I appreciate the sympathy and prayers for those who have died, or been injured, it's been a strange time here, the feeling is subdued, and also quite angry AND frustrated.
I had a better day today, yesterday was not great, did training today, and we all had a good time there, then to the mall and tried to find something nice to wear, I had seen something online and wanted to check it out, lucky I did, it wasn't good LOL
Also picked up my new sunglasses, now I am sure to find the old ones LOL Plus bought curry for dinner, with naan bread.
It's turned quite cool here today, even have a sweater on - just a light Kathmandu one, but still....it is summer.
I don't use any of the sweeteners, I use sugar if cooking and no sugar in coffee (or tea) I do like some sweet things though - particularly dark chocolate, keep the temptation away from me, didn't have to see the gift bags of goodies any longer thank heavens, he took them today. I usually have soda water when out, I like the "fizz" ![]()
Nothing changed of course, his brother talked over him, and he just didn't bother any more. I'm kind of glad that the drink his brother insisted SHE try and she drank while she stayed with him, she has not had once since she returned LOL
We suspected as much, he thinks he knows, but we have dealt with her a lot longer and know how it goes with her. And the staff are clueless as well, they think they can change her habits, with encouragement
She is way more stubborn than that!
I have a Drs check up tomorrow, and then I plan on doing some sewing, I ned to post a few cards as well, might get them done now, and maybe I can get them sent before the Drs

Good Morning to everyone! I'm having trouble getting on here, but after awhile, I did it!!! Hope everyone is doing well today. It is very cloudy here today, but totally still. Strange day!! I don't have a thing planned for today, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

Trish, angry and frustrated sure describes it!
Our heat went out last night around 9! A circulator pump, which was replaced last January, so is still under warranty. We have a service contract, so they were here already and replaced it. It went down to 17 outside last night, and was about 50 in here. Good thing we have an electric blanket! I have on heavy socks and my biggest heaviest sweatshirt. Heat is good!
Dinner is a mystery meal, Ralph froze and didn’t label something, so I have it defrosting.

Trish: I am so sorry about what happened. Wish I had a way to stop it all! But alas I do not! ![]()
I have made my peanut clusters, and went to make QB's walnut clusters, chopped the nuts to realize I was chopping pecans! I bought Walnuts on Sunday so I can make them today! Maybe some pecan pies too! We will see. I am still cleaning, a deep clean too! I am hosting the neighborhood ladies gift exchange tomorrow night! Right now I am in good shape for it! I just need to put my file boxes away and to move the Slide carousels out of the dining room! I even have a place to put them! Scary I know! ![]()
Tomorrow I will move furniture, and set up the room. Hubby and Simba will stay in my room! Simba would beg food from everybody and in this house that's a no-no! ![]()
That's everything from my little corner of the world! ![]()
Later my Friends! ![]()

Really nice today. It has reached 55 degrees.
I was able to address only 5 Christmas cards yesterday. I have a pinched nerve in my neck. I'm sure from working on a puzzle too long. I forgot it's a tilting table! It has kept me from doing much of anything except laundry and cooking a little. I am using an ice pack and a heating pad. I watched some You Tube exercises which have helped a lot. Maybe tomorrow I can clean house.
Today has been one year since my DM. There aren't any scars. I still have some tightness. I doubt it will ever completely go away, but it's a lot better. I see my surgeon on 12/29 for a checkup.

Devonne- it’s a F350 Ford Spercab with Tremor package…more than you wanted to know, right?
I could say a lot about the tragedy in Australia, but I won’t because I would probably be kicked off this board.
I will say this…banning guns is not the answer as the “bad guys” will always find a way to get them. Done….if anyone wants to go further then message me.
Thank you for all the Hanukkah wishes. lol, I made reservations for Christmas Eve dinner. And New Year’s Eve too.

Happy birthday to Greg too! He turned 49! We're going out to dinner. ![]()
Happy birthday to my sister, Shelby. She turned 80 today! I sent her a package from Amazon (never send anything to the memory care center, always to Melena's house). I was able to get her a birthday card on Amazon too! ![]()
Feeling better today and on the second load of dishes. Thank goodness laundry is caught up.
Janet, thanks and happy Hanukkah to you.
I still haven't wrapped any Christmas presents, but I don't have as many to wrap this year. I'll get that done tomorrow.

Happy Birthday Judy! And Greg!
Ralph went out our back door and almost fell flat! Meltage from the roof landed on the landing and froze overnight. It’s 42 now, so we should get some good melting today. It’s nice and sunny also.

Good Morning to everyone!! Hope you are all having a nice day. We've had a ton of rain, but it isn't raining right now, thank goodness. Rhonda stayed overnight, but, right now she's leaving to get a cup of tea from somewhere!! Gloria just arrived to clean the house today. It's so nice to have someone clean as I can't do anything right now. My legs just don't work anymore.
Well, I really don't have a thing to say this morning, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

2. I THINK ITS WRONG THAT ONLY ONE COMPANY MAKES MONOPOLY.
ANOTHER COLD AND SUNNY DAY HERE IN THE FAR NORTHEAST.
NOT MUCH TO REPORT TODAY. I DID MY LAPS AND MADE UP THE TUNA AND SHARED WITH SHARON NEXTDOOR WHO BROUGHT ME SOME BROWNIE MIX, TINY POTATOES, AND SOME FRESH LIGHT RYE BREAD FOR SANDWICHES. I WILL MAKE SMASHED TATERS WITH THE LITTLE TATERS THIS WEEK AND BROWNIES SOMETIME IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
I HAVE BEEN NIBBLING ON MY CASHEW CLUSTERS AND THEY ARE NEARLY GONE. YUP, I NEARLY ATE THE WHOLE THING. BUT THEY ARE SOOO GOOD.
STILL, I AM AMAZED THAT I AM NOT GAINING LIKE I THOUGHT I WOULD. I AM STILL DOWN 26 LBS. I GUESS ITS FROM MY SMALLER MEAL PORTIONS. LESS GOOD FOOD AND MORE CRAPPY STUFF.
BINGO TONITE SO PLEASE, LADIES, REMEMBER TO SEND ALONG GOOD WISHES THAT I BRING HOME A BIT.
JUDY.....HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU TODAY. ARE YOU DOING ANYTHING SPECIAL?![]()
DEVONNE.....GOOD BIRTHDAY WISHES TO YOUR FAMILY AS WELL. OUR KIDS ARE GROWING UP. I STILL CALL MY GRANDS THE KIDS AND THEY ARE IN THEIR 30S. MY REAL KIDS I DON'T WANT TO REMEMEBER THEIR AGES. THEY ARE BOTH GETTING UP THERE.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO JUDY/INDY Enjoy your day today, have a wonderful year to come ![]()
Happy Birthday to Greg too DEVONNE I hope Shelby has a nice day too,
JANET appreciate the thoughts, but we will probably strengthen g** laws, we have had no mass sh00tings here since 1990s, the bigger problem is the radicalisation of people by ISIS, and with technology they can be radicalised anywhere. The two men here were just hate filled individuals spurred on by ISIS, and as we say here "not the sharpest tools in the shed" they had pipe b0mbs and explosives, but crudely made and not detonated.
The internet while good in lots of instances can also be so harmful, hence the laws now for kids under 16 here, I hope it makes a difference, when I see what some people write on FB I cringe, imagine what they do in snap chats etc. Kindness always for the win, in my opinion for what it's worth.
SANDRA best wishes for Bingo tonight, eating those snacks - while not so good for you - is just a treat, you won't have them soon, so enjoy while you can, as our coach says, enjoy treats mindfully, don't deprive yourself, life's too short
BJ so good to see you can post each day, and it's lets us know you are doing OK, the girls look after you both so well
It will be a busy day for me both today and tomorrow, my grocery order will be ready before 9, and I need to leave by 9.15 for trading, so just enough time to get the fridge things away, then pack the rest when I get home, then I need to get my nails done and pick up a few things, tomorrow we leave before 8 to do the Christmas shopping.
I know I will be exhausted when I get home, Megan needs to be back by 11am, so we need to move quickly, after that I will just relax.
Both days (plus the few after that) will be very hot, and the stores will be busy.
Dean was at a friends last night, I may get called on to get him, but John should be available
Time for me to get dressed, ready for the call to pick up my groceries, I just love that I can do a pick up, saves so much time, but almost made an awful mistake, I had put into my cart all the chocolates, biscuits, nuts etc for the gifts for the hostel, I realised I hadn't ordered a couple things, and went to change the order and noticed that I hadn't removed them, I was going to go store with the list on my phone, YIKES that would have been a lot of stuff we really didn't want. So I was lucky to be able change the order.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JUDY!! I hope it was a great one for you. ![]()
Happy birthday Greg!!
Nothing much to report here either. It was warmer today and the snow has been melting all day. There are puddles of water everywhere. My feet got soaked just going to the grocery store as the parking lot had 2 inches of water in it. I just had to pick up a couple of things.
Gabriel and Amelia have mid-term exams on Thursday and Friday and do not have to go to school until 9:00 am, so they will be staying here tonight and tomorrow night. We only live 5 minutes from the school and Aaron lives 20, so it is easy for them to go from here. Aaron has to be at work by 8:00 a.m., so he drops the kids off at school at 7:00a.m.
Amelia and I wrapped a couple of Christmas presents and she is going to a birthday party for a friend and we had to wrap that gift too.
Sandra, good luck at bingo!!
Supposed to be near 50 degrees tomorrow, so Dean and I are hoping to get outside to go walk. We will go get Bosco and get him out too. He loves the cold weather and just runs and runs when we take him to the park.

Thank you all for the birthday wishes. It was a low-key day but we did go to town. Got pizza at our favorite place with more than half to bring home and eat for supper. The restaurants I grew up with, my favorites, are long gone and while our town has scads of new ones, we're unfamiliar with them and out of our realm in them. So, now we just go to our tried and true ones--rather boring... Sometimes ML takes me to one of the newer ones that she's familiar with and that's much more enjoyable than dragging Howard to some place he's uncomfortable with.
He gave me $60 to spend on myself. I love getting money. Pitiful, isn't it? ![]()
After we ate, we made one of our endless trips to W-M for one of the endless Rxes he or I take and got the ingredients for what I'm making for the family Christmas on Sunday.
Had a nice phone call with my son, Danny this evening. He never misses on our birthdays and I love that. He and I made some silly plans for when we get together on Sunday that will be a surprise to the rest--our comedy act!
We're ready to hit the hay. Hope you all have a restful night and sweet dreams. ![]()

Good Morning to everyone!! It rained overnight, but has stopped for awhile! I have no plans for the day, No ambition!! Rhonda just informed me that she's going out for Tea, but when she gets back, she'll make breakfast for us all. That's a nice break for me!!
Well, I really don't have a thing to say this morning, so will sign off, wishing you all well, BJ.

Another sunny day here, going up into the 50’s! Wind advisory. I saw a news station video taken on the Idaho Utah border, where the wind was so strong that tractor trailers were on their sides! That’s scary!
3 days til the Solstice and a week til Christmas! Yikes, we’re (thankfully) running out of 2025. How’s everyone’s holiday prep going?
Dinner tonight is another mystery meal. Ralph is good about packaging leftovers and putting them in the freezer, but forgets to label them. Tonight’s looks to be some sort of chicken casserole. Always an adventure!
Judy, I loved it when my parents gave us Christmas and birthday money, so I give money to my kids and kids in law. Every year Ed, who’s only 14 years younger than me, tells me I can stop whenever I want to, and I tell him I’ll stop whenever I die.

Holly, Howard complained that since it took me more than 1/2 a yr. to buy something with the $50 he gave me last yr., he wasn't giving me money again. Guess he forgot that !
Like many of us, I can have/buy what I want but it's just fun to have that bit of cash waiting in the wings...
The tow truck just came to haul his pickup to the garage. The brake line broke a few days ago while he was plowing and while there is usually a bit of braking still, this time Howard had absolutely none. The mechanic told him that while he's completely booked up, the sooner the truck got there, he might be able to fit it in between jobs.
Thanks Janet for the b.d. wishes. Belated is good...Howard's ex called me this morning a day late.![]()

I'm so late in getting here today. I do like my MacBook Air, but I wish it held a longer charge. I have to charge it every day.
I've been looking at LVP flooring for months. There are many decisions to make. It comes in 3", 6" and 9" wide and also 48" and 72" long. Which do you want? lighter or darker? Micro or enhanced bevels? Will you need a vapor barrier? I went with dark in the 6". I think it will look better in my house and it's a lot more in my budget. Greg ordered it today. He put it on his credit card and he gets 3% back. He thinks I'm paying him back, lol! ![]()
It's out of stock until the middle of January, no hurry. The installation will be more than the flooring. I went with the same company Greg used called Flooret.
It's going to be so nice not to vacuum and shampoo carpet anymore. It's also waterproof if Gracie has an accident.
I've been resting today. My neck is a lot better, but my shoulder is still stiff. I'm not overdoing any housecleaning, just as I feel like it. Tylenol does help with the pain. I'm not sure if I should do these puzzles anymore, lol. Even though I have a tilting table, it's hard not to bend your neck over the table.
