Good Morning, I'm having a hard time getting the letters in correctly, but I'm trying. Took Frank his coffee. It's a beautiful day, very still. Think it must have rained overnight. But the sun is out now, lovely!!
Rhonda has a dermatologist appt. this morning, at 8:30. Assume she'll be by here very soon. It is only 48* here this morning, but so lovely.
Well, I really don't have anything else to say, so will sign off, hoping you all are having a fine day, BJ.

Good evening friends.
It was a cold one yesterday!! 48 degrees for the high and rain showers on and off thru the day. Today was cool but lovely so Dean and I went for a long walk in the park. I have my 3 month A1c and BP check tomorrow and the walk the day before helps with the BP for sure.
Trish, I had a similar experience with the cataract surgery. I felt very uncomfortable during my first one; saw the bursts of color like you did. It was not painful but I did not like it. The second one was a breeze with no discomfort at all. The second one went much faster too. I think my left eye must have had a very think cataract and my right did not. It also had some macular tissue wrinkling so he had to work around that. I am just glad it is done. It took almost a year by the time I had cataract surgery, macula surgery a few months later and then full recovery before second cataract. Vision was wonky for a long time.
Glad to see most of us are doing OK if not well.
Schools (teachers) can indeed be frustrating. Some of these people should not be in a classroom, but I honestly think most staff do well. In my opinion, too much involvement with counselors these days, and I was a secretary in the HS counselors office!! Kids were told to come to this office if they needed to " chill out" or calm down. Some kids were there EVERY math period. No joke.

My usual busy! Trying to coordinate the radiation treatment for my MIL! BIL & wife are great to work with! MIL has a friend that will take her to some of the treatments, so that is good!
Leave in 2 weeks to go get Luke. Will stop at a quilt store in Virginia, that is on my route. I will stop there the first day and then decide how much further I can drive after that.
Nothing new since my last post!
Later my Friends!

Thinking of DEVONNE this week, so good to hear you did so well in the first procedure ((((hugs)))) those darn bee stings, the double hurts, my sedation was like that one, don't like the guy much, only need to see him one more time LOL
SANDRA that's a big loss for you, know it won't break the bank, but the next one might be lucky, your chicken sounds good, I got a new air fryer, haven't even used it yet, might do one of the easy chicken recipes I found.
I'm reading a bit, but it's ben fairly sunny, so hard to do things with glare, and the computer was a no go last couple days. It is getting better each day though CHERYL so thanks for telling me how it was for you, this one was really thick, so expecting shorter time next time, it did take quite a while for the removal. if they hadn't sedated me I might have started wriggling LOL
HOLLY shame they got into a spat about the test, i used to tell the teacher sometimes that the answer wasn't really correct, but they told me it was more about understanding how to read a question and answer at their level, they SHOULD'T mark incorrect and not be so pig headed, but rules are rules I guess. Hope you enjoyed your "eating" day, more importantly the catch up with friends. doesn't it seem sometimes that all the invites are for the same day LOL
JANET hope you get all your things sorted for retreat, I had packed most of my stuff for our last one, then got covid - yuk!! So had to unpack it all, and really didn't feel like sewing anyway, I still have the Quilt As You Go to finish, I don't like it, so I might just quickly machine the sashing joining and call it done, that is all that's left.
DEVONNE sending hugs and my prayers that you are over this now, and recovering. It's along couple days for you, rest and recuperate.
BJ I'm worried you don't feel right, talk to your girls, maybe you are not drinking enough water, sometimes that makes you be a bit "off kilter"
We had a small snake in our front garden yesterday, the Mr had me watch him to make sure he didn't try to get into the garage, it was a red-bellied black, they have full strength venom when born, so even though tiny he could give a good bite, we called council and our local WIRES (animal protection) and they both said it's probably passion thorough, NOPE not only watch, he might 'pass through' my garage, and more to the point WHERE IS MUMMY LOL
Poor little guy didn't seem well to me, he seemed to want to be in the shade (they love sunning themselves) and just moved a tiny bit at a time to stay out of the sunlight, W picked up Dean and I checked a couple times, he hadn't moved, then I realised he'd died, only a tiny little thing about 12" long. I am till a little worried about mum and the rest of his brothers and sisters - we'll keep a look out!
My brother has a stomach bacteria problem, no idea what or how long, he's getting 'treatment' according to Sis in law she wouldn't say, but he will find out on Monday what treatment they are giving him for the cancer. Such a wealth of communication, and all he's say is he's the luckiest man on earth with his family!! (Not referring to sis and me LOL ) Keep telling myself --- Frozen song "Let It Go" really hate that song LOL

Ladies, I am doing well! My main complaint is my throat is irritated from the tube. Not in hardly any pain from the lumpectomy nor the lymph node biposy...that may change tomorrow when all the meds wear off, lol. It will be days before I know the biopsy results. He said since my C was so small, he thinks 90% chance the lymph nodes won't be C.
Theresa, I hope you make it to get Luke before the snow comes and bad roads.
Gary is spending the night with me. I told him I was ok, but he said I'm coming to stay, lol. Emily sent dinner. The mashed potatoes were so good for my irritated throat. They were both at the hospital with me. Greg had to leave early to go pickup Carter. Of all weeks for him to get early release, lol. They came back and stayed until 8 pm.

Devonne, I’m glad you are doing well!
Theresa, I saw the pic of your sewing room on Facebook, so huge! And great windows!
My nephew and wife got the baby’s “identity” as my brother put it. my brother doesn’t want to know before it’s born, so he left the room when they shared. I texted my nephew, and shhhh, it’s a girl! So exciting for them! A boy would be just as exciting.
Cheryl, yeah, some kids want to get out of a class every day. We’d have kids make the rounds. Guidance, me, school based youth services, the main office.

Theresa- which quilt shop in VA are you planning to stop at. In what town?
Online!
Q. What did the elephant say to the naked man?
A. "How do you breathe through something so small?"
ITS A NICE DAY HERE WITH SUNSHINE. ANOTHER FROST LAST NITE. I HOPE OUR GARDENERS HAVE PUT THEIR PLOTS TO BED FOR THE WINTER.
DEVONNE......GLAD TO HEAR THE WORST IS BEHIND YOU AND YOUR KIDS ARE TAKING CARE OF YOU. ITS GOOD TO HAVE A LITTLE HELP FOR A DAY OR TWO. WISHING YOU FAST HEALING AND LITTLE PAIN.
HOLLY......I LOVE THAT WE CAN KNOW THE SEX OF THE NEW BABY BEFOREHAND. WHEN MY KIDS WERE A QUESTION MARK, IT WAS A WORRY THAT THE COLORS WOULD BE RIGHT. MY FIRST BABY SHOWER I GOT LOTS OF THINGS BLUE BUT PAINTED MY NURSERY PINK. WE HAD A GIRL AND SHE HAD BLUE EYES SO IT WORKED OUT BUT I WOULD HAVE PREFERRED MORE PINK GIFTS.
TRISH.....IT SEEMS THE WORST FOR YOU IS OVER. YOU HAD ISSUES THAT TOOK MORE TIME. THE SECOND ONE MAY BE A BREEZE IN COMPARISON.
THERESA....SINCE YOU ARE MOVING LUKE IN 2 WEEKS, YOU WON'T HAVE TO DEAL WITH SNOW IN MAINE. ITS MUCH TOO EARLY FOR THAT TO HAPPEN. COLD WEATHER, THO, IS UPON US. SOME COLD NITES. YOU WILL MAKE THE MOVE OK I'M SURE.
IT SEEMS YOUR MIL IS BEING WELL TAKEN CARE OF. IT MAKES THINGS EASIER FOR YOU.
STRINGS......SORRY DH'S EYE EXAM HAD ISSUES AND HE NEEDS GLASSES. I AM SURE YOU AND YOUR SON CAN HANDLE IT ALL. YOU ARE VERY GOOD AT DOING THINGS AS NEEDED.
THINKING A CHICKEN AND NOODLE CASSEROLE TODAY. I HAVE THE CHICKEN BREAST DEFROSTED.
NOT MUCH MORE HAPPENING FOR ME.
HAVE A GOOD DAY. HUGS, QB S

Good morning. I slept until 8:33. Didn't even hear Howard get up but he took his clothes and dressed in the living room. He's pretty quiet, but I usually do hear him.
We've had a couple of busy days this week. First, Tues. lunch with Carol and Albert at Chili's and then, we decided to do an outing to Bailey's Discount Store on Wed. It's 35 miles away and claims it's building is 7 acres. Could be! They have cheap junk and cheap good bargains. Howard gets an e-mail every week, but we only go about twice a year. After that, we drove 25 miles north to Ollie's as there were two things specifically that I was looking for there. One was another or two bras like the one I got last time. Only, when I got home, I'd gotten the wrong size. Grrrr. Oh well, it's closer than Bailey's and we'll get to go soon again to return them.
Devonne, good report from you . So glad when push comes to shove, your very different sons can step up for you, together. Praying for good news all the way around.
Theresa, bet you can't wait for all your chicks to be within driving distance. At least I think it will be that way with Luke? Wishing the best for your dear MIL. And nice that all the family members are cordial and co-operative. You need that after the past couple of years.
It's quite fall-ish around here, now. Furnace is purring away, as needed. I'm one who wants to wait as long as possible. Not Howard. He wants to be warm...and I really do, too.
Trish, glad things are going well enough for you after your surgery. Scary about the snake. We only have one venomous critter around here, the brown recluse spider. I've never seen one. They say there are a few small rattlers at the Dunes but I don't think they're ever a problem. And that's 10 miles from here. I always thought snakes were loners and once hatched from their egg, go there own way. But, I thinks there are some snakes that have live births, though, so maybe they stay in a brood for awhile. It's years since we've seen a harmless garter snake here.
BJ, hope you're feeling perkier. Trish's suggestion was a good place to start. Hard to drink much when you're our age. We just forget, not feeling thirsty, much.
I was always reminding (nagging) my Mom, to no avail, I might add! She's been gone 5 year on the 14th. Seems forever and yet seems like yesterday. Why is that?
Have a nice day. Wishing everyone the best.
Indy

Good Morning, I'm feeling pretty lazy this morning. It is so still outside, only movement is in the very tallest trees and then only a few leaves moving. I really don't have anything to say this morning. My Tracy is in a mess, with a lot of surgery on her face, not really sure what it is all about. Not sure when I'll see her again. Think Rhonda will be over this afternoon.
Think I will sign off, sending love and best wishes to everyone, BJ.
Offline
BJ I am so sorry for your poor Tracy, she is a mess, please ladies send good thoughts her way, she had surgery for Melanoma, and will have more to come (((((hugs)))))
DEVONNE so good to hear it all went well, you could try a little pineapple juice for the throat, I had a horrible throat after the hysterectomy and that helped, also get some throat lozenges if you can - I love your boys have stepped up and will help you, both together and apart.
SANDRA I am going to try the air fryer tonight, Pete tried to heat up something in it yesterday, we couldn't figure out how to start it LOL It will be a steep learning curve I think.
INDY quite the shopping/fun day out you had. Isn't that always the way, the wrong size, i have done it a few times, now I try to do the old quilt check, measure twice cut once - into check size twice LOL they make the size so small on this things.
STRINGS I hope D can get used to his new script, it might take a while, he did well with the drops all the time, It is a pain in the neck to do, and I am NOT patient.
THERESA you have been so busy for so long, you really need to have a break, I am glad you have help with your MIL, the load shared is so much easier (((hugs))))
HOLLY I know they all like to know the sex of the baby before hand, I never did want to know, I did find out for Pete, accidentally, the specialist made a comment about "he" , wasn't happy about that. I know I am in the minority LOL almost everyone wants to know before now.
CHERYL I am sorry the news from your family is not getting better, it happens sadly, I hope the situation improves and your BIL gets better.
I am going to be pottering today, just did an online grocery order, so much easier than walking the store. I love that it asks me "did you forget" at the end. I really should have got the 10lb bag of flour, but I just don't need it yet, it's a saving of $4, but I won't need it for a couple weeks, so I won't add it.
I am sure I am forgetting something, sorry if I should have answered. I need to get showered and dressed, it's late and I am being lazy.
JANET I though of you when I was =19.5pxdriving home last night, - no glare or halo, and the street lights were bright white, not surrounded by the rainbow, so I guess the surgery worked - so I was happy about that, didn't even have to put my sunglasses on!

Here's my story and I'm sticking to it, lol!
I've been resting today. Didn't get a shower. You have to wait 24 hours, so I'll do this tomorrow. I was able to change bras today. I am a pretty blue & purple color, lol.
We had a few things that didn't go so great...I will use the word "disorganization" by medical and hospital staff.
When I got there, I had to wait 20 minutes to get registered and they called me back for the mammogram. She said "have you gotten the wires inserted yet?" I said, "no, I thought this was to see if the biopsy clip was still in place." She said, I'll be right back. Then another nurse came & got me, I was put in a room for 20 minutes, then my doctor came in. I felt so much better after he assured me he was "going after" the spot in the first biopsy and the second biopsy, so he had to insert two wires. Then we headed off to get the mammogram. Everything was in place and it was a go. I was glad to head over to Outpatient Surgery. I thought it was unusual (weird?) you have to do the wire localization in his office, then travel across the street to Outpatient Surgery. Why isn't all of this done at the hospital?
When taken to the operating room, the nurse said she was going to put an oxygen mask on me and told me to take deep breaths. I guess that was the anesthesia because I never saw the anesthesiologist after he came into the prep room & introduced himself. That's the last thing I remember, lol. I do remember her asking me if I had acid reflux.
In recovery, I complained that the IV was hurting and she said it would be another 10 minutes before she could remove it. She did flush it out and it felt better.
The nurse sent Gary ahead of us to get our car. They valet park your car at Outpatient Surgery. Greg chose to park across the street because he had to leave early to pick Carter up at school...smart move! The young lady that parked our car dropped my keys in another car. Thankfully, that car was still there, but we had to wait 20 minutes on my vehicle. Why did she all of a sudden remember this and had not already retrieved them? These are all surgical patients and this should never happen.
There was a little disorganization at the doctor's office and the hospital (having to register twice; once at the doctor's office and again at the hospital...one armband off and a new one at the hospital). My doctor's office told us to go to Short Stay and we didn't have to register. That was not true. We had to re-register, kinda redundant and time consuming for us and the staff.
They also gave us paper prescriptions! Who does this anymore? Who feels like going to the pharmacy after being at the hospital all day? They should have been called in. Gary had to wait 45 minutes in line to turn in my three prescriptions. He waited an hour today to pick them up. I will complain about all of this when I'm asked for my feedback.
All in all, everything went well and everyone was helpful. The nurse in the prep room shared her cancer story with me and my sons. She got a colonoscopy last year and discovered she had colon cancer. They had to remove part of her colon. She told me she understood what I'm going thru. She was a very kind lady.
Then I got a FB message from Billy's nephew's wife (who happens to be my best friend growing up), and she said she had the same thing done when she was 46. She took the hormone therapy pill for 5 years and is cancer free. That is what I will be taking after radiation.
End of story.......

Trish, I do have logenzes for dry mouth so I'm using those. I'll get Gary to pick me up some hard sugar free candy tomorrow and some banana popsicles. I guess that's why they want you to drink Gatorade so you won't be dehydrated and it helps with the throat irritation. I had water instead.
Linda, I'm glad Darrell is getting his glasses. I hope he can see well with them. You are a good wife.
Theresa, are you still watching The Curse of Oak Island. There's a video on YT that says it's finally over, but I haven't watched it yet. I am finally learning not to believe everything on YT, lol.
I'm going to take a pain pill to help me go to sleep. I haven't had any pain at all, just tenderness.

Good Morning to everyone!! Tracy's Jamie is here taking care of us. He is so nice. It is a very windy morning. The trees are blowing all over the place. It is 55* outside, so not too bad. It has been raining, not sure right now if it is or not. The flag sure is whipping around.
I have no plans for the day, my brain isn't working too well. Well, think I'd better sign off. Hope you all have a wonderful day, BJ.

Let’s just say…the sun is shining, it’s 50*…all is well. Let’s see how long that lasts.
Online!
Two guys are walking through a game park & they come across a lion that has not eaten for days. The lion starts chasing the two men. They run as fast as they can and the one guy starts getting tired and decides to say a prayer, "Please turn this lion into a Christian, Lord." He looks to see if the lion is still chasing and he sees the lion on its knees. Happy to see his prayer answered, he turns around and heads towards the lion. As he comes closer to the lion, he hears it saying a prayer: "Thank you Lord for the food I am about to receive."
THE SUN IS SHINING AND TEMPS IN THE 60S TODAY. CAN'T COMPLAIN.
BJ.....SORRY THAT TRACY IS NOT WELL. I AM SENDING ALONG PRAYERS AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS FOR HER FULL RECOVERY.
HOW NICE HER HUBBY COMES ALONG TO HELP YOU OUT WHEN SHE CAN'T. YOU HAVE WONDERFUL CHILDREN AND HAVE BEEN BLESSED.
JUDY.........THINKING OF THOSE THAT PASSED BEFORE US........WE JUST MISS THEM SO DARN MUCH MY FRIEND.
YOU AND HUBBY GET OUT QUITE A BIT AND ENJOY YOURSELVES WITH FRIENDS. THAT'S SO GREAT. KEEP IT UP.
DEVONNE......WHAT A SAGA. YOU DESERVE TO REST UP FOR THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS AFTER WHAT THEY PUT YOU THRU.
I KNOW WE ALWAYS SAY TO STAY STRONG AND POSITIVE, BUT YOU KNOW THAT THERE WILL BE TIMES WHEN WE NEED A GOOD CRY. GO FOR IT GIRL. THAT, TOO, CAN BE HEALING. AND REMEMBER WE ARE ALL HERE WITH OUR STRONG SHOULDERS TO LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN.
HUGS FOR YOU AS YOU HEAL NOW.
I MADE MY OWN VERSION OF A TUNA NOODLE CASSEROLE LAST NITE. A SMALL ONE SO DID NOT SHARE. ONLY AN 8 BY 8 PAN. I JUST DUMP ALL THE INGREDIENTS I WANT IN A LARGE BOWL (CHICKEN AND NOODLES ALREADY COOKED) AND STIR THEM TOGETHER. POUR INTO A BUTTERED DISH AND THEN TOP WITH SOME SHREDDED CHEDDAR CHEESE. I CAN ADD WHATEVER VEGGIES I LIKE OR HAVE ON HAND AND THE SAME FOR THE CREAM SOUP. WHATEVER IS HANDY. ITS MADE TO MY LIKING. ENJOYED IT IMMENSELY.
I DID MY MORNING LAPS AND WORKED A BIT ON MY JIGSAW PUZZLE THIS MORNING. HAD FRUIT AND JUICE FOR MY BREAKFAST.
MY SON GOT HOME SAFELY FROM SAN JUAN LAST NITE. IT MADE ME FEEL SO MUCH BETTER HE WAS HOME. HE SAID THEY LOVED IT THERE AND HOPE TO GO BACK AGAIN SOON.
I SIGNED UP FOR THE INFORMED DELIVERY AT USPS ONLINE. I WAS SURPRISED TO GET AN EMAIL THAT I HAVE MAIL ON ITS WAY. ENVELOPES FROM A COUPLE OF THE PLACES I DONATE. NO PACKAGE IN VIEW YET THO I HAVE SOME KITCHEN SPONGES AND DISPOSABLE GLOVES ORDERED. I SHOULD SEE THOSE IN THE NEXT 2 WEEKS. I WAS SURPRISED AND PLEASED.
WE GOT THE OFFICIAL NOTICE THAT WE WILL GET FLU SHOTS THE END OF THE MONTH. I ALWAYS LIKE WHEN ITS OFFICIAL.

Devonne, if there is one thing the medical profession is good at, it’s bureaucratic BS. And insurance companies make it worse.
Ralph is at. CPR/narcan refresher at our town fire department. I put laundry away, quilted 2 Halloween tablerunners and did a blog post.
