I have a Turkey breast in the big crockpot, 3.6 pounds. It was the free one I had gotten at Thanksgiving from the food store. I’m looking forward to turkey sandwiches.
A nice spring day in the 70’s here. I put up a new pic on the blog of my xs project.
Otherwise, same old, same old here. Dull is good!

I decided to go outside and make some pictures before the strong winds arrive and take all the blooms away. My pink dogwood tree is doing great. Here are some blooms.
These are flowers that came back from last year. I was so surprised to see them. I will be buying more of these.
My Clematis is blooming away in the backyard, but the one at the mailbox has done nothing. Bought them at the same time. Must be bad soil at the mailbox. Probably why my sod died too!
Joni, I hope you had a happy birthday. I saw your town is in the news about the teacher homicide. Her son had a 4.5 grade average and was considered a genius. He said he had thought about killing his Mom for years. So very sad.
We are expecting bad weather in the morning, moving in from Louisiana and Mississippi. Strong gusts of wind, possible hail and tornado. Hope it misses us!

Oh Devonne, your garden is just lovely! The spring colors are beautiful. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Janet, your quilt retreat next week sounds great! I have never been to one. I hope your cold is gone by then.
The eclipse was awesome! It was pretty cloudy here, but still was able to witness it. I could not find any glasses but used Dean's welding helmet and it worked great. Anthony had a HUGE telescope and camera and got some fantastic pictures. It was so weird at totality when all was grey. My porch light came on, the birds were silent and the temp dropped 10 degrees. I could feel the temperature change and the weatherman said it was 10 degrees. I am glad we got to experience it as the next one here is in 44 years and I will not be here.
I have some broccoli roasting in the oven and it smells delicious. I made Mozzarella Chicken (an old recipe by Richard Simmons). It is easy and one of our favorites. Will add a small baked potato and dinner is done.
Still working on the Ice Cream Cone quilt and it is colorful!
Take care all.

Overcast here today. We hit the ATM, library, and MUA to pay the water bill.
My turkey came out so good! Nice and moist, falling apart. I love making it in the crockpot.

Good Morning, it is very cloudy here this morning and not a breath of air is moving! The garbage man is due most any time, but other than that, nothing to doing today. Frank is in bed with a bad cold. Told him to just stay there, nothing is going on!
It is 47* outside, a huge fly is messing around on my window!! Not liking it at all. Believe Rhonda is going to Costco today, gave her my list. Have nothing to say, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

HOLLY......ENJOY YOUR TURKEY. ITS ONE OF MY FAVORITES, THE TURKEY BREAST. I DON'T GET TO HAVE IT TOO OFTEN.
DEVONNE.......I LOVE ALL YOUR FLOWERS. SO FULL AND LOVELY COLORS. ENJOY THEM. YOU GET SPRING MUCH SOONER THAT WE DO.
ANOTHER GRAY DAY HERE WITH INTERMITTENT RAIN. THIS WILL BE HAPPENING FOR ANOTHER 2 DAYS.
NOTHING EXCITING FOR ME. I BAKED SOME PORK CHOPS AND CHICKEN BREAST AND WILL DECIDE HOW TO SERVE IT LATER.
BE SAFE MY FRIENDS. HUGS, QB S

The bad storms stayed south of me and all I got was rain and wind. All my flowers survived. It's a rainy day here in Georgia.
Sandra, can't believe you have snow in the middle of April! Looks pretty, but so cold!
Greg told me O. J. Simpson died at age 76. I wasn't a fan and don't know what happened to him.
I organized my pots and pans and will be taking some really nice pots and skillets to Salvation Army instead of Goodwill. I use my Instant Pot, crock pot and air fryer, so all these big pans are just taking up space.
I love posting pictures from Post Images. I wish we could post more than one at a time. Thanks, Sandra, for all your help...as always! I love posting pictures!
I got all my appliances put in the same location under the cabinets. Nothing is on my counter tops now except the air fryer and Keurig coffee maker. Looks so much cleaner and neater. Now I'm resting.

DEVONNE.....THE PICTURE I POSTED WAS NOT OUR LATEST STORM, THOUGH WE DID GET 10 INCHES AND HIGH WINDS AND POWER OUTAGES ON APRIL 4TH. I JUST CLICKED ON ANY PIC IN ONE OF MY ALBUMS TO DO THE INSTRUCTIONS BIT.
ITS RAINING A LOT TODAY. ITS FINE WITH ME AND MOTHER NATURE. WE NEED IT FOR OUR WATER TABLE AND WELLS SINCE WE GOT SUCH LITTLE SNOW THRU THE WINTER THIS SEASON. I PLAN TO STAY INDOORS ANYWAY. LOL.
MY PLANS WILL BE TO START ONE OF MY NEW BOOKS TODAY AND MAKE A SMALLER POT OF CHICKEN RICE SOUP. YES, I THINK I WILL ONLY MAKE HALF THE AMOUNT. I CAN SHARE WITH MAYBE ONE OTHER BUT MOST WILL BE FOR ME FOR LUNCHES. I LOVE CHICKEN RICE SOUP.
I WISH YOU ALL A GOOD DAY, ESPECIALLY IN THE SOUTH WHERE WEATHER IS DOING LOTS OF DAMAGE. HUGS FOR ALL, QB S

Of course my do in the last post should have been due. We had a big thunderstorm at 4 a.m. lots of booming. And it’s drizzley today. No plans to go anywhere today.
