Thanks for asking about Aaron. He had all of the lymph nodes removed from his left arm pit. Like you, Devonne, it was a while before he could really use that arm. He does not have the energy he used to have but seems to be getting better. His immune system is still low and he gets every couch/sniffle going around. He already has had his flu shot and the latest covid, just to be safe. He has to wear a compression sleeve on that arm when he flies now. All in all, we thank G*d that his year of immunotherapy went well. Devonne, I pray the same goes for you.
Judy, I hope you get well soon. I had whooping cough several years ago and it took me months and months to get better.
Our trees were just beautiful this year. I thought with such little rain, the leaves would not be as vivid, but they sure are. Almost half have fallen off now and by next week will be gone but they sure were pretty.
I have one sewing machine, my Janome 6600. I love it. I bought it in 2004 and like Holly siad, it is a workhorse. It goes and goes. Kelly gave me her midarm quilting frame and it has a Bernina with it but I do not use it and did not like it or the straight line quilting that it was limited to doing. I am going to contact Kelly's daughter and see if she would like it back since Kelly gave it to me when she bought her big machine set up. It was all digital and did beautiful work. This one has been in my basement now for 5 years and I need to get rid of it.
Sending prayers for all for healing and good health.

Sewing machines? 🤔. I have 3 featherweights, a Janome embroidery only machine, a Janome Gem (my back up machine that I lug to retreats), Pfaff 2056 (my favorite, it’s a workhorse), a new Pfaff 720 which I bought over a year ago and have only used it once), a BabyLok serger, a Viking 400 which was one of the first computerized machines. I had and sold a long arm. I’m in the market for a “retreat” machine for when my Pfaff fades, probably an Bernina ans that’s anll they sell around here. The Pfaff dealer is a jerk and over an hour away. And I’m always on the look out for a treadle in an original table.

IT GOT SO COLD LAST NIGHT I FINALLY TURNED ON MY HEAT. DROPPED TO LOW 20S AND WAS STILL IN 20S AT 6 AM.
DEVONNE......GREAT PIX OF YOUR FLOWERS. YOU ARE SO LUCKY. I MISS HAVING MY FLOWER GARDEN. I LOVE COLOR.
GREAT NEWS ON YOUR RESULTS. PRAYERS AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS CONTINUING.
THANK YOU FOR THE MEATBALL RECIPE. I NEVER HEARD OF THAT SPECIAL SEASONING. AND ADDING GRAPE JELLY TO THE SAUCE SEEMS STRANGE. BUT IF ITS GOOD, ITS WORTH IT.
I HAD A WHITE SEWING MACHINE WHEN I WAS A KID. MY MOM BOUGHT ME A FLOOR MODEL SINCE I WAS INTERESTED IN SEWING. IT WAS THE HEAVIEST THING TO MOVE, ALL METAL AND HARDWOOD, IN BLOND. WHEN MARRIED AND WE MOVED TO FLA. I SOLD IT. IT WAS A REAL WORKHOUSE FOR MANY YEARS BUT ONLY A FEW FANCY STICHES. I REALLY MISSED IT.
JUDY......SORRY FOR THE RELAPSE. I GUESS SOME THINGS THESE DAYS ARE GETTING HARDER AND HARDER TO HEAL. I SEE IT HERE IN THIS BLDG WITH SOME OF THE LADIES. COLDS LAST FOREVER.
THEY CANCELLED OUR FLU SHOTS HERE TODAY. TIL THURSDAY AT 11. GOOD THING ON THE TIME SINCE I HAVE A HEART DR APPT AT 3 SO I CAN MANAGE BOTH APPTS.
MY STEAK AND SALAD HIT THE SPOT LAST NITE. I HAVE ENOUGH LEFTOVER STEAK FOR A SANDWICH FOR LUNCH. WORKS FOR ME.
I THINK MAYBE LAUNDRY WILL BE DONE THIS AFTERNOON. I HAVE THE TIME AND WANT TO GET IT DONE BEFORE MY ARM MAY BE ACHING FROM THE SHOTS.
HAVE A GOOD DAY MY FRIENDS. HUGS, QB S

Just a quick Good Morning!! Tracy just got up, so need to visit with her. It is very still outside, rained overnight. I really hate to run so quickly, but Tracy and Kendra need to get on the road and I need to visit with them. Will run for now, will check back in tomorrow. Have a wonderful day, everyone, Love, BJ.

Sandra, I have a recipe for sweet and sour meatballs, in which you cook them in a sauce of grape jelly and chili sauce. Or cranberry sauce and chili sauce for Christmas time.
I saw the NP at the dermatologist for a skin check. She did the freezing spray for a couple of areas, and biopsy of a little area. Then we went to Olive Garden for lunch. Came home for a nap!

Good Morning to everyone!! It is fairly breezy outside and dry!! I have absolutely no energy this morning so think I will hit my chair and hope for some better weather. The heater in my living room is not working so that's not good. Will wrap up in my blanket and try to stay warm.
Hope all of you are doing well, wishing you all the best, BJ.

A police officer attempts to stop a car for speeding and the guy gradually increases his speed until he's topping 100 mph. The man eventually realizes he can't escape and finally pulls over. The cop approaches the car and says, "It's been a long day and my shift is almost over, so if you can give me a good excuse for your behavior, I'll let you go." The guy thinks for a few seconds and then says, "My wife ran away with a cop about a week ago. I thought you might be that officer trying to give her back!"
I SEE BJ GOT IN BEFORE I FINISHED. SO HERE GOES AGAIN.....
TONITE IS BINGO NITE. WE STILL HAVE A COUPLE NOT DOING TOO WELL SO MAYBE THEY WON'T SHOW. I HOPE THEY ARE BETTER.
I PLAN TO MAKE A CHICKEN NOODLE CASSEROLE TONITE SO I CAN SHARE WITH MY DAUGHTER TOMORROW. SHE, LIKE ME, NEVER LIKES COOKING. I NEVER DID MUCH OF IT TILL I RETIRED AND HAD THE TIME. NOW I SHARE.
TOMORROW WILL BE A BUSY DAY WITH BOTH THE FLU AND COVID SHOTS IN THE MORNING AND MY HEART DOC IN THE AFTERNOON. I CAN ONLY HOPE ALL IS WELL ON THAT END OF THE DAY.
I STARTED READING DAVID BRENNER'S AUTOBIO YESTERDAY, SOFT PRETZELS AND MUSTARD BUT THE GUY IS A PRACTICAL JOKER AND TOLD ABOUT LOTS OF THOSE AND I DO NOT LIKE PRANKSTERS AND PRACTICAL JOKES SO I PUT THE BOOK IN THE LIBRARY BAG. MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE CAN ENJOY IT.
I STARTED A DONNA ANDREWS BOOK, THE TWELVE JAYS OF CHRISTMAS. ITS MORE MY TYPE OF READING. A LIGHT MURDER MYSTERY AND EXCITING FOLKS TO BLEND IN.
THAT'S IT FROM ME. HAVE A NICE DAY. HUGS, QB S

I actually did some sewing, yay me! I had 4 zigzag table runner tops made, I sewed all four to the backing and batting! I have to trim the down, turn right side out, and quilt/topstitch the tops. Each takes about 45 minutes to quilt.
Sandra, I hope you do well with bingo!
Even with Claritin, we’re both coughing from allergies.
Theresa, safe travels! My door is always open!
It’s 13 years today that my friend Sam died. On Mischief Night day, so appropriate. Her name was actually Linda, which was the big name in our age group. We had her, Linda K (who is also deceased), Linda G (Heather’s godmother), and Linda H (who hung out with us occasionally). You couldn’t swing a cat without hitting a Linda!
We’re in a record stretch of no rain, I think 30 days. The whole area is a no campfire or fire pit zone. And no rain in the forecast. It’s back up into the 70’s today.

I'm feeling much better today. Still fatigued, though. Guess that will be for awhile, since I'm tired alot anyway.
QB, for not liking to cook, you sure feed a lot of people. Think what it would be like if you did...like to cook. I say the same, but am still always looking for that recipe to end all recipes. Anxious to try Devonne's meatballs when I get the ingredients. We will have some leftover pseudo chili for supper. Made with ground chicken which Howard declares is not hamburger! I'm determined not to waste food but to eat it up while it's still good. I've always thrown away the bread heels, but we eat them now...well, Howard does. If there is a regular slice and the heel left, he always gets the heel!
QB, thank for the daily "funnies". I look forward to them. You've spoiled us in many ways over the years. A better friend could not be found.
We have a clearer view of the highway as more and more leaves fall. Another reason for loving summer and that privacy, more. Our colors have been beautiful, too, this year. And some of the bushes around the edge of the woods are still full of green leaves. Tom and Shena have lined their/our property line with some kind of tall pine trees (years ago) and of course, they stay green.
I can't believe it's time to change our clocks this Sunday. I thought there was one more week. Personally, I prefer "slow" time as it was once called. The drastic change to earlier darkness being the one thing rather depressing. I sort of play a waiting game for the winter solstice when it again starts getting lighter, albeit, a quite slow process. When I was growing up, my grandparents didn't yap about the weather all the time and they were farmers. Maybe because the weather forecast wasn't that finely tuned as it is now.
Well, as you can see, I have nothing to talk about, so will say 'goodbye' and sweet dreams, later.

A young boy came home from school and told his mother, "I had a big fight with my classmate. He called me a sissy." The mother asked, "What did you do?" The boy replied, "I hit him with my purse!"
ITS GOING TO BE A HOTTY TODAY, IN THE HIGH 70S. WEIRD. WINDOWS ARE OPEN AGAIN AND MY FANS ARE GOING FULL BLAST.
JUDY.......YES, I REALLY DON'T LIKE TO COOK BUT DO IT FOR NECESSITY. NO ONE ELSE HERE TO COOK FOR MY MEALS.
OUR FALL WAS COLORFUL TOO. ITS BECAUSE NO RAIN AND WIND BEFORE OUR BEST DATES. THOSE TEAR OFF THE LEAVES TOO SOON AND TURNS THEM BROWN.
LINDA.....GOOD TO SEE YOU POSTING.
WE DON'T GET KIDS HERE ANYMORE EITHER. WE USED TO DRESS UP OURSELVES AND HAVE A TABLEFUL OF BOWLS OF CANDY FOR THE KIDS IN OUR ENTRYWAY. I HAD A WITCH'S HAT AND A HALLOWEEN VEST EACH YEAR. THE KIDS GO TO SAFER PLACES THESE DAYS, WHICH IS GOOD.
HOLLY......I WON $5 AT BINGO LAST NITE. I ALSO COOKED A NEW CASSEROLE, A SOUR CREAM CHICKEN NOODLE BAKE. IT WAS PRETTY GOOD SO I SHARED A BIT HERE AND WILL MOST HOME WITH MY DAUGHTER TODAY AFTER MY DR APPT.
ITS FLU AND COVID SHOTS THIS AM AND THEN MY REGULAR HEART DR CHECKUP AT 3. LOTS GOING ON TODAY.
WILL GET MYSELF DRESSED FOR THE FIRST BIT OF FUN.
HUGS FOR ALL, QB S

Sandra, yay! Linda, I love it!
I trimmed the excess from the 4 table runners, now to turn them right side out.
Happy Birthday Devonne! Have a spook-tacular day!
We have our bowl of candy ready, we get from zero to ten kids. We’re 1/3 mile off the main road, down a hill, so they don’t want to walk back.

Happy Birthday, Devonne. I knew someone else who was a Halloween baby. Was my deceased friend, Kay's firstborn, a son. Hope you have a great day!
We just got home from voting. I figured we'd better go while I was feeling pretty well. Howard stood in line for only about 20 minutes. Not knowing how many were inside, I took the walker in and was met at the door by a man who immediately asked me if I needed to sit down. Of course, I did and joined up with Howard when he became 1st in line. Sometimes it's good to be white-haired, and using a walker. I was even asked if I would need help voting. Not sure I convinced that man I was capable of it, myself! Afterwards, I got a Wendy's single burger. It was delicious. Then, we went to the grocery to the tune of $28, so you know we didn't get much.
Congrats. QB on the $5 win. Hope your appts. today have gone well...and that you had a nice visit with Colleen.

I'm totally stunned. Just got a text from the son of my classmate, Ruthie saying she passed away last night. She's the one who lived very near Devonne. I need to go and reply to his text.

Thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes...the big 75 today!
I didn't get great news at the dr's office. Gary and Emily went with me and we all listened to my doctor, as he explained what is needed. I will need more surgery to remove more breast tissue. I don't understand it all, but I didn't "clear" the margins needed. He doesn't think a mastectomy is necessary, but Emily and my ex-SIL thinks that is what I should do. Greg says trust your doctor's advice. So many different opinions, lol.
Monday I will go for a CT scan and a bone scan. I can do these at my local hospital two miles away. I have questions I forgot to ask so I'll ask him next Wednesday. I have a pre-op appointment then.
Gary and Emily took me to Longhorn for my birthday and we had time for Emily to go vote. A really nice day after all! She had to go straight to work after we got home.
ETA: Judy, so sorry to hear about Ruthie passing.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Devonne. I hope you've had a wonderful day.
Winter has arrived here. Duluth and south of us are getting snow today. Only gray here at my house.
