WELFARE BLOOPERS......
1. MRS JONES HAS NOT HAD ANY CLOTHES FOR A YEAR AND HAS BEEN VISITED REGULARLY BY THE CLERGY.
2. PLEASE FIND FOR CERTAIN IF MY HUSBAND IS DEAD. THE MAN I AM NOW LIVING WITH CAN'T EAT OR DO ANYTING TILL HE KNOWS.
ITS SNOWING ONCE AGAIN. THEY SAY MAYBE AN INCH THIS TIME. ITS ACCUMULATING MORE THAN MONDAY ON THE CARS SINCE THERE IS LITTLE WIND.
JUDY.......YES, SOMETIMES I REGRET TOSSING OUT A THING AND REALIZE I COULD HAVE USED IT.
THIS MORNING I GRABBED BACK 2 MORE FABRICS FROM THE 'FREE' TABLE, FOR MY DAU. SHE WANTS TO MAKE SOME TOTE BAGS AND I THOUGHT THESE WOULD WORK FOR HER. A LOT IS ALREADY GONE.
THERESA.....I'M GLAD THE CHIRO IS WORKING OUT FOR YOU WITH YOUR SHOULDER. THEY ARE USEFUL NOW AND THEN.
HOLLY....."THE SQEAKY WHEEL GETS THE GREASE" GOOD THING YOU E-MAILED THOSE WITH SOME AUTHORITY AND GOT QUICK RESULTS IN REMOVING THAT SNOW. HOORAY FOR YOU.
MY TIP FOR THE DAY: WHEN POLISHING OR DUSTING PUT AN OLD, CLEAN SOCK ON YOUR HAND. IT WORKS WONDERS FOR GETTING INTO THE CREASES AND CURVES SO EASILY.
TODAY I WILL MAKE A NICE SMALL STEAK AND ONION SUB FOR BRUNCH AND THEN A SALAD FOR SUPPER. WITH GOING TO BINGO TONITE I LIKE TO HAVE SOMETHING QUICK AND EASY FOR SUPPER LIKE A SANDWICH OR SOMETHING I CAN JUST REHEAT. A SALAD WORKS, TOO.
I AM HAPPY TO REPORT I LOST A POUND. THE BUSY EXERCISE IS WORKING ITS MAGIC. IT WOULD HELP IF I WOULD CUT DOWN ON MY EVENING SNACKS BUT THAT'S TOUGH FOR ME.
STAY WARM AND SAFE. HUGS, QB S ![]()

Afternoon y'all! ![]()
QB I use socks destined for the round file, trash can! I found they work wonders, when dusting! ![]()
Holly, wow someone read the email in a timely manner!!!! That's impressive! ![]()
Nothing exciting here today! Started out pretty with the sun shining, a bit chilly, now it's cloudy and dreary! ![]()
I got my walk in , home, I pulled some weeds, filled a peach basket, figured that was enough for one day. I have cleaned the kitchen, daily chore, and got the fixins out for supper! Made a pot of sweet tea! I am good to go for supper! I am making sauerkraut and Beer brats. I make them in the rice cooker. I use the elevated tray, put the rinsed sauerkraut on the tray, brats on top and poor beer over it! I dislike beer, but it works with this recipe! Beer bread would go great with this! HMMMM! ![]()
I never made it to the sewing room yesterday. I made the mistake of sitting on the couch. Simba decided it was time to play, let me out, let me in. I pulled the blankets off the couch, while he was out, and replaced them with clean ones. Got his blanket from upstairs, all went into the washer, and upset him greatly! He tried to take the upstairs blanket from me! After that he pouted! Spoiled! ![]()
His blankets are clean, smell good, and he had to arrange them how he wanted them! ![]()
I at least am getting stuff done, just not what I want to do! I did get several hexies prepared last night to sew together tonight. Gave my fingers a night off of sewing! ![]()
Told you not exciting! ![]()
That's all from my little corner of the world. ![]()
Later my Friends! ![]()

Theresa, I like our mayor. He is part time, has another job, and yet always reads emails quickly. I have emailed him before on other matters, and always got a quick response.
Another hour moving fabric around today. I found another shelf of flannel in the freestanding cabinet! At some point I’ll take a week or so and just make baby blankets with anything two yards, and do some rag quilts.
We had another inch of snow this morning, but it got up into the 40’s so we had some melting. The weekend is supposed to be in the 50’s. Mother Nature keeps teasing us with spring.
I watched a new episode of Naked and Afraid last night. Those people are both brave and insane. This group was in the Everglades and ate alligator, wild pig, rabbit and squirrel.

Holly, I watch Naked and Afraid too. I love Matt, he is the greatest in my opinion. The second one was on this week and it has Kye (from Australia) and Dan and they have to do 14 days no NO tools at all. No water pot, no knife, etc. nothing. It was very interesting and they are so smart and resourceful. Kye (I think that is how she spells her name) is a fierce warrior woman!
The weather here today was 50 and it is melting most of the snow. We still have large piles from the plows, but most on the ground is gone. Supposed to get snow again in a couple of days.
Kelli and I made rag quilts years ago. They are very easy and like Janet said, they make a mess the first few times of washing due to the fraying of the flannel. They are very warm and cozy, though.
Well, I drove my car for the first time since January 14. Dean is very sick and throwing up. He said he does not remember ever being this sick before. This is the second day of it for him. So I had to go get the kids from school and it was fine. I drive much easier than I walk since the weight is not on the foot when driving.
It was just me for supper, so I made two pancakes and called it supper. Now I am going to go start a new jigsaw and then watch some TV. Glad the Olympics are over and I can watch something different.

Hi everyone,
This is not a post I want to make
, I heard from Tracy tonight, they have called for a minister friend to pray with them and also asking for expedited hospice care, BJ is not breathing well, and she is not moving around the house or engaging. I have sent her a message and am happy to also send any messages you may want me to, but she can also read here too.
I am so sad for this, but was expecting it as well, she has not been well, and her last hospital visit showed she was in trouble. I let Tracey know she had prayers and love from us all.

CHERYL I am so sorry for Dean, not good news, and also sorry for your kidneys, it's not fun, that's for sure, hopefully my readings will have improved this month, having tests tomorrow, I have been watching my water intake, and (mostly) drinking the required 2 litres per day. I need those numbers up LOL
SANDRA such great news you can find use for the fabric, usually I find a use AFTER I toss it, so lately I haven't wanted to toss anything. It sounds like a great plan to have double sided table mats/toppers.
HOLLY that was a quick response from the department, well done, I have no use for flannel, I don't even use flannel sheets LOL I just don't like the feel of it, and I always hated that the room had fluff balls from the sheets, the Mr always had them, but he learnt to survive with the cotton LOL I use a wool/poly blend for batting in my quilts, used to use the cotton, but I feel like the other is lighter and more comfortable.
The rain is bucketing down, we have been told to expect local flooding, doesn't seem like it will do that here, the gutters are fine - so far!
INDY I am glad they got home safe and sound, you too DEVONNE, it's nice to have family be where they should be.
I didn't even know that Gary was in Melbourne till he returned, LOL He went on Tuesday and came back last night, so just an overnight.
THERESA I have been following Rachel on "Stitch With Rachel". She has just prepped a massive amount of hexies LOL She does a fair bit of handsewing I think, based in the UK, and she is pretty quick. I only found her by accident, she was opening Advent calendars from both Missouri Quilts and also Tilda. So much fun to see what was in the packages - 2 per day. Lots of lovely fat 1/4s and all sorts of odds and ends from Missouri.
It's coming down now! I ordered pizza for dinner, I just couldn't be bothered tonight, I get so tired of thinking of something to eat, I would be happy with some of those single meals from the freezer LOL I have been good so far this week, and we had some nice meals, chicken in plum sauce, silverside, another roast, and steaks with all the sides for all of them, so by Thursday I was done thinking!
I have sewing tomorrow, and we have been told it's glutes workouts on Saturday, so by Monday I will be barely able to sit down. Then sewing Sunday as well. It will be good to catch up with the girls.
My friend Gemma from training was to have her baby today she had a caesar booked 6.30 this morning, it's a boy, but no name has been announced yet. So hope all is well
I have only hand work for tomorrow, still working on the last of the EPP, and sewing the drunkards path. I will finish them tomorrow - I hope!

I was coming on to share the same message that Trish got from Tracy. Such hard news, not surprising but hard to hear.

🙏🏻 for BJ.
And for everyone here and their family members.
We (I) hired painters to paint two bedrooms and a large bathroom next to my quilt studio. DH is being his OCD self and doing some spackling, etc that they would be doing. They have always done great work, but that’s just the way he is.
The good thing is that these room are not furnished. I’m figuring 2 1/2 days.
That will leave 2 bathrooms and a large pantry-laundry room, and 2 walk in closets.
Raining here today and at 9am it’s 52*! Yea.

Cheryl, could Dean’s sickness be from the antibiotic? I watched the Naked and Afraid with Ky and Dan last night, they were amazing.
I did another hour of moving fabric around. I’m making real progress! Right now the rooms are organized chaos.
Janet, it’s good to hire painters. It’s sure easier than doing it ourselves!
it’s 42, and due to be in the 50’s over the weekend, so some melting! Then cold again the beginning of the week. And of course, the constant decision of what’s for dinner.

I UPDATED MY BLOG. INCLUDES PICTURES OF MY LATEST AND MY FABRICS.

So sorry to hear that BJ is failing. Prayers for her and the family.
We here in Northern VT didn't get any snow. However Jeff who is Providence RI got about 40 ". They started to plow his street yesterday but plow got stuck. They did send a larger truck later so he is finally plowed out. It is a challenge to plow narrow city streets. We chatted the day it started as I was going out to do some errands and he was busy being sure his batteries were all charged, etc. Always an adventure.
Stay safe.

So very sad to read about BJ. I knew to expect this news, but it's still hard. Hugs and prayers.

Holly, I don't think so. We think he has Norovirus. He has been really sick for three days. I wanted to take him to the ER, but that stubborn man would not go. He seems a little better today and is keeping his gatorade and water down.
Prayers for BJ and her family. May their love give them comfort in this trying time.
It is a beautiful, sunny day and the birds are singing outside the window. So nice, but snow is retuning soon.

PRAYERS CONTINUE FOR OUR BJ. HER FAMILY TAKES SUCH VERY GOOD CARE OF HER. THEY MUST BE SUFFERING. HUGS FOR THE FAMILY. ![]()

We're off to Beef Mart and the grocery, soon. It's to be 55 degrees today with snow returning over the weekend, so time to stock up again. ML and I just had another phone call. We've not seen each other since they got back on Tuesday. It just hasn't worked out, but I'm content that they're back home and in the groove again.
My prayers, too, for BJ and her dear family. Wishing comfort for each of them. ![]()
Joni, good to hear from you. Wow, no snow for you and 40" for Jeff! Has Arlo adjusted to the change in climate?
Cheryl, am sorry to hear how ill Dean has been. He must be very frustrated as well as miserable. He's usually so cooperative and pleaseant Glad he has you to care for him.
Linda, thinking of you...knowing how it feels to be discombobulated myself, too often. I guess that's where the saying, "Keep calm and carry on" fits us. Sometimes that's hard to do, isn't it?
I need to go and get ready for town. Also, want to get outside, even if it's just between stores.

Linda, thanks for the information!
I finished the sorting and organizing of all my fabric! I did two one hour bursts today to finish. I was keeping track, it took about 10 hours. Today I did 2700 steps just going back and forth between the closets. The closets are in adjoining rooms, about15 feet between the closets. I’m so happy to have it done.
I even found Mousie, which was Steph’s childhood stuffie. Steph had asked about her when she was home. I knew she was around, but not sure where. She was hiding in a pile of fabric. I sent Steph a picture of her. She said Dan has his childhood stuffie, so she’d wondered. I would never get rid of her. Manda’s childhood stuffie, Cookie is on the bookcase in the guest room, so Mousie joined her.
Ralph hurt his hip muscles throwing snow (seemed like a good idea at the time) so we are both laying low.
Cheryl, I had what I think was norovirus last November. After 5 days I went to urgent care and the doc gave me a big dose of antibiotics, I felt better the next day.
Thinking of BJ and her family. I had the privilege of spending an afternoon with her and Tracy, and they are both such good people.
