1 pound breakfast sausage, browned and drained
6 eggs
2 cups milk or half and half
6-8 slices bread
1 tsp dry mustard
1 tsp salt, optional
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Butter bread slices and press butter side down in 9x13 dish. Sprinkle sausage over bread. Sprinkle cheese over sausage. Mix together eggs, mustard, milk and salt. Pour over the bread slices. Refrigerate 8 hours or overnight. Bake uncovered at 350 for 40-45 minutes.
we really liked it. The recipe could easily be halved.
