Sandra, congrats on your weight loss!
Our treadmill was delivered and set up, Ralph is studying the manual.
Then we went to Aldi, I needed several things. They had a kit to make a cookie/candy haunted house, so I got it for Eddie and Jules. They tell me they are never too old for fun things like that. When we got home and I opened the door, a little lizard ran in! It was about 6 inches long. Ralph got a plastic container and a piece of cardboard, and released him back into the wild. It startled me, at first I thought it was a mouse.
Another chilly day, only 60. There is a coastal storm coming Sunday and Monday.

It was a little chilly sitting outside this morning with my coffee...61 degrees and a slight breeze. I love wearing sweaters and don't get to do it often, but the time is coming.
I've been "eyeballing" a tilting puzzle table for months and decided to buy it. My first puzzle is a 1,000 pc. geometric dog puzzle, which will keep me busy for awhile. I plan to keep it in the living room. It has rollers so will be easy to move as needed. Both will be here later today.
Today I'll finish trimming the bushes and get the grass out of the rose bed that I have put off for months. I'm replacing the two hybrid tea roses with knockout roses, but not until next Spring. Once this is finished, I only like the sewing room to clean up. No hurry to do that, lol.

I finished going thru all the scraps, and have them in small totes by color. Tomorrow I can start sewing!
Dinner was leftovers from our lunch out the other day.
All the forecasts say the nor’easter could be a bad one, glad we went to Aldi today!

Hi everyone
Sorry been a bit crazy here, lots happening. And I had sewing all day Friday and will again tomorrow (Sunday)
I have been to training, and also got some things sorted here, also went to visit with my brother. It has been bothering me all week, I haven't been sleeping well, don't really think it's related, but I know he's on my mind. I'm not sad about it all (and that's a sad admission ) I =19.5pxjust need to make sure he knows I'm still here if he wants me.
He's such an oddball, but he is my brother, and I had to message both him and his wife - she responded of course not him, but I went today anyway, not really sure how much time he has, but I suspect it's a few months, he wants to make it to his 75th birthday (Jan 16) and I hope he does, but they might find out more in the coming week, he had more scans on Friday searching for info.
I am glad you are all doing so well on the weight loss, I wish I could stick to not eating snacks, but I seem to be binge eating lately. I need to stop, and tomorrow I WILL make another attempt to stay away from junk LOL
I had a quick dinner, bought some cooked chicken and salads on my way home from his place, so I didn't have to cook, it's been hot again today, has been quite hot the last few days. And will be again tomorrow.
I made my bread, and cooked it tonight, but I was still too hot to have at dinner, so it's cooling on the bench. I didn't want to fridge it overnight before baking, and I had made the dough by just after lunch,
DEVONNE I use bread flour, it has a high protein I think?? If you get onto some youtubes you can follow what others do. Just don't use sugar in the bread, just a little salt, mine is a teaspoon of salt to 3 cups flour and about 250mls of water, I am generous with the water, I can always add a little flour if needed. The millilitres of water can be weighed as 250grams. I have small scales that will do both lbs and grams, so that might help you. I just use measuring cups, I am pretty slack about measurements, it's pretty forgiving, it's just making sure your started is active enough, I don't even weigh/measure it, I add water to the salt, mix in the rest and wait LOL
There is a facebook site youkneadsourdough they have a lot of info, and some is good other - not so much, it's trial and error for everyone I think.
I am tired tonight, just packed up my sewing stuff, I took my quilt to Julie to do, and she returned one to me as well. So I need to make binding, maybe will do that tomorrow, then I can sew the binding on when I get home.
The Mr is playing bowls again tomorrow, he won today, then next weekend it's the same, both Sat and Sunday he''ll play, I might find a movie to watch.
I'm heading to bed with my book LOL

LOST IN THE TRANSLATION.......
1. IN A PARIS HOTEL ELEVATOR: PLEASE LEAVE YOUR VALUES AT THE FRONT DESK.
2. IN A HOTEL IN ATHENS: VISITORS ARE EXPECTED TO COMPLAIN AT THE OFFICE BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 8 AND 11 A.M. DAILY.
LOVELY HERE AND SUNNY IN THE 60S THIS AFTERNOON. THE STORM MAY HIT US SUNDAY NITE.
TRISH......ITS GOOD THAT YOU WENT TO SEE YOUR BROTHER. BEST TO HAVE THINGS SETTLED AND IN GOOD ORDER DURING THIS TIME. YOU'LL BOTH FEEL BETTER FOR IT. HUGS.
DEVONNE......ENJOY YOUR NEW PUZZLE TABLE. I HOPE IT WORKS OUT WELL FOR YOU SO YOU CAN HAVE FUN PUTTING THEM TOGETHER.
HOLLY.......GOOD FOR YOU WITH A NEW TREADMILL. I HOPE IT GETS SOME GOOD USE AND YOU ENJOY THE BENEFITS.
TEMPS HERE SHOULD BE IN THE 60S THIS AFTERNOON AND 40S AT NITE AGAIN. LOVELY AND SUNNY AND BRITE. WE EXPECT THAT STORM TO ARRIVE HERE SOMETIME LATE SUNDAY NITE. THAT'S GOOD. MY SON IS FLYING HOME FROM MEXICO SOMETIME TODAY. IT'LL GIVE THEM TIME TO SETTLE IN, SHOP AND WHATEVER BEFORE THE STORM HITS.
I AM STILL INTO LEFTOVERS. THEY ARE VERY TASTY SO NO PROBLEM FOR ME. FOR LUNCH IT WILL BE A NICE SALAD TO BREAK THE MONOTONY OF THESE LEFTOVERS.
I AM STILL ENJOYING THE RODEOS ON THE COWBOY CHANNEL. LOVE THOSE HORSES. SMART, TOO.
JUST A FEW CHORES FOR ME TODAY. NOTHING STRENUOUS. I HAD HOPED TO SEW BUT WILL HAVE TO SWAP CHAIRS I THINK. I SUPER GLUED MY SEWING CHAIR LEG BUT IT DOES NOT SEEM TOO STURDY TO ME TODAY. I THINK A SWITCH IS NEEDED. THEN MY SON HAS TO GET ON THE BALL AND FIND ME A COUPLE WOODEN DINING CHAIRS. I DISLIKE HAVING TO ORDER THEM ONLINE BECAUSE WE PROBABLY HAVE TO PUT THEM TOGETHER AND THAT'S ALWAYS A PAIN. I HOPE HE CAN FIND SOME AT SALVATION ARMY OR GOODWILL SHOPS.
THAT'S MY DAY IN A NUTSHELL. HUGS LADIES. QB S

Good Morning to everyone!! It is really raining here right now, doesn't look too promising for the rest of the day. I really don't have much to say right now, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

I did my morning routine, did my PT, started the addition of 5 minutes, which was .8 mile, on the treadmill. Had breakfast at the computer. Then headed to the sewing room. I got the 10 blue squares done and sewed together. I’ll put a pic up on my blog when I go into the family room. It did not even make a dent in the tote of blue scraps!
We had the last of the leftovers for lunch, have to figure out dinner. I’m thinking grilled cheese sandwiches.
Now I’m going to sit with my feet up and read my book.

Trish, I'm glad you got to visit with your brother. Hopefully, he will make it to his 75th birthday. I also hope you can sleep better now.
Holly, congrats on the new dryer and the new treadmill. I've never seen Speed Queen dryers for sale in my area. I need a new one too...maybe after Christmas. We had a really nice treadmill from Sears and I used it to hang clothes on, lol. We sold it. That was in the 80's.
I have hired someone to remove these ligustrum bushes. I realized this was too much work for me. As much as I love the yellow color, I didn't realize they would get so tall when I planted them. I have other plans for next Spring which I will like better with little maintenance. I just posted for help today and he's on the way shortly.
It's early happy birthday at my house. I have the tilting puzzle table to put together, I got a new stand mixer (off brand, Cheflee, much cheaper than my Kitchen Aid which I gave to Emily 10 years ago..what was I thinking? but I wasn't using it. Doubt she will either, lol. Billy paid $130 for it, now the same one is $300!) I like this off brand and think it's going to work just fine, much smaller and fits on the counter top just perfect. I also got some new hearing aids (third set...hoping these work) and some new tote bags to use at Aldi, a new puzzle and dog food for Gracie. Oh, and I love, love my new Euro Cuisine percolator. The best coffee I've had in a long time and it stays hotter than my Keurig. Will use up my Keurig cups and store it. Saved money on Amazon Prime days! No more spending!
Theresa, that was great news about your MIL. She was so lucky to recover so well. Sorry about Luke and his job with no backpay.

Forgot to say, Trish, I’m glad you are connecting with your brother.
Pic is up on my blog of the blue strip. I did 4 green squares after dinner, but I have to iron some of the strips.
Devonne, I have the big bowl lift kitchenaid, and also a little hand mixer. Both have their uses. I also did some damage on Prime Day.
