I'll be first since it's now Sunday night
SANDRA how was lunch? Was it KFC or lobster roll, either would be yummy. When does Matt leave, tomorrow? I am up to the 4th season of Midsomer, where Troy is driving badly and getting chastised for it!
CHERYL I had not thought of Benedryl, but that seems to be hard to get here, maybe why the vet asked us to get Polaramine, it was hard to get down him till we found the push down the throat method, the number of times he ate the treat with it inside and then spat out the very small tablet LOL
DEVONNE how is the foot, still feeling OK, have you decided on the medication.
JANET your DD's dog is like Alfie, he's so big, he loves to sit on your lap, he just doesn't fit !! I can send you some rain, we have it, and it's cold!
I forget what else I wanted to comment on, OH yes, Covid is everywhere here. So many people have it, also the 'flu is pretty bad, so be careful when you get cooler months..
I had fun today, Megan had a new gadget, a Ninja creami, it makes sorbets, ice cream, dairy free ice cream, smoothies etc, she showed me the recipes, so I got online last night and it was delivered this afternoon, went shopping for some ingredients, and now have mango ready to make sorbet tomorrow night and dairy free coconut vanilla ice cream, they have to freeze 24 hours before you put them into the machine, took all of 5 mins prep for both - the MR won't stop eating ice cream, this way I get to put in what is healthier for him, The sorbets are just a can of fruit OR you can use fresh fruit, thought I'd try the canned first.
The delivery was so quick, got here within 24 hours. The big amazon warehouse is only 10 mins drive from here, so it's usually quick, I also got 4 extra containers, Megan will have 2, so we can have more frozen ready to use.
Pete made a suggestion for chicken burgers tonight, also some soup to start, so that is what we'll have, he's feeling much better, but has his 'work form home' days tomorrow and Tuesday, so it works well, the end of the financial year for him and work is crazy, I have encouraged him to take a Berroca every day till he is completely well.
Our tour is having problems, the operator who should have made all the bookings has only just started to do it and some places he can't get us in, he also wanted payment for entrance for Warwick castle, it wasn't listed as needing payment, and also wasn't on the list as 'payment included, the guy here is not happy, and JULIE is fuming, she has spent the last few days going back and forth to be sure the rest of the itinerary is correct. The european operator is at fault, no idea why he's left it till now. - YIKES, he had us in accomodation outside the wall in Edinburgh, had to change it, and has us outside London central, so opposite Greenwich, that's doable though. we can get the tube to and from there easily. And it looks nice and is on the Thames.
The Mr is looking forward to his treats, he asked for the sorbet first, didn't like the sound of 'dairy free' when I explained it's coconut milk he was happier LOL

Trish- that’s too bad about the trip plans being wonky. Hopefully it works out. Trip planning is not my thing. I even have trouble with nearby trips let alone a big one like yours. That’s probably part of the reason we don’t travel much. 🙄
Very hot again this morning and humid. I don’t complain about it as I hate the cold weather.
DH has been working on the the deck railings and posts through all this heat. Maybe if he had done it last fall/winter it would have gone faster with less complaining? But then he is a chronic complainer…always annoyed or angry about something almost every day. 😞
They are predicting T storms later today, but they’ve been saying that for a week now and not a drop! We have to add water to the pool and run the irrigation system at night. Easy job but we have a well (actually 2) and so have to be careful. When there’s a drought like this with no ground water, the shallow wells suffer. Ours are pretty deep but are still fragile.

TRISH......WE HAD A DOBERMAN PINSCHER, KAISSER, WHO LOVED TO SIT ON MY LAP. WHEN I WAS SITTING ON THE SOFA HE WOULD SIDLE UP BACKWARDS AND PLACE HIS BUM ON MY LAP. HIS LEGS WERE ON THE FLOOR BUT HE WAS DEFINITELY SITTING ON MY LAP. FUNNEEEEE.
I HOPE THAT NEW KITCHEN GADGET WORKS ITS WONDERS FOR YOU. IT SOUNDS LIKE IT SHOULD.
SORRY ABOUT THE MESS IN YOUR VACATION PLANS. I HOPE THINGS ARE RESOLVED TO YOUR LIKING SOON. SOME FOLKS JUST DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING.
CHERYL......THAT'S SUCH GOOD NEWS ABOUT AARON. WONDERFUL. I KNOW THE WHOLE FAMILY MUST BE SO PLEASED TO HEAR IT. NOW HE CAN GET ON WITH HIS LIFE AND ENJOY IT.
DEVONNE......I WILL HAVE TO CHECK INTO DOORDASH. WE LIVE IN A SMALL TOWN SO WE MAY NOT HAVE THAT AVAILABLE AROUND HERE.
JANET.....THAT'S HOW I GOT PILLS INTO MY DOGS WHEN NEEDED. YOU NEED TO PLACE THAT PILL JUST OVER THE HILL IN THE BACK OF THEIR THROAT SO THEY CAN'T SPIT IT OUT. THEN HOLD THEIR MUZZLE CLOSED A FEW SECONDS TIL THEY SWALLOW.
ANOTHER LOVELY DAY HERE. MY SON FLEW TO FLA. THIS MORNING. HE'S IN FORT LAUDERDALE AGAIN. HE LOVES THAT PLACE. YES, HE BROUGHT ME KFC FOR LUNCH WHICH I LOVED. HAD ENOUGH FOR SUPPER AS WELL. HE HAD SOME VEGGIE SOUP FOR HIS LUNCH WHILE HE WAS HERE. HE'S NOT A KFC FAN. EATS MORE HEALTHY THAN I DO, BUT SOMEHOW I HAVE MANAGED TO LIVE TO BE 82 SO FAR. I THINK I WILL CONTINUE TO EAT THE THINGS THAT PLEASE ME. AT MY AGE ITS ALL DOWNHILL FROM HERE SO TOO LATE TO MAKE MAJOR CHANGES IN MY BOOK. I WILL JUST ENJOY MY FOODS.
THAT'S IT FROM ME LADIES. WE GOT SOME RAIN SHOWERS A COUPLE TIMES YESTERDAY. IT HELPS THE WOODS AND WATER TABLE BUT NO STORMING SO IT WAS REFRESHING.
ITS SUNDAY SO YOU ALL KNOW IT MY DAY OF REST. I DON'T EVEN HAVE TO COOK WITH LEFTOVER SOUP IN THE FRIDGE. STAY SAFE.
HUGS, QB S

Cheryl, that's great news about Aaron.
Sandra, the first time I heard about Door Dash is when I hired a young lady to clean my house when I listed it for sale. She said "let's order from Door Dash." I said what's that, lol?
We had a little rain Friday evening. We sure could use more. I went to Walmart today for groceries and it felt like a furnace smacked me in the face when I walked outside. It was 94 today.
1/2 pill is what I'm giving Molly. It helps her a lot. I had to order medicine for yeast infection for her paws. I also got some antifungal wipes. I think she's allergic to grass. I have to make her go out now. I'm sure it's because her paws are inflamed.
Trish, I haven't decided yet about the prescription. It has some serious side effects and I heard Aleve is bad on your kidneys. I haven't ruled it completely out, but might try Tylenol 8 hr. for arthritis first. They aren't hurting right now. It's crazy, but only hurts on the top.
My CT scan is in the morning at 10:30 with the ENT doctor. My new tv is coming from 1:00-5:00. I hope they don't come early, as I have to sign for it. I sent them a mesage not to come early.
Did you know that if you put black pepper on your eggs before you cook them, it will make your eggs hard and not fluffy? Always pepper them afterwards. I never knew that.
Also, did you know if a cherry tree leaves turn brown, like from a fallen limb, they release cyannide and are poisonous to your farm animals/pets? I know crabapples are poisonous to dogs...not only the seeds and the core, but the stems and the leaves as well. I gave away a beautiful crabapple tree when I moved here.

DEVONNE......I KNEW THAT CHERRY PITS HAD CYANIDE IN THEM BUT THANKS FOR THE UPDATE ON THE BROWNING LEAVES.
AND YES, I HEARD ON SOME SHOW ABOUT BLACK PEPPER IN GENERAL. YOU SHOULD NOT PUT BLACK PEPPER IN YOUR RECIPES. INSTEAD PEPPER THE DISH WHEN IT IS SERVED. IT DOES SOMETHING, I FORGET WHAT, TO THE FOOD IF PEPPERED WHILE COOKING. I DID NOT KNOW ABOUT THE FLUFF OR NO FLUFF EGGS. THANKS AGAIN.
ITS A NICE DAY HERE. WE GOT A SCARY DARK AFTERNOON BUT THEN AMAZINGLY IT CLEARED AND THE SUN SHOWN. WE DID GET A SIMPLE SHOWER DURING THAT TIME BUT NOTHING BAD. OURS CAME FROM THE WEST THRU VERMONT AND NH, NOT THE SOUTH.
MY SON, ON THE OTHER HAND, HAD A DELAYED TAKEOFF FROM WASH. DC TO FLORIDA DUE TO T-STORMS IN THEIR PATH. BUT HE GOT THERE SAFE AND SOUND IN THE END.
I HAVE BOTH CHICKEN BREAST AND HAMBURG DEFROSTED FOR MEALS AND HAVE TO DECIDE WHAT TO COOK TODAY. NOTHING DIFFICULT, YOU CAN BE SURE.
THAT'S ALL THE NEWS FROM ME LADIES. STAY SAFE. HUGS, QB S

Good day my friends! It is sunny, 70 and beautiful! Nor sure what I am going to do today, but it will certainly involve going outdoors.
Aaron and family made it back from California last night. Dean took Bosco the giant dog home this morning. He missed his family but will miss being spoiled by us.
Sandra, Bosco "sits" on my lap that exact way. His feet are on the ground but he is on my lap. So nice that Matt and you have such a great bond. He is a good son for sure.
Trish, a friend of mine has the Ninja Creami and she loves it. She has lost 200 pounds over the last three years doing the weight watchers program. She is strict on her WW diet and only uses food as fuel, not as comfort. She also lets herself have sweets once a week and counts them in her "points". She uses the creami to make high protien shake ice creams. Sorry about the tour mixups. It is a good thing you found out now and not when you arrived. I am not a seasoned traveller and we do not leave home much.
Devonne, I never heard that about pepper on eggs either. Is that for just scrambled?
Have a great day all. I need to get my last load of laundry out of the dryer and go do something outside.

Good Morning to everyone. I haven't been able to get on here for a few days, so tried something different and finally got in!! I am fairly well, just really old and trying to get through the days!!
I really don't have much to say, so I will sign off, hope everyone is well. Have a wonderful day everyone!! BJ.

We had an errand to run, so went to Aldi, which we are getting to like a lot. I figure if I get my perishables there, I can cut my trips to shop rite way back.
It’s getting hot again after the rain last night.

Cheryl, I don't know about all eggs but. like Sandra said, it's probably best to keep black pepper out of all recipes & add later.
I had the CT Scan done this morning and was very surprised the doctor read it, not a radiologist. Sinuses have no blockages and they look great! I asked what is causing the snorting and draining and he said allergies! They test for 40 allergens known to this area. This is why none of the antibiotics were working. I'll schedule this after my knee appointment, which is right next door. I have to be off Allegra for two weeks.
My tv is coming today and I'm so excited! Greg said to let him know when it arrives and he's on the way. They will put it inside the door.

CHERYL I forgot to comment on your good news, great news for Aaron, and all of you!!! think you might miss that big boy! Even if he is hard work.
DEVONNE I had never heard of the pepper added later, I have always salt/peppered my food before cooking, just did it again last night for our steaks, they were delicious, not tough. I don't ever put seasoning on my poached eggs, they cook in a plastic thing from Decor, but do add salt/pepper to my quiche and scrambles egg. Does it make a difference if it's ground, that's all I've ever used.
Good news for Sandy, I'm glad the tablet is helping. Enjoy the TV.
SANDRA yummy for you! I know you enjoyed it! I hope the showers cleared for you. We had freezer meals tonight, I had put some away for Pete if he wanted a quick meal already done, so it was a choice of curried sausages, or spaghetti Bol, I have made them a few weeks back. And of course we had a little sorbet, after.
SANDRA & CHERYL that is exactly why Alfie does, he sits with his front feet on the floor LOL So funny, O scar gets quite jealous when he does it, but he doesn't quite know how to sit on everyones lao at the same time, so he lets Alfie get away with it. He watches him like a hawk though LOL
We are not having thunderstorms thankfully HOLLY , but it's cloudy and drizzly most days and quite cold. I buy a few things from Aldi, I mostly just buy their peanut butter and hand wash, but when I'm there I will =19.5pxbuy other things, their steaks are very good and the long life milk cheaper, and we use a lot of that.
BJ sorry you had problems signing in, it happens to me sometimes, I think it's a server problem here, they have slow connections.
The Creami works well, the coconut milk ice cream was delicious, the mango sorbet not so tasty, but great consistency, we figure we will use mango juice in it next time, trial and error, just made a batch of ice cream with vanilla, sugar, cream and milk and 1 tablespoon of cream cheese, don't even have to whip anything, just mix with a whisk, Megan had theirs tonight, she said it was very good.
Chloe has her specialist appt tomorrow, got in quite quickly, and her own GP feels it's more likely a form of Superventricular Tachycardia, they won't have her back at work till she gets clearance from her Dr, I suspect the specialist will want to run more tests, and she might need some kind of intervention, she won't be happy if it involves a hospital.
I ordered some long sweat pants for his sister, she has lost her huge tummy, so now her pants are too loose, always something next month the tummy will be back, though it is a worry that she has lost so much weight so quickly.
Plus I ordered some wool (cotton actually ) from a place closing down they also had Tunisian crochet hooks, I have seen it done so I want to try to learn, have you seen it, kind of like knitting with just the hook, they are long like a knitting needle. They make it look easy on the video, not so sure it is that easy LOL

Morning temp at 5:30 am was 61! Quite a change. Too cool for me
Annual eye exam today. I dislike the dilation thing. I dislike having to rely on DH to drive me.
Also the gym and a haircut first.

NOW THAT I COOK CASSEROLES THAT ARE SHARED AROUND, I DO NOT ADD SALT AND PEPPER TO MY DISHES. I ALWAYS TELL THEM TO ADD WHAT THEY WANT WHEN SERVED. SO MANY HAVE DIFFERENT HEALTH ISSUES.
AS FOR EGGS, THE ONLY THING I ADD TO EGGS, POACHED, BOILED, SCRAMBLED, ETC., IS PEPPER. A BIT OF BLACK PEPPER ON EGGS WHEN I SERVE THEM.
I WISH I COULD REMEMBER THE REASON I LEARNED FROM ONLINE CHEF FOR NOT ADDING PEPPER WHILE COOKING. I AM SURE IT WAS A GOOD ONE.
I HAD MY RECERTIFICATION MEETING TODAY. THEY GO OVER YOUR INCOME TO SEE WHAT THEY SHOULD CHARGE FOR RENT THE COMING YEAR. MY RENT WILL GO UP IN NOV. BUT I WILL BE NOTIFIED THE AMT IN OCT. WHATEVER IT IS, I AM SURE I CAN HANDLE IT.
WHILE I WAS OUT, SALLY, MY LIBRARIAN, CAME AND LEFT ME 7 NEW LARGE-PRINT BOOKS. I LEFT A NOTE ON MY DOOR AND THE TOTE BAGS WITH IT SO SHE JUST SWAPPED THEM OUT. SOME LOOK PRETTY DARN GOOD.
THE BOOK I READ YESTERDAY, RITA MAE BROWN'S PUSS 'N CAHOOTS WAS SO GOOD, I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN AND FINISHED IT BEFORE BEDTIME LAST NITE. I LIKE THAT SHE INFORMS ONE ABOUT THE SUBJECTS. IN THIS ONE IT WAS SADDLEBRED HORSES AND THE HORSE SHOWS. VERY INFORMATIVE. I STILL LIKE TO LEARN NEW THINGS.
I NEVER WATCH THE SHARK WEEK SHOWS, WHICH IS THIS WEEK, BUT I NOTICE THAT A COUPLE WERE DOCUMENTARIES ABOUT THE BABY SHARKS AND ALSO THE GREAT WHITE'S GROWTH, ETC. THOUGH I HOPE NEVER TO MEET UP WITH ONE IN PERSON, I WOULD LIKE TO LEARN MORE ABOUT THAT MAGNIFICENT CREATURE. I HAVE A COUPLE PROGRAMS SET TO RECORD TOMORROW.
NICE DAY HERE TODAY. IN THE 70S RIGHT NOW BUT MAY HIT 83 OR 84. A NICE DAY TO STAY IN AND READ. OH, AND ALSO COOK SOMETHING. IT MAY BE SOMETHING QUICK LIKE LAST NITE IF I GET ENGROSSED IN ANOTHER NEW BOOK. ONE IS ABOUT MAINE AND A MURDER ON AN ISLAND. SOUNDS GOOD TO ME.
THAT'S IT LADIES. STAY SAFE. HUGS FOR ALL. QB S

Sandra, I love it when a book totally sucks me in!
we just got home, went to the diner for breakfast, the post office, and the library.
I dreamed I was working in a sewing machine store, LOL.
Janet, can you drive with sunglasses after being dilated?

Good Morning to everyone!! Tracy is up so I don't want to be on here too long. Just wanted to say Hi!! It is 60* here this morning and very cloudy. Elly is off to the groomers, so that's good. It's wonderful having Tracy here, she is getting breakfast for everyone.
Well, I think I'd better go visit with her. Have a wonderful day everyone. It's pretty gloomy here, but we'll survive. BJ.

Janet, there are other drops they can use that aren't as bad. When I went in January, I told her I couldn't see to drive home after the dilation & that's when she said, "oh, let me go get the other drops."
I love my new tv. My old one was only 6 years old. Sold it and the guy picked it up last night. I decided to cancel Netflix and save $12 a month, as I wasn't watching it enough. I'm finding some good movies on Prime Video.
Dee is coming by to groom the dogs' nails; it's way overdue.
We are getting a nice breeze. Guess it's from the hurricanes?

Holly- it’s not worth the risk. If I had an accident it could lead to suspension around here. Duh.
Devonne- my eye dr won’t use the “reversal” drops.

Afternoon y'all!
Moved mom to her new apartment this weekend and she is still alive! I was ready to throttle her several times! The drama queen was in full on mode! Thankfully I had help and they took over when I was very frustrated with her.
Alex has found a place. I went to the inspection this morning while he was at work. I do like the place. Closing is slated for the 19th of this month.
Luke is thriving at Acadia. He's looking to do an off season position somewhere. Not sure where!
Sara, my bloom where she is planted child, is doing great!
Hubby has been a great support through the closing of mom's Assisted living location. It was so convenient. But they were bought out and a couple of the staff gave me a heads up about the closing. I did 6 tours in 5 days. I'm tired. We found a place that I think is better than where she was. We had a care plan conference today so that we all start on the same page with my mom! More than I got from where she was.
The plan for where she was is to tear down the building and build Independent living apartments in it's place. The new company took over on Monday. Mom was gone on Sunday!
I am very overwhelmed right now, understandably. I will be dropping my visits to mom to once a day. I need some kind of life, hubby is worried that mom's neediness is going to kill me like it killed my sister. He says I am usually rosy cheeked but I am very pale right now! I think it's the stress, I hope it gets better soon. The first few days are going to be the hardest for mom, and me! I hope once she settles in things will get better. She told me today she wants to come live with me. That's a no go! I told her that my house is not set up for her to live there, that it will take close to $50k and a long time for it to be ready, if I go that route, and I am not going to do that to my family!
I am trying to stay on routine, for me. Still walk in the morning, and the evening. Working on getting my painful varicose veins worked on. I have done 4 treatments. 4 to go and will do those this fall! It's to hot to wear these thigh high compression hose!
Almost time for the evening walk! Later my Friends!
