We have an electric dryer. Works great, no odor . Dries a large load of towels in 30-35 mins. Natural gas is not available around here so if you wanted a gas dryer it would have to be propane…an expensive way to dry wash…

Holly that is state to state, as I have learned. I have the certificate proving I am the personal representative. For all the good that is doing. I will still have to register all of this in Louisiana! ![]()
Yes it does make you crazy! ![]()

I just posted in the recipe section a breakfast casserole that we had for dinner, uses sausage and frozen waffles. Ralph gave it an A+. We had almost half of it, and will have more for breakfast.
Thanks, Linda, glad you like the Afghan!
It was in the upper 40’s and sunny out. I still haven’t taken down the decorations on the mantle, I should change them out with V Day ones this week.

Evening y'all! ![]()
Been doing Probate stuff all day. Had to get an EIN number. Easy to get, just went online, applied and got it! Finally something easy! ![]()
Got forms from Probate Court to list assets etc. Couldn't find it online. After seeing the title, no wonder we couldn't find it! ![]()
Once I got home I was exhausted and just laid on the couch. Took my blood sugar before supper and it was low. Apparently the whole process is messing with my sugar. Todd even told me when I got home to just go sit on the couch! I even listened. What a radical idea! ![]()
Need to go chill some more. I am just whipped! Later my Friends! ![]()

Everything went perfect yesterday! When the flooring arrived, 3 pallets that weighed 4,215 lbs., and they are normally left at curbside because of this weight. Fortunately, he had an electric power lift and was able to put them in the garage. I cleaned it out the day before, thank goodness.
The installer and his crew of 5 guys are here. Gracie and I are in the back bedroom out of the way.
Linda, no hurry to get the decorations down. I still have my Christmas cards on my mantel. I leave them out as long as I can. My ex-DIL left her Christmas tree up one year until June, lol.
I can hear them cutting the carpet in the hallway. They might be coming in here soon.
Theresa, once I listed the "estate" in the paper for anyone hubby might have owed money to, it was over quickly after that. I got the final papers in the mail in less than a month.

STOP THE PRESSES!.....
A MAN WAS ARRESTED ON CHARGES OF DISORDERLY CONDUCT AFTER HE WAS FOUND NUDE IN A CAR AT A HOTEL PARKING LOT. A WOMAN STAYING AT THE HOTEL SAID A MAN, WEARING ONLY A T-SHIRT, CONFRONTED HER NEAR HER ROOM. THE WOMAN TOLD POLICE SHE CHASED THE MAN, BUT HE ESCAPED.
ANOTHER LOVELY SUNSHINY DAY IN THE 40S. LOVE IT.
I MADE THE CHICKEN VEGGIE NOODLE CASSY AND SHARED WITH 4 THAT NEEDED A MEAL. I STILL HAVE ENOUGH FOR LEFTOVERS FOR TODAY. IT WAS A NEW RECIPE FOR ME, AND WAS VERY GOOD EXCEPT THERE WERE LOTS OF DISHES AND POTS WHEN I WAS FINISHED. BOTH THE CHICKEN AND THE NOODLES HAD TO BE PRE-COOKED. I HAD A SINKFUL TO WASH AFTER SUPPER.
FOR SUPPER TONITE I THINK I WILL MAKE A SMALL MEATLOAF (1 LB) AND MAKE SOME POTATO SALAD TO GO WITH IT. A NEIGHBOR FELL YESTERDAY AND HURT HER LEG SO I WILL SEND HER A MEAL SO SHE DOES NOT HAVE TO STAND AT THE STOVE TO COOK TODAY.
SHE GOT SOME CASSY LAST NITE TOO.
I AM INTO THE BOOK FROM THE LIBRARY AND IT IS SOOO GOOD I HATE TO PUT IT DOWN. I AM LEARNING SO MUCH ABOUT THE THOROUGHBRED RACING HORSES. BUT NEEDS MUST, SO THERE IS A BIT TO FINISH AND I WILL GO TO THE COMMON ROOM SO I AM NOT TEMPTED TO CLEAN OR DO ANYTHING IN MY APT. THAT WAY I AM SURE TO FINISH IT
OTHER THAN THAT, I DID MY LAPS AND I WILL VACUUM TODAY. MAYBE TAKE OUT THE TRASH, BUT THAT'S ABOUT IT FOR MY CHORES.
STAY SAFE. HUGS, QB S ![]()

Good Morning to everyone!! Very slight breeze outside this morning. There is a small squirrel moving around the neighbors today!! Out of sight now! I really don't have anything to say this morning, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

Wow, where is everyone this afternoon? I got labs drawn this morning, then we came home and had lunch. My new favorite thing is scrambled egg tacos. Scrambled eggs, bacon on a flour tortilla. Hidden Valley has a spicy ranch that has a bit of a kick to it, so I spread that on the taco. For dinner he had some of the waffle and sausage dish, and I had spinach salad.
I finished the scrapghan last night, pix on my blog. Tonight I started Baby Boone’s temperature snake. I’m making the head a pale yellow, and using an F/5 or 3.75 mm hook. I’ll embroider the eyes on this one, since she’s a baby and I don’t want her chewing on the safety eyes.
we’re getting rain tonight and tomorrow. Better than snow!
There are tissues in a round container- think grated cheese or Pringles- that fit in the console of a car. I sent each of my girls a 4 pack, because I think they are so cute.
Sandra, it’s so good that you follow a routine, I have a loose one also.
Devonne, sounds like the flooring is going in well! Yay!
Back to the snake!

Holly, your purple afghan is pretty. It doesn't seem like scraps to me. I have seen those tissues in the round containers. They will fit in a drink holder in a car for sure.
It was almost 60 degrees today! It was cloudy with just a few drizzles, so we took Bosco to the park for a long walk. We had him out almost an hour.
We ordered Chinese takeout again tonight as Amelia requested it. Even it has gotten expensive these days! But it is a lot of food, so we have left overs for lunch tomorrow and we send the remaining things with Amelia. They are going to their mom's and Amelia- said they have no food cause mom had to pay the rent. ![]()
My new washer and dryer were supposed to be delivered today, but they called and said they could not do it until Monday. Seems one of the delivery guys wife went into labor. How inconsiderate!
(just kidding)
I had my teeth cleaned this morning and all was well. They said see you in 6 months, but when I went to schedule, I cannot get an appointment until NOVEMBER 2! Crazy. Office lady said they have a national shortage of dental hygienists.
Offline
DEVONNE sounds like it's gong well, you will be so glad to have it finished, will they finish today or have to return?
SANDRA you would not have liked the last few days here, it's after 8pm and still close to 100, going to better later, we are expecting a 'southerly buster' in another few hours and the temp will drop at least 25 deg. It got to 100 last couple days and this morning at training it was over 80 - yikes!!!
So good of you to share, and keep that recipe, you will have need of it in the next little
while with your excess chicken ![]()
HOLLY thanks for the recipe, and your afghan is pretty
I haven't seen those tissues, we just have the small packs you can fit in your purse. I buy boxes for the house, but we always have a big supply of the little ones.
CHERYL Sounds like Chinese is a favourite with yours too!! Too bad that there is no food at "mum'" that's awful, does she expect you to supply it all?? OH NO on the dental appt, mine is pretty easy to get into, but I do make the appt 6 months in advance, got a new electirc toothbrush, and it seems to be helping.
STRINGS so glad it's all still OK at your home, even if not quite to your expectations. Be kind to yourself, it will get done eventually.
I haven't done much today, we had a coffee meeting after training, 10 of us went, I had a strawberry protein smoothie, it was too hot for coffee - or food LOL I have made up for it since though.
I made my peach slice, easy recipe, but I had to buy canned fruit and packet cake mix, it's so quick, I had sour cream to use up, so of course instead of throwing that out I bought extra things to make the slice, I had butter and coconut ![]()
They just had a piece and it's pretty good. I am waiting for the wind to blow some cold air at us, I can open the house right up and cool it off. The a/c was on last few nights till 3am to keep it cool enough to sleep, then back on again by 10am.
A bit of drama for Dean today he met friends and they went to a local swimming centre, there was an ambulance called, they evacuated the pool complex, he saw the person and told Megan she was dead - he thought so anyway, it's in the paper tonight and she's critical, horrible for him to see, he said she was blue and didn't seem to be breathing. 60 yr old woman, so sad, we have had so many deaths so early in the new year, I think it's up to 8 now. Most at the beach, but some in pools too.

GOOD MORNING!
WE HAD SOME MUCH NEEDED RAIN. YAY!
GOT THE PLASTIC BOXES TO THE BASEMENT. I TOOK A FEW THAT WERE SMALL AND NOT HEAVY. TODD TOOK THE OTHERS. WILL ORGANIZE BOXES LATER. STILL HAVE 2 GLASS TREES OUT.
When my sister was ill, tree stayed up until February. DARRELL FINALLY TOOK IT DOWN. WON'T GO INTO HOW THE DECORATIONS WERE HANDLED. WE WEREN'T HAVING THE LIGHTS ON AT NIGHT. ALL WORKED OUT. WAS GLAD THAT HE TOOK CARE OF THAT THAT YEAR.. THIS YEAR MOST WAS BOXED BY WEEKEND AFTER NEW YEARS, SO THAT WASN'T TOO BAD. DID DECONSTRUCT A WREATH YESTERDAY.
HOLLY, THE PURPLE AFGHAN IS VERY PRETTY. WILL CHECK YOUR BLOG TO KEEP UP WITH BOONE'S SNAKE.
BISY DAY TODAY SO BETTTER GO.

Trish, what a scary thing for Dean to see. I hope the lady is going to be ok.
The installers will be back today. They have a little more tile to get up in the master bathroom and install all the quarter round (some call it shoe moulding). The master bath and my closet is the only flooring that isn't done. I made the right choices with the color and the size planks. I went with 6x48, but most people prefer the 9x72. The smaller size looks more traditional. It looks like I just moved in. I'm tired and haven't done anything, lol. No tv last night because everything is unplugged and I couldn't find the Roku box for the bedroom tv.
Linda, you made a lot of progress. I am not putting all this "stuff" back into my closets. It will go to my car and to the local thrift store.
Cheryl, congratulations on the new washer and dryer. I hope it will last you 30 years! I'll be getting a new dryer this year and hopefully it will last me until I go to my other home, lol. What brand did you go with?
It rained all day yesterday and raining today too. They put the old carpet in the garage until the rain stops. I was embarrassed at how nasty it was. Molly had kidney disease & she peed more on the carpet than I realized. So glad it is gone. I'll need to find me a comfortable pair of shoes. Walking on these hard floors won't be good for my bad feet.
Master bedroom.....before and after. Going to be so much easier on my bad back to clean. My carpet shampooer is gone out the door!

I ordered so many lighter flooring samples because my house can be rather dark. In the end, they were all too light for me. I guess I am old fashioned. I think this color, Arbor, goes well with my white cabinets.
You can see the 6x48 size good in these two pictures. I love area rugs, but you can't use any that have rubber or latex backing on LVP floors. The ones I now have I can't use.
