Re: ODT SUNDAY 13 SEPT ~ SAT 19 SEPT

Morning to you all -- when you get up LOL I'm almost heading to bed on Sunday night!!

HOLLY continuing to send good thoughts your way, hang in there ((((hugs))))

SANDRA hope Matt gets everything for you - enjoy your visit with him, it's been coolish here today too, morning and evening, but the smoke has been really bad last 2 afternoons, lots of back burning preparing for summer - yuk!

DEVONNE Chal has been living with Gary and hopefully will find a home soon, he has a big house, but it's been difficult for him with everyone there, he is definitely a creature of habit, and likes things in their place, it's been a messy house for a while. She will have all the rooms cleaned when she leaves. I hope Hannah continues, but she sure does change her mind a lot, you're right, best to keep out of it.

I spent time today  putting the quilt together, needs borders ( and a good press LOL )  but that will wait, I can't decide. I have a final border, but I think it needs framing with a small one first.

Tomorrow will be doing the floors - I still do on my hands and knees JANET not every week, but at least once a month, this might help

STRINGS our weather is that time of year when it can be really hot OR cold. Always =19.5pxinteresting choosing what to wear LOL

Supposed to be a sunny day tomorrow, and it will be a week of "lasts" for Dean, they saw his other grandparents on Saturday, she has no clue about those boys, she made date scones, Dean won't eat any type cake/dessert with fruit in it, has never done since he could choose LOL Megan said it was a very uncomfortable visit, and she was glad to be home after it.

Re: ODT SUNDAY 13 SEPT ~ SAT 19 SEPT

IT'S TRUE.......
1.  THEY SAY WE LEARN FROM OUR MISTAKES, THAT'S WHY I'M MAKING AS MANY AS POSSIBLE.....I'LL BE A GENIUS SOON.
2.  I WAS JUST MINDING MY OWN BUSINESS AND THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN 1976 WAS OVER 50 YEARS AGO.

CLOUDY OUT TODAY BUT NO RAIN PROMISED.  TEMPS WILL BE LOWER.  NITES ARE ALREADY IN THE 4OS AND STILL I HAVE MY AIR RUNNING.  LIKE I SAID, MY APT GATHERS ALL THE HEAT.

HOLLY.......PRAYERS AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS CONTINUE FOR YOU.  I HOPE YOU ARE IMPROVING AND WILL BE HOME SOON.

CHERYL.....HOW IS DEAN DOING LATELY?

DEVONNE.......YOUR GRDAU WILL DO WHAT SHE WANTS TO DO.  ALWAYS HAS.  ITS BEST TO KEEP OUT OF HER DECISIONS.  SHE WON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE ELSE ANYWAY.  HUGS.

TRISH......I USUALLY LOVE MORE COLORFUL QUILTS BUT THAT ONE IS STRIKING.   GOOD JOB.

MY SON SHOPPED AND COULD NOT GET ANY POTATO STICKS.  AND 2 OTHER ITEMS HE WAS LUCKY TO GET THE LAST OFF THE SHELF.  WHERE THE FOOD WENT AND SO FAST, HE KNOWS NOT.  AND HE WAS THE LAST ONE IN LINE TO GET THRU THE BANK'S DRIVE-THRU WINDOW.  PHEW.   HE CASHES A CHECK FOR ME ONCE A MONTH.  I LIKE TO HAVE CASH ON HAND.
HE CAUGHT A COLD SO I WORE A MASK WHEN HE ARRIVED.  HE HAD 2 BOWLS OF THE CHICKEN RICE SOUP.  TOOK SOME HOME TOO, ALONG WITH A COUPLE ITALIAN SANDWICHES (SUBS).  I HOPE THE SOUP HELPS HIM AND WIFE D BOTH.   HE CAUGHT HIS COLD FROM HER.
TODAY IS MY DAY OF REST BUT WILL BAG AND FREEZE THE COUPLE OF MEATS HE BROUGHT ME AND TAKE OUT THE TRASH.   THAT'S ALL THE WORK I NEED TO DO TODAY.
FEELING LESS ENERGETIC THESE DAYS.  I GUESS I MAY BE READY FOR A PACE MAKER AFTER ALL.  WE SHALL SEE WHAT MY DARLING DR ADAM HAS TO SAY ABOUT THAT TOMORROW.
I HOPE I HAVE TIME TO GET MY SHINGLES AND RSV SHOTS BEFORE I GET ANYTHING DONE.
LOVE READING THE JAN KARON SERIES.
STAY SAFE AND ENJOY YOUR SUNDAY.  HUGS, QB S

Re: ODT SUNDAY 13 SEPT ~ SAT 19 SEPT

Cool and breezy here this morning.  Curtains are moving, so is the smoke outside.  I can't see it but smell it almost always when the doors are open.  Hard to deal with it when you're allergic.

Bill & Mary Leigh are in the air, over Nebraska on their way to landing in Salt Lake City.  As much as I complain about  new-fangles, I love being able to check their flight and even see where at they are.    They will not leave the state of Utah, planning to visit several of the National Parks there,  this week.  When she leaves I always get this heart pang, but am very careful to stay upbeat and encouraging.  Of course, I want them to be able to travel as long as they can.

While I haven't posted much, I've had Holly on my mind and am glad it's over and she's recovering, nicely.  And, I know Ralph will take the best care of her...

As will Cheryl for Dean, who'll be home soon, if he's not already.  Glad  you're enjoying the quilt.

Trish, I agree with QB. Your quilt it stunning.  Thanks for the picture.  This will be a poignant week for you and yours with all the "lasts" for Dean.  With John, you still had Dean's coming up but now it's truly the last time-s.  What comes next for him and when?  I assume he'll have some down time for a bit.   The 'push-pull' of emotions can feel a bit overwhelming.  But, in the end, we wouldn't trade them...

Re: ODT SUNDAY 13 SEPT ~ SAT 19 SEPT

Hope everyone is having a great Sunday!

I washed all my pants and they are ready to pack. Most of them are caprices, but caprices for me at 5' 1" are like pants, lol. All I need to pack is my jewelry and toiletries. Greg is coming to pick me up Friday at 2:00, we will go get Carter from school at 3:30 and be on the way after he goes by the house to see his cats, lol. I need to get my passport. Will do that now before I forget it.

I cleaned out my fridge yesterday and threw away a bunch of stuff. I bought too much yogurt, but the expiration date is in October so will be good when I get back.

Trish, good job! The last few years I have started liking 2 color quilts. I ordered one from Amazon and it's definitely not two colors, but Fall colors. I really like it.

Sandra, how nice of Matt to shop for you with a cold and not feeling up to par. My Walmart has been out of a lot of items lately for delivery, but when I go in the store, it's available. I know they pull items from the store shelves, so what is up with that?
