Holly…Patchwork Plus is in Virginia, about 2 hrs north of of me. We generally go there every time we ride the scenic railroad. So I’ve been there several times. We ride the train, go to the Hobby Store and the quikt shop. This next time we plan to go to the Shakespeare theatre for a show. It’s a nice weekend. We get a suite in a very convenient historic hotel and have some of the best meals we’ve had since leaving NY. And the best part, only 2 hrs away!

We had a terrific storm last night. Several tornadoes near here and one in the town Danny & Pam live in. They were all over our area and in IL and MI. We spent a good hour in our basement. We're dopes when in comes to this and ML always calls us with the lastest and they along with Bill's close family were in their basement. Howard can be resistant but he agreed last evening. Just because your tired of the hype and all around tornado reporting, each storm is a potentially big one and like with hurricanes, you should do the most you can to be safe. I feel our poured cement basement is a blessing.
Devonne, that was a lot to take in. Glad Greg could go with you and listen, too. I've known several who have gotten aids at Costco and they seem to be satisfied. Not Howard as we're not members, but he's fairly savvy about them and what he needs and likes the ones (?) he got not too long ago. What a neat set up your new table allows. ![]()
Oh, Trish, what a pain.
To have to come back with the car and hire an Uber. Warwick really does need you to handle all these issues! So sorry about Chal and the mess he's left her with. She and her sisters are blessed to have you and Megan in their lives.
Had a long call from cousin-in-law Judy in South Carolina this morning, just as I was getting us a late breakfast. She's a joy and the sister I never had. She's a character and enjoys sending me pics of her early blooming spring flower when we're still in the throes of winter up here. I forgive her...![]()
Wishing you all a good day. Hope Dean is doing okay. Need to go and make the chicken salad I never got made due to another long phone call, yesterday...

Good day all.
Well, I tried to post this on here yesterday and kept getting a server error message. So I saved it and will post it now and will add to it....Janet, I feel the same way about dentists! I know it is better for me to get my check ups but I hate going. I try to do every 6 months too but the last time I was there, they could not schedule me for a cleaning for 10 months! His office uses that "Mr Sucky" thing too! lol. The office is extremely clean, but still......
Sandra, did you ever get your free jigsaw from Bits and Pieces? My order came very quickly this time.
We had some very wicked lightening and thunder and down pour of rain night before last. The weather man said we received 2 inches of rain in just a couple of hours. The thunder was rolling and booming for hours. The grass and flowers did need it, so all is good. No damage done in my area. Where Aaron lives in Akron, they were without power for a few hours.
Our AC has been on too, due to the extremely high humidity. I don't usually turn it on this early, but it was 90 degrees with a 98 degree heat index. Way too hot for me.
Back to today's note:
Dean just got back from his oncologist appointment and it was good news! His last bone marrow biopsy showed complete remission after only one chemo treatment (well 7 days of IV and shots and 14 of pills in one session) He is just finishing his second round now. We go back up to Cleveland on Wednesday to meet again with the transplant team as they have found a 100% donor match for him. Now to schedule that transplant.
Judy, I made chicken salad today too! Too hot to cook much, and Dean cannot eat lettuce/greens salads but he can have macaroni, potato, tuna and chicken salad and we have been eating them.

Wonderful news about Dean.
Temps here the past 3 days have reached 102*!
As I told you, 3 days after dentist and DH is not feeling well. I’m still ok.
We too have had severe storm warnings which pooped out until last night. The winds were clocked in some areas as high as 60 mph. Thunder for hours but hardly any rain. BUT, you. At have seen on the new that a large church tent was ripped apart, killing one (at least) and many injured. It was in Moneta, VA about 15-20 mins from us.
They have a large beautiful church. We can’t understand why with all the warnings, they felt they needed to have a service outside (100*- high wind storm advisory) under a tent?

Janet, real good question. As for Patchwork Plus, that’s great that you get to go there. It looks huge!
Morgan is slowing declining, as per the hospice nurse via John.
I finished Ophelia the shark, pix on my blog. A pox on the person that invented minkee fabric.
Another scorcher today.

Sandra- I’ve used Puzzle Warehouse several times with no issues.
