Can't believe it's the first day of Autumn here LOL and it's been a bit rainy, still warm and humid though. At least the cooler days will get here sooner, not as soon as I'd like though.
I am keeping the Kendalls in my prayers, no news from Tracy, but I know the family are looking after both BJ & Frank.
SANDRA having a plan and getting some sleep in good time is a bonus, I have to get moving on dating fabric, I just have too much, but am also worried that as soon as I give it away I will want it, it's a conundrum for sure, I did clear out its of patterns and also rulers I didn't need.
HOLLY well done, it must feel great to have all that done and in oder, I have added to my storing problems with lots of jigsaw puzzles, one of our Friday girls had to clear her elderly aunts place and she had 100s of puzzles, she brought 4 large bags for us to divide up, Juie has half and me the other, It will keep me going for a while, only problem is they smell a bit, old cardboard being stored for so long, I plan on unpacking a few at a time and "airing" them out LOL
CHERYL my fingers are crossed, I had another blood test yesterday, so hoping I get better news from my Dr the he gets the results, possibly by Tuesday, but he's not in our surgery till Wed. If drinking more gets me the better test result I'll let you know, it's hard drinking at least 2 litres a day, some days I need to force it down LOL
STRINGS keeping good thought for you all too, you have so much to deal with right now
Our neighbours across the road had their houses auction on Sat, they didn't get what they wanted so it's no sale for now, he wanted $2 million, I thought that $1.8 would be the absolute maximum he could get, it's a nice house, but it's old and not the modern open plan that is liked now. Very solid, full brick both internal and external, and lots of steel in the structure, but that isn't so important these days.
I had sewing again today, and got lots more handwork done, we also got lots of talking done, we could solve the worlds problems LOL The Mr also booked a nights stay for a bowling trip in 2 weeks, he chose, he booked, not what I would have chosen, but he's on his own, so I don't care.
Julie had found a cruise for us in March next year, but on checking dates she realised that she should have classes the whole weekend we'd be away and would need to cancel them all, so she's thinking about it, it doesn't bother me if we don't go, I told her if she finds something similar we can do that instead She has lots of travel booked in the year or so ahead, so it was just to be a short break.

SIGNS OF THE TIMES......
1. AT A NUMBER OF MILITARY BASES: RESTRICTED TO UNAUTHORIZED PERSONNEL.
2. ON A DISPLAY OF "I LOVE YOU ONLY" VALENTINE CARDS: NOW AVAILABLE IN MULTI-PACKS.
3. IN A NUMBER OF PARKING AREAS: VIOLATORS WILL BE ENFORCED AND TRESPASSERS WILL BE VIOLATED.
HAPPY FIRST DAY OF MARCH EVERYONE.
CORRECTION: CHERYL AND DEAN CELEBRATE THEIR ANNIVERSARY ON THE THIRTEETH AS DOES PATTY, HER BIRTHDAY. ANYWAY, THAT'S WHAT I HAVE ON 2 CALENDARS. IF I AM WRONG, PLEASE CORRECT ME.
ITS MY DAY OF REST, BEING SUNDAY. I LOVE IT BUT SOMETIMES I GET A BIT ANTSY. YESTERDAY I DID SORTING FOR THINGS WHERE I COULD SIT AND DO IT. LIKE RE-SORTING THINGS IN MY DRESSER DRAWERS AND RE-SORTING MY FQ'S, OF WHICH I DID NOT GIVE AWAY ANY. I HAVE A 'THING' ABOUT FQS. I HATE GETTING RID OF ANY.
I HAVE SO MANY THINGS I WANT TO ACCOMPLISH BUT NO TIME TO DO IT ALL. I STILL HAVE A FEW WHs IN THE WORKS THAT NEED FINISHING. AND THE IDEAS WITH MY SNOOPY SKETCHES. WHERE OR WHERE WILL I FIND THE TIME. I GUESS I WILL PLAY IT BY EAR. ITS A TOSS-UP WHETHER TO DO A CIRCLE TABLE TOPPER OR A BIB APRON FIRST. DECISIONS, DECISIONS.
WELL, I HAVE TO GET GOING ON DOING MY LAPS. I STEPPED ON THE SCALE AND GAINED A LB. THOSE DARN EVENING SNACKS. I JUST CAN'T STOP MUNCHING.
STAY SAFE AND WARM OR COOL AS THE CASE MAY BE. HUGS, QB S ![]()

Tracy sent a message that she has had many sleepless nights, and hospice is slow to respond. BJ’s doc has ordered liquid morphine to keep her comfortable. Sounds like it won’t be long for our dear BJ.
We had lunch at Olive Garden with F and C, then I dropped off two bags of supplies for the library’s craft swap. Some panels that I’ll never do anything with.
I spent time this morning in the sewing room. I shortened the sleeves of a cardigan, which I’ve wanted to do for a year and finally did. Did prep work on some bowl cozies.
The snow is melting away! There are large areas of ground showing. We have suet hangers in front and in back. The woodpeckers go to town on them! Tiny ones and huge ones.

Sandra, you are correct; my anniversary is March 13. This year it will be 50 years for us.
Dean is finally feeling somewhat better. He is eating small portions of soft foods, but his stomach is still very sore and cramping. He has lost 12 pounds, which he cannot afford to do. He is already too thin and has been all his life. Today he felt like sitting in the living room and watching some TV, so that is a good sign that this virus is finally leaving his body.
Holly, thanks for the news on BJ. Keeping her and the family in our prayers. How strange that Hospice is slow to respond. Here in Ohio, we have dealt with them three times and all times have been a quick response and wonderful care. I cannot say enough good about them.
It was 60 degrees yesterday and just beautiful. Today it is still very bright and pretty, but much colder at only 32 degrees. I will still take it as it is so sunny!
I went out to the grocery store and Dollar Tree just to look around. I needed a new water bowl for the birds/squirrels as the winter took a toll on the one that I had and it cracked. Holly, I have two suet feeders in my yard and have at least three woodpeckers that visit regularly. Two are smaller ladder back ones and the third is larger with a bright red head and chest. Not sure what it is yet. I have many birds that come and at least 10 squirrels, including three all black ones, but the three feral cats hanging around now like to "bird watch" lol, so the critters have to be careful. The feral cats come in the morning to be fed and then usually in the afternoon since the sun hits our front porch and they like to lay there.
Sandra, don't let that little weight gain bother you. Life is too short to dwell on weight. Just feel well and go with that. That is my motto these days.
Trish, I too, am drinking 2 liters (well 64 ounces in US weight) per my doctors. Some days I do choke it down. Hopefully it will be easier when it gets warmer and I am able to walk. Still have a difficult time with putting weight on the broken toes. I go back in April for a recheck and I hope my creatine levels have come down.

Today is a no nothing day for me. I plan on cooking chicken tenderloins in the air fryer for dinner to make a spinach wrap.
I am 1 lb. away from weighing what I weighed at Christmas. It's taken me over two months now to lose the Christmas goodies, lol. ![]()
Gary and family are in Houston for the tournament. It's almost a 13 hour drive. They flew the last time, but drove this time. They have done a lot of sight seeing. Normally their vacations are at Disney or Universal.
Greg said he slept 13 hours Friday night. When he woke up, it was 11:30. The long trip to Japan wore him out. He's always an early riser.
Cheryl, glad to read Dean is feeling better. He must have had an awful virus.

We stopped putting out suet as it attracts the bears. It did in NY too but I did it anyway. They are more aggressive here and no scare off as easily.
The woodpeckers are here. They come to my feeders. We bring in the feeders before sundown to keep the unwanted critters away. It’s rather a nuisance but it’s that or no feeders.
I haven't accomplished much today as I've been watching th latest developments on the news.

Cheryl, I agree with you about hospice. My friend Sam had them and they were fantastic. I don’t know what’s wrong with the agency BJ has.
Janet, in WA they were told not to put out feeders because of the bears also. Luckily that’s not an issue we have in my area.

SANDRA THANK YOU, I Have changed it in my listing. no idea how I missed that one sorry CHERYL
That's what happens when I can't read my own notes I guess LOL I do so appreciate your messages when it's someone's birthday and anniversary. ((((hugs))))
CHERYL so glad Dean is starting to feel better. it does take some getting down that water, and it's summer here, but I do go to training so I miss out on too much water before I go. I'd slosh everywhere otherwise LOL
HOLLY thanks for the info, I am sorry it's taking so long for hospice, maybe they feel that she has care at home?? Diane had home hospice, but she only used them when she had to - she didn't get to a hospice at the end, just the hospital hospice care for a couple days.
JANET I can't deal with bear feeders LOL I have enough trouble with snakes here. I've had a few this season, they are getting cheekier as well, 2 in my back yard recently, we are told to leave them and they'll slide on through, as long as they don't slide on through under my house !!!
DEVONNE that is a long sleep for him, it's not a very long flight though luckily and it's good he got home before the flights have stopped over Doha etc, I also have gone back to my earlier weight, it took a while and I'd like to go lower, but I have held this now for well over 2 months and no gain, so I'm happy, and I can notice with my clothes, they were a bit too tight around the tummy before, not now !
I had yoga today, and I also got some cleaning done, it's humid still tonight and we've had more rain. Seems like it's every day (or night ) lately. Annoying LOL it keeps it really humid.
I have training in the morning, and then a quiet day, we had a roast dinner tonight with all the veg, and tomorrow I'm hoping there is enough of leftovers in the fridge
I booked a cruise with Julie & Alan today but it's not till next year, and just - again - to Tasmania, it's more about the short break, this time on Princess, looks like more our style of ship, and we got the full upgraded package in a mini suite, it was only another $400 to do that and gives us all the speciality dining options free. Plus some other perks, reserved seating in the theatre and something about photos and onboard credit. The biggest bonus is the included speciality dining and the room is much bigger.

When we first moved here we encountered a female bear and her cubs at the feeder. I rushed out shouting like I used to in NY. She didn’t budge. Then I banged on the garbage can and she moved towards me and I ran into the house. End of story!
I know someone who goes into her yard armed.

ACCIDENTAL BLOOPERS......
1. IN AN ATTEMPT TO KILL A FLY, I DROVE INTO A TELEPHONE POLE.
2. I HAD BEEN LEARNING TO DRIVE WITH POWER STEERING. I TURNED THE WHEEL TO WHAT I THOUGHT WAS ENOUGH AND FOUND MYSELF IN A DIFFERENT DIRECTION GOING THE OPPOSITE WAY.
ITS ONLY LOW 20S TODAY BUT SUNNY. NO WIND AT ALL WHEN I TOOK OUT MY TRASH SO ITS AN OKAY DAY FOR ME.
ITS JUST GONE NOON AND I HAVE BEEN BUSY. SLEPT ONLY 6 HRS BUT FEELING GOOD. TOOK OUT MY TRASH, WORKED FOR AN HOUR ON THE NEW JIGSAW PUZZLE, PINNED THE WH 'OSCAR' SO HE'S READY FOR QUILTING, DID MY LAPS AND STARTED MY LAUNDRY.
TODAY I START MY MONTHLY CHORES OF CLEANING THE FRIDGE AND SCRUBBING MY FLOORS. I HAVE A WHOLE WEEK TO COVER THOSE CHORES. TODAY ITS JUST AN OUTSIDE WIPEDOWN OF THE FRIDGE. I ALSO HAVE TO DO MY WEEKLY CHORES WHICH IS CLEANING MY SMALL APPLIANCES AND STOVE. NOT VERY HARD SINCE I DID A GOOD CLEANING LAST WEEK. I FIND MY CHORES ARE NOT AS BAD THIS GO-ROUND.
ORDERED MY 2-STEP STOOL FROM TARGET ALONG WITH A MANUAL CAN OPENER TO HAVE HANDY IN A PINCH AND SOME TRIPLE-A BATTERIES. THEY SHOULD BE HERE THIS WEEK. I AM EAGER TO TRY THAT STOOL IN MY KITCHEN WHEN I'M CLEANING. WITH A WIDER SEAT I CAN SIT ON IT AND REST, TOO. OH, AND ALSO A ROLL OF WHITE SILK RIBBON WHICH I CAN USE AS TIES FOR THE PROPOSED APRONS IN MY FUTURE.
OH, I GUESS I SHOULD ADMIT TO A BIG MISTAKE YESTERDAY. I WAS SO BUSY DOING SOMETHING ELSE, I FORGOT MY CHICKEN BREAST BAKING IN THE TOASTER OVEN. REALIZED WHEN I WENT IN THE KITCHEN FOR SOMETHING AND SAW THRU THE GLASS DOOR THAT IT WAS A BIT WELL-COOKED. I HAD TO EAT IT RIGHT AWAY BECAUSE I KNEW THAT LATER IT WOULD BE TOUGH AS SHOE LEATHER. IT WAS GOOD, THO. I COULDN'T HANDLE THE OUTER PORTIONS THAT COOKED A LITTLE TOO WELL.
TODAY I'LL HAVE A HAM SANDWICH AND A PICKLE FOR BRUNCH AND FOR SUPPER EITHER PORK CHOPS N RICE CASSEROLE, WHICH TAKES ALMOST AN HR AND A HALF, OR A QUICKER MEAL OF GARLIC TATERS AND CARROTS WITH BAKED CHOPS WHICH WILL TAKE AROUND A HALF HOUR. DEPENDS ON HOW I FEEL LATER.
OUR NAN HERE IS BACK FROM THE HOSPITAL AS OF YESTERDAY. SHE WAS TAKEN A FEW DAYS AGO. HAD ANOTHER INFECTION IN HER BACK. THEY WANTED TO BE SURE THEY SQUELCHED IT THIS TIME. SHE'S WEAK BUT DOING OK. PRAYERS WOULD COME IN HANDY THAT SHE STAY THAT WAY IF YOU DON'T MIND.
THAT'S MY LIFE TODAY. WISHING YOU A GOOD ONE. HUGS, QB S

Good afternoon. It's bright, sunny, and cold, here. But the forecast is for a bit warmer each day until the end of the week. A great start for the month of March which is usually dead winter, always. ![]()
So many of our group can't make it this week or thru the whole month that we're postponeing until April which takes me off the hook for Thursday, when is was to be at our house. Two couples are going to Florida in March and two other singles are unavailable on the days we could meet. That leaves only US!
Please ignore that! But, I can't help myself...![]()
No bears here. We seldom see a deer, now. No racoons anymore. Never a snake. Fewer squirrels. But soon the migrating birds will return as we've already seen a few robins.
I'm going up to my sewing room in a bit. I usually wait til too late in the day and I have to hurry because it's time to cook. Since I have a reprieve from 'company prep', can relax and go up anytime. Planning for baked meatballs for supper.
My prayers are with the Kendalls. Our 'family', here, will be different but this is the way of life.
Hugs and love. ![]()

Tracy sent a message that the hospice company is coming out to see if BJ is worthy of their care- her words. I advised her there are more than one hospice companies, and she is looking into it. Devonne, are you getting the messenger messages from her?

Afternoon everyone! ![]()
Keeping BJ and family in my thoughts and prayers. I had to do hospice with mom. The doctor's office did all the footwork. I just called who I wanted and the office did the rest. Fortunately since the doc wrote the order, Medicare paid for it all! I was meeting them in less than an hour, at Starbucks, (darn), signed the paperwork, got information as to what I would expect. Not sure what is taking so long for them for BJ. I hate that for her family, this is hard enough without that factored in! ![]()
I have gotten some more hand sewing and machine sewing in!
Trish I follow her too! ![]()
The weather has been nice. We hit upper 70's this past weekend. Supposed to be mid to upper 80's this upcoming weekend! Getting hot fast! ![]()
Still no luck with the mineral rights. I am going back to the start and starting over again! I don't know what else to do! ![]()
Called who I was dealing with for years, and yes, they lost the purchaser contract, so on to the next number. Just trying to figure out if I messed up or what! ![]()
Nothing else exciting from my little corner of the world! ![]()
Later my Friends! ![]()

Holly, yes, I am getting the FB messages from Tracy; thanks for telling me. I don't go to FB much anymore.
Trish, the flight was 13 hours, which is the longest one he's been on besides his flight to Paris, then Switzerland. I think it's the time changes that affected him so much. When I was going to bed, they were getting up in Japan "the next day," lol. ![]()
The last picture I looked at of BJ she had on pink earrings. They were so pretty. I always loved how she took care of herself, wearing makeup and jewelry, even if she wasn't going anywhere. It does make you feel better.
I can't believe it's going to be 81 degrees Friday and Saturday. I think the 50's are gone. Is Spring coming early? ![]()

Update from Tracy, the slow agency contracts thru BJ’s county, and no other hospice agency can be in the county. Ashley said it’s the same in KY. That’s so strange to me, in my county I know of at least 3. So basically it’s a monopoly, which is never good.
