1. ADVERTISEMENT FOR DONKEY RIDES IN THAILAND: WOULD YOU LIKE TO RIDE ON YOUR OWN ASS?
2. ON THE FAUCET IN A FINNISH WASHROOM: TO STOP THE DRIP, TURN COCK TO RIGHT.
NICE SUNNY DAY IN THE HIGH 40S. ITS NICE FOR US IN MAINE.
CHERYL......I CONTINUE WITH MY DAILY PRAYERS AND POSITIVE THOUGHTS FOR YOUR DARLING DEAN. WISHING RELIEF SOON. I ALSO KNOW THAT YOU ARE DREADING THIS TIME. A WIFE 'FEELS' FOR HER FAMILY. HUGS GIRL.![]()
WELL, I BLUE DAWNED MY SHOWER. I AM SO GLAD I LEARNED OF THIS METHOD. ITS FAST, EASY AND NO SCRUBBING. MY SHOWER SPARKLES.
DID MY LAPS THIS MORNING. I LIKE TO GET THOSE DONE EARLY.
MY CHORE LIST FOR TODAY ISN'T BAD. LIKE I SAID, ON THE MONTHLY CHORES AS WELL AND THE WEEKLY, THE FOLLOWING TIMES ARE SO MUCH SIMPLER AND FASTER. NO RE-ORGANIZING NEEDED USUALLY.
I ORDERED SOME FARMER'S CHEESE FROM MICHIGAN. I WANTED THEM TO ARRIVE BY EARLY NEXT WEEK, MY BIRTHDAY WEEK. THEY USUALLY SHIP ON MONDAY TO BE SURE THEY GET TO THEIR DESTINATION QUICKLY AND BEFORE A WEEKEND. I PLAN TO INDULGE MYSELF. I WILL ALSO BE MAKING BUNDIES THAT WEEK. AS FOR CHORES, ITS A 5TH WEEK OF THE MONTH SO NO MONTHLY CHORES AND THE WEEKLY ONES CAN GET SKIPPED ONE WEEK. I WILL BE A QUEEN BEE, EXCEPT I WILL HAVE TO COOK MY OWN MEALS UNLESS I SEND OUT FOR THEM. PERSONALLY, I ENJOY MOST OF MY OWN COOKING.
ITS BINGO NITE. WISH ME LUCK.
NOTHING ELSE EXCITING HAPPENING HERE. ANOTHER NICE DAY IN MAINE. STAY SAFE. HUGS, QB S ![]()

Judy, Howard is correct, the Neo is for playing with, not a main computer.
We went to lunch with friends to Applebees, so we have leftovers for dinner, yay! It’s sunny and 55 out.
I finished cutting the 100 yards of flannel into 8” squares. I got 20 squares per yard. They will become rag quilts.
Any NCIS watchers? OMG, that ending last night!
Nothing else going on around here, just the general mayhem.

Does anyone use MCT Oil? I ordered some MCT powder to mix with my coffee. The powder is supposed to be easier on the tummy.
When I moved to the cutting table to cut these strips, I had to move an emb. hoop box. Underneath it was my wool mat; now I have two, lol. I have 47 blocks done, but the main blocks are 3 rows each.
I have ordered so many blouses from Amazon, I ordered the same one twice, lol. It's my favorite fit and they are black, so I'll keep both of them.
Went to Goodwill and found nothing, then a trip to Walmart to return earrings that fell apart when I opened them. Back home and finishing the blocks so I can start sewing the main blocks together.
Cheryl, thoughts and prayers continue for Dean.

Sandra, your drain story gave me some chuckles. Thanks for sharing that. It is so good to laugh at ourselves from time to time.
Devonne, I tried using MCT oil and it gave me horrible digestive issues. Not worth it to me. Did not try a power, though. At my age, I am content with being pudgy, but otherwise healthy. I will not stress over weight any longer. As my brother in law (may he rest in peace) used to say, "Eat the damn cake!" lol!
Thank you for the continued prayers for Dean. He had his bone marrow biopsy today and like Trisha said, it was not terrible. If he could only stand to eat, he would feel much better. Those darn mouth and gum sores make it so difficult. He has lost 25 pounds and he was a skinny one to start.
It was a beautiful day today, but snow on the way again. Such is the March weather here. My mom always said we would get an Easter snow before spring really arrived. My daffodils are drooping, but still pretty yellow.
Thank you all for being here for each other. I really do look forward to reading each entry each day. I am not a social person and I love having you all as friends.

Holly- 100 yards? I don’t have a container that could hold that much? Confused 🤔

I took my first ever MCT powder in my coffee this morning, only 1/2 teaspoon to start. I wasn't hungry, but I had to eat something first. Will post how it affects me after a few days taking it.
Cheryl, I'm not taking it for weight loss, but that would be a bonus! I'm taking it to try and get my energy level up. Will be waiting on the bone marrow results. That's a lot of weight to lose for someone already slim.
I finished the small blocks, 69 of them, but I only need 65?
Going to be 80 today, 84 tomorrow. I was going to see Gary and the kids today, but I have a full schedule planned. today. Will go tomorrow for sure!

ORDER IN THE COURT.....
Q. DID YOU STAY ALL NIGHT WITH THIS MAN IN NEW YORK?
A. I REFUSE TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION.
Q. DID YOU STAY ALL NIGHT WITH THIS MAN IN CHICAGO?
A. I REFUSE TO ANSWER THAT QUESTION.
Q. DID YOU EVER STAY ALL NIGHT WITH THIS MAN IN MIAMI?
A. NO.
ITS HITTING THE 50S TODAY AND CLOUDY. SOME RAIN TONITE THEY TELL US.
I WAS SURPRISED THAT MY FARMERS CHEESE WAS DELIVERED ALREADY, THIS MORNING. I JUST ORDERED IT ON TUESDAY. FAST WORK.
WENT TO CRAFTS AND FINISHED THE HAND QUILTING ON MY VICTORIAN LADY IN BLUE. I NEED TO ADD THE BINDING. THAT I WILL DO BY MACHINE.
I THOUGHT I MIGHT HAND QUILT SEVERAL OF THE VICTORIAN LADIES AND GIVE THEM AS XMAS GIFTS THIS YEAR, AT LEAST TO THE CRAFT GROUP. I TOLD THE GALS I HAVE ONE HANGING ON MY BATHROOM DOOR SINCE ITS A 'LADIES ONLY' BATHROOM IN THIS HOUSE. THEY LIKE THE IDEA. I ALSO LIKE THE IDEA OF HAND QUILTING DURING OUR CRAFT SESSIONS.
I'M NOT COOKING TODAY SINCE I HAVE TO MAKE THE CHICKEN RICE SOUP FOR OUR POTLUCK DINNER TOMORROW. THERE WILL BE OTHER SOUPS AND A CHOWDER I THINK ALONG WITH ROLLS, CRACKERS AND DESSERTS.
THAT'S IT MY FRIENDS. NO LONG STORY FOR YOU TODAY. HUGS FOR YOU ALL, QB S ![]()

=26pxJanet, the cut squares fill 3 27 quart totes, and 4 15 quart totes. Before I cut and sorted, the flannel filled 2 shelves about 8 feet long in the closet. Because it had been spread over 2 closets and a cabinet, I had no idea I had so much. All from sales at Joann’s Fabrics.
High of 76 today! Ralph just refilled the suet out front, the woodpeckers love it, and they are so pretty.
Wow, Easter is next weekend! We’re doing a brunch at Heather’s house, so much less work than a dinner.
I have no idea what’s for dinner.

Yesterday was my busy day. Had a echo cardiogram, then, a stop back at W-M to exchange regular Tylenor for the 8 hr Arthritis strength. ( I carefully wrote on the list for Howard exactly what to get on Tuesday, but he folded his list in half and you know 'the rest of the story'! ) In the late afternoon, ML picked me up and we went to the funeral visitation followed by the funeral. Saw many acquaintances from the past and caught up--seems to be the pattern for funerals now.
ML came over on Tuesday and we spent two hours in the spare room and accomplished about what we did the week before. You can actually close the two closet doors and walk freely in the room.
She was surprised at all the cards from you girls over several Christmases. The way the internet works, and even with all I've told her, I don't thinks she exactly gets the depth of our friendships, but those cards helped with that. Saving things like that are part of my clutter problem so after I look through them again, I'll probably save one from each of you, but not all, as no one else will ever apreciate them. I'll always keep any pictures, though.
In that same vein, I'm letting go of many of the many small, but space-stealing knick knacks and books I've bought at yard sales, antique stores, etc. through the years. Once again, ML has offered to take ANYTHING I part with to Goodwill or the like. That's big for me as those things can pile up in the garage and never get any further. You can imagine how that irks the man!
...
who is 'prowling' around in his short sleeved shirt. Claims he got too hot. That's the way spring is: rainy and chilly or beautiful but too hot, too soon. He's waiting for Fed Ex to deliver his computer but they keep changing the time. ![]()
Cheryl, I know you've said before you're not social. But, since we are now 'family', I'm glad you feel comfortable and close with us. Praying for Dean every day and you, too, of course.
That big pot of potato soup served us very well. We got two supper meals from it and yesterday, we finished it up, individually--me before ML and I left and H. when he got hungry. I also want to make QB's Tater Tot Sausage Cassie, too. Beef Mart has delicious homemade breakfast sausage so I want get some of that, first.
Closing this to go walk in the driveway before it starts raining...

WRITER'S ARE WRONG.....
1. THE DRIVER HAD A NARROW ESCAPE, AS A BROKEN BOARD PENPETRATED HIS CABIN AND JUST MISSED HIS HEAD. THIS HAD TO BE REMOVED BEFORE HE COULD BE RELEASED.
2.TWO CYCLES BELONGING TO GIRLS THAT HAD BEEN LEANING AGAINST LAMP-POSTS WERE BADLY DAMAGED.
ITS COOL, IN THE 30S TODAY, BUT SUNNY. I CAN LIVE WITH THAT.
ITS OUR MARCH POTLUCK DINNER TONITE. THE MENU IS SOUPS AND CHOWDERS. THERE WILL ALSO BE ROLLS, CRACKERS AND DESSERTS. I AM BRINGING MY CHICKEN AND RICE SOUP.
YESTERDAY I WAS ABLE TO CUT OUT SEVERAL BORDER PIECES FOR MY VICTORIAN LADIES. I JUST NEED TO SEW THEM ON AND GET MOVING.
AS FOR THE ONE I JUST FINISHED, I THINK I WILL BRING THE BACKING FORWARD FOR A BINDING AND THEN HEM IT BY HAND. ANOTHER THING THAT I CAN DO AT CRAFT MORNING.
HOLLY.....THAT'S A LOT OF QUILTS ON YOUR LIST. YOU ARE DOING GREAT. WISH I COULD MAKE THAT MANY THESE DAYS.
JUDY.....AND ML. YOU ARE DOING WELL TO GET THAT SPARE ROOM CLEARED AND ORGANIZED. I KNOW IT TAKES TIME AND EFFORT, BUT THE RESULTS WILL BE WORTH IT. ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CAN FIND A THING IN A FEW SECONDS INSTEAD OF HUNTING FOR IT FOR HOURS.
I HAVE TO GET MY LAPS IN LADIES. AND THEN MAYBE WORK ON THE JIGSAW PUZZLE AWHILE. MY COOKING WILL COMMENCE THIS AFTERNOON.
STAY SAFE AND WARM. HUGS, QB S ![]()

I just finished a long phone call with my cousin's wife, Judy, in S. Carolina. She says it's in the 80s today. It's in the 30s here after being 75 for awhile, yesterday. I got in 4 laps in the driveway, then, but may not go out today because it's so windy, too.
QB, you are so right. When ML leaves, I feel a definite lightening of my feelings and I can find some things already because they've shown up as we sort. Your potluck suppers sound wonderful and you don't have to haul the foods too far.
Many must be busy or out and about today. Not many posts, yet. We're home and Howard is fighting with the new computer at the dining table. And he's plenty crabby so it'll be a quiet day.
I was going to cook my St. Pat's corned beef. (I had no carrots on the day) But, I want to do it in the crockpot and I waited too long, so tomorrow... Have to figure something else out for supper. I sail along for several days, then hit a roadblock and don't know what to make. Guess we all have those times.
Going to say goodbye for now. Have a good day.

This morning we had some errands- bank, liquor store for wine to give my brother for his birthday, library. We stopped at Arby’s and got their meat box. A sandwich, fries, mozzarella sticks and a peach enchilada and a small drink for 7.99. You can’t beat that price!
We’re going to my brother Mike’s tomorrow for a barbecue for his 70th birthday. They just decided two days ago, so Heather can’t change her schedule. Ed and maybe kids will go.
=26pxFor Christmas I had given Ralph a bird feeder that has a camera and charges on solar. He put it up yesterday. It sends a video when a bird is there, and identifies the bird! The picture is so clear!
Judy, I feel Howard’s pain. Computers can make you crazy!

Went to UPS store with Amazon returns. I have one more order to place and I'm going to cool it with Amazon orders for awhile.
Gary lives 4 miles from Walmart so I called to see if I could stop by. He let his hair grow out and has a beard. I just love how it looks, but he said it's too hot. For years, he has kept it cut really short.
Holly, I saw that bird feeder a few months ago and thought what a wonderful Christmas present that would make! I love watching the birds. I might have to drop a hint come Christmas time, lol. ![]()
I am going to sew some more, then go watch TV. I am watching Alone on Netflix. It's a competition where they are dropped off in the Arctic Circle with limited resources. I'm on Episode 1. I can watch this in my sewing room, but for movies I need to pay more attention.

CHERYL not sure if this will help, but for DEAN, if he can eat/drink some soup.
Veg Soup I made for my dad when he had cancer and couldn't eat anything else.
Wash all veg you want to use, potato, carrot, onion, celery, parsnip, broccoli - anything at all
BUT trim, peel etc and keep ALL the peelings, even the onion skin/ends, put a little oil in a soup pot, I use olive, but doesn't matter, cook all the peelings in the (tiny) bit of oil till they are starting to colour/wilt, then add water to cover well, cook for a while to make the stock, at least 1/2 hour on simmer, an hour is better, then strain all the peel out, then add all the chopped veg and cook till it's done, you can puree if he can drink it down.
Hopefully that helps, no salt added, nothing but water and veg. ((((hugs)))
I know they would have told you to keep the wound covered and let it heal, it does take a while to heal, but make sure it's healing well because it goes right to the bone and you don't want an infection there ((((hugs)))
SANDRA hope the bingo went well, I had a look at your blog, you do well to keep it up, I forget where mine is and how to get into it anyway I did set one up a log time ago.
DEVONNE enjoy your show! I haven't watched anything on TV for so long, we did stat watching Only Murders in the Building, but I have lost interest in it.
HOLLY that was a good idea for the bird bath. Interesting to see the different birds, technology is great, Happy Birthday to your brother!
INDY computers!!!! I dislike getting new ones, but it is easier for me now with Apple, last time I just had to sit the new one next to the old and it all transferred over. It did take a long time, but the easy part was just tuning them both on. LOL We actually had corned beef on St Pats day by accident, I knew it was, but still didn't think about it, just had the beef to cook and it turned out to be that day LOL
Both Megan and Pete have colds, she sounds worse than him, but I think he's actually worse. He's been snoozing on and off today.
I had sewing on Friday - then training today, and got my things sorted for tomorrow's sewing. I called in to the mall to pick up a couple things on my way back form training, so I did look a sight in tights and sweat-shirt, hair a mess and looking like I'd just done training LOL, but I got in and out in 15 mins, Sara found out that her office wants everyone in easter hats next week, so I grabbed her a set of "bunny ears" LOL I'll give them to her tomorrow.
The palliative nurse came to visit Sis-IL honestly, how they get anything right is beyond me, David rang her later, and she told him she asked sis if she had stopped eating and did she know why - sis doesn't even understand that she has stopped eating and certainly not why. Then David told her that sis was profoundly deaf with an intellectual disablity, the nurse hadn't really realised, so now they want a conference by phone.
Staff have said that they will allow her to live out her life in her own room, with end of life care given when needed, and not be transported to hospital, which she absolutely hates.
It's been incredibly cold here last night and today, we went from 30C to 13C in one day, crazy!! It's nice to sleep under a quilt though.
Members of my fitness group went to climb Mt Kosiosko (7300 ft high) - they did the walk today, it was snowing in parts, it's a huge walk, was going to be at least 8 hours, they will be so tired but so excited to do it, they have been training for weeks. The drive out was yesterday about 8 hours I think - and they had an early start today to be at the start by 6.30am, they had alarms set for 4am as the drive to the start was at least an hour. They are coming home tomorrow. lots of pics I expect and lots of stories!

YOGI BERRA SAYS......
1. I MAY NOT ALWAYS BE RIGHT, BUT I AM NEVER WRONG.
2. ANYBODY WHO GOES TO A PSYCHIATRIST OUGHT TO HAVE HIS HEAD EXAMINED.
ITS NICE AND SUNNY, BUT ONLY LOW 30Sf TODAY. BRRRR.
I CUT SEVERAL COLORS FOR BORDERS FOR MY LADIES SO THEY ARE READY. I ROLL THEM UP ON USED TOILET PAPER ROLLS. KEEPS THEM IN PLACE. NOW TO FIND THE TIME TO ADD THEM TO SOME OF MY LADIES.
TODAY I SKETCHED ANOTHER SNOOPY WITH THE SAYING, "I AM A MULTITASKER. I CAN LISTEN, IGNORE AND FORGET ALL AT THE SAME TIME." SEEMS SO PERFECT FOR ME.
I HAVE SO MANY IDEAS IT SHOULD KEEP ME ALIVE AND WELL TIL I AM A HUNDRED, AT LEAST.
TRISH......DID I FORGET TO MENTION I WON $4.50 AT BINGO THIS WEEK. THAT'S 2 WEEKS IN A ROW WITH A WIN. I LIKE THESE WEEKS.
SORRY FOR ALL THE PROBS WITH SIS. HEALTH ISSUES CAN GO ON AND ON.......AND ON. NO FUN FOR THOSE OF US CATERING TO THEIR NEEDS.
DEVONNE......YOU ARE ON A ROLL. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK ON THAT QUILT. I HOPE TO SEE A PICTURE OF IT FINISHED SOON.
THOSE OF YOU NOT FEELING THE GREATEST, WE JUST HAVE TO TAKE OUR DAYS ONE AT A TIME. SOME ARE BETTER THAN OTHERS. ENJOY THE BETTER ONES TO THE FULLEST.
I DID MY LAPS AND SORTED MY WEEKLY PILLS. I HAVE TO START ON MY BORDERS SOON.
WE HAD 11 OF US AT THE POTLUCK AND SOOOO MUCH FOOD. I SUGGESTED NEXT TIME WE BRING A DOGGY BAG, LIKE A SACK WITH SEVERAL SMALL COVERED CONTAINERS SO WE CAN BRING HOME LOTS OF DIFFERENT LEFTOVERS. THAT'S WHAT I PLAN TO DO NEXT TIME. MY SOUP WAS ENJOYED BUT I STILL CAME HOME WITH LEFTOVERS ENOUGH FOR A COUPLE DAYS. WE MAKE MUCH TOO MUCH FOOD AT THESE THINGS.
I THINK THAT COVERS IT ALL. I'M HEADING OFF TO CHECK ON THE POTATO SOUP RECIPE. I LOVE MY SPUDS. HUGS MY FRIENDS. QB S ![]()

Alone has been kind of boring, but still holding my interest. The men I thought would be there at the end were the first ones to leave! I think there are only 4 people left now.
Trish, are you surprised your SIL is still living with all of her problems? Really sad situation.
I am off to sew these 13 blocks together. I sewed this morning and got them ready to go. Then there will be more blocks, not nearly as time consuming. There were a lot of points to match in these 13 blocks. I wouldn't do this if I hadn't already cut out the pieces.
It is colder here today, supposed to reach 69, but only 59 now.

We had a lovely afternoon at Mike and Donna’s. Not a huge crowd, so we got to visit with everyone. Baby Boone is crawling all over the place. I took the Mary Poppins wallhanging and zipper pulls, and everyone loved them.
Devonne, the birdfeeder I got was one of the less expensive ones, and he’s loving it. It has a solar battery for the camera, and sends him a picture of the birds. He’s talking about getting them for the girls, but I reminded him that Manda can’t put one up due to the bears.
I was talking to Britt, who is Donna’s niece who lived with them most of her life. She lives in Delaware and her 13 year old is being home schooled because of bullying. They found an online school organization that provides them with lessons and some videos. She said the poor kid was so stressed about being bullied, and the school did nothing, which is no surprise.
And my late nephew Joseph’s son Joey is now 13 and as tall as I am! He’s such a good kid. Every time I see him I slip him some cash and tell him to get ice cream, LOL. His mom Ali told me he really appreciates it.
