TWO-HEADED HEADLINES.....
1. GROVER MAN DRAWS PRISON TERM, FINE FOR SEX ACTS.
2. PANDA MATING FAILS; VETERINARIAN TAKES OVER.
WE SURE ARE GETTING THE COLD. IT WAS 5 BELOW ZERO WHEN I WOKE AT 6. WENT BACK TO SLEEP. LATEST REPORT IS WE ARE ON THE LINE WHETHER WE GET 8-12 OR 12-24 INCHES OF SNOW. ITS NOT STARTED YET.
TWO OF THE BOOKS I ORDERED CAME YESTERDAY SO I WILL HAVE SOMETHING GOOD TO READ WHEN WE DON'T HAVE POWER.
YUP, I AM PLANNING ON IT. WE ALWAYS LOSE OUR POWER AND THIS STORM IS A BIGGY.
I HOPE TO GET SOME POTATO PANCAKES MADE BEFORE THE STORM BEGINS SO I CAN USE UP MY SOUR CREAM. I REALLY HATE WHEN TIME EXPIRES ON FOODS. ITS SO CLOSE IT NEEDS EATING.
ITS NOT GOOD NEWS ABOUT OUR BJ. SO SORRY TO HEAR THE LATEST. SHE IS SUCH A TREASURE. LOVE SEEING HER MORNING POSTS. SHE GETS ME STARTED. HANG IN THERE BJ. LOVE YOU.
MAY WE ALL GET THRU THIS STORM WITHOUT MANY PROBLEMS. HUGS FOR YOU ALL. QB S

Linda’s correct… snow has stopped here to… leaving us with about 2” or less. BUT the bad news it’s supposed to sleet all day! And be frigid. We can expect power outages for sure. DH is moving into panic mode. If the prediction is correct we won’t be able to get out or back in til the weekend. BBRRR

Prayers are going up for BJ & family!
Prayers are going up for all those in the path of the icy, snowy storms! What a mess! Hubby and I have family members spread throughout the storm's path, including 2 of his siblings and their families.
Sorry that I haven't been on lately. I am just getting over some crud that kept me down for over a week. Trying to rebuild strength!💪🏻
Stay safe, everyone! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Diane, I hope you are feeling a whole lot better.
It's been cloudy and foggy here. It rained earlier, but it's in the 40's so no freezing yet. Tonight it drops to 19 degrees and will freeze for sure if the rain continues.
Prayers and much love for our BJ.
I ordered clearance Christmas paper from Walmart after Thanksgiving. It was in my mailbox Friday, lol.
Today is a do nothing day. Someone here mentioned French toast (Trish maybe?) so that's what I had for lunch. Yummy good with confectioners sugar, pecans and sugar free maple syrup.
Holly, replied to your PM.
I am off to fix a second cup of coffee...good day for it!

Prayers for BJ and the family. Such heart-wrenching news.
We have about 9 inches of snow on the ground and still snowing. School has been called off already since the snow is supposed to go until noon Monday. No ice, thank goodness, just snow and cold. Supposed to stay below 20 degrees all next week so that means none of the snow will melt for a while.
Dean took the snowblower out and did our drive and the two widows across the street. He is so good to them.
Nothing much to say, so will close for now. Stay warm and safe all.

About 8 inches of snow, and is now raining. It’s 36 out, when it freezes will be a pain.
Dinner was ham, scalloped potatoes and corn, and enough left for his lunch tomorrow.
I got the tree skirt pin basted, will sew tomorrow. About 8 rows left to do on Sally Snake, then her tail.

so much snow for you all, stay safe. 🥶🥶
We had a scorcher yesterday, much cooler today, the a/c kept us comfortable during the night, it got down to about 80 by midnight.
Nothing planned today except return some shoe inserts I got for the Mr, he tried them and didn’t like them, I didn’t want to go out in yesterdays heat.
We got pizza last night, both Pete & I tried the app, it’s horrible, got it done in the end. We only ate about 1/2 of each, the leftovers can reheat in the airfryer.
DEVONNE not me for the french toast 😁
be safe everyone

AS OF 7 PM SUNDAY WE HAVE ABOUT 6 INCHES OF SNOW AND STILL FALLING. POWER IS FINE SO FAR BUT WE MAY LOSE IT OVERNIGHT. MORE SNOW COMING. IF YOU DO NOT HEAR FROM ME TOMORROW, YOU KNOW ITS BECAUSE OF POWER LOSS.
STAY WARM AND SAFE LADIES. HUGS, QB S![]()

The official word is that there was 13” of snow in my county. There are a few small spots in my yard where I can see the ground but many other spots where the drifts are 2’. Thankfully we had no ice and no loss of power. This morning the temp was 9 with feels like temp of -8! I don’t plan to poke my nose out of the door before at least Wednesday. Even then it is not predicted to be above freezing. The guy next door plowed my driveway last year but is in India on a business trip now so tomorrow I will try to find someone else to do it. Hopefully by Friday all roads between me and Memphis will be cleared so I can go to David’s for our family Christmas. He said they had some ice.

Still have power. But sleeting. So we could still lose it. It’s supposed to be extremely cold this week so the driveway will not be passable. I have 2 appointments which I will try to reschedule tomorrow.
My DD now has 20” of snow in less than 24 hrs. No ice, no sleet. It’s posed to end there tomorrow afternoon. 🙄😳. No power outages. .

Precipitation has ended but cold and windy. We were lucky not to have freezing rain. We did have a lot of sleet on top of a very fine, powdery snow. We have kept power so hope we continue to keep it.
Will check in tomorrow if can.
Stay warm and safe.
Thinking of everyone. Prayers..........

No power outages! Partly sunny. Hypothermia alert for today, tonight and tomorrow.
Just wondering how many check their inbox here?

STUDENTS GET IT WRONG......
1. IN "THE GLASS MENAGERIE" LAURA'S LEG KEEPS COMING BETWEEN HER AND OTHER PEOPLE.
2. THE DEATH OF FRANCIS MACOMBER WAS A TURNING POINT IN HIS LIFE.
NO POWER LOSS HERE. MAYBE 10-12 INCHES BUT ITS NOW STARTED FOR TODAY AND 1-3" COMING BEFORE ITS ENDING.
AND ITS STARTED AGAIN, ALSO LIGHT AND POWDERY SO I DON'T EXPECT TO LOSE POWER. WE WERE LUCKY THERE. IT WAS SO LIGHT IT DIDN'T TAKE DOWN POWER LINES.
TODAY I HAVE TO PUT UP A NEW JIGSAW PUZZLE TO WORK SINCE THE LAST ONE IS FINALLY DONE. AND I WANT TO START MY NEW BOOK. I WILL SIT IN THE COMMON ROOM AND ENJOY THE LIGHT AND A COMFY UPHOLSTERED ROCKER.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT I WILL BE COOKING NEXT. I HAVE SOME POTATO PANCAKES LEFT TO FINISH (I MADE SOME YESTERDAY BEFORE THE SNOW STARTED) AND THERE ARE SOME PORK SAUSAGE PATTIES. MAYBE A COUPLE OF SOFT-BOILED EGGS WITH THE SAUSAGE FOR BRUNCH, AND THEN FINISH THE PANCAKES FOR SUPPER. THEN I CAN THINK ABOUT WHAT TO DEFROST. MAYBE PORK CHOPS.
PRAYERS CONTINUE FOR OUR BJ. HUGS AND MORE HUGS BJ.
I HOPE YOU ALL FARED WELL THRU THIS STORM. ITS ONLY JANUARY SO THERE MAY BE ANOTHER ONE OR TWO THAT WILL RAGE ACROSS OUR MAP.
STAY WARM LADIES. HUGS, QB S ![]()

I've had BJ on my prayer list for days. I'm glad that everyone is checking in with good news so far.
We're fine here. It's cold but no power outages and pipes are holding fine.
I have a field trip tour tomorrow; we're waiting to see whether the school district cancels classes. If not, we're going to bundle up and go! Let's hope the kids have sense enough to wear jackets. Sigh..........
Offline
Janet, when I bring up the group on my iPad, it tells me if I have any new messages, so I check then.
Carol, kids and jackets? Of course it’s more important to look cool than it is to be warm!
We got about a foot total. Town has been plowing and putting sand down.
I didn’t like how Sally Snake looked, so I ripped it out back to her head, and will redo. I sort of quilted the tree skirt, I just stitched along the seams and trimmed. All that’s left to do is the background.
Tracy just posted that BJ may be discharged Wednesday on meds. bj is having a better day today than yesterday, she said.
Dinner will be a shredded chicken casserole that I’ve made before.
My daughter is on a GLP-1 for weight loss, has been for months. She says it removes the food noise of wondering what the next meal will be. I have a different food noise, it’s a “what am I going to feed him” noise, LOL. I’m still down 45, I seem to be stuck, but at least it’s not going up.

I'm glad no one has had any power outages. Keeping my fingers crossed for you, Janet.
That's good news about BJ. Thanks for the update, Holly.
Janet, I don't check my inbox for messages. I just wait for someone to tell me they sent me a PM, lol.
I lost 1/2 lb. last week. Not much, but better than a gain. I still need to lose 2 lbs. to weigh what I weighed on Dec. 15th, lol. I've definitely been too sedentary and that hasn't helped.
