Janet, your "suited" up made me laugh. My farmer grandpa used to say he was going to get "coated" up. Howie got suited/coated and hatted up (his fur hat) and went out and plowed the additional 6" lake effect we got last night. Thankfully, the plow is cooperating, still. I never trust it completely.
We went to our small group yesterday and had a good time. We've added a new member, a widow, who is not really new to us, so there's no "getting acquainted" curve. I made a fudge cake from scratch and it tastes good, but it's not like other's I've made using the same recipe. Looks like it fell and it didn't?? I wanted to try Theresa's crockpot cake, but with the treacherous sidewalks and the difficulty getting into that house, I decided to go with a cake that could go in my old aluminum 9 x 13 pan with a lid. It's got to be 50 years old, and looks it! ![]()
QB, thanks once more for the laughs! The one about the Black Forest was too funny.
I read that household chores can be good exercise for older folks. Those and your laps should keep you in good shape as I see that you always keep up with your chores.
I'm always glad that you have the river view in all seasons and weather. It's a nice one.
Cheryl, seems like you're faring fairly well with being housebound. Guess we're all sort of like that in the winter. Your grands and Bosco keep you and Dean hopping. How nice to have a dog to love on, play with and then send home to eat. He must need to eat a lot. ![]()
I'm off to do some picking up, a never ending task. Have beef stew in the crockpot and it smells good. That and some l/o dumplings are supper tonight...and the cake.

Good day all!
Judy, the strange thing about Bosco is that he does not eat a lot and he is not food driven. He weighs around 110-115 pounds now , I think, but he does not eat too much. He is supposed to eat 8 cups of dry dog food a day and most days he only eats half of that. It is nice to love him and then send him home! Same as with the kids! ![]()
Anthony and grandson, Andrew, came up on Friday and spent the night. Aaron came over today with his kids and they all played a role playing game and had many laughs. I laughed just listening to them play. It is sort of like the Dungeons and Dragons game, but much easier.
Theresa, how nice that you have a lemon tree! I love lemon desserts of any sort.
Still cold. Devonne, that is really cold for as far south as you are located.
Janet, would you move further south or would you rather move back to the New York area? I know you have not been happy there.

Tracy messaged me a pic of BJ to post, and I went to email it Sandra, but I have 2 email addresses. Sandra, which one is correct?

Burr..... Cold here. Snow didn't amount to much. But it is on top of the still frozen sleet from last weekend.
Darrell fell again this morning. Happened in bedroom. Couldn't get up. Called the 2 youngest grandsons to come help. Barbara and Mike came too. They got him up. STAYED A FEW MOMENTS TO MAKE SUE HE WAS OK. I WATCHED HIM CAREFULLY. LUCKY HE WAS NOT HURT.
HOPE EVERYONE IS WELL.
THINKING OF EVERYONE. PRAYERS.......
