Re: ODT SUNDAY SEPT 29 ~ SAT OCT 5

A child asked his father, "How were people born?" So his father said, "Adam and Eve made babies, then their babies became adults and made babies, and so on." The child then went to his mother, asked her the same question and she told him, "We were monkeys then we evolved to become like we are now." The child ran back to his father and said, "You lied to me!" His father replied, "No, your mom was talking about her side of the family."
A BIT CLOUDY TODAY.  TEMPS ARE COOLER THESE DAYS AND ENJOYED.
I HAVE A BIT OF CLEANING TO DO TODAY.  HAVE BEEN LAX.  WHEN I READ, I READ TOO MUCH AND LEAVE THE DIRT PILING UP.  TODAY I NEED TO CLEAR A PATH.
MADE CHICKEN RICE SOUP FOR US LAST NITE.  I SAVED ENOUGH FOR MY SON TO TAKE HOME AND I WILL ALSO BE MAKING HIS FAVORITE TATER TOT CASSY TODAY TO TAKE HOME AS WELL.  I LOVE IT SO CAN'T COMPLAIN.
SO FAR I HAVE NOT SEEN ANY XMAS COMMERCIALS.

TRISH.....I ALWAYS LIKED ROSEMARY AND THYME AS WELL.  NOW I AM INTO THE YORKSHIRE VET.  THE SERIES IS FROM ABOUT 7 YEARS AGO.  ITS REALLY THE SURGERY OF SKELDALE IN THIRSK WHERE THE REAL JAMES HERRIOTT PRACTICED.  ONE OF THE VETS TRAINED UNDER HIM YEARS AGO.  I LOVE THIS SHOW.  LOVE THE SCENERY.
I CAN UNDERSTAND YOU LEAVING THE MR. TO HIS OWN DEVICES.  HE'S A BIG BOY.  IT HE HURTS HE NEEDS TO TAKE CHARGE.

WISHING YOU ALL A GOOD DAY.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY SEPT 29 ~ SAT OCT 5

Good Morning, Tracy just got up and is taking the dog outside.  So I'll be very brief.  Just wanted to say Hi! and Goodbye!  Hope you are all well.   I need to get moving and take a shower.  We are taking family Christmas pictures today, so must get going.   Sending love to everyone, BJ.

Re: ODT SUNDAY SEPT 29 ~ SAT OCT 5

Made us a brunch dish that was pieces of croissant with cheese, sausage, and eggs baked. I made half the recipe, and it made an 8x8 pan. It got the Ralph approval, but he’s easy to please. Enough left to nuke tomorrow.

it’s nice and sunny out, in the low 70’s. I saw another possible hurricane headed for Florida, yikes!

Dinner will be leftovers of a garlic chicken and veggie dish from last night, that was a bag meal from Birds Eye brand.

AFTERNOON!

YESTERDAY GOT A HAIRCUT, LUNCH AND A GOT TO GO TO JOANN'S. NOT A BIG DEAL FOR MOST OF YOU BUT IT IS NICE FOR ME TO HET OUT A LITTLE BIT.

I HAD BEEN TRYINHGTO KNIT A BABY AFGHAN, BUT GOOFED IT UP TO TIPPED IT OUT. UPSET ME SINCE ABOUT 3/4 DONE. HAD SPENT A LOT OF TIME ON IT. DON'T THINK I WILL ATTEMPT AGAIN. IF I COULD HAVE SEEN BETTER, COULD HAVE FIXED IT. I HAD MADE A HAT TO GO WITH IT. THAT WILL HAVE TO DO. WILL MAKE HIM SEVERAL HATS. IF MESS UP NEAR THE END, NOT SUCH A BIG DEAL. WANT TO KNIT SOME FOR CHARITIES TOO.

DARRELL IS DOING PRETTY WELL. STILL COMPAINING ABOUT THE DROPS BURNING HIS EYES. HE STILL WANTS TO RUB THEM. MEN ARE NOT THE BESDT PATIENTS. AFTER THE DROPS, HE WANTS HIS EYES COMPLETELY DRY. I TELL HIM THEY WILL TRY, BUT I STILL HAVE TO KEEP GENTLY WIPING WITH A TISSUE.

SUNNY TODAY. NICE AFTER SO MUCH RAIN.

SANDRA, NOT SURE I HAVE TOLD YOU THAT I LIKE YOUR JOKES AND RIDDLES. THANKS FOR DOING THOSE.

TANKE CARE.

THINKING OF EVERYONE. PRAYERS..............................

Re: ODT SUNDAY SEPT 29 ~ SAT OCT 5

Hope everyone is having a relaxing weekend.

Trish, the spanish bar is a spice cake with raisins and a thin icing. I can't remember if it had nuts or not, but I'll know when I review the recipes. Here's a picture of one. It is always only two layers.

Re: ODT SUNDAY SEPT 29 ~ SAT OCT 5

Devonne, glad you found a chair you liked.  I have a Flexsteel sofa and hate it.  I want a new one and may look next year.  I never heard of the Ultra Comfort but it sounds awesome.
What are USPS emails?  Do they tell you what they delivered to your mailbox?
Thanks for posting that Spanish Bar cake photo; it is exactly what Dean wants.  I think Nickles Bakery used to make and sell them.  The recipe I tried was more like a spice cake...too fluffly.  This cake is dense.  Holly, the frosting I have had has always been vanilla, not cream cheese.

MaryLou, thank goodness your news was much better than you anticipated.  Hope you are feeling much better today.

Janet, oh how I remember pool closing time!  We had a large in ground pool at our previous house and when we wanted to move to a newer home Dean said NO POOL!  Does your winter cover have those strong supports (like where a dog could walk on it) or is it just a cover that lays on the water.  Do you drain a lot of of the pool to get below a freezing line?  We had to do that here in Ohio.

Holly, I have a Janome 6600 and I have never figured out the needle threader.  Bon Jovi was Kelli's favorite for sure.  I always think of her too, when listening to him.  Speaking of Christmas,  I have not seen any ads yet but today I was in Dollar Tree and one side of the aisle was Halloween and the other is now full of Christmas stuff!

Dean went down to Columbus today to visit with Anthony and family.  Andrew had another cross country race and Abby had Homecoming Dance.  He sent me a picture and oh, my!! Her dress was so short!!  I was surprised that her parents let her get such a short one even if it is the style.  Gabriel is going to his first dance next Saturday.  He has a girlfriend now and it doesn't seem possible that he was just a little tiny baby a short time ago.  Where have the years gone?
