WELFARE BLOOPERS.....
1. I AM GLAD TO REPORT THAT MY HUSBAND WHO IS MISSING IS DEAD.
2. IN ACCORDANCE WITH YOUR INSTRUCTIONS I HAVE GIVEN BIRTH TO TWINS IN THE ENCLOSED ENVELOPE.
ANOTHER DAY IN THE 40S. I JUST TOOK OUT MY TRASH TO THE DUMPSTER. NICE DAY OUT THERE. NO WIND.
DEVONNE......LOVE THOSE FLOORS. IN THIS BLDG NOW THEY ARE PUTTING IN THE DARKER FLOORS IN THE KITCHEN AND BATHROOMS WHEN SOMEONE MOVES OUT. I HAVE THE LIGHTER ONES AND LOVE THEM BUT THE DARKER ONES SHOW LESS DIRT. THAT'S A GOOD THING AT OUR AGE.
TRISH......YOU ARE RIGHT, I WOULD NOT LIKE YOUR TEMPS. RIGHT NOW IT IS IN THE 40SF AND MY LIVING ROOM WINDOW IS OPEN FOR THE COOL AIR. NO HEAT TURNED ON YET THIS YEAR. LIKE I AM SURE I MENTIONED BEFORE, I AM SANDWICHED IN WITH APTS ABOVE, BELOW AND BOTH SIDES OF ME. THEY KEEP ME WARM ENOUGH. ACTUALLY, TOO WARM.
I MADE THE MEATLOAF AND POTATO SALAD YESTERDAY SO I HAVE ENOUGH LEFTOVERS FOR A COUPLE MORE MEALS AFTER SHARING WITH MY NEIGHBOR. I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT TO TAKE OUT TO DEFROST AT THIS TIME.
LINDA......ITS GOOD THAT YOU HAVE NOW PACKED AWAY XMAS AND CAN CONCENTRATE OF WINTERTIME AND THEN THE COMING SPRING. I KNOW YOU HAVE MORE DECOR TO FIT THE SEASONS.
HOLLY......I AM GOING TO CHECK OUT YOUR BLOG IN A MINUTE. I AM SURE YOU ARE DOING SOME GOOD WORK. YOU ALWAYS DO AND I ENJOY CHECKING THEM OUT.
TODAY IS SATURDAY AND I HAVE MY USUAL SCHEDULE OF CHORES NEARLY DONE. THEN I CAN READ MY NEXT BOOK, BY JOANNE FLUKE, "CARAMEL PECAN ROLL MURDER." ALISON SWEENEY PLAYS THE LEAD IN THIS MURDER MYSTERY SERIES ON HALLMARK ABOUT HER BAKERY, THE COOKIE JAR, AND HER SLEUTHING. SHE HAS SO MANY RECIPES IN HER BOOKS WHICH ARE USELESS TO ME. I DO NOT DO COOKIES AND CAKES AND SUCH. NEVER CARED FOR MOST OF THEM AND THE FEW I LIKE I MAKE ALREADY.
THAT'S IT LADIES. STAY SAFE. HUGS FOR YOU ALL, QB S ![]()

I just caught up reading from the past few days. The Bible Study group was here yesterday and, hallejulah, it's over for this time. I know, shame on me. It's just that sometimes it's harder to get ready for them and this was one of those. ML had to come 3 times. I didn't feel very well Thurs. and then overslept til 9 yesterday.
ML came a bit after 9. Anyway, it all worked out in the end and we had a good time.
Devonne, your floor is beautiful. I know it's a bit of an ordeal while being installed but you'll soon forget that in the pleasure of looking at (and caring for) it.
What did you and Gracie do all those hours they were there?
My kitchen/dining laminate was installed prior to LVT being available but it is a good quality and, so far, has held up very well and best of all, doesn't show much of any dirt or spots. It's about the same color as yours, just a tiny bit lighter. However, IF we had had the choice of LVT, I'm sure we would have chosen it.
I wish the things I was dying to do while preparing for company, I had written down. Today, with the pressure off, despite my on-going exhaustion, I can't think of what they were.
So, I'll still enjoy time on here, and some reading, and maybe some hand sewing and surely some napping! ![]()
It's snow/sleeting and then stopping and continuing again. We've had a few mild but cloudy days and knew this was coming.
Cheryl, does their mom whine about and warn them that there's no food before they come? If so, how strange. She truly isn't "mom" material, is she? Never was. Besides their dad, I'm so glad the kids have the stability of you and Dean. Bless their hearts...
and yours...
So I could rattle on and on, but will spare you and find something for my lunch. Have a great afternoon. ![]()

Devonne, what kind of area rugs can you use that won’t slip? The flooring looks fantastic!
I used my new stripology ruler to cut binding strips, so fast and easy! Thanks to Mary Lou for suggesting the biggest one!
Wow, Trish, you can keep that heat! It’s 46 and drizzling here.

Devonne your floors are beautiful. I like a dark floor, especially with all the white that you have in your home. Anthony had new floors put in last eyar or the year before and his is much darker than yours. He also has all that white and the contrast is beautiful. My floors are just a tad darker than yours, but now we are thinking of removing the last of the carpeting (in the living room) and if so, will re-do all of the floors so they are the same through out. Our upstairs and all bedrooms still have carpeting. Our upstairs bathroom has tile. At my age, they will remain as such.
I ordered a new Maytag washer and dryer. I only wanted a very basic, not touch buttons, model. It is an old fashioned, easy to use model. Even with that, the saleslady said it is all computerized these days.
It is chilly and gray and rainy today as it is supposed to be very cold again next week.
Trish, how awful that the boys had to see the emergency with that poor lady. We had several deaths on the water here, this past summer also. We had a dad and small boy on a river here go missing. They found the boy's remains, but never did find the dad. The river ran to Lake Erie, so I suppose he ended up there. So sad.

Holly, I don't know the answer yet, lol. I know for LVP flooring, they recommend you buy wool, cotton or jute rugs. I'm not a fan of jute. Maybe I can find a padding that will work for other rugs? Need to do some research.
They will be finished soon...around 9:00 pm! We are all exhausted and poor Gracie...she has tried to hide on the bottom shelf of my end table. I don't know how she got under there but she did twice.
Judy, yesterday (Friday) was a beautiful day and Gracie and I were able to sit outside under the gazebo. It did rain a little, but we were covered. Today it was 62, rainy and windy, so more on the chilly side.
Cheryl, wonder if the Maytag guy is still lonely, lol?
It cost as much to install the flooring as it did to buy the flooring. Looks like I will have 4 or 5 boxes left over. The next major buy for me is a new dryer. After that, I don't need anything else....knock on wood!

My gosh DEVONNE that is a long day, for them as well as you, so good to get it all done though, and it looks fabulous. Mine is similar but more brown. I do love the look, and so easy to clean, we still have carpet in the bedrooms - maybe that can been my list of home improvements LOL I don't have rugs, I am concerned about tripping. I find it's OK without them, I do wear shoes at home, or slippers, occasionally barefoot - mostly at night for bathroom stops LOL
CHERYL we have been keeping an eye on Dean, just to make sure he is OK, seems fine, I think it was so quick a view he will be fine with it, awful for them not to have a final end for the dad, happens so often with drowning. I do hope there was food for the kids, she's really disgusting!
INDY I feel like I am busy but haven't accomplished anything, I'm glad you can relax for a while!
SANDRA I have read most of the Joanne Fluke books, I have the recipe book as well, I often make the lemon bars from it. Delicious and always popular when I take them somewhere. I forget where I finished with them, about book 20 or so? Not sure. I did get a bit sick of the Norman/Mike saga LOL
I had a thought, your temps are actually similar to ours EXCEPT ours are centigrade LOL so the 40s and 30s are what we are having. It's not like that today though, overcast and quite cool, but very smoky, lots of fires have been burning and the smoke has drifted in. I wanted to have the house open, but dislike the smoke smell.
I went to the mall, got my nails done it's very quiet there, the stores are not making much today. I also picked up a few things at Aldi. It was busy, and the self serve was also very busy, a queue, I was going to it, but noticed a checkout with only a couple people and they only had a few items, so switched, still people waiting to serve themselves ! I mostly use it when there is a big queue, but today was the opposite. Go figure, no idea why, the man in front of me for self serve was still waiting when I got served.
I want to finish the borders on the quilt I don't like, been putting it off, but I need to get it done, so today it is
I'll start a new week later
p.s. I just fixed the "Sunday" for the top of the thread, it was wrong, I didn't notice till yesterday. It said "Sundy"
