Re: 28 SUNDAY 28 DEC 2025 ~ SAT JAN 3 2026

It’s that week of the year that I have to keep checking my phone to see which day it is! I also have a Walmart order coming, but not a big one.

We had breakfast tacos for brunch when Ralph got home from having labs drawn. Hidden Valley has a spicy ranch that has a nice kick to it that we use on the tacos, with scrambled eggs, bacon and cheese.

It’s clear, cold and windy, high today 31. Thanks for all the birthday wishes for Heather!

I don’t keep a journal…never had.  Personally don’t see the need?
Linda - yes.  The manual was right where I thought but behind 3 heavier totes. DH got it.  It’s now with the machine in the carry case….where it should have been.  My plan is to check out that machine Thursday as I will be busy tomorrow doing “stuff”.
The winds here last night were terrible, but didn’t affect the power lines.
Anyone here have plans for NYs eve.  We are going for an early dinner.  DH rarely stays up.  I usually do.  We don’t watch the NYs programs.  I put it on In time to watch the ball come down.

Re: 28 SUNDAY 28 DEC 2025 ~ SAT JAN 3 2026

Aaron, Katie and the kids are coming over tomorrow night for our New Year's Eve "party".  Also Gabriel's girlfriend is allowed to come with them this year, so he is happy about that.  We don't do any sort of alcohol and toast the new year with Welch's beverages.  They look like champagne and I have fancy glasses that we all use.  Looks like we are drinking alcohol, but we are not.  Dean and I do not drink alcohol.
We play cards, board games and eat.  I make a lot of snack foods and usually put in a pork roast with sauerkraut. None of the others eat it, just Dean and I.  Oops, sometimes Katie will have a little of it.  So, that is our big plans.

It sprinkled snow all day and we have gotten about 2 inches of fluffy snow on the ground.   I had to go to the grocery store and it was packed! I was glad to get out of the store and get home.

With all of the wind we had the other night, Lake Erie's western shore blew out into the lake.  It was down to the bare rocks, down about 12 feet.  The weatherman said it was a seiche, (pronounced saysh) and Buffalo on the Eastern shore was up by 12 feet!.  We could see the docks and wharf all bare. Weather is certainly weird.

Linda, I am opposite of you in that I am glad the holidays will be over.  Seems like all I do is shop for groceries and cook big meals since Thanksgiving.  After New Year's Day, it will be restful for a while.
