very slight breeze. I'm not feeling very bright this morning. Have a new shirt on, very pretty! Lavender with purple flowers and green and white leaves.
I really don't have anything else to say this morning, just feeling stupid!! Have a wonderful day, everyone! BJ.

Q: What is the tallest building in the entire world?
A: The library, because it has so many stories.
I HAD TO GET OUT EARLY. RAIN EXPECTED LATER BUT SUNNY AND 72 RIGHT NOW.
DEVONNE.......PRAYING YOU MAKE THE RIGHT DECISION FOR YOU. ITS A TOUGH ONE, I KNOW.
I HAD TRASH FOR THE DUMPSTER AND RECYLES I NEEDED OUT THIS MORNING. I ALSO GOT MY NEW MEDICARE INS. CARD SO HAD TO ACTIVATE THAT ONE.
NO MORE POLITICAL ADS, THANK GOODNESS. NOW IF ONLY ALL THE MEDICARE INS. ADS WOULD DISAPPEAR.
BINGO TONITE. WISH ME WELL LADIES. ITS NICE TO WIN A BIT.
NOTHING ELSE EXCITING. I'VE BEEN READING A LOT. THAT KEEPS ME OFF THE STREETS.
HAVE A GOOD DAY. HUGS, QB S

Were heading to W-M in a bit for Howard's med and a few groceries. Both of us were up later last night, he later than me so we're dragging today. Have our small group on Friday and I need to make a salad. It will be Holly's cole slaw. I need to do something easy and quick.
Then, in two weeks, it will be our turn to have it.
QB, hope you win big tonight or...even a little. As you say, even a small payoff is something.
Have you found any hand sewing project that appeals, yet? Lots of people on Instagram do small, collages with scraps, buttons, lace that fill that need, for them. They appeal to me, but in the end, I don't seem to be able to decided what to put together. And then there's the issue of it being a waste of time because what is it and what do you do with it? Not that I'm always practical, hardly! --still I'd like to feel I've got something worthwhile, even if only as eye candy. Am I making any sense? I do enjoy the feeling of satisfaction with picking up a needle and doing something!
I just saw a cheeky black squirrel on the deck, darting and nosing around. They are so pert and cute. Am missing the wild birds that have left. But, it's past time for the quiet, cooler time of year...we've had such a long, drawn out, end of summer/fall.
Off to get ready to leave. Have a good afternoon.

Good beautiful morning, ladies! 🥳 Not a cloud in the sky, but it is a bit chilly. It's warmed up a bit to 47 from the 38° we started with, so I'll take it! 😉
BJ, your new blouse sounds lovely and cheerful!
Hugs and prayers for Tracy!
Devonne, you remain in my prayers! I'm sure you're weighing all options, gathering all information, so that you can truly give your informed consent to whichever option you select. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 I'm sorry it's necessary!
📱 I better run for now! I'm thinking of all of you!

Good afternoon all.
Made a new quick recipe in the crockpot today; pizza lasagna. It is made with frozen ravioli, hamburger, pepperoni, lots of cheese and sauce. I used a jarred marinara sauce (one made locally called Mids as it is our favorite). It sure smells good so hope it tastes ok. Dean does not really care for lasagna but the kids do and they will be here for supper. Gabriel has a meeting with his pastor to discuss being baptised. Dean has him there now and Aaron will pick up the kids after work.
Devonne sending prayers to you. I hope you come to a decision that brings you some comfort.

I chose to do the reincision surgery on Fri., 11/15. There's a 25% chance the "margins won't be clear," (meaning there are still cancer cells in the breast tissue after the pathologist reviews it), but for a 75% chance of a good outcome, its worth it. I feel good about my decision.
Cheryl, I love lasagna and almost everyone in my family likes it.
I'm so tired. Stayed up late watching the election.

Devonne- 🙏🏻 for you

GOOD EVENING!
TIRED. DID A LITTLE HOUSEWORK.
EVERYONE REMAINS IN THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS.
Offline
Devonne, I'm relieved for you an with you that you've made an informed decision. I'm praying for the very best for you! 🙏🏻
I was up late as well, and for the same reason.
Cheryl, I haven't had lasagna in a very long time. Sounds yummy! 😋
How wonderful your grandson is discussing being baptized. 🙏🏻
Indy, I haven't picked up a needle in so long! I love embroidery and cross stitch, and I'm hoping that after Christmas, I'll have some time to attempt it. I'm hoping my eyes/vision allows it! 🙏🏻🙂
Linda, I've managed a bit of extra housework today, too.
QB, I love today's funny!
😄
I gotta run. I need to write two more reviews today, so I better scoot!

Hi, all.
I think Theresa sent me some of her busyness. Good heavens.
Devonne, it sounds as though you have made the best decision for you at this time. Prayers for an excellent outcome.
Judy, so very sorry that you are dealing with multiple losses. It's hard when they all seem to pile in on you at once.
I'm hoping that Tracy is getting some time to relax with BJ. She's usually so busy with her mom.
I can't mention everyone; I'm packing for my road trip. We're leaving in the morning and heading to Amarillo, Texas (about 700 miles). Then from there to Chinle, Arizona to stay in Canyon de Chelly on the Navajo Reservation. Then to the Grand Canyon, and from there, we're not sure. I thought I was packed and realized I hadn't put any underwear in the bag. Geez! There isn't a Wal-Mart anywhere near where we're going to be, so it's a good thing I remembered.
I'll check in when I get back, sometime on the 18th or 19th. I too stayed up late for the election results and had a lot to do today, so I'm heading to bed in a few minutes.
Y'all be good while I'm gone, ya hear?

CAROL lovely to see you, have a wonderful trip, so glad you remembered the underwear, one time The Mr forgot to pack PJs lucky we found a store open when we realised he double checks everything now LOL
DEVONNE I am glad you made the decision you want for you, it was a tough one, and only you know what is best, I would say I would probably have made the same decision, but I would never know till I was actually facing your surgery ((((hugs))))
SANDRA that was a funny one!! I loved the last few too!! Always good to read your funnies, hope the good luck fairy visits you tonight, and you win, even a little (((hugs)))
STRINGS how is your Mr, is he coping any better, and more importantly how are YOU coping!
BJ your lavender top sounds so nice, I do love that colour, soft and pretty - give my love to Tracy (((hugs)))
HOLLY if you read, THANK YOU for letting us know.
DIANE lovely to have you popping inn, we miss you - hope you can visit a little more as time goes on, know you are very busy with reviews and family (((hugs)))
JANET totally agree, too many people wanting to take your money from you, there are so many scammers. I had an email a month or so ago, don't usually check the spam box, and this went to the iCloud account. Apparently I was watching and surfing the internet for questionable content, and the very polite person requested thousands of dollars (in an equivalent to bitcoin ) or they would send it all to my friends, within 48 hours of me opening the email, forgot about it for a while till I told someone, and they said, well it's more than 48 hours since you opened it, my friend said while it was funny, it was also sad that a lot of people would fall for it. The emailer was very polite which made it funnier to me. And kindly told me he would delete everything after payment and to please be careful while using the internet
INDY hope you enjoy your outing, I loath shopping for bras, I have a brand that fits me, and now try to get it online, or occasionally at one of the department stores if they have a big sale, which reminds me I should order a couple more, had these a while now. AND a drawer full of not great ones for "just in case" LOL
CHERYL good for Gabriel, hope that his baptism goes well, is it a church where you get baptised when a teenager, I am so used to the catholic one were they get baptised at birth
Noting much happening here either like CHERYL -- went to training this morning, it was brutal, not the exercises, the heat, it was up to high 80s when we started YIKES. we opted for finishing with some gentler exercises, I was still soaking, and still wanting to drink more now, so I will load up my bottle again.
I just ducked over to the mall, forgot to get my gingerbread house to decorate for Christmas, we'll probably forget again, and just eat the house and decorations separately LOL
I also did a detour and picked up a nice gluten free carrot and orange cake for sewing tomorrow, in between answering my SIS's messages, seems they have now found spots on my brothers liver. He will have a port inserted next week, and they will flood his body with chemo (her words) I am still really really angry with him, he hasn't returned my calls, we just get to hear her messages. He is uncomfortable sitting for too long, the tumor in the bowel is quite large, so my sis and I are both thinking that unless the chemo has a huge reduction in his cancer he won't survive this, it's just awful that he could ignore the symptoms for so long. We have good health services he could access, there is no excuse.
I didn't have to stay up late last night for the election results, for once the time lag worked in our favour, the results were mosttly in by 9.30 - usually anything happening in the northern hemisphere we have to watch on replay LOL

Trish, I'm so sorry about your brother!! 😢 I'll keep him in my prayers, along with the rest of the family!🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Regarding your vision, I remember everything looking soooo clear, so bright, through my right eye after the first cataract surgery. I made my vision through my left eye seem yellowish. It took some getting used to!
Thanks for your kind words! I'll try to get here more! 🙂
